I always have a great time when I go here. My only complaint is that sometimes the wait staff could be a bit more attentive. They don't want you going up to the counter to order anymore but sometimes it takes 20+ minutes before someone comes over to you. That's even happened when there were only a few people bowling so it wasn't crowded. They could wipe the tables down a bit better. Other than that, they're always pretty friendly and it's mostly clean.

Waited in line for 25 minutes on college night with my friends. They weren't busy whatsoever. It took them 25 minutes on TWO people in front of us. I didn't have my college ID so I paid full price. They wouldn't let me play with my friends because I didn't have my college ID. I should still be able to play with them even if I don't have a college ID right? Wrong. They gave me my own lane. Are you kidding me? I'm not going to bowl by myself while I watch my friends play next to me. I Waited in line for 25 more minutes for a refund. They wouldn't take our coupons either.

Bowling seemed like a fun idea to make the best of a Sunday afternoon spent running errands in Lynchburg. The nostalgia I had for bowling as a kid, something I wanted to share with my little ones, quickly dissipated when we started bowling and our lane wouldn't reset all the pins between players. The lane stopped responding all together several times over frames. The place was almost empty. I could see the other group playing was having the same problem with the machine not resetting all the bowling pins between players. There were no apologies from management or anyone attending the lanes. The parking lot is full of pot holes but the place seemed clean at least. Very disappointing. I would have offered a discount to a customer who couldn't bowl a full game due to faulty equipment, but i'm not in charge and wasn't offered one. That's fine. I won't be back and will share the experience here. The icing on the cake was a spot for a gratuity on the receipt. No thanks! Pay for repairs. Pay your employees enough to care. Watch business go up.

bowling would be fun. We went to play pool with the family. We had a nice time because we were out with the family. But if you're serious about playing a good game of pool, this isn't the place. 1 pool table 2 sticks. all in bad shape and no chalk. Gave it 4 stars for bowling because, well it's a bowling alley. Also food is expensive!

First time bowling in at least 10 years. Went for some Christmas entertainment with my ggrandkids. The people were friendly and helpful. I really don't have anything to compare it too but we had fun and I would have trouble recommending this place to you. We had nothing to eat or drink so this recommendation is for the facilities, employees, and bowling only.

I truly wish u could write this review without having to leave a single star! The service I encountered isn't even worth that. My first time at AMF will definitely be the last time. I had a coupon book I bought from a children's fundraiser and when I took the coupon up to the counter to use the girl at the counter said she had to confirm with her manager that they could actually use the coupon because she had never seen them before. She proceeds to come back and tells me they cannot honor the coupon. I asked to talk to her manager to find out the reason why. He comes back up to the counter and says that the person who made the book stole the logo from them. While he's talking another guy is in the background talking as well. I dont know who this random guy was, but the fact that he inserted his self in a conversation that he was not in was a problem for me. I've been in retail for years and I understand you cant just give things away, but five dollars is a bit much to make a stink about. Just talk to people with respect and honor the coupon. It's not that difficult.

We had my daughters 8th birthday party at AMF, We had plenty of space and privacy. Every staff member we came into contact with was wonderful and we were very well taken care of. The food was good as well as punctual. We will be returning.

We had 2 adults n 6 kids and played 2 games each. The man that checked us all in was very pleasant. However we had to keep resetting one lane to roll 2nd ball. When we ordered food they were out of mozzarella sticks and were out of one of the drinks we wanted. The food was good, that we did eat. Then the shocker came, it cost us $110 just to bowl. That was ridiculous

The manager helped us, not once did she make eye contact with me!! Not once did she thank us for giving her our business! ! But... she was sure to give us an attitude of how much she hated her job!! I on the other hand did not let her attitude spoil our night out. Will we go back??? Probably, but be aware of the lack of customer service before you go! !

