We went there today. Its usually the only place we ever go bowling but today I just was not impressed. I felt as the people were just extremely rude. I was about to book my sons birthday party but thankfully I was able to talk him into something else. I just wasnt feeling it. I know they were busy and stuff but just didnt feel like they cared one bit.

Love what they do for kids to bowl free all summer long. Place is old and carpet needs cleaning but mainly is maintained very well organized. Smaller balls for smaller kids are behind counter and you have to ask for them. Good for kids , seniors and adults. They seem to be busy during the day. Not sure about how good food here is since I never tried and bathrooms are just ok.

Always loved this place, but came in from out of town this weekend and wanted to bowl a few frames with family tonight, at 7:36 and website says they close at 10. But we went in and were turned away because they were closing at 8 due to not enough people bowling. Seems like a good way to keep not having enough business to stay open. Staff is normally very friendly but kind of rude this evening.

Ms. P is the best bartender in Richmond, hands down. If you go on a Friday night expect a long wait unless you get there early (before 6:30). Lanes sort of such compared to newer allies but decent for the price and location

Love this place. Great spot for Friday/Saturday night. Unlimited bowling, DJ, and cosmic bowling. All under $20. Much better than uptown alley in my opinion. Foods pretty decent too, better than your average bowling alley food

It's not flashy or foodie like Uptown Alley but if you want an authentic bowling experience in a place that only indicates it's modern by way of electronic lane scoring graphics, this is the spot for you. Other than those displays, it could have been the 1980s in there.

Nice family experience. The place is clean, well maintained and staff is polite. If you have a large crowd/family, check out their REALLY great specials during the week. It's a bit off the beaten path, but still a great family hangout spot that has good food and beverage accommodation. My kid's loved their chicken tenders.

I loved Heather, she was busting tables, serving food and setting up guests on lanes. You could tell she was frustrated with her workload but was never rude to a customer and even partied with us on the lanes during free time. She deserves a raise along with the white haired guy behind the counter with her. Couldn't remember his name. Sorry. But they were awesome. Can't wait to return. If corporate sees this. She deserves something!

I grew up in this bowling alley and there is always a good crowd and plenty to do. Good people and good entertainment. For the 21+ they have a nice bar with Cornhole and nice smoking area/patio!

Classic out-of-date bowling alley with a variety of strange sights, smells, and tastes. Which isn't to completely trash it- it's still a fun place to find yourself when you're in Midlothian on a Friday or Saturday and there's nothing else to do. I just think that most people would find it more than worth it to drive the extra 15 minutes and pay a little more for a much better experience at Uptown Alley.

I haven’t been here in a very long time but anytime I visited in the past I enjoyed it... sometimes it gets busy on the bowling lanes but luckily they have a pool table and arcade games to occupy your time so I’d say it was well worth the price but I do wish they would put out coupons or have deal nights

My family and I celebrated my niece's birthday party here and we had an awesome time! Great good, nice lounge and they even had arcade games for her and her friends to play. The staff was very friendly and attentive.The bowling lanes are really nice and appear new! Overall, the experience was wonderful and I'm looking forward to going back. I would highly recommended this place for parties, family outings, or just for a night out! :)

Went there for the New Year's Party. Overall it was a good experience. The staff was polite, DJ was good and the food was standard bowling alley food but plenty of it. My biggest gripes: (1) check in process; and (2) booking two separate parties on the same lane. The event started at 9:30 p.m, we arrived at 9 pm and went to the bar to wait. Mgmt started the check-in process without a courtesy announcement to those of us in the bar so we had to wait an hour in the check-in line although we were one of the first to arrive. Second, booking two separate groups on the same lane was awkward. The first couple who found out they had to share a lane with us, asked for a different assignment. The second group went with it but thought it was weird. We understand this is one night of the year, and the place is probably a good value for a family. I appreciate the owner's response. Next year, give an announcement to people who arrive early or give them a ticket, piece of paper that allows them to check in according to the time they arrived.

Had a great time! Didn't have to wait for a lane, we got drinks and food. Everyone had a great time, lots of people around us, enjoying themselves. All of the food was served hot and fresh, very tasty. Good assortment of ball sizes to choose from, the rental shoes were well maintained and in good condition. All in all, a really nice time. Everything on their site says they should be open but the doors are locked. My kids are so disappointed and a van came with a group and they are having to leave. Very poorly managed. I will add this place isn't clean, all games are typically broken. We only come for the kids bowl free

Clean bowling alley with quick, friendly service. I went here on a Sunday with my coworkers and we all loved the chicken tenders, beer options, and relaxed atmosphere. A wide range of shoe sizes and bowling balls were available, as well as pool tables, classic arcade games, and a cute outdoor patio at good prices. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun time.

It was okay, limited beer options, decent lanes, wasnt a big fan of the staff. They weren't outright rude but didn't have a great attitude by any means. Seating was wonky, i was glad i didn't bring a group honestly. I wasn't impressed, but it wasn't necessarily bad. I wouldn't shy away if it were the closest alley to my home and i just simply wanted to hit some pins.

Dirty and broken down. Staff is rude and disrespectful. Went here today with my kids and only bowled 1 frame and went to ask for a refund. Lanes are poorly maintained, bumpers broken, lane kept stopping us from bowling. Didn’t even get a full refund because we started bowling. Never going here again!

Me and my family have always loved going to kingpin to bowl, relax and have a good time everyone who works here has always been so friendly and helpful, but unfortunately last week i brought my family in and there was a new lady i hadnt seen before at the bar she was very rude and acted as if i was bothering her and like she didnt want to help me again ive never had an experience like this ever here before it was a disappointment and ruined the night for us i want to keep coming to this establishment but not if im going to be treated as if im a bother

Fun little spot. They have around 32 lanes. The staff is a little young and the kitchen staff sometimes takes a while to come talk to you. Every now and then there are minor problems but never game breaking and they solve them pretty quick. I would recommend the place if you're looking for cheap-ish bowling spot.

