This place is excellent! We've had steaks and sausages from here and they have been fantastic. It is also a really good place to understand where meat comes from. I bring my kids here and they are always fascinated. Great addition to the neighborhood. We're lucky to have a butcher shop of this quality.

This is the first butcher shop I’ve ever ventured into. What a find! Had an amazing dinner thanks to the grass fed filet I picked up. Best filet I have ever had and for only $15 I’d say that’s a bargain. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to try the broth I bought and the bacon burger patties. I’m hooked.

Very expert and super friendly folks work here. The meat has always been excellent, and I always get great advice about cooking it. Eric gave me an impromptu lesson about how to find high quality knives and demonstrated proper use and honing. The South African sausage is very delicious. I could not recommend this shop more highly!

This is the only place I buy beef, pork and lamb now. Try their "dirty bacon", bacon crusted with delicious dry rub. Unbelievable! The meats are antibiotic and hormone free as well as grass raised and grass finished. Parking in back.

V. Miller Meats has changed my life. They are hands down the best butcher. They have friendly service with expert opinions and excellent recommendations. Parking can be tight, often have to find parking on a side street. We like to get their sausages, steaks and pork chops. On Sundays they have breakfast sandwiches and they are incredible. Some like to say the price is high, but frankly you get what you pay for and in my opinion it is well worth the cost and then some.

Amazing craft Butchery! Best cuts of local, pasture-raised meat. They also have a freezer case full of goodies like cookie dough, pot pies, and more. The weekend breakfast sandwich is so incredibly delicious!

Nothing i can say that hasn't been posted already. Got some sausages- can't wait to grill 'em up! We also shared a cooked sausage "sammie" on Sunday (10-12). Wow. Worth the extra few bucks for all in house prepared meat products.

Tried a bunch of new sausages this week, they were fun. The chile verde was my favorite, followed by the lamb. Peach was a little weird. It's nice to know my meat isn't coming from Australia or across the country unnecessarily. Staff is friendly. They need more bike racks out front though. Oh, and there's a punch card now! Could be dangerous.

The hours of availability are great! If they can do it for you, they will, you just might have to call ahead. Sometimes they run out of stuff, particularly lamb, but it definitely makes me happy knowing that everything is fresh and top quality. In addition, everything is from northern California! I can't say enough good things about this place. Try the sausages!

One of the finest meat purveyors in all of Sacramento. They have humanely raised, grass fed and pastured lamb, beef, pork and chicken. Loads of different cuts and styles, some of which you certainly have never heard of before. It's a hoot to try new things and no part of the animal is wasted here. Atmosphere is clean and inviting (if you are squeamish, I would stay outside cause' they butcher animals here), staff are friendly and knowledgeable and everything here that I've tried tastes great and helps support local farmers. This is one of the best places I have been to and well worth the drive. When I walked in it looked like a very small place but considering the size of the building they have a huge variety. As a culinary student and a self proclaimed food snob this will be my new place to buy meat and all of the other goodies that they sell. Staff was amazingly friendly and very helpful. I will be recommending to everyone.

This place is amazing! The quality of their beef is top notch. You can tell they don't just know how to cut meat, but they know how to cook it as well. Juanita left the perfect amount of fat, on what's normally a very lean cut, when I told her I needed just a little extra because I was smoking and didn't want it to dry out. This might not seem like a big deal, but Tri-Tip isn't normally smoked. It's generally grilled over direct flame for a short amount of time, not cooked for 2 hours. This level of knowledge goes to show that they truly are passionate about and love what they do .

My first time being in a legit butcher shop. These guys use every part of the animal, from pig-skin dog treats to candles made from tallow (fat). I was looking for more Italian style meat deli but this place didn't have that kind of selection. They made up for it with their Dirty Bacon, which is bacon with an espresso rub. They also got every kind of bratwurst under the sun.

Friendly, knowledgeable guys. Local meat. Whole animal butchery, so they have all the cuts you might be looking for...if you are into that. I love the bone broth they make. Truly the best I've tried. Best sausage you'll find anywhere. Guaranteed. They always have unexpected finds in their fridge, too. Bacon pies, posole, potato salad. And, their weekend breakfast sandwiches are bomb! A true treasure.

I read that Miller Meats served a prepared meal on Thursdays. I tried it today (6/30/16) and it was excellent. This weeks meal was a steak salad. It came with various lettuce, small potatoes, a dressing and roast beef. All was cooked perfectly and the dressing only added to the whole meal. My congratualtions. I will be back. A caution; call and reserve your meal as all but those meals reserved had been sold at about 4:45 when I picked up my meal.
