You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is basically the best, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the assessment is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to write tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Butcher Shop is classified in the category of Butcher shop.
From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. They have really fresh meat and the pork sirloin on the cutting board smelled and tasted heavenly. Had an amazing sandwich. Chatted with one of the staff for a while and learned a lot. Amazing knowledge and willing to share. Wish it wasn't so far from home! Will definitely return.
First time here. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Pretty good selection of meats with a variety of spices, produce, etc. Love the atmosphere. The 30 day dry-aged strip steak I got was delicious.
We bought New York strip steaks yesterday, but they were very tough. I know grass fed beef is leaner, but these steaks were tough to chew. Not worth the money.
Pricey, but good cuts of meat and some truly amazing sausages.
Rude and expensive. Sandwiches used to be good but they quit doing those. Prob because they couldn't get enough suckers to pay $10 for them anymore.
Just moved to the area and happy to have this place around the block. Their sausages weren't to our taste and the cuts are pricey, but my wife and I are convinced that their steaks (we've had 3 different cuts so far) are the best steaks we've ever eaten. Color is spot on, tender, juicy....olive oil, salt, pepper, grill. Can't wait to try more!
We were in need of a last minute prime rib for a family BBQ last weekend. They did not have the meat were looking for initially, but after a few phones calls, they were able to make it work. They were very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They even recommended another butcher shop in town at first when they thought they couldn't help us. Once I learned of their story using the whole animal, buying from local sources, and striving for humane and sustainable sources, I was hooked. We will definitely be back!
Good meat. Simple store. Prices don't seem as high as Marczyk. Very convenient, and they have lard bars.
One of the first things I do when I visit a new place is find good food and drink to stock my place with. And, OH MY GOD, the brisket! I can't help myself... I'm here for 2 days and may have to go back. The service was great and selection was fun!
Great place for aged beef and other meats. Slightly disappointed they didn't have beef cheeks or take a special order for it considering it was recommended by well hmm.... we'll just say a Chef friend of mine. The dry aged rib eye however did make up for it!
I go here when I am trying to perfect a recipe and need meat that is impeccable.
My whole hearted recommendation goes to Western Daughters Butcher Shoppe! We came from the ranch and found a place that keeps it real.... real meat... real talk, no bs... no up selling... just real people selling quality products.
High quality local meat. If you care where your food comes from this is the place to go. Small selection of produce and other local goods too.
New to the area, decided to try a new shop. Very uneven sizes, very fatty, priced extremely high. Very unappealing shop setup.

I was on a roadtrip to Denver when I stumbled into this little slice of keto heaven. The selection is quite good. I happily bought a pound of ground beef and bacon with 10 Star Wars shaped beef fat pads (dont know if theres a technical term for those. Doesnt matter; theyre Star Wars.) Fast forward 2 days and 1000 miles. First thing in the door I throw a Yoda cube into the trusty cast iron and cook up a 1/2 pound. Incredible. The fat melted instantly and kept a high heat while absorbing nicely into the meat. And the meat... the balance of bacon to some amazing beef was perfect. Flavors complimented and collaborated while still finding the space to stand apart. It left me satiated and a little stunned. Denverites, you have to suffer the many indignities of a mega city but at least you have Western Daughters. Count yourself lucky.
Excellent. My friend and I decided to stop in to pick up some meat to bring back to his house to grill. On the counter was a freshly cooked brisket, which we were invited to sample. Covered in salt, to push the fat back into the meat, the brisket was the most delicious brisket I have ever had. We abandoned our plans of getting meat to take back for grilling and bought a pound of the brisket. Great knowledge about locally raised meat, wonderful variety. A fantastic butcher shoppe!
I've been going here for years now and the customer service never changes. The staff is knowledgeable about their product and are patient to answer questions. Fantastic product, I've never been disappointed. It's hard to walk out with only one item. Go here, it's everything you'll love about meat.
