We've got all the reviews of people who consumed the products and services of River City Roll (Bowling Alley) in Virginia.
At this moment the firm has a score of 4.5 over 5 and this score has been based on 388 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is almost the highest, and it's based on a very high number of scores, so we can say that the assessment is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to set scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Bowling Alley corresponds to the category of Bowling alley.
Lanes are dark, narrow approach and short approach. Definitely not what a bowler would appreciate. Their score keeping screen would flash up things like Gutter in big letters and other less than positive encouragements for the bowlers. The bar was huge, as was their outside area. It appears that the lanes are an after thought and it's more of a hangout than a bowling alley. Would never go there again to bowl.
Amazing place. Great bowling alley. Amazing prices. Beautiful place for family fun. I love it
Very cool... a great place to hang with friends for my wife's birthday
Nice outside concert.
This is a fun, upscale bowling alley. Perfect if you’re looking for a laid back evening with friends!
They need to add some traditional foods that individual eat. I truly didn't see anything I liked. There should be a variety of wings.
Fun place
So fun! Bit expensive but worth it
Great fun adult atmosphere! Fridays and Saturdays are perfect for a good time!
Its OK food is nasty and a staff member was very nasty I might go back might not
Fun has corn hole too they just need a pool table
Nice atmosphere and good food but I rated it low due to the following: 1. People ar the allowed to smoke outside the front door. Every time the door was opened, the smoke would come directly INSIDE the waiting area. That was a huge turn off for me as a non-smoker! 2. Staff don't really greet you and many of the waitresses looked like they didn't want to be there (they could have just been tired, I don't know). 3. The bowling floor is NOT a real bowling floor and you WILL SLIDE so be careful! 4. The bowling shoes have NO grip and the bottoms are very dirty. 3 & 4 are a safety hazard especially when other people complain about how slippery they are. So if you want to really bowl you may want to go to a real bowling alley even if it's just to have fun.
It's alright with a group of friends. DC prices in Scott's Addition, not surprising. Super expensive and good bowling. Might go again on a weekday.
Went with friends and had a great time. The food was really good and the service was helpful and attentive. Note: If you have a large group of people get 2 lanes or more it can get a little tight.
Best pizza I've had! Quick service! Didnt get to bowl this time but staff was great!
Best bowling in RVA
Fabulous! Very welcoming. Dog and children friendly. Bowling, good food, regular live entertainment. A one stop fun evening. Highly recommend a visit
Not a happy patron , when we asked to go on the other side because it was not crowded they state "because we had a 15 month with us, that we could not. Mind you alcohol is served all over and she does not bowl. But shorty after that they let kids over there. I know they sell alcohol but you can drink on both sides. I was disappointed that the young lady at the desk on 7/14/19 told us we had to stay over there. I was.with a group of 5 adults . The table are too close , u have to turn your legs for the person to walk through. Two people have to side on a stool or a sofa 4/ft away.Poor concept. Waiters are nice be pushybut the timer starts 5mins after you sit down. This place has a poor concept of customer satisfaction and POOR DESIGN concept. Not user friendly. Good somewhere where the appreciate you.If you have a dye and it just 2people that's ok.
Nice place! A little pricey but a good experience.
Took my kids for a fun Sunday afternoon of bowling and snacks. The salt & vinegar chips + dill dip was great and the chicken nuggets were pretty standard, but yummy. Kids really loved the atmosphere and comfy couch, but the star of the outing was our server! She was super helpful with my son's food allergies and tweaking the game settings to make things fun for those less skilled at knocking down all 10 pins. The other servers were also really nice and cheered on my kids when they bowled a strike/spare (bumpers FTW!). Had an overall great time and will be back! :)
Great atmosphere and they have a variety of vegan options which I appreciated. Thanks for a great time!
Great way to enjoy good food, drinks and bowling at the same time.
Food is great and so is the atmosphere a must see in the Richmond area. Needs bigger beer selection tho but I can't knock off any stars for that still an amazing place 5 stars all day.
Nice atmosphere good fun and food
Extremely cool place! The service is amazing and the staff is attentive, which is a plus!!!
Great place. Kinda pricey
The food was good and the atmosphere was upbeat and fun.
This place exceeded my expectations. I was looking to find a place to bowl late at night. This place rents lanes by the hour and you have people that will serve drinks and food to you while at your lane. I also love the bar and live music so you can just hangout for a little while when you are not bowling.
