Arapahoe Meat Company is amazing. They are very straight forward with their pricing, so take the time to be knowledgeable about what you are asking for! I have never been over charged or “robbed by these thieves” as some of these idiotic reviews have stated. Do your research and you will see that they offer a great product for a great price. I’ve been using them for well over a decade and they have always treated my right. One thing people need to understand with meat processors, especially Arapahoe Meat Company, is that you get back what you bring. They are not magicians and can’t make your meat perfectly clean if you drop off trashed meat, or make the amount of meat increase for you upon pickup. They cut away the trashed meat and you get back the clean meat you can enjoy. That’s how it has always worked for me, so I always ensure I bring them clean wild game! I would recommend them any day of the week!

I took a 1045 pound after skinning and dressing buffalo with head off to these thieves and received back 340 pounds of bone in meat. They said "you lost an entire shoulder from the bullet wound" trying to explain why my yield was so little when I had head shot the animal. These people are THIEVES. They also dragged my buffalo through blood and feces infected water on the ground while unloading.

I had an extremely disapointing experience with this meat company. I took an antelope in to get jerky made. I was required to pay cash only at the time of pick-up. I did not mind paying cash, but when I received the product, it was not fit for human or dog consumption. The jerky was hard as a brick and I was charged over $250 for garbage disposal of the meat. I contacted this company to let them know how bad their product was and they simply never responded. I would never recommend this meat company to anyone!!!!

These guys have the lowest cost processing we've found on the front range. We raise sheep, and they are 25-30% cheaper than other processors we use. For our cost conscious customers this is a huge plus. The product is handled well and you get a lot of options on how your meat is processed. Downside - no vacuum seal, it's butcher paper. No USDA inspection. But that's what keeps it affordable. We're really fortunate on the Front Range to have so many quality processors, and these guys have good product at the lowest price.

These guys are a fantastic family own and operated local business. They always greet you with a smile and very knowledgeable about any type of product you are looking for including recipes for your particular meat. You MUST try there jerky, it is the best in the world, my whole family mows through it every time I bring some home. I was always under the assumption that all these guys did was process your meat, but NO they have all types of meats ready for purchase. Instead of going to the grocery store and getting some type of wonder meat from who knows where, treated who know how, make your next stop here to pick up your meats for the week. They can tell you all about where and how the meat was processed and raised, confident in an excellent product. Keep rocking it guys!

Do not use this company. My father and I had taken 6 whitetail deer to them that we had killed in Missouri. The deer had been de boned, washed and packaged into scent free garbage bags. We had a total of 12 bags(4 full totes at the locker), when we dropped them off. We asked lisa if we could weigh them at the time of dropping off. She said she was too busy to weigh them in at that time. A week later we received a phone call that our meat was ready to be picked up. I asked lisa how much total we had she said you had a total of 180 lbs. Which means that the 6 whitetail deer we took them weighed in at 30 lbs each. Which is not true. Than she told me my bill was 752 dollars for the meat. We wanted the meat 50/50 ground into burger and summer sausage. Which is 4.17 a pound, on the website it says processing is .99 cents a pound. Figuring we had about 300 lbs I budgeted around 350 to 400 dollars. But to pay 752 dollars on a 100 % disabled veteran income for 180 lbs of meat is not feasible for me and my family. This is the first hunting trip I have been able to take with my father since I joined the Marine Corps and it was all for nothing. I have called many times to try and get this situation resolved with the same outcome. I will not use them this time or ever again and suggest anyone reading these reviews to do the same. - Thanks-

These guys are fantastic. This was my first year hunting and they were super friendly (even answering dumb questions). Their communication was spectacular and their turnaround time was quick. Once I received the product it was all wrapped and neat. I would definitely recommend this processor and will be using them again.

Anyone who has given this place a bad review probably has a history of poor customer experiences due to the fact that they are incessantly annoying to people in the service industry and are completely ignorant about meat. Arapahoe Meat Co is the only place I will have my beef / wild game processed. It is always processed to my specs and very well packaged. I recently purchased a half of the owner's personal grass fed beef and it is absolutely amazing! It is the best beef I have ever had. Support local business and get all your meat here!

Meat has GMO's, they get the meat from a Nebraska farm that feeds them GMO corn and grains. It is also very overpriced, I can get grass fed beef in the same cut much cheaper from Sprouts. They also advertise they are open until 5, but they were closing down before 1pm and wouldn't cut anything up because they said they just cleaned all the machines. (This was not just a lunch break.)

I've had an entire elk processed here and the product is great quality. The pricing is fair and the packaging and labeling is excellent. I will most likely come back to have my deer and one other elk processed. The only reason I am giving a four star is because one of the employees that took my order was not very pleasant or helpful at all. I asked for recommendations for how to process my elk (keep in mind this is my first elk being processed) and she couldn't give me any. Other than that, I would recommend Arapahoe Meat Company for wild game processing.

Extremely pricey. Drove the 24 miles to pock up our meat. Rude customer service, and cash only. When i advised them i would not be using them due to price and inconvenience, clerk became rude and displeasured! Stated we work hard on our meats so i hope youre atleast happy with the quality and walked away

Great prices. Friendly and family owned. They have a nice 'menu' of options for all kinds of meat. Clean facility. Meat is well tended to and double wrapped with printed labels. And they are usually really fast with turn times! Highly recommend giving them a try. We did once and have been going back ever since!

I'm really happy we went with Arapahoe Meat Company this year. We brought them a deer and the meat is awesome. The woman at the front desk was super helpful, and suggested green chile German sausage. It is literally the best thing ever! My husband dropped it off & I picked it up. Both times they were polite, the storefront was clean & bright, and they were on time and super organized. We are always scared to try new processors since we've had several bad experiences in Fort Collins and LaSalle. We will 100% be using only Arapahoe Meat Co. for future years. Everything is wrapped perfectly, and everything we've eaten is cut beautifully. They were also easy to save a spot with, I was able to text at work when I got the call he shot a deer.

Excellent wild game processing (CASH ONLY for wild game). They did a fantastic job with my elk: steaks, roasts, burger, summer sausage, and my personal favorite is the country sausage. Definitely going to remember this spot for my next big haul.

I accidentally brought pigs here on a day other then when they were scheduled and the butcher ended up taking them anyway. I have to say if it was the same scenario back in my home town that is not the way that would have gone. They did a great job cutting and packing and the online fill out form is awesome!

I have been bring cows pigs and wildgame here since I was a kid about 23 years. I always call ahead before I go big game hunting to let them know what license I have and will contact them if I getting any thing. I got 2 elk this past year called a head and was told they had room. Stopped by to drop it off and was told they were full and could not take it. I told them I called ahead and they said that did not matter. I asked to talk to the owner and was told he did not have time. I understand it's a busy time of year but this is no way to treat a customer. Service has go down hill since lisa does not work there any more. I will not be bring anything to them again. If that's the way they treat long time customers. I would hate to see how the treat a first time customer.