Always an awesome place to get the best meats
The local butcher shop is a lost gem in virtually every neighborhood, but Western Daughters shines today. We've gotten beef, pork, chicken, bratwurst, breakfast sausages, vegetables, and soups--all of which were delicious. The chicken though...the chicken is otherworldly! We regularly get a number of pieces and are blown away every time by how tender and delicious they are. We'll definitely be back and recommend you go to support a local place while getting some great cuts.
Awesome place
if you want to pay $175 for a leg of lamb, and have the lamb be very happy, having been raised in a pasture with soothing music and eating nothing but the prime cuts of grass, and be lulled to sleep by nursery rhymes before it is bonked, have at it. Yes, kidding. However that's the impression I get from this and others catering to millennials who profess poverty yet are somehow able to afford cuts like this, and who detest store-bought that is probably three times cheaper at nearby Edwards. This place, while good, is waayyyy overpriced for the value. But, hipsters rejoice, this is your place!
Amazing grassfed and pastured local meats and produce. Great staff and customer service.
Awesome staff, awesome product and a true nod to integrity here. Prepared brisket I had tonight was out of this world delicious. Have nothing but nice things to say.
Unique concept. Lovely space. Knowledgable staff. Outstanding products and quality. The smoked brisket and bone broths are CANDY! Wish that you were closer for my special items. $$$$
Best butcher in town, and has a fun veggie section with exotic mushrooms, cheeses, etc.
Organic? Safe? Grass fed? Knowledgable? Yup, you get that here. Plus, it is nice to walk in the door only knowing how to cook one thing (um, a hamburger) and be able to chat across the counter with friendly staff who directed me to a recipe. Best. Meal. Ever. If you come here every week, after a year, you 'll be a gourmet chef able to cook anything. I should know, I can cook five things now (including a skirt steak with lemon grass from the spice store down the hill).
The best place to get any type of meat in Denver from the highlands to cheeseman park. Awesome customer service plus a great selection of meats and other various things( veggies, drinks, seasoning spices, etc). Found my go to butcher for the future.
Truly one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. I ordered a 12-15 pound turkey, 2 weeks in advance of Thanksgiving. The store waited until we picked up the bird 2 days before the holiday to let us discover on our own that they had sold us a smaller turkey than ordered. When I called to see about switching out for a larger turkey in order to feed our whole crowd, I was told “we got as close as we could and we’re totally sold out.” Western Daughter always has greats products and usually has exceptional service. I would not recommend ordering your thanksgiving turkey or other holiday meal though.
Great service. Great quality products.
Super duper friendly staff. We walked in and the guy behind the counter explained their sourcing. We are just in Denver for visit and wanted to see what they offered. We walked out with some delicious pork ribs to eat on our walk. I’d like to call this a pork-cicle. Thanks again.
The sausages were amazing and they had brisket prepared and they gave us great sized portions!
This has got to be the most hipster butcher shop on earth but if you don't mind paying for expensive sausages they are worth it. I've been in here about 5 times and everything we've gotten has tasted fantastic. The sausages don't seem to have much binder in them so they kind of fall apart when you cut through the skin after cooking, it's an interesting and different texture that encourages you to taste every morsel of meat. I also got pork belly from them once and they offered to slash the skin so it crisped up nicely in the oven. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Knowledgeable employees and quality meats make this place worth visiting. It's conveniently located on Tejon and it's a frequent by residents who don't have a quality grocery store near by.
Best butcher around downtown. Great selection and great staff. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for.
Amazing quality selections across the board, the only negative is that you will never want to go out to dinner again when you realize that you can have way way higher quality from this butcher if you simply cook it yourself :)
Far and away the best butcher I have ever been to. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, happy to chat about any questions that you have and provide tips with what you are attempting to do. Whether it has been direction on curing a coppa (only place I could find that even knew what that was) for my curing chamber, or different methods of making liver pate, they are happy to help. Couldn't recommend more. It may cost a few dollars more than the meat at the local grocery, but on par with Whole Foods, and such a better product and experience, I would never consider getting a good piece of meat anywhere else.