The drinks are good, the food is great and the service is friendly. However, if you plan on bowling on a Friday night you had better get there early or be prepared for a loooong wait... our wait was 90 minutes for a lane.
Awesome Bowling alley! Nice staff and good food
Was awesome! Had a blast.
Very nice place. Only went there for a drink and left. I was surprised that a place that nice was so empty on a Saturday night. I will definitely return to actually bowl.
Food was delicious but on the expensive side. Service was okay. Clean and good atmosphere! Like the well lit parking lot.
Great place to just have drinks, bowl, and have some pretty good food. The vibe is great and the staff is friendly, definitely recommend the place. Only thing would be that some of the items are a little overpriced so special occasions or now and then are definitely in check. Also, I don't know if it's in the website or something but no kids are allowed at all, which I saw a family getting turned away which sucks
Lovely food and even better staff!
Amazing place. A jewel in the middle of nowhere. Takes bowling to the next level. Luxurious seating, gourmet food and bar. Some of the staffers could use a little bit of smile on their face but the overall service was great. Open for families till 7 as well. Would definitely visit.
Bean dip and all the assorted Pizza's rock. Service is 5 star
So I decided to try something new and treat my employees to a night of bowling something that I have not done since I was a child. The inside and the whole setup of the place is wonderful. What was not wonderful and actually made me very offended was that the bartender Anthony made me pay for my drinks as soon as I receive them. It was two tone of voice that he used and also not welcoming at all. To make a long story short I was so turned off by the customer service from this employee I decided not to spend any of my hard-earned money at this establishment and went right down the street where I was treated with great welcoming service.
Great food, beer, and bowling experience!
Great food but poor management..The manager and bar tender Katy...should not be managing anything period..her attitude is sub par and that’s being kind and her attention to the customer is absolutely unacceptable. After not completing to take my order which took over forty min to get wings and fries we finally found a waiter (who was awesome btw) to get the rest of my order...my food arrived 20 min before my wife’s came out and being a gentleman and wanting to wait on my wife’s order to arrive (which I ordered through Katy at the bar) my food got cold...when I asked to have the meal fries and wings comped Katy’s reply was there was no record of the order and no refund was issued after she messed it up. Do all of your patrons a service and fire her and if her attitude is that poor...why is she in the service industry to begin with?? Disappointed to say the least. Boooooooo Katy booooooo
Went there with coworkers. Love it, great fun and entertainment..
Great place for bowling and a bite to eat.
If you're not a serious bowler, it's a decent place. If you're a serious bowler, you'll find several things to complain about. The approach is too short, the ball/score-machines take up too much of the approach, lanes are dark, and the approach is super tacky (you'll need to use your slickest shoe pads).
Great atmosphere and perfect for large groups. The food is amazing and the service is great. I’ve been there both for a birthday party and a networking event and had great experiences both times! Will definitely be back.
Awesome place. Inexpensive to bowl. Got a pizza on my first visit and it was amazing. Nachos on my second and they were even better. Hidden gem in RVA.
Bowling, great service, and good food with friends. My fave was the shrimp.
I like this place it was the first time I've been there , is very priceless even when you go on with a group of people and you're playing a game is like six people two a lane maybe $35 which is not bad but just for me one person even though you have other people playing in your lane by the time you pay for the the game y'all split it up and you get food and you pay for your shoes I've already done spent $50 they're just on me....... I enjoyed the experience I've seen how things are run there and the waitresses they were very nice. I think the only thing that I would change would be to have another bathroom on the opposite side of where they have the bathroom because you have to walk a great decision to get to another bathroom that's the only issue I had when I was there but overall if you can go there and actually afford it and play two or three games more power to you.
Very nice atmosphere. I ordered a pizza and it was very good. However; the pizzas can't be customized in any way. You can only add things to the preset pizza that's is on the menu. I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea Top Shelf that turned out to be $19. The most expensive Long Island I ever had in my life. It didnt taste to good but it sure got the job done. But besides those two issues, I think it is a very nice place and I would definitely make a visit there again. Oh I almost forgot, they also have indoor corn hole which is sweet because I love corn hole, and they have a Dj as well. The bowling lanes look fabulous too. It's a good place to check out.
Great service, yummy pizza, fun atmosphere!
