This is the place to come for the perfect cut of meat from local sources! We are always happy with anything we purchase from Ranch Foods -- our favorite is the bacon and beef -- far better than anything you can get at the grocery store. Their new store is great, providing local beans, produce, fresh bread, and more! We love this place. It is clean and the staff are always nice and helpful.

The meat is definitely tasty but I don't understand why I can't get most of it unfrozen. 90% of the meat on the floor was already frozen and when I asked if I could place an order for everything to be unfrozen I was rudely told no. It's also very expensive but I understand why. Also the smoked gouda is AMAZING.

Your best source for ethical meat and amazing taste. The people who run the place are wonderful and I highly recommend checking them out, even if it's just to sample the fresh soups for lunch. I just can't rave enough about Ranch Foods.

I love this place and the people that run it. I first found out reading a local article that they carry the Sourdough Boulangerie bread that is made with a 350 year old italian starter! Super cool. I went there and the lady asked me if I wanted to look at the meats and I stated I was vegetarian. She explained how the Callicrate meat is humanely treated. They are grass fed and have 25 feet to roam per cow. They do not send them through a slaughter line which injects insane amounts of hormones into the meat. The animals are taken to a pasture and do not know they are being killed. This does not compel me to eat meat, but after seeing another review complaining about the price of the meat, I wanted to mention that you are paying for quality, and not quantity. I will keep going back to buy bread and encourage carnivores to make humane purchase and vote with your dollar.

I think the cheapest steak in the store was over $15 a pound, and that was for sirloin that barely looked like choice grade. The marbling was pitiful, and the meat just looked unappetizing. I moved up here from Texas and was accustomed to the $6.99/lb USDA prime sirloin I could get at my local butcher shop. Even the ribeye's at my hometown shop were never more than $12.99/lb. All they sold was USDA Prime steak, and you could tell. I also didn't like the fact that all the meat was prepackaged. I much prefer the butcher shops where you can get meat sliced to order if the meat in the case isn't what you are looking for.

I checked this place out on a Saturday and i was looking around for a short period of time. I seen a small what appeared to be a coffee bar and filled up a cup of what i thought was hot apple cider but ended up being broth! So i poured it out and seen a coffee pot next to it and i filled up a tiny cup with coffee to wash the nasty taste out of my mouth. I kept walking around looking when a shorter worker came yelled at me how was the broth and i ignored him until he yelled it at me again, i said it was coffee. He was so angry he yelled the coffee is not free and you must pay, i said i did not see a sign and he continued to harass me about it. I then clearly told him i was going to buy something but no longer since he was such a jerk and i left. Terrible customer service and not to mention the tiniest case of unfrozen meat i have ever seen and all things way overpriced.

Love this Colorado Springs resource! The meats have never disappointed; the flavors remind me of meats from my growing up years before all of the "additives" were given to cattle and ranchers were bought out by big commercial concerns. I went to Ranch Foods Direct for lunch today and it was delicious. I had to prepare my own meal but an employee informed me that they will have a dine in deli soon. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and also the variety of not only meat but also cheeses, dry goods, and honey. Every effort has been made to provide local pure food with a fair wage to the growers and ranchers. Highly recommended.

Overall great place. Clean, tidy, and calm environment. Staff were very knowledgeable of their products. Large selection of red meats and poultry. Being from Florida, I would've loved to see more of a diverse selection in the seafood section. Such as lobster, stone crab claws, snapper, etc. If they had this, I did not see it.

The best place to get meat in town! After eating this beef and pork, you will never want grocery store meat again! You can special order anything you want, and they have all those hard to find cuts like philly cheese steak, tri tip, and rouladen.

I went in looking for a certain product I saw being sold at a store/market in Guffey. 2 of the 3 people working behind register with no customer never spoke or asked if I needed help. A guy from the butcher area asked everyone shopping if they needed help but me. I guess you have to look a certain way for the employees to speak to you or help you. I heard it has great meat but customer service is worst than Walmart considering it is such a small store. I thought I was going to get good service but I was ignored when they only had 2 other customers besides myself in the store.

Although best know for their health meats and foods, what I end up buy most of is there dog bones. They have good variety of types and sizes, for my guy it is the medium size marrow bones.

Wow!! Not what I expected. They have almost everything you need. Its like a grocery store. I was able to get everything on my list. Amazing beef! I wish I checked it out sooner, we will be back to shop more. I guess if I was to say one thing that would have been nice for them to have would be cooking utensils, I need a new ladle ;-)

Besides our regular purchase of burgers, krauts, and steaks... this time we took home 2 of the large bacon wrapped meat loaves (loafs). OMG! 1 hour at 350 degrees and these babies were fantastic. An extra 10 minutes if you like your bacon crispy, and they are wrapped head to toe in juicy best ever bacon. Cheese on the inside too. Going back for more this week.
