I was disappointed in the butcher shop part of this business. They seem to be more focused on trendy sandwiches than on quality meat cuts.

Had a fantastic experience on the evening of 1/5. We walked in @ 630 thinking we would be laughed at for not having a reservation. Instead, the hostess walked us to the back bar where were had a cozy little corner and impeccable service by the bar staff. Our bartender recommended the Spanish Octopus so adamently that we added it to our order. It was perfect as was our entire evening. We were treated to many amazing dishes and with each, recommendations for different wine pairings and cocktails. We did not leave until 10 and we were more than satisfied by the entire experience. My phone was dead or there would have been 50 photos documenting a perfect evening birthday celebration with one of my dearest friends. - thank you

Last year I received a bacon subscription as a gift from my sister. Every month, some amazing artisanal bacon would show up in a Fed Ex container with dry ice. That year I had some of the best bacon of my life. But the House Bacon at Black Belly made all that other bacon taste like it was from Safeway. I’m doing you a favor when I tell you to never ever buy the House Bacon at Black Belly. Because once you’ve had it, there’s no going back. It’s like a drug. 10 years from now there will be people sitting in folding chairs, drinking bad coffee from styrofoam cups, talking about how they lost everything, their jobs, their spouses, their kids, all because they couldn’t hit the brakes on this bacon. “My name is Dave, and I’m addicted to Black Belly...”

Pricey but you also get someone who can tell you how to cook your meat, how to make sure it's done, how to butcher it. It's really the personal touch that gives this place it's special ness. I will definitely be coming again

Went for lunch and was not disappointed. Got a bacon salad - so much excellent bacon was hidden in that arugala! Also tasted a BLT - phenomenal. My only "complaint" is that I think I wanted a BLT hybrid salad, with some tomatoes and maybe croutons on top. What I got was excellent, I just wanted it all apparently. Prices for prepared food we're also less than I expected for the quality. I haven't patronized the butcher aspect of the place yet but we still got questions answered and I plan to do so.

Everything is super delicious. I don't think you can go wrong with any menu item, including the cocktails and beers. The burgers are cooked exactly as ordered and they rotate some of the items on their menu. They recently started doing tasting menus since Valentine's day. The staff are very friendly and approachable. Everything is a bit pricey, but well worth their cost.

11:45 - I call in to place a pickup order. Guy answers: "Hello, this is XXX I'm going to put you on a brief hold." Me: "Ok" **proceed to hold for 5 minutes, then hang up** **I call again** Guy: "Hello, this is XXX I'm going to put you on a brief hold." **hold for a couple more minutes** At this point, I decide to make my way over to their location (still holding), thinking that maybe they'll pick up the phone while I'm on my way and I can place my pickup order over wireless while I drive. **arrive at the store** **stand in line, all the while holding, watching the counter guy serve customers and completely ignore my call** Then someone else calls in, and I watch the counter guy give the same spiel about a "brief hold" and do the same thing to them that he had done to me. At this point, I have been on hold for 15 minutes. 20 minutes if you count my last call. It's my turn to order, and I walk up to the counter and say: "Listen man, I hate to be rude, but I'm on hold with you right now. I've been on hold for 15 minutes as you can see." **show him my phone - 15 minutes on the call time** Guess what the counter guy says to me? "Do you see my line right now bro? Do you see my line right now bro?" Me: "Yeah bro, I see your line." Counter guy: "I don't even know what to say right now bro. What I can get you?" I order and ask for the manager, the guy sticks his thumb over his shoulder and points to the other employee behind him. "This guy right here" Then he waives me off and serves the next client *other caller is still on hold* The only reason I'm giving this experience 2 stars is because the manager on shift was cool and apologized for the situation. Get yourselves a new counter guy, one that doesn't say "I don't know what to say bro" when all he has to do is say "I apologize, that was my bad." I can understand your store being too busy to take pickup orders during the noon hour, but tell me that on the phone instead of lying to me about a "brief hold".

Stopped in for a lunch. Counter service. Short menu but nicely executed. The pastrami special was astounding: fatty, salty, pickly, and utterly delightful. I loved the slaw served on undresses greens—no mayo. My children loved the grilled cheese; the bread is outstanding. Bought some house-made chorizo to bring home but haven’t cooked yet. They’re doing the right things in here; reward them with your business.

This place absolutely has one of the coolest vibes I've felt walking into a butcher shop. Jay hooked it up with a Boston butt, and shared some good tips for how to cook it up in the slow cooker. After browsing the meats, I was absolutely starving so I grabbed the meatball lamb. To top it all off the woman ahead of me paid it forward, and left 9 dollars which they took off my order. Easily made my day coming in, thank you!

Their breakfast burrito is one of the best I’ve had, and be sure to ask for their house Diablo Sauce if you’d like to give it a kick. The tater tots they put in the breakfast burrito add the perfect crunch and starch to compliment the scrambled eggs and Butcher’s choice of meat that day. They offer seating if you’d like to eat in, or have to-go if you are on the run. I will absolutely come back anytime!