Was there only for outdoor concerts nothing else. The staff was very nice. Seemed to be organized.
Great food and atmosphere. Really friendly staff.
Great place to meet with family and friends. Wonderful environment and great food and drinks
beautiful inside.. drinks are phenomenal
Had a great time, nice atmosphere and the food was delicious
Very nice place to hangout. We went here with my coworkers and had a lot of fun. The menu offers options for everyone, from sea food (breaded lemon shrimp appetizer) to a very vegan option such as my food choice, kale and hummus with soft tortilla chips. The music isn't too loud as I've experienced with similar places in the past, so you can actually talk with your friends without screaming your lungs out.
I had a great time! I went with my mom on mother's day and came back one more time since then. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and sanitary. The building is BEAUTIFUL. I love how the bowling alley, the bar, the restaurant, and the outdoor area kind of just flow into each other seamlessly. The one complaint I had was that the drinks were pretty expensive. Two pitcher of beer plus a glass of wine before tax and tip was something like 58 dollars? After tax and tip it was well into the 70 dollar range. I will say that the drink prices have made me into a casual patron rather than a regular patron, however, I still had a lot of fun while I was there. I plan on coming back (on special occasions).
It was a very nice spot. Bowling, live band, great pizza, really nice atmosphere.
I had a great experience at River City roll, but I was not aware of the $200 minimum requirement to reserve a lane until I was already there. We only bowled two games, so it was really pricey for bowling, but I may be back! Great beer selection and beautiful atmosphere! ♥️
I’ve visited this place for the first time and I had a pleased experience. The atmosphere is not only of an bowling alley, it has live music, huge bar, ans great food. After 5pm is only 21 and up, just go and check it out you will enjoy it.
FULL bar, surprisingly good priced drinks. Will go back to bowl and eat. Upscale but small menu. A little loud
Had such a great time on a double date there.
This place is massive!! I like the vibe.
What the frozé was the delicious cocktail I had and the fries were delicious!
Food and alcoholic drinks were a bit pricer then I'd prefer for a bowling establishment, but very good. Great experience! The only dislike was that all the balls are the same color which means if you have a larger group, you are having to search, each frame, through all the balls for your size and weight rather than just looking for a color.
$44/hr with two show rentals. Two drinks and a pizza came to $97 with tip for the hour. Fun but not worth a note for 1 hour
Its definitely not your average AMF bowling alley. Good food. Good beer selection. Service was great considering the amount of people. But once dark falls it gets too loud to converse.
Quite disappointed that no kids were allowed after 5pm. I had a baby 3 months old who would have slept through it all in a baby carrier, meaning no crying or running around. Looks new and fun- maybe it’s more of a bar with bowling on the side? Would’ve been nice to be let in.
Great bar. Beautiful bowling lanes and bowling area. Table shuffleboard is a great hit. Small seating area for bowling.
A really fun bowling experience that has an ambience different than most bowling alleys. The food is great and so is the bar. Kids are not allowed in the evenings, but a great place to bowl with them during the day. There is also 3 skeeball machines and outdoor setting. River City Roll is set in a great location ,just of Boulevard in Scotts Addition.
Not your typical bowling alley with good beer choices, better food that isn't typical pub fare and a clean environment. We really enjoyed the couches in place of the usual hard plastic benches!
Great place for a after work gathering.
Fun bowling with good apps and drinks.
It could be right now the best kept secret in the city, love the set up of the whole place. A difference!
Lots going on here, pizza is the best !!
Surprisingly good food and drink menus.
Passive aggressive staff. Don't attempt to be anything less than stone sober here. The level of fake hospitality is palpable.
I am so glad that finally found this Bowling Alley. This is my new place to be...I bowled at the Arthur Ashe event last night and if you did not attend you missed a whole lot of fun. And you know I played 2 GAMES AND I WON. BOTH GAMES...THAT'S ALL I GOT....TRY IT OUT YOU WILL COME BACK. PLENTY OF PARKING AND GREAT FOOD...I WOULD LIKE THANK THE SCOTTS ADDITION GROUP FOR THE A OUTSTANDING NIGHT FOR MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS...ALL LAST EVERYTHING WAS FREE TO BOWL AND THEY OFFERED A ALL YOU COULD EAT BUFFET. MINI CHICKEN NUGGETS. PIZZA MORE THAT 6 kinds...vegs.dip.hummus. and it was a nice spread. I hope it all worked out for the tennis association and they received a great amount of funds on Behave of Arthur Ashe. This was a great event. Last night. And you know the deal. That's all I got....