High quality butcher shop, only one I’ve found in denver with quality meats (grass fed and pasture raised). But not your typical grass fed beef, theirs is well marbled and great tasting! We bought a prime rib roast for Christmas Eve dinner and it was the best prime rib I’ve ever eaten ( sorry Shannahans and Guard and Grace)!
Always the best!
Best pork I've ever had
This place is great, because of the way that it is.
Don’t waste you time coming here chances are they will be closed by the time you get here.
Amazing ribs!! Great food
Very pleasant experience today. A female butcher offering great customer service. She may have been an owner. She seemed quite empowered, relaxed and friendly. I haven't been here in years before today because the service was sometimes very unpleasant, butchers expecting tips, a ring super cool and being pissed if they did not get tips, rather than focusing on customer service. Prices are quite high, but the product is usually very good (except for some dried out ground beef I paid a lot for a few years ago, around the time I stopped coming in) and I didn't want to make the effort to complain and return it.) Glad I came in today just for the good experience in my neighborhood.
What a place extremely nice and outstanding selections
Best butcher in town!!!
This place has phenomenal locally sourced, pastured meats. It's my favorite butcher ever. The service and knowledge of the staff is also exceptional.
Best butcher shop I've ever had the pleasure to frequent!
Usually I can find exactly what I need here and I'm a huge fan of their mission. They also have great customer service and are approachable

Honestly, the girl working today was awful. I was 100% inconveniencing her for coming in. I wanted to sign up for their monthly box but kind of glad I didn’t, based on my customer service experience. Probably won’t be buying my Thanksgiving ducks from them either. Otherwise, they have a nice selection of local meats and a small amount of local produce.

This is everything that you want in a butcher shop!! Every time I am there I am impressed with the knowledge of the whole staff. They actually care..... I know that this is rare in the retail world today, but it is clear in the way that they interact with each customer. I love everything there from the meat to the specialty items to the house made broth. The quality (humanely raised, grass fed, organic meats), and attention to detail is evident everywhere. I keep finding ways to go back! 2 years later: I brought this up to write a review and see that I wrote one 2 years ago!! The amazing thing is that we still continue to go back every week and continue to find awesome new products and consistent quality/ amazing experience!! If you care about what you are eating (and what the animals ate) then this is somewhere you need to know! The knowledge of the staff and the care with which they choose their sourcing is amazing.
I’m not really a big reviewer but I came to this place because of their grass fed cuts. I got one of the worse filets I’ve ever had. I can appreciate that this happens sometimes but it just stands out in my mind due to its insanely high costs. Maybe costs should fluctuate on quality because I even suggested that it didn’t look the best but they assured me that it would be amazing. It was a nice place and I’m sure the meat is good sometimes. But can’t figure out how they justify such high costs.
Tired of being let down by costly steak houses, I finally purchased a proper grill and now I needed MEAT! First off the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Selection was just what I needed. I got the dry aged sirloin, NY Strip, and Rib eye. They cooked up to perfection and had that funk of the gods that makes men giddy. Each cut was outstanding but the sirloin was amaze-balls! I look forward to treating my self to a porter house next. Thanks ladies!
If I lived in the neighborhood I would probably go here occasionally for convenience. It is not worth going out of your way for. If you're young or new to going to a butcher or think Whole Foods is amazing then you'll like it. If you've lived in a city that has multiple butchers that compete and need to excel, this place will be a disappointment. If yer gonna drive to go to a butcher go to Edwards or Oliver's in that order. They carry enough stock to do what a butcher should be able to - cut to order.
If you’re posted hours open until 7, don’t close at 6:30. Lame
Fun selection, great products, helpful people and you can tell they actually care!
Fresh humanely raised meat, yes please! Definitely the best butcher in Denver - the people who work here are knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful! Make sure to sign up for rewards and keep going back!
I stopped eating grocery store meat. This place will change the way you think about meat.