Lymchburg Lanes is a great place to take your family to have a good time! Bowling here is fun with many size balls. Optional gutter rails and ball launchers make it easier for kids to learn the fundamentals of bowling. Large TV screens keep track of your score with cute animations playing a certain times. These TVs also show how to get a perfect spare and what pins you need to know down. This is a large facility with many lanes, though it can get noisy at busy times. At each lane, there are tables to eat food and sit while it is not your turn. The only glaring problem of Lynchburg Lanes are the prices. Bowling can cost up to $20 per person not including shoe rental, and food can be a bit expensive. However, certain days of the week house great deals for cheaper bowling. Overall, Lynchburg Lanes is a wonderful facility to enjoy some good bowling here in Lynchburg!

The management has a habit of scheduling hardly any employees to deal with a lot customers at their crowded promotional events, such as Sunday night bowling. Because of this, you have to deal with long wait times at the register. Some of the staff is friendly, however, others are rude and unprofessional. That's probably because they have the IQ of a low grade moron.

Wish that I could give zero stars. Waited to be greeted at the counter for close to 10 minutes while the manager joked around with friends. Foods expensive and staff was unfriendly. Asked for a splash of sada water to get a stain out and she tried to charge for a full drink! When I asked for the manager I was met rudeness and attitude as if I had asked for something rediculous. I will never be bowling there again.

Lots of fun for affordable prices. The only downside is that they are low staffed... Spent 10 minutes getting shoes upon arrival, 15 minutes for a pitcher of beer to be walked down to us, and 25 minutes trying to pay/leave.

The summer bowling pass is great for kids and family. The staff has been wonderful. We have not eaten there as the kids are too messy but the alley is clean and the environment is friendly.

Was very run down. Hadn't been since my son was 5. Figured now that he was 16, we'd try something out of the norm. We did not stay to play. Stopped by the game room first to shoot pool. The cue ball was missing so we had to give my i.d. for them to hold. Then the balls came out and there was no 8 ball. Staff lifted table and dropped it to see if it was stuck inside.... The table leg broke. We just got my I.d. and money back and left.

I normally don't write reviews, but this was just bad. Most of the staff was incredibly rude, the food was mediocre (and took 20 minutes just to get their attention to order the food) and the lane kept messing up. The only good part about it were the girls at the register, they were kind. As for the rest of the staff, they all seemed to hate their job and were very rude.

For bowling it can't be beat. As for "billiards", there IS one, sad $1 a game table. You have to ask for the cues and, for heaven's sake, bring your own cue chalk! The "arcade" is a sorry collection of, maybe, 6 machines in the same alcove as the pool table, 2 of which are actual video games, 2 are claw machines, and one is a key game scam. If you want to bowl with friends, come here. Plenty of lanes...just make sure the kiddies are down for the night. The bar is a bit pricy but a decent selection to choose from.

I come here once a year for a non-profit fundraiser. When are drinks set on the counter for 10 to 15 minutes while the staff was outside smoking I didn't complain. When two tables got their fried food 10 minutes before we did when I ordered 20 minutes earlier I went up to ask. We finally got it ten minutes later of course the order was wrong. When I went to take it back they slammed in the trash can and the gentleman cooking the food and I use them in lightly started hollerin about how he is having to cook this that the other thing. I said the service and response was pretty sorry and the lovely woman with the tattooed neck and chest started hollering at me and told me I was thrown out and banned. No, I don't expect a whole lot from a bowling alley but I definitely don't expect to be treated that way by anyone. Unfortunately the only loser here is the nonprofit organization I was here to support because I will never return for any reason. I know AMF doesn't care....... obviously anyone who who would hire this caliber staff doesn't care about customer service or repeat business.

Clean lanes and good music. Went there for free because a friend invited me, but didnt explain very well. When we got there, we tried to explain to the staff, who didnt want to help us at all. When we saw our friend, we went to go get him to explain, and the staff followed us like we were about to steal; then when they explained, the staff still kept giving us side eyes while getting our shoes. Had a good time, but really guys? You guys got a problem with people trying to steal games?

Lane 16 is all hooved up so be prepared to double dribble or hit it if you release close to the ground. Expensive food. Oh and if you wanna eat a kids meal for a snack bring someone else’s kid with you so they’ll let you order it.

The line wasn't long, but the person working was SO slow it took forever to get checked in, and then to buy another game. You had to pay for refreshments at the front too, so that took 20 minutes out of our game just to order. It was very expensive and very disorganized.
