I live out of state but have a friend that lives up there and took me on a moose hunt. I took to Indian Valley and had pepperoni jalapeno cheese dogs and moose bacon made along with steaks i ask them to put a rush on it so that I could bring it back with me they were more than happy to help me and get everything done on time everything is excellent highly recommend them wish they had a branch in Oregon...

The lady I dealt with was very pleasant. I was visiting from Florida and sent my family some King Salmon (Honey Pepper and Creole) back. My mom said there were some really AWESOME pieces and one of them had the tail tucked under and was really thin/hard to eat. Another one was over smoked, but i gueas it depends on how much you like it smoked. She said it WASN'T worth the shipping and we could get salmon at those prices at the local butcher. I gave 2 star because I wouldn't go back and ship salmon to anyone of my friends from Florida. The jerky wasn't bad and cool vibes in store!

Being an avid fisherman, and often times having to take care of not just my own, but my mothers catch as well, I run out of time. When you are looking for quality at a good value for processing your catch, price per pound is one of the KEY factors, followed by operating hours. Indian Valley Meats, just a few short minutes drive down the scenic highway, you can drop off your catch and within a few days (usually 3) you can have your fish processed, vacuum sealed and frozen and ready to ship out. Their price per pound is, well under par. (In a good way) They are usually about 6 - 10 cents cheaper than others per pound processed. THAT in and of itself makes a wURLd of difference, especially when you are dropping off 4 coolers full of red salmon.

DO NOT GO HERE. I heard from multiple sources (people that use to work here) that when processing your meat, they just throw a bunch of other peoples meat in the grinder etc. So your final product could include your moose, somebody else’s moose, AND somebody else’s moose (for example). This isn’t normal, it’s kind of gross, and is the lazy way to do things. Don’t give them your money.

I wouldn't trust them. Your fresh fish is mixed with everyone else's fish. They make it appear that they care about your fish by putting them in separate totes, until it comes time to process them. I kept my fish on ice from the time they were caught, fully drained of water and slime and fresh. Fresh until Indian Valley Meats received them. The fish they canned tasted sour and the color was not the same species. I am sure someone was really happy with my fresh fish.

I turned my fish in here and they cut it into two pound packages but they didn't even clean the fillets I had eggs from one of the hens in my meat pack and grass and dirt on some as well did not look like they cared at all I would not take your meat here the drive to somewhere else is way worth it I'll never turn meat into this place again.

We were so impressed with the service at Indian Valley Meats. After a very successful fishing trip, we had about 250 lbs of halibut and salmon on our hands, and several days before our scheduled flight home. What to do, what to do??? Indian Valley has after-hours drop-off, which made it super-convenient since we got in off the water so late. We picked our fish up a few days later, vacuum-packed, frozen, boxed up, and ready to fly! The team there was so knowledgeable and helpful. We really appreciated everything they did. Highly recommend!

The cheapest fish processing you will find in the area. They do an awesome job. Usually I process my own fish, but sometimes it is just easier to drop off a cooler full and let them vac pack and flash freeze it for you. They even take the time to remove rib bones from salmon if you leave em. Always fast (couple day turnaround) and fresh. You DO get your own catch back, which is very important. If you are fishing down south and end up with just a couple salmon, it is well worth it to swing by on your way home and let them deal with your catch after a long day of fishing. You can even drop off after hours when they are closed. Last year, my parents visiting from Colorado had Indian Valley process a ton of halibut they caught. For some reason, the package ended up getting sent to Oregan. By the time shipping was corrected, it arrived 2 days later barely cool. The fish seemed ok, but not ideal since it was just getting frozen again. Indian Valley sent them an entire new package of halibut at their own expense and made it right. I am definitely a customer for life! Now to try some of their sausage and smoked meats everyone raves about.

If you're looking for a snack or a meal then you need to stop by Indian Valley Meats. Hands down the best jerky and meat sticks you can buy in Alaska. It's an Alaskan tradition to stop by Indian Valley Meats before going camping and fishing. Enjoy your trip!