Nice prices during the day (when we were there). We haven't been to the alley in 20 years and not much has changed. It's not a glitzy alley like the new ones, but it is a good place to bowl. So if you want to 'top' bowl, it's for you. If you want a dining, video arcade, live band, flashy graphics thing, this isn't the place.

King Pin Lanes in West midlothian is above is a great alley. While the parking lot needs help, the alley is a nice place to go especially on $2 nights. My guy with the black Richmond hat shows love everytime I go and it's very military friendly. I've been twice since we've found this spot, and it looks like we'll continue to show up!

Good family fun. Easy to get to off of Midlothian tpk. and near rt 288. They have quite a few bowling lanes, food avalable, pool tables, and a few video games. The place is clean and the staff curtious. It is a decent bowling ally. The downside is they do not have Duck pin lanes for the children. I consider this a major flaw. Although they do have a movable rack for little children to "roll" the ball down the lane, it is just not that great a system for children. You are constantly hearing balls being dropped onto the lane by children who cannot handle even 6 lb balls. They ARE able to raise the ally rails that keep your children's balls from ending up in the gutter...it is still virtually a waste of time and money for small children to bowl. If they truly want a real "family" bowling place then they have to consider dropping a few of the full size lanes and put in at least 3 duck pin lanes. There where way too many children just slamming the ball down and watching it slow roll (agonizingly slow) down the lane to MAYBE drop one or two pins. For adults and adolescents it is great fun...but not for most younger children. The automated scoring system is really nice.

THEY DIDN'T HAVE CHANGE AND ASK IF AFTER MY GAMES, IF I COULD GO TO THE STORE ON A HONOR SYSTEM AND GET CHANGE..............OK SO I DO THEM A FAVOR BUT ONCE I RETURNED I SENT MY DAUGHTER IN TO PAY THE TAB WITH $20 AND SHE CAME BACK WITH $2........WAIT SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT SO I GO INSIDE AND THEY NONCHALANTLY ACT LIKE THEY DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS ONE ADULT AND 2 KIDS FOR A TOTAL OF $16. THAT WAS A SMACK IN MY FACE ESPECIALLY AFTER I DID THEM A FAVOR....OH AND I FORGOT THE PART OF WHILE I WAS BOWLING THE WORKER CAME OVER AND ASKED FOR ME TO PUT MY NAME AND PHONE NUMBER ON A PIECE OF PAPER JUST IN CASE I DONT COME BACK REALLY...... Lanes were awful. Messing up scores all night that we had to take time to correct. Clearing pins when they weren't supposed to be cleared, etc. etc. Having to reset pins and correct scores the computer all night. Even at $2 a game, it was a terrible experience.

My daughter went on a field trip here and came back saying it was a horrible experience. She got yelled at by the manager Heather. Heather yelled at a group of CHILDREN, who needed help with their lane. She yelled at the teacher in front of the children and used immature, disrespectful behavior during their experience at King Pin. What kind of place is this? This is unacceptable! The teacher has said the same exact thing. I will never step foot inside this establishment. Not cool.

Needs to be renovated, starting to have a lot of problems with the lanes getting stuck during bowling. Have to wait for a worker to reset it which takes a long time if it's crowded. Still a fun place to go when everything is working right. It feels more like "real bowling" than all of the new swanky bowling alleys.

Had my grandsons birthday party here. They had some special deal where you got your shoes and bowling for $18+/person. Well if you only bowl two or three games that's highway robbery. We went in with a party of 8 at approximately 20 each so that's 160 for bowling plus 70 for two rounds of beverages then two pizzas I figure the party cost about 330 before cake and ice cream.

We went as a family and some friends for a kids birthday and everybody there was nice and took care of us. Only issue was around 8:40 they started the loud music and it was not all family friendly. The first song was Shaggy, "It wasn't me" and it definitely was not the clean version.

The alley has been well-maintained and everything is organized and clean. The staff were quite accommodating for our fairly large group, even on a busy weekend night. The snack bar has a good variety of food, including a few items that aren't fried. The beer choices were modest, but respectable. My one complaint is that the live DJ (whose song selection was good) played his music so loudly that it was difficult to carry on a conversation, especially coupled with the regular nose of a bowling alley.

Been here before but want to try something new, so went to uptown alley, after a cluster of being told there were lanes a available over the phone and find that not to be the case, came back here. THEY HAVE LOCAL BEERS ON TAP! And it was all you can bowl for 3 hours $15 a person. Going straight here next time, had a great time with my 7 year old!

Nice bowling alley. We enjoyed our time there. Pros: 1) Very friendly staff. They were quite willing to help us out. 2) Bigger bang for your buck compared to other chains. One third the price, I repeat, one third the price of other alleys. (Take their Groupon). We were a little nervous about how the place would be since it was cheap. But it turned out to be just like other alleys. While it doesn't have those shiny lights that the other alleys have, who cares for those when you are there just for bowling? 3) Convenient location - right close to Midlo Tnpk exit on 288. Cons: 1) Rest rooms weren't super clean. 2) They didn't offer vegetarian dishes. They offered fries but they were fried in the same oil as meat.

This was our first time visiting and we had so much fun! We took our 7-year old. They had the bumpers and ramps for kids. It looked like they also had a game room and pool tables. We didn't order anything from concessions but it was available. Very family friendly place - we will visit again soon!

Just tried to go bowling with my wife, my brother and some friends, and folks in the parking lot told me the lanes were closing 2 hours early because not enough people were bowling. This isnt the first or even the second time they have denied our business, because they weren't getting enough business. Ridiculous.
