Locally owned family business. We've been buying our meat from Debbie for years. Excellent customer service and high quality meat. They also have a great selection of spices, marinades, etc. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We would never buy our meat anywhere else.

Updated below original review. Three starts for the quality of meat. However, we have ordered there about 5 times and every time there is something wrong with our order. They forget to put all the meat with the order, do not package correctly, or even forget to substitute a change and then tell us that the substitution was made and send us home short of the meat we ordered. It is a big disappointment that we will be shopping around for a different butcher. Hopefully, they can work out their process and customer service so we can return one day. Update: After researching and visiting lots of butchers in the Denver metro area, we have returned to Sam's. The solution has been to ask them to review our meat package with us. They have happily obliged. With the amount of business they receive (rightfully so) their process could use some revamping. But they are still the best around.

This market is so popular that you have to pull a ticket and wait your turn in line for your number to be called. The customer service is genuinely helpful and prompt in getting you exactly what you're looking for. I chose a full brisket that was fully trimmed and ready to go! It looked amazing and after smoking it for 10 hours it was equally delicious.

Sam's Meats is unique in a city filled with gigantic grocery stores and food warehouses! One star for being a great, "mom & pop," woman owned business that caters to carnivores of all types. One star for the new location, though there really wasn't anything wrong with the old location. It is brighter, with more windows, better lighting, and has a more upscale interior design. One star for the quality of all the products offered to satisfy all manner of carnivores as well as other treats. Sometimes I stop by just to pick up a pie! One star for the wide selection of land animals and water dwelling creatures to feast on and the sheer number of options available to rub on, dip in, shake over or marinate them. I do love their offerings! But no place is perfect, and my current gripe with Sam's Meats is that the new place is too big for them manage. It now feels cold and impersonal and they've lost the friendly vibe they used to have. They can't see the whole store hiding behind the meat counters in the back and so they no longer even say hello to their customers. It doesn't help that they decided to focus on reducing us to numbers. You can no longer just grab something from a case or counter and walk up to the register to check out like at the old place. You can stand right in front of them with your pie or BBQ sauce and you'll just get ignored! Forget expecting anyone to notice you or offer to help you if you are browsing around. So minus a star for running the new place like the DMV. Don't forget your number!!

They had so many different types of meat like rattlesnake, rabbit, venison, bison, boar, kangaroo etc. They also had more common meats like beef, duck, pork, and chicken. I'd definitely come back.

This is by far my favorite meat market/butcher shop and I've been a customer for many years. The new location is fantastic and the employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. The vast selection of meats, seafood, and accompanying items is tremendous. You'll even find hard-to-find stuff such as Snake River Farms meats and the super thick pork chops are my personal favorite. You won't be disappointed making Sam's your 1st choice.

Amazingly fresh meats at very reasonable prices. Will never go anywhere else for meats again. The only thing I wish is that they had a little more options for deli meat but that's not a negative on them as there unprepared meats are top notch and many options.

I love this meat market!! They have a large variety of meats, seafood, frozen meats, and a lot of different spices and rubs. There is so much more in their shop and the new location suits them just right. Everyone is very nice and helpful when it comes to all their products and cuts of meat. If you have to wait it is so totally worth it, hands down. I could spend all day complimenting Sam's but to some it up, Sam's has a quality and professional environment that is above my expectations!! This photo is of the Hand Cut Pork Baby Back Ribs. Love this place! I found Sam's after getting a smoker as a gift and looking for some better cuts of meat compared to the grocery store and now I can't even bring myself to buy any meat anywhere else! The quality and value can't be matched. Plus lots of organic, free range and almost any other "exotic" meat you can think of. Extremely knowledgeable friendly staff that is eager to help too.

Wife and I have been going here for years, but no more. Since their move their customer service has gotten even worse. Went in before the 4th and they were out of bacon. I don't live in town so the counter help said "call before you come in, make sure we have it!". Tried to call 5 times, only to be hung up on. So I went to the store anyhow. Took 45 min to buy 6 items, only to get home and find only 5 items in the bag. Tried to call them 5 more times, same result. Guess I'll have to find another butcher, or do without.

