Went to the lanes early in the day. Was told to come back after 6:oo pm and bowling will be half price. Wanted to make a reservation was told no need, will be plenty available. Came back, the staff could not be bothered with our group. Was told no lanes, at least 6 were lit and open. No one on them. Staffer yelled wait list them. Walked away and left us standing. We thus left. Terrible customer service.

10/10 would recommend. Went to go get my bowling balls finger holes resized and unknowingly I came in around 10 minutes before they closed. But the guy in the items shop was supper chill, super cool and measured my hand and drilled the holes. Any employee that is willing to stay after hours, just for a bit, has my approval.

Wonderful bowling alley. I want to first address something that a few of the reviews mention, the outdated look or the fact that it needs updating. This could not be further from the truth, the simple fact of the matter is that a bowling alley is always going to have a little of that 1950's vibe, there is no way around it. That being said, this place is immaculate. I do not normally associate bowling alley with cleanliness but it is clear that the owners care about their establishment. While there we availed ourselves of everything they had to offer, from bowling to food and arcade games. The food was really solid and they actually brought it out to the lane so that was really nice. The arcade is a bit limited in the games but it is a better selection than I have seen at any other bowling alley so that is actually quite impressive. Most importantly is that the staff actually checked in on us several times during the time we were there which added a personal touch that is missing from many businesses nowadays. So whether you are looking for a fun rainy day activity with the family or a place to let your hair down after work, I can not recommend this place enough. We will be back!

Had my son's 6 birthday here! We all had a blast. The waitresses Tia and Mia were absolutely great! Food was good ( pizza, hot dogs and fries) and our drinks were never empty. The manager even gave us a complimentary upgrade because the arcade was down! Couldn't have received better service! We will definitely look to do this again!

Arrived just after their league ended so we had the place pretty much to ourselves for about 30 mins. Pitcher beer (devils backbone Vienna lager) runs about 20$ but you get about 5 beers our of it so it's worth it if it you are looking to catch a buzz when it is not hoppy hour. Unlimited bowling after 10pm is a steal when you plan on playing more than one game.

Great place to kick back an relax. It can be a place to unwind with friends or bring the family. Very versatile. Just remodeled a huge arcade!!! Monday Wednesday and Friday have unlimited bowling after 9 or 10. Tuesday is $2.22 per person per game. They have a lot of leagues so prime time is tight.. but if you can bowl after 8pm on a week day it's a great place go hang out and rattle some pins.

Beautiful and clean facility. We had fun! Our lane kept getting the balls stuck though. And our server and the snack bar was giving food to the wrong tables. There needs to be better seating. Otherwise, it was great! Very friendly staff.

We were a party of 11 and had a great time at the AMF York lanes. The lanes worked smoothly and no jams or lane stoppage happened throughout our games so it was a very pleasant experience. We ordered nachos, wings and parmesan garlic garnished fries that order turned out to be very yummy. Please visit.

Bowling here is a little expensive having us pay $60 for three people but other than that it has nice atmosphere and design they have support bowl aKa bumpers, and a medium sized dinosaur figure that is used for toddlers, inexperienced bowlers, and the elderly. They do also let the professional people go first {and people who bring there own ball and shoes and stuff like that.

Terrible service and horrible customers. My husband and I were rudely interrupted while playing a game of bowling. Not bothering anyone just showing each other support as usual, and it seems another customer had an issuse with it. Long story short the manager eventually was notified and came to our lane making a big fuss. To avoid conflict I figured it be best if we leave. We are from the Carolinas and are regulars at AMF howeber this experience has tainted our views of the company as a whole and we will no longer be customers of this organization.

Since they got rid of smoking inside in Va, I have gone here at least once a month. Not a fanastic bowler but this place is really fun. Nice, clean atmoshere, and a new ball set up so it's super easy & fast to find a bowling ball in your preferred weight and finger size. The staff is super helpful and friendly.

Building is dated. Some of the lanes are broken a lot of the time. The building is so Maria that when you walk in the front door you are at the lanes. They don't staff enough so when it's busy during league bowling it can take forever to order, get your food and pay. Sometimes your food never arrives. They only have one ball rack in the middle of the building. The aisle you walk down is so narrow you have to walk single file and then the front desk is in that aisle so it stacks up with people in line

My original statement still stands TRUE, but, (look at pictures), really AMF??? Fix your fries, and I will raise this review and remove this edit. I love this place, but this is just trash food. Please fix it. -4/23/2017 The picture of the orange fries are the fries on the menu, which I ordered.the picture of the yellow fries are the fries that I got (yes, those are the correct fries.) Just pure soggy butter garlic. Yuck. Edit: 20 months after my inital review, (6/3/2018) and I have to rate this place 5 stars. The food is getting better, and the people are wonderful.

Amazing bowling alley. Super friendly staff and waiters. I've never been to a bowling alley with waiters before. As soon as we sat down the waitress was at our table and took very good care of us the whole time. The whole place is super clean. The wings are delicious. My boyfriend and I went for $2.22 Tuesday which gets you a game and an arcade card and then drinks and tacos are $2.22 after that. It's pretty awesome. Very cool place

Went here today for my nephews birthday party. We were assigned a server for our party. She was on top of things and helped the party run smoothly. The bowling alley itself was nice and clean. The arcade was nice. The kids loved it and we ended up staying an hour longer just letting them play in the arcade. Overall we had a good experience so I would recommend going here.

People complain about the price of movie tickets. Well come here where you'll pay 7 dollars a game and 5 dollars to rent shoes to play the game. This is while a tournament is going on, so you're pushed out of the way to bowl next to a family of 6 whom have no bowling etiquette. At least I can pick my own seat at the movies. Save your money and build your own lane in your backyard.

Food isnt going to make you sick, floors are NASTY sticky, waitresses are busy and hard to get ahold of. The house lanes are not oiled on a regular basis and done poorly at that. During league nights its crowded and if your not part of the league just steer clear of that area it will make everyone alot happier.

I bowl weekly in a league as well as occaissional tournaments here. The reason it's a 4 star and not a 5 is simply because they are starting to cater more towards the open bowling community and less to the league bowlers. Depending on who is working the floor, service can tend to be a little slow.

Great for family activities. The updated arcade is a nice upgrade. The lanes are in good shape and there is a wide selection of house balls. They serve pretty standard food, but it's good - fries are served crispy, mozzarella sticks are not over or under cooked.

I've been bowling here for 12 years. Its an amazing bowling alley. It has gone through a lot of changes. They recently remodeled inside and it looks fantastic. Great food and friendly staff!

From small to big animals you can see alot. I really loved my visit. You might need to bring a camera with a decent zoom lens because the animals could get far away. You could make the train a bit faster or make the price lower. Honestly I think you should make the price lower anyway due to poor sound quality on the train and you can't see many animals while riding it. Sunday night was busy but lanes were open. Our lane attendant Tia was really great, and took extra measures to help with the kids. The plastic (dragon?) ball launcher was a real hit with our four year old, even if wonky to aim. Music offered a diverse but good mix to "get your roll on".
