Amazing selection of meat! Excellent daily specials! Their stuffed bacon wrapped chicken breasts are amazing, and all of their 25 flavors of brats are stellar! I recommend trying several different flavors and see which ones you like! Bought 65 pounds of brats last year (pictured), and 80 pounds of brats / chicken / bacon this year.

I don’t leave 5 star reviews because out of principle it represents a perfect score with no flaws and there is always opportunity to do better; however, I purchased two filets and a ribeye and both had 100% perfect yields with no waste and to top it off they were easily the absolute best steaks I’ve had in Phoenix, period. The saying you get what you pay for is true here so pay up and enjoy one of the absolute best meals. You are in for a great treat with this place. I look forward to going back and trying new things! I also must compliment you on the cleanliness of their shop, it’s easy to let the little things go but the details here are solid. Congratulations on earning my second ever five star review.

No other place I will go for meat. Selection is amazing, Pork, beef, chicken, fish... you name it, the Meat Market serves it! We love their bacon, headcheese, ring Bologna, flavored chicken breasts and steaks just to name a few. They are willing to rub down your meat with seasoning if you so wish (& you should definitely let them do this!). The staff are friendly & personable! And they even have some amazing treats for the furry friends at home. YOU MUST CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!

Everyone here is very helpful and friendly. They make great recommendations and have your best interests in mind. All the meat is raised locally and they butcher fresh meat very regularly. Their selection is also pretty expansive, with pretty much all domestic meat products, as well as a few less conventional choices. I don't like buying any sorts of meat anywhere else, especially when this place is as local as it gets.

I always say when it comes to high quality meat, you get what you pay for. I've had their steaks and most recently purchased my prime rib for Christmas from here. It was incredible melt in your mouth and everyone raved at this being their best prime rib they have ever tasted. Compliments goes to the chef (me) as well. This IS the place to purchase your meats and want the world to know how great this place is. Try and you will not be disappointed. I'm now a life long supporter for this great local business.

The absolute best place for steaks anywhere in the north valley. They also do custom cuts and butcher to order. I only buy my steaks from them now. The marbling is generally incredible and the fat will just melt in your mouth. Everyone should try their bone in ribeyes at least once.

A real butcher shop! Stopped by today for the first time and picked up some beer brats, hot dogs and bone in rib eye steaks. We cooked the dogs and brats for dinners. The kids ate the hotdogs super fast. The brats were amazing! Usually we marinate the brats before we cook. These went straight on the grill and the flavors were great! Everyone raved about how good they were. I am very excited for the steaks tomorrow. Anyone looking for good quality meat skip the low quality grocery store and make the stop. They have a great selection. Plus they have a camera directly over their cutting board, so you can watch as they hand cut all your meat. Can’t wait to go back for more!!

I stoped by this place to get some organs for my homemade dog food. It is clean, new and beautiful inside and the owners were extremely helpful and informative. I feel like I got a fair price and can’t wait to try out my new recipe :-)

For the first time after I left my country Poland I really enjoyed beef liver. 30 years ago in Poland we only had real meat from animals from small farms and I was missing that taste of a healthy meat. I tried AJs and Whole Foods to only give up trying. I felt the taste was always off until now. Thank you meat market for doing things right. No wonder why my American friends hate to eat liver. If I was growing up here and had to eat what’s offered is supermarkets I would do the same. I highly recommend this little shop.

Both of my experiences have been really awful here. The first time the almost crushed my very small and extremely valuable suckling pigs out of pure airheadness- opening the door the the kill room allowing two huge pigs to ram there way into my smaller cage and nearly crushing my (extremely valuable) pigs to death. They then screamed prodded and kicked the larger hogs out (not without a struggle with 3 grown men) They ruined my crate, never apologized, didn't give me any discount on the pigs and tried to make excuses and defend there errors. I did not want to return but my new regular processor didn't have a date for me when I need a couple of pigs processed. So...the second time they told me the right date but wrong day. Even though they knew it was me they ( the guys who's pigs they almost crushed) they denied allowing me to be 10 minutes late AFTER telling me the wrong day. Once again instead of compromising or apologizing the woman, Michelle, TOLD me what the gentleman I talked to said to me, which was wrong. She then said " you brought your pigs in last time on a tuesday didn't you?" as if I was supposed to remember there kill schedule from 4 months earlier, and the only time I went. In addition to my personal experiences, the fact that they don't have separate stalls for animals, meaning your pigs, for example, are grouped with other unknown pigs, stressing them and allowing them to fight with each other, is a big factor. Finally seeing how they handled a pig in the wrong place (on top of mine in a small crate) by shocking, kicking and screaming is a definite deal breaker. Not only will I never bring my livestock there again I will go out of my way to encourage others to choose a different processor than the meat market in Baraboo. Extremely