No doubt the best place to get what you need. A chef's playground! Beautiful store. The only kickback is the price is almost double for some items and the owner doesn't know the difference between a ham shank and a ham hock. Much love on a beautiful place though. Congrats!!

Without doubt the best place to get meat in Aurora, and they stand behind their products! I don't eat meat often, but when I do I'm looking for quality. Whether you are looking for a great steak, brisket, or something more exotic like wild boar or even rattlesnake, this is the place to go. I've also had their sea scallops, which were excellent! They have wagyu ribeyes at a good price, and a great selection of natural charcoal, wood chips/chunks, sauces, etc. Debbie is always very helpful.

Got a couple of 1lb rib eyes cut there yesterday. Here's the best part to me as a cook. They cut them both the same thickness, and there wasn't a difference between one side or the other. Other places I've been too have had good meat, but when it's cut to where one side of the steak is thinner than the other, or both steaks aren't cut the same thickness, you can't cook them properly without getting one bit too rare and another too well done. And the steaks? Awesome! Super tender, really high quality. We'll definitely be back.

So, I placed my order two weeks ago for a Prime rib. As I placed an order on Thanksgiving for meat. Thanksgiving pick up was much easier despite the amount of people waiting to order . Today however is the first time in 20 years I have ever had such a problem with the process. Normally you go on your order pick up day get in line and receive your order...Not now; now I was to pull a number in the high 70's while the counter read 10 I got in the checking out line waited 30 minutes to get called up only to find out I have to wait until they call my number, then tell them I am picking up then get back IN LINE!! Some have been here an hour waiting to all are in disbelief and talking about posting reviews. In my humble opinion they need dedicated pick up lines oand/or time slots. And another dedicated line for those who need to choose what they want. I like everyone else here LOVE this quality of thw meats. And although customer service remained it's stellar norm....This was crazy!!!!! Please figure out a better solution to the holiday pick-up/ check out and which line is which. I still love you Sam's Meat.

We live in the north metro area, but were down here for a swim meet. We stopped by and WOW were we impressed. Very nice shop inside with a fantastic selection. We were helped quickly and the employee behind the counter was very knowledgeable. We purchased baby back ribs, pork loin, Copper River salmon, and a few sausages. Everything was great, but the sausages really stood out. We'll be making a special trip back to this butcher.

Finely found some good meat in town. Never understood, how we are in the middle of cattle country, and nice meat is hard to find. First time in today, and impressed me as a true carnivore! Will be back weekly. Friendly, clean, and great meat! Oh my word, just, cooked up some T Bones,all I can is, holy smoke, beautiful meat. So naturally buttery, melts in your mouth like chocolate. I drove from Thornton to Sam's Meat Market after finding it on the internet. I was greeted promptly and warmly as soon as I entered. I ordered a super saver package and was taken care of right away. It was explained to me that everything is brought in and cut fresh everyday. I am blown away by the quality of meats, the cleanliness of the store and overall the customer service and professionalism of the staff. I will gladly make the drive again and have already begun to refer them to whomever will listen. It was a wonderful experience which completely surpassed my expectations. I've been going to this place since I was a kid with my mother so, to be treated so poorly is very disappointing. Since they have relocated to the bigger store the customer service is AWFUL. Even the old staff seems to lack knowledge of the promotionals listed online. I try to go during the week when they are not busy and even then they are short and rude. The new shop is even better than the old one. Granted they only moved across the street from the old location, the larger facility makes it even better. Staff is awesome , competent, and knowledgeable. I love that in no time at all, they'll Hand cut my Baby Backs instead of having to rely upon packer cut racks. If I had only one criticism, it's that they have so many varieties of rubs and sauces from all around the country, all of which are great, it will take me years to sample/try them all. Regardless what type or cut of meat, especially if you plan to throw it on a grill, there's no better place to go.

This place has it all! Local, organic, grass fed when possible and competitive prices with the grocery store. They will cut however you like. They can also grind and combine neats for sausages, meatloaves, etc. They have a freezer full of exotic meats. They have a wonderful selection of rubs and speciality sauces. The customer service is fabulous, the best around. We just absolutely love this store. Don't leave without a strawberry rhubarb pie!!
