Words can't describe my first bite of the beef tenderloin roast I bought from The Ventura Meat Company! I ordered a tenderloin roast for Christmas dinner from Sharon at Ventura Meat Company. Having never cooked one before, I watched a few videos on You-Tube on how to best roast it - high or low temperature - how long it should take for a 4-1/2 pound roast. The answers were conflicting, to say the least. We ended up using the convection oven for a more even cooking of the meat, and from my convection cookbook's estimated time, we expected it to take about two hours. After one hour the internal temperature was 136 degrees (and we had wanted to take it out of the oven at 130 degrees and let it rise to 140 degrees covered). We immediately took it out of the oven and covered it with foil. When our family arrived a half-hour later, we said we're going to eat first, and have Christmas afterwards. I have to tell you that filet of tenderloin was the most delicious piece of beef I have ever eaten in all my 87 years! You could cut it with a fork. It literally melted in my mouth. Thank you Sharon, for your helpful recommendations, tying the roast up for me (as well as removing excess fat, etc.). I highly recommend the premium grass-fed beef and the excellent service. You can be assured, I will be back!

Just like an old time butcher shop. So far I have had the Pork and Chicken and all have been better than I could have ever gotten from the grocery store. The service is great and they use an iPad as a checkout which I love! This is going to be a place I visit at least once a week.

High quality meat, grass fed, sourced responsibly and locally when possible. Amazing friendly customer service. You can buy any kind of meat you want here, if they don't have it in stock they will order it for you, very good prices. They also have a rewards program, 10 or 15% off every 9-10 orders, and also have periodic sales usually before holidays like 4th of July or Memorial day, make sure you get on their mailing list to get the discount codes.

Beef is gras fed, so expect prices to be higher than at a grocery store. We got fabulous Chuck roast and asian short ribs. Both meats were a pleasure to cook and to eat. The quality was very high. Staff seem to take pride in selling their product. Based in one visit, I highly recommend this place.