Great food and drinks. Very smooth, wet lanes make for a fun happy hour of bowling!!!
Lane kept freezing
Pet friendly! Great atmosphere and staff. We didn't even bowl, but are planning a return visit to do so.
A great place to have fun
What is boutique bowling? River City Roll is boutique. I still don't know what boutique bowling is, but I think it's good food, good drinks and a good time. Not that bar food, PBR pitcher nonsense. This place is legit. TVs and plenty of room for the bar in addition to bowling. Deadwood flatbread.
Place looks cool, but really bad bar customer service during more than one visit. Don't recommend going here for the bar side of it. Made it 2 stars instead of 1 to be fair - the building itself is nice and they have fun events here. However, the nice looks are just not enough to make up for the hostile bar staff I personally have experienced here. I like everything else about the place though and would only come back for regular bowling and not the bar.
Blonde bartender girl tonight was so disgustingly rude... she was rolling her eyes at me when I was asking a very simple question about what was in their specialty cocktail - and then she was even more rude to my boyfriend, he asked about what whiskeys they have because obviously he just wanted some whiskey and she didn’t say a single word back. She grabbed a menu from further down the bar and came back and tossed it in his face. You just know when someone is being disrespectful, doesn’t take much to figure that out. I wanted to like this place so much but couldn’t get over the treatment we received. There really is no excuse or valid reason to treat a customer poorly. Not sure if I’ll be back or not.
We were having a great time bowling for a friends birthday on a Tuesday night when the waitress comes over with 30 minutes left in our time and tells us we have to spend TWO HUNDRED dollars while we are there regardless if we eat or drink that much. No one was told this up front. No signs are posted. It was because we reserved a lane. And our bowling costs don’t factor in to that. It is a Tuesday... it wasn’t crowded. I don’t mind the rule, I mind the way it was told to us and forced upon us. It completely stopped the wonderful time we were having and was 100% rude to the birthday girl - that is the part I’m upset about. Management needs to work on communicating with EVERY member of the group this rule before it is forced upon us. Will not be going back.
Comfortable modern bowling...really good food and drink!
Edit: We came here again, this time to bowl. However, our experience was spoiled by our server. He interrupted us mid-game as the time on our bowling was still ticking (we got an hour bowling). He wanted to close out our bowling tab, but he could have done it closer to the end of our time or after we were done. It was definitely not good timing and put a damper on our mood. Not only that, but in the front desk a sign said that if you do the check-in on Facebook you get to have the bowling shoe rental for free— however, although we got the front desk lady to write a note about it in large, green letters that we did it on our receipt, our server said that we have to show it to him. Personally. As the time was ticking on our game. So we just had him close our tab, but we weren’t happy at all because of the rude way he was acting. I did show him the Facebook check-in later but he said it was too late because he already closed the tab. And when we told the front desk about it, they said we had to speak with the manager to get a resolution because it was above her pay grade. We decided not to because it was a Sunday and we just wanted to get out of there. I don’t think we will be back. Old review: We came here to try their food and to check out what their bowling alley looked like. Not long after we were seated, we were told that there were no waiters today or something like that and that we had to order food at the bar. So we decided to sit at the bar so that it would be easier to order/ get our food. We decided to order pizza, an appetizer and dessert along with a couple drinks. The appetizer- which was crawfish hush puppies— came out pretty quickly along with the dulce de leche ice cream with a chocolate chip cookie dessert. Cookie was soft and chocolate chips were nice and gooey. Ice cream tasted good on top of it. Kingpin pizza we got was quite unique. It had an egg base with bacon, blue cheese, collard greens, white sauce and etc on it. Though it was an unusual combination, it tasted pretty decent actually. (PS: I overheard them saying that the menu is going to change soon). Once we had our meal, we looked around at the bowling alley/ area which was all filled up with people. There were also other games available such as skee-ball and one that had sand and sliding metal disks. The skee-ball was free— which was great. It gold old after playing a few rounds though. Overall, it had a good atmosphere and nice/ new looking bowling alley with pretty lights around them and was popular, even midday on a Saturday. We may come back for their bowling sometime.
