Switching from bland probably dyed where did it come from grossery meat to locally sourced specially butchered butcher meat will change your life. I been buying locally sourced meat for years now and Belcampo holds a special place in my heart. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful and the selection and quality of meat is unparalleled. I can't recommend their butcher shop enough. Seriously go and you will definitely not regret it. They also have a killer steak house restaurant in the back with alchohalic soda that will blow your mind.

Meat is good and they run some really good deals at times. Overall the prices are fairly in line with other area grocery stores most wise. Love the cowboy marinade and the cuts off meat are good. Think the prices for other groceries there though are a little high. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful, bit only 4 stars as it always seems the staff at checkout are surely and not too thrilled to be there. The most recent time might wife said hi, thank you, we etc. to the clerk and be acted like he couldn't be bothered... very rude..

The Dine LA menu is very disappointing! If you had never eaten here before (we had) I doubt you would come back! The Steak Frites was terrible! Tough and gristle-y steak. Good flavor but aweful texture. We commented to all staff but it made no difference. Desserts were no good. We will be back, but they have to be careful with the food they put out!!

We went in and the customer service is fantastic. It's a great friendly no pressure atmosphere. You can tell they butcher on site. The employees love their product. Even the other customers are cheery. Great prices for excellent meats. Scott gave us the run down on lots of products and he was a star example of customer service. We'll be buying all our meats here from now on. They had samples of steak out and definitely the most tender steak I've ever had.

Never again.... I was really excited about McKinnon's offerings for our meeting. I usually order from a place that delivers but I was impressed with the options from McKinnon's. Unfortunately my first experience with them wasn't the best.... I was supposed to pick up my large salad and large sandwich platters at 11:00a I arrived at 11:05 but I waited until 11:45 before getting the order, so it was late getting to the meeting - everyone was sitting and waiting for the food! Also, the containers were flimsy - the overs would not stay on and the bottoms were week, it was very difficult to transport them without dumping the goods all over the ground. I recommend keeping track of orders better and getting sturdy containers for carry out.

Bought Baby Back Ribs for a catered party, they should hang their heads in shame for selling those cuts. The fat and lack of even a rib was unbelievable. Even super fatty St Louis cut made these look meaty. Pure ripoff. First time shopper there and never again.

The store is always clean and well organized with clothing separated by color and type and each tagged with a color coded system. They hang the clothes in such a way to make sizes easy to see without having to take them off the hanger and each day they have a sale with one or two of the tag colors at half price or 99 cents. They go through the clothing carefully so you won't find any that are missing buttons, stained badly or otherwise undesirable and the prices are outrageously low. As a nonprofit they don't have a large staff but I've never found that to be inconvenient. The only negative for me is the one fitting room, which is small and not really all that nice. But, for a two dollar pair of Rock Star or Mossimo jeans, I can do without trying them on... If they don't fit I pass them along to friends and family. I love this thrift store and highly recommend it.

I was extremely dissatisfied with the hamburger I ordered at belcampo. The meat was tasteless and the fries were greasy. In order ti even taste the meat, I had to a considerable amount of salt. There was not char on the meat, and really bacd. I also ordered the sweet chili wings which although tasty as for the covered sauce, the wings had very little meat. For the price you pay for this burger, definitely a thumbs down

The staff has done a marvellous job maintaining the shop. The prices weren't bad at all. The meat was definitely cheaper than the grocery store I frequent, and they offer a wider variety of meat. The ribs looked really nice and fresh when I was there. Definitely recommended for grocery shoppers and those who love meat, or those planning to host a bbq/outdoor party.

I love McKinnon’s. They have great meats and prepared foods. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. I did find one time that the chicken was rubbery after cooking it. I always get the same chicken and cook it the same way. Not sure why it was rubbery that time but overall it’s still good. Also love that they carry blueberry milk.

Be prepared to pay, because this place is pricey. That said, quality isn't cheap. You get locally raised meats, freshly butchered and package for you. They have smoker and grilling seasonings and sauces, troeger smokers, and pellets, and even something for the doggos. Haass' knows what they are doing.

When McKinnon's first came into the area, we were very impressed with their quality of produce and meats. Recently, we have had several bad experiences with both produce and meat. Tonight, we brought home meat that was spoiled. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially since the expiration date was not even close to today's date. Shame on you, McKinnon's. I am sorry to say, we will have to shop elsewhere for our food. This is a huge disappointment.

