We have been buying meat there for years. Small town store, very nice people! The quality of meat is unsurpassed! When cooking their ground beef/ chuck you don't have to drain the grease off the pan at all, seriously! Their chuck roast, rib-eyes and pork chops always turn out with a melt in your mouth consistency every time. They also offer lunch specials of homemade soups and sandwiches--yum!! They offer meat packages and will prepare the meat just about any way you need it. Get away from the store chains meat department and experience REAL Meat, you will never go back. I am writing this review in hopes Dave's Meat Market will be in business for many years to come! It is very hard to find a meat store like this nowadays! Very, Very satisfied customer!

Place has a terrible stench and always has dirty appearence. Meat has little to no marbling and lacks in flavor. Whatever vendor their slab bacon comes from, it is a good product.

We normally have good service at Dave's but today, the cashier was absolutely rude and miserable. When asked how she was doing, she replied rudely "just wonderful". No smile, no please and no thank you after handing her $50 of our hard earned money for our purchases. I realize people have bad days but this person (dark hair, glasses and in her 40's) was outright nasty. It makes me rethink going back there if this person treats customers this way.

This market is good for near orders for your freezer or lunch meat orders for hoagie night. The store is always busy but the staff is very quick and efficient so the wait is not that long. They have a website for you to make your selections before you go. You can also call ahead and they will have your order ready when you arrive

I call 20 minutes ahead asking for six steaks to be cut 1.5”. I arrive to find six hacked up cuts of meat with the explanation the guy who cuts the meat was out running errands. I said no problem..be back in 30 mins after going to get other items on my list. Head back and still no steaks. Sad when you want to support the little, local shop and they can’t get out of their own way.

I have shopped at Dave's Meat Market for over 30 years and the quality of their meat has never wavered. I, also, love the butchers. Yes, real butchers, and the service is great. The prices are reasonable and the meat packages helped me keep within my budget. There are packages with only beef or poultry only. The barbeque package is enough to last a month. Over the years, I have introduced many young people to Dave's. I will continue to go to Dave's Meat Market for as long as I can.

I've shopped here many times mostly for meats to cook out on the grill, I have bought their pork BBQ, beef BBQ, tuna salad, chicken salad, pork chops, chicken breast, thick cut bacon, beef hot dogs, sub sandwiches, various steaks, and I'm sure a few things I am forgetting. This business has been here a very long time, and I would guess it probably looks the same way it did almost 50 years ago, but in an old fashioned good way, ha. The building is old, the parking lot is small and sometimes difficult to navigate, as there is a constant flow of vehicles in and out. The inside is small and lined with meat counters in the front, breads on the right, and coolers filled with cold drinks, fresh brown eggs, milk, and other items at the rear. So there is not much room inside, and sometimes the lines are too the door. Seems most people in line just buy a few meats for a special dinner that night. While the large orders are assembled after hours and available for pick up at the side door. This is a locally owned and family operated, real butcher shop. It's not fancy like an expensive chain store might be, but what it lacks in looks, it makes up for in fresh and great tasting meats. The owner can cut you specific sizes of a meat if you wish. They stay very busy and are well known to the locals, as one of the best meat shops around anywhere. They also sell large quantities of meats in many various packages, and can custom design a package just for you. Such as 25 lbs of mixed beef, 50 lbs of pork and beef, or even 100 lbs of pork, beef, and chicken. Those are just examples, but they can fill your freezer with anything cuts of meats you want. The more you buy the lower the cost goes. I do not recall ever getting a bad cut of meat from here. It is always very fresh, a good cut, cooks well, is juicy, tasty, and ends up making a great meal. This is an authentic old time, old style butcher shop, that you normally only see in small towns nowadays, and it is worth the time to stop in and buy your meat here instead of from a large retail franchise chain store.

Dave's has the best meat around the Greenfield area. I love the freshness and quality, plus the people are always nice and friendly. They are always willing to go the extra mile to package it in portions for you or make it easy and just bulk wrap it if that's how you want it. The "mom and pop's" feel when you go in the store makes you feel at home and welcome. If you go during the middle of the day, be prepared to wait a few minutes as they are normally busy during the hours of 11am- about 3 or 4pm. The wait is well worth it in my opinion!! Dave's is a must have if you want freshly butchered and quality meats. Plus they have great potato salad and Dave's baked beans are to die for!!! Their soups are delectable as well. Dave's is a must try!

I was not satisfied with this meat market. People are friendly and pleasant but the price of meat is horrible, Me and my wife gave $14.56 for three pounds of bacon I can get 10 pounds for $15.00 at Value Market in Mooresville. We are a family of 6 so I usually get 10 pounds of hamburger, 10 pounds of bacon, 10 thick bone in chops, chicken,sausage and not even spend $70 bucks but here I got 3 pound bacon,10 pound hamburger and three rib-eye for $76. No I will not do business with Dave’s again