The atmosphere was amazing. Drinks and food was great
Massive fun. Much entertains. Taylor at the front rocks. Boy knows how to arrange ppl in their lanes like a pro bowling manager ✌️. Bar ppl were awesome. And our server was super on fleek. Think her name was.. Casey? Can get crowded so be prepared to not be a pud while waiting lol. Psa: they do have size 15 men's shoes. Only criticism is all the balls are boring grey. Good for consistency, but boring for abitrary personalization. Moral of the review: Taylor deserves a raise and promotion. And maybe invest in rainbow balls? But party gains all around.
Great atmosphere even if you don’t bowl good place to grab a drink with friends!
Great time. Fun vibe.
This place is truly horrendous. Will likely be closed in a year. In fact, they are already reducing hours. Double check that they haven't reduced hours or closed their doors for good before showing up. Better yet, avoid all together as their staff is incredibly rude and the prices are too high. Response to owner: you ought to spend a little time at your bowling alley to see the absolute mess that goes on when you aren't around. Your staff is demeaning (particularly the night staff) and seem to view customers as an inconvenience. We arrived two hours before closing and weren't allowed to bowl. We bought a round of drinks and shortly after buying them (and well before closing) two of your goons, unprovoked and without warning, grabbed the drinks out of our hands and told us to get out or they would "knock us out." We asked them why they were closing early and why we didn't get any warning about this early closing time and they told us to "shut our mouths and leave." We left and I can assure you we will never be back. I sincerely hope that anyone who reads this will also avoid your awful establishment at all costs.
I enjoyed the hospitality extended to me during my birthday celebration. The staff was great in accommodating my party. Thank you for a great celebration!
Hip, modern bowling alley with awesome food and bar. With a dozen craft beers on tap and house made pizza and chips, this is not your typical nacho cheese bowling joint! Makes me want to take up bowling again!
Good bowling. Pleasant experience, but if the doors and windows are going to be open during the summer, there need to be fans of some sort to keep it cool. Was very hot today.
The service was poor and the music was ridiculously loud. When the reservation was made, no warning about a booked party with a DJ was mentioned. We were looking forward to a fun business outing and were very disappointed.
So much fun and great atmosphere! The staff is very friendly.
Had a great time bowling. Staff was attentive and friendly and the lanes are in great shape.
Great atmosphere and food
Great atmosphere. Great service. Great fun
First time there, place really looks cool, no room to bowl , not like a professional style bowling alley. Very tight seating area you are always in someone else's way. A party of seven people were next to us they took up extra couch. Our group of four shared a couch for three. Would not recommend this place for serious bowling. Lanes are dark wood with colored lights the whole place is dark. Also lanes are done by time , not sure what happens if you go over . I was happy to leave after one hour.
Great time celebrating the Redskins at a fundraising event! Enjoyed myself so much! Good food, service and drinks! Great venue for groups, family and friends. Nice place for friends to drink, eat and have a great game of bowling! Music and great ambience! I'll be back!
Really nice lanes, plush sofas, great beer selection and full bar. So so food, but that's not what I came for. An evening of bowling and beverages can add up though $$.