Be prepared to pay, because this place is pricey. That said, quality isn't cheap. You get locally raised meats, freshly butchered and package for you. Ahmaahzing. Nicholas MADE our experience. The prefixed menu was a good choice, it wasn’t toooo much food. I had the kale salad, chicken and bread pudding. I tried all the desserts :) . I drank a ginger pomegranate non-alcoholic elixir that I can recommend. Evidently (love using the word evidently) they have tons of juices: cherry, pineapple, ginger, lemon, and lime. The lamb burger was a crowd pleaser. I enjoyed the pea purée with the chicken and the carrots were spectacular. The NY strip (I think that was the cut) is probably the thing to get if you want some red meat. The mashed potatoes were perfect.

This is a very unique setup. Apparently they raise animals organically and then process and serve the food here. The key burger is the best I've ever had. The French fries are unbelievable and cooked in rice bran oil. The beef jerky is apparently a hit or miss. Two were bought, but one we moldy, and not dated. I propose a time control be placed on this product.

UPDATE: I contacted restaurant about this and they were very apologetic. Hope this doesn’t happen again because it’s very scary! I ordered a burger from them via Uber Eats and chewed on a piece of broken glass! Was half way through my burger when I felt something hard in my mouth. I thought it might have been a bone fragment but after I spit it out, it was a big piece of broken glass! This is very dangerous. I hope I didn’t eat smaller broke glass fragments already!

I drive 45 miles just to buy my meat at the Lil Butcher SHoppe. The meat is excellent quality. They have a good selection of meats and frozen vegetables and pre-made dishes, but a very limited selection of fresh produce. The workers couldn't get friendlier or more helpful. No bad smells like in most butcher shoppes. I highly recommend this business.

Belcampo is the hero we need and deserve. I hate the lack of transparency about where food comes from and what’s in it. Not here! Belcampo has become the new standard I judge all of my meat and poultry against- It’s the way meat is intended to look and taste. And the people are really nice and informed. Also the frozen foods in the pint containers are clutch! is the best thing to keep in your freezer. Mt favorites are the green chicken curry and the Moroccan lamb stew.

When you bring an animal to them from your farm for slaughtering, they will short you on the meat you get back. They pre-packed the meat into "quarters" of the animal, and it ended up being half of what it should have been once we got it home and weighed it. Have a discussion up front about how much you should be getting back, what happens if you don't (like not being charged for butchering a whole animal if they are going to keep so much of your meat, and bring your scale when you pick up.

It took an hour for our food. Wife waited 15 minutes for a refill. There was only 3 tables to serve so I don't know what took so long. The steak and the eggs ordered were both overdone. The appetizer came with the dinner not before. The kids had to wait for their food after they served ours. The fries were old. I had to ask for the check twice. Do not recommend at all! 100 dollars not well spent..

I absolutely love McKinnon's! The quality and selection of foods here is the best around. Whether you're shopping for meats, seafood, produce, sides, or just doing some light grocery shopping this is the place to go! I also love their salad bar. I go a few times a week for lunch and it's always delicious. I don't interact with the staff much but the few times I have they have been very friendly and helpful. Check them out!!

I seriously hesitate to write this review because this spot will soon become a tough table to get. This establishment serves one of the very, very best burgers I’ve ever tasted, and that’s saying something. The large room manages to be both comfortable and unpretentious with a great bar and some of the best restaurant lighting. Or maybe it’s because of the great lighting from the very well stocked bar. In any case, when I allow myself to indulge a craving for a burger (and really good fries), we head over to Belcampo. Service is consistently solid and friendly. But please don’t tell anyone.... UPDATE: They changed the menu - not for the better. The burger was on the pricy side, but fair considering the quality of the meat. Now the fries are an added cost. Really!!?? I hate being nickled and dimed.

So completely disgusted! I ordered 2 of the Christmas Dinners, $142- worth of food! Was expected to nuke it and put on table for my guests. Got home to find everything's frozen solid n needs to be cooked, except the Turkey! Anywhere else I've done catering my food has been cooked not frozen! Christmas is ruined, guests went home with no food. When i reserved the meal it would had been nice to be informed this was a raw dinner so I could had took my business elsewhere. Never again will I do business here again!

I recently bought a $400/50 lb freezer combo only to find 6 months later that 6.5 lbs worth of steaks and roasts weren't vacuum sealed properly. Very disappointed as I truly like the shop and their product.

No free restaurant parking. You cannot park your own car in the empty parking lot in back. You must Valet your car in front on Wilshire Blvd. If you park in back and go into the restaurant to pay 60 plus dollars per person to eat small portions they will tow your car away. Among other items, I ordered the $27 squash ravioli and got 5 or 6 tiny squares, no side dish. Very loud clapping, drunk people at the bar when we were there, yes clapping every few minutes like an AA meeting but at a bar. Bottles stacked to the roof, earthquake ready. My wife however loved her Burger and salad. If they allowed customers to park that would be a good start.
