Always a family favorite. Fresh salad and wonderful filets. Traditionally went there for Friday fish fries. The children received a free lane of bowling, so 4 out of 5 bowled a line.

Bad service and very rude staff. Simply asked for a Bloody Mary and was told it’s not the time of day for one. Well, it was 7pm. It was my nieces birthday and wanted to have a good dinner and drinks with a family of ten. There loss, will never recommend this place to anyone. Also was asked to leave because I wanted to talk to owner. Bartender stated if u go over my head I’ll ask u to leave.

I like the old style of the bowling alley and that it is not that crowded for I think 6 lanes, and the pool table is not crowded either and I got an extra quarter from the change machine what I also like was that there was a jukebox that I could play all my favorite songs, the lady at the bar was nice and the guy at the bar turned my music up so overall good place

Love this place, great food and great atmosphere both in the dining room and in the bar/bowl area. Have a drink while waiting for your table. Busy on weekends in summer and fall. Get there before sunset and sit near a window for awesome views.

Disappointed this evening! Pleased in the past! Really long wait even though we came later in the evening. They were out of the broasted chicken which is what I came for. It seemed odd that they would be out on a Friday when everyone is ordering fish!

It's your piece of Americana. Spent some good times with my family, reminiscing about how our parents used to bowl here when they were kids and how it hasn't changed at all. Love it.

Friday fish fry was a bit disappointing. The whitefish was better than the walleye but both were fairly bland. And we even got there early to avoid the rush so it wasn’t like they should have rushed our meal. Fries were ok. The food was not worth the price. Bowling was fun. Felt like I was in a bowling alley from the 50s/60s (and I was..). The food was 2.5 but the bowling 3.5.

Great bowling experience, average dining experience. We came early evening for a couple rounds of bowling, which was a great deal of fun. Manual scorecards, completely wooden ball return, gutters, wall panels, everything made for a unique bowling experience. The food was very greasy, quite tasty, but the service was a bit lacking. We never had our waters refilled until the very end and often felt we didn't see our waitress for some time. All in all, really enjoyed visiting here while staying in Sister Bay.

Had a really nice hop here to bowl with the kids. The bowling is very old-school: no flashing lights, 6 lanes, paper scoring sheets. They also had ramps for kids to use for bowling. All the folks working the bar were very friendly and working hard. It was a super-pleasant way to get in a bit of low-tech fun.

This is everything that a Friday fish fry should be. The atmosphere, the bar, the patrons, and the food. I haven't had a fish fry this good since 1970, st joes church basement, sturgeon bay. Definately order the perch. Best Friday Fish Fry in the world, don't forget the brandy old fashion. If you don't like it, then you aren't from around here.

Great place to spend a few hours! Between the food, beer, and the old-school bowling, you can’t go wrong! I didn’t know how to hand score bowling prior to coming here - it was a good thing to learn and the bar staff was kind and patient. Super cool to see the original menus and old photos on the walls.

We had searched for a 'fish fry' and learned that this was the place to go! Arriving early (4:00pm) we were told that a 30 minute wait would be ahead of us...but we decided on a couple (2) Spotted Cow tappers - - at $12.00!! WOW At 4:30pm...we promptly joined the group of hungry locals and tourists...and were told to find your own table...that's quaint....but worked out fine as we got a nice window table. I had the fried cod and my wife ordered fried walleye....and WOW....that was absolutely the best fish fry we've had in many years! We'll definitely make this an annual tradition!

Try the ribs. They were the best thing about the meals that we had. My fish was fairly good, but covered in paprika. The service was attentive. The soup of the day was nothing special, nor was the bread. I feel like the entire meal could have been just a bit better, but it was "good enough."

This place is absolutely wonderful. We stopped in for lunch and ended up staying to bowl for 3 hours!!! Old school bowling alley with all the original stuff. I could've kept bowling here for hours!! The bar is right there, the bathrooms too. You get your own score sheet as they don't have computers that do it for you!! It's just what bowling is supposed to be!! 10 stars from me!!!!

My family of 3 walked around Sister Bay for a half hour in search of a place to eat. We were told in 4 other restaurants that our wait time would be at LEAST 40 minutes. Granted it was Labor Day weekend, it was late enough on a Sunday that we thought we wouldn’t have an issue. We happened to walk a little further up the hill on the main road and were pleasantly surprised to find this cozy gem. We were seated right away, received great service, and ate good food, all for a reasonable price. Oh, and not to mention the view out the window of the restaurant!

We went there around 7pm. Half and hour into bowling, there was a group of kids that came in without any noticeable adult supervision. They were running all over the place and behind on us when we were trying to bowl, could have easily knocked one of them in the head with a ball if we weren't careful. We left shortly after they came. I don't know why kids were allowed in there without parents watching them.

Although my prime rib was very good, my husband's was tough. The salads were very good, with house-made Thousand Island dressing. I had to ask for a refill on coffee, and was only given ONE refill! I also had to ask for more cream (only given 2 prepackaged creamers), and we were not offered any dessert--not even a mention of one. We felt as though the waitress wanted us out, even though it was a slow early evening, and they were still open for 3 hours. When we pay $50 for a meal, we expect to be treated better, allowed to linger over coffee, and at least be offered dessert. We will not return. Their loss!