Update 10/20/19: Just visited again for the first time since my initial review and thought I would write a quick update on my experience. This visit I was finally able to try some of the food, which has to be said is really very good. The appetizer I had and the meal a friend had were restaurant quality and really enhanced the experience. While in my original review I had been nit picky with the bowling, on this second trip I have decided that its just a quirk of the particular ally and an enjoyable change from bowling locations. The only negative to this trip (which is why I have kept my review at 3 stars) is once again the service is just incredibly inattentive. On a Sunday night with only three of four other parties staff only visited twice in 60 minutes. This wouldn't be an issue if you could just walk to the bar to order drinks and food but your tab is not persistent between your lane and the bar. Meaning you cannot just walk to the bar to order a drink on your already open tab. Additionally much like on my first visit there is no warning when the main kitchen will close so when the rest of my party arrived they were handed food menus only to then be told they arrived too late to order. Overall the bowling and food are wonderful and lots of fun. But the staff continues to be a major drain on the experience. 1/2019: This place was a lot of fun but I have a few issues with the way they handle food and drinks and general customer service. First the most disappointing part of the whole night was that the kitchen seemingly closes 2 whole hours (10PM on a Sunday) before the rest of the alley. This wouldn't be a problem except for that the closing time for the kitchen is not announced or clearly displayed anywhere within the alley or on their website. This led to my group being very disappointed when the only thing the server could tell us was that the kitchen closed "just after we started our game" however this was brought to our attention 30 minutes into our first game meaning that 2 separate staff had a combined 4 opportunities to warn our group that the kitchen would be closing soon despite staff even taking the time to hand us food menus. I just wish any of the staff would have taken the time to notify my group of this. This is made worse when you consider that you need to spend a minimum of $200 in food and drink orders to make a reservation at this alley. Considering the relatively hidden kitchen close time you could be completely blind sided by this and saddled with the burden of ordering $200 in drinks alone. Additionally the staff that take drink and food orders are not very attentive and pretty much only come around once every half hour, primarily to warn your party of how much time you have remaining. I don't know if it was just a busy night or if they were understaffed but I definitely expected a greater presence from staff as far as drinks and food are concerned. You will spend much more here than other alleys in the area so I wouldn't say it was worth it unless you can get the whole experience (bowling/food/bar/no kids). Two other notes about the bowling itself: 1st. The lane on the right of the ball return is much too close to the ball return for taller/larger individuals to use easily. If you have larger people in your party (who are right handed) definitely try to score a lane to the left of the ball return. 2nd. All of the balls are the same color. This might be more a nitpicky thing but having almost the balls be the same color means it takes forever to identify and select the ball you've been using when you start your turn. This means more time searching for a properly fitting/weighed ball and less time actually bowling and having fun. I'm sure River City Roll has to potential to be a great hangout spot but in its current form depending on your experience you'll either really enjoy it, or make your first experience one of your last.
The people were nice to me.
First time bowling staff was awesome
Upscale pizza from a wood over, upgraded bowling experience. My wife and I actually go even when we don't want to bowl.
Had daughter's 13th birthday party here - huge success. All her friends had a total blast and so did she. The food was great (the Deadwood pizza is DELISH), the atmosphere was fantastic and then there was the service. Donnie was really just wonderful. He got us everything we asked for, made great recommendations, and handled fourteen 13 year olds without even blinking. We had a great time and we will definitely be back!
Great local bowling alley
Great place, plenty of options to keep you entertained.
Great bowling experience for less than most of the big chain alleys. Good atmosphere and awesome staff.
Great food, beer, service . I loooove that there is parking. Lots of seating in and out. A cool spot.
Beautiful venue. Live music was great. What food we had was well done. Drinks are pricey .Seem to be very understaffed. No service on the patio and only two bartenders on a busy nite.
Great bowling alley with nice party/meeting area. All of the food was delicious. The staff was super friendly.
Amazing lanes, huge facility. Soo many brews!
Bowling was great, but I don't need to hear lil John while I bowl a 30. River City Roll, don't be something you're not; you don't need a dj. Just be yourself. Stop pandering. Had a great time!
The only thing smaller than their lanes are their drinks. Food is okay though.
Held a company event here, and we'll hold more!
Well, that was fun and yummy. Bowled there for two hours with my co-workers, bowling equipment and lanes were all in top shape. Didn't help my game. The appetizers we ordered were all awesome. Again, didn't help my game. Great beverage selection. You guessed it, didn't help my game. Only bad thing, all the balls are boring gray, makes it hard to find your favorite one. I assume that's why I was so bad at bowling, but I know the right place to come back!
Nicest bowling alley in Richmond!
Outstanding time here. We stopped by for their Summer Special Hours to watch the World Cup and enjoy some food. The food was OUTSTANDING and happy hour specials were perfect for a great afternoon to beat the heat and watch some soccer. Would recommend this as a dining experience alone not mention the amazing decor and bowling!
Great place to bowl and hang out
Great staff, food, beer, and entertainment. The brick oven pizza is amazing!
Great place to watch free shows
A great bowling alley with up to date menu. More than just a bowling alley really.
Great service, comfortable environment & yummy food.
Great service and had a great time
Unfortunately, Bad experience will not be coming back..
Very nice place on the inside. Very clean and brand newish feel. Waitstaff was awesome for sure. All the food was really good except the pizza. Just not my style but most of my friends thought it was okay. Overall a nice night out.
Loved it!
Awesome cocktails and food, bowling is great...bit noisy, could use some baffles.
Staff was great! Atmosphere is energetic and welcoming. Great beer/drinks. Unbeatable prices. The new spot for RVA!
Went here to enjoy a night of bowling as our family Christmas outing. Was treated with horrible service after immediately arriving. Manager rudely asked if we had a reservation, we didn't because when we called a few days earlier they wouldn't allow us to make one. Then when we missed our time to bowl, they never put us back on the waitlist and were again rude to us. The place is so loud, you cannot hear anyone talking. It sounds like you are under a tunnel and a train is rolling over. Need better acoustics. You could not pay me to come back. Many other great places to spend money with much better service. Disgusted at how the manager treated my family. I also suggest you having a different system to let someone know their lane is ready. You can't always hear or feel your phone, especially with how loud this place is. You need a pager system.
Great food and beer selection. The pizzas are amazing. Service left a little to be desired on the bar/restaurant side. Service at the lanes was great. There is so much extra room on the restaurant side. You guys should bring in some games like shuffleboard or something.
In one word ::fantastic place.
Not the cheapest place but the fries are like crack. Burger was hella bomb. Inhavemt bowled yet, haha.
Food excellent, service wonderful and loved the decor. Beautifully done??
Great atmosphere. Spacious enough. Food is excellent. Ample parking with plenty of light. May very well be the new hangout
Can get pricey during the weekend but overall I really like coming here to bowl. Definitely the more modern take on bowling, with full food and drink service. Just wish it was a smidge cheaper, but I'm just penny pincher!
Laid back atmosphere. Not too expensive. Always a fun time whether you're bowling, grabbing a bite, or just out for drinks.
6 stars! Best bowling alley ever!
Cool atmosphere. Lots of different food and drink options. Staff are very helpful and always around if you need assistance
Good fun, but way overpriced. I split a lane three ways for two hours, had one beer and no food, and still paid almost $40!! Go hit up the Circuit barcade in Scott's Addition instead, way better value for your money.
The walkway up to the alley is short. Also all of the bowling balls are the same color so easily finding your size is a pain. Cool place to drink and hang out.
So much fun, great music great patio. Will definitely visit again.
Place looks nice, but got turned around because I had my baby with me. No one under 21 after 5:00. Seems a bit extreme, as most 21 and up don’t even think about going out until much later. Place was empty at 6:00 on the Friday night I went, for example. I can understand 21 and up after a later hour, but really didn’t make sense to start that at 5:00. Maybe 9:00?
Food was good. Everyone had a great time. Not sure how the prices are though because I was here form an event that I bought a ticket to. I liked it enough to want to come back.
Came here with my church group and we had such a fun time. The servers were so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our time. The only issue was that they didn’t take reservations on Sunday which meant we had a long wait time since we were such a big group.
Great drinks and pizza!
Came here for a work function an afternoon fun day we bowled a few games and had a great time the pizza was very good and so were the hot wings that selection was nice we didn’t play any of the other games just bowling. The drink selections seemed very good and the staff was friendly and helpful all in all a great place to come for an afternoon of fun from work or maybe an evening with friends
Very nice, hip place. If you're looking for an extremely boujee bowling experience, this is the place to go. Craft beer at $6-$10 a beer was the only option, no bud light towers or anything typical to a bowling alley. The food menu seemed extremely over priced and try hard fancy, for a bowling alley. Additionally, the wait time was about 45 minutes for a lane, so by the time we started bowling I had already spent over $100 at the bar between food and drinks for 2 people. The bowling would be great, except that it's time based, so once the time runs out (which happens with no warning whatsoever) they just cut your lane off, whether you're in the middle of a game or not. I'm not opposed to to spending a lot of money at a bowling alley, but the experience at this place is extremely underwhelming for the cost.
Great place! Love the service and ambience!
It's not too big. The setup is plush (hardwood floors and leather seating)! The staff is very friendly, and it's cool that they rent lanes by the hour instead of the game. I was there for party, and I'm thinking of planning one there myself. It's a fun atmosphere whether you're a bowler or not. I didn't eat any of the food, but a lot of people order wings and appeared to enjoy them.
Just stopped by to check it out. Looks like a neat place.
Probably the classiest bowling alley I've been to, nice leather couches and well maintained lanes.
Great music, great bar and food, and the bowling is so fun, great place to hang and play with a couple or a group
Great place even if a little loud for me.
Pricey but fun
