Best happy hour in town
Excellent service
Nice place and the Monday night 15$ all you can bowl and eat pizza is awesome.
Great place for kids parties!
Great for a rainy day with kids
Cool place for playing games and bowling with friends
Always accommodating to our SCEOC Head Start program for our fieldtrips. Very friendly staff and reasonable rates!
A friend had a birthday party for their daughter there, which we did enjoy, although I have no idea what it cost. During the birthday party, I asked how much it would cost for me to bowl, as my wife was uncomfortable driving there herself, and considered bowling a few games. The woman working there told me it would be "about $4.00 a game", which I assumed meant the price was per game, and roughly $4 a game. I was hoping they'd have some kind of special, as the lanes were almost completely empty with the exception of the party we were at (taking up two lanes). My wife and I received a "coupon for one free game of bowling" from the birthday party, so we decided to bowl a game and then go home. My very young kids both also wanted to play, so my wife let them throw a few balls, and once I realized the lanes were shockingly dry, I let them throw a few of my balls as well, which naturally take forever to reach the end of the lane. When we went to pay for the games, we were a bit shocked to see they had charged us by the hour, which meant that our free game (they entered it as $4 off) was hardly free! (each game was significantly more than that) I'm not sure what the lanes would be like,l had they been oiled, but I can say that both Spare Time in Glens Falls and Spare Time in Clifton Park are substantially better lanes for bowling, and that the prices are better at both too. That both of those places have clear pricing they'll gladly share with you should be a given for any bowling alley, but as you can see from Meg who commented a few month before me, that is not the case for Saratoga Strike Zone. Very disappointing bowling, deceitful coupons and poor pricing. Enjoyable birthday party location for younger kids (which is the only reason it's more than one star), but I have no idea what that costs.
Nice bowling lanes, fun kids zone and arcade. Prices are average.
Lanes are not well cared for. The approach was sticky
Nick is the best ! Super helpful and easy to work with.
Excellent bowling alley with a great VIP room and lanes in the back
Didn't get to bowl because it was so busy. Went to the bar. Service was pretty awful. The bartender does not seem to have any peripheral vision. Finally left as we had reservations at a local restaraunt.
It is fun and a good place to have bonding time
This place is really awesome, lots of lanes and a big arcade, good food though it's a bit pricey, and the bar is large and serves a decent array of drinks. I did have a nasty encounter with the young lady bartending however. She was extremely rude and condescending. When I came in for a beer, I was ignored for a good five minutes, but chalked it up to her being busy. But I came back a few minutes later and eventually got served. She asked for my ID, which is a Florida license because my husband is military. She eyed it critically for close to a minute and finally handed it back. I was under the impression that it was happy hour until 6 on Sundays, but she charged me full price and when I politely asked about it, she explained that it was for dine in only, which I understand but she was just extremely rude about it. I didn't go back for another beer because of her.
We were travelling so this is really only first impressions, but this place was pretty out of date, and not in like a nice vintage way. $5/pp is asking a bit much for what it is. We didn't have any real problems but the poor guy in the lane next to us kept getting his ball stuck.
His place is trash I got 2500 tickets and them said that I cheated the tickets so I would not advice coming here and it is such a rip for the bowler like ewww. Who wants to pay that much. Also I had friends and adults to back me up about tickets but the staff here at the bowling alley kept being like hey you little crap you cheated that shiz
The party room is great!
Attended a friend's 8th birthday party. Everything was terrific - large, private bowling room with bar and dining area where both kids and adults could play, bumper cars, foam gun play area, game room, and really tasty food. We had a blast!
I was raised in Saratoga Springs, and Hi-Roc was my home for years. Many years of Jr Majors bowing and loved every day of it. Along comes SSZ and tears down everything, remodels everything with out preserving some of what Hi-Roc used to be in its glory days. You could have atleast kept the name, considering the sign should be a landmark of Saratoga. "Saratoga Strike Zone"? Its not batting cages. Stupid bumper cars take up lane space. Too many kids running around, loud, obnoxious. I miss my old lanes (as you can tell). I remember the owners being nice and the staff as well. The lanes are oiled well for leagues so I guess thats ok. They just went WAY overboard on the remodel. If you throw away that Hi-Roc sign and not display it somehow, I will be quite upset.
Great staff. I have a son whom has autism and he loves the bowling and arcade here. The staff is wonderful to him.
Hey people, I am a little bit older, almost reaching that big 100! I went here about 3 months ago and I just wanted to say that I don't think that they took my age into consideration. So nearly after throwing out my damn hip on a game of bowling, I decided to go to one of them arcades in the building. They have a lot of them life size game boys there which are hard to operate. I don't know if my credit card is old or something but, it couldn't fit into the gaming slot. On top of that, I lost my diaphragm under the skee ball machine and my husband almost croaked while we were in bumper cars.SENIORS DONT GO HERE!!!
Great place for family or field trips.
Best happy hour prices!
Best bowling alley in saratoga!!! Love donna
Very well kept facility, wonderful staff
Had a great time with my SGS coworkers today...bowling, food, music...lots of fun!
Great place to bowl. Staff very nice and can't beat the $1 slices
Awesome place lots of guns for everyone....and the food is great!
Awful, ruined our daughters birthday!
Absolutely amazing facility. So clean and friendly. So many options it makes a day with the family so affordable. The pizza is fantastic. They even make their own sauce and dough themselves. Plus have you seen the VIP room?! Gorgeous! Great to have in saratoga
The place to be for kids birthday parties!! Party staff was over the top friendly and did a great job celebrating!!
Had our 5 year old daughter's birthday party here and it was perfect. Very helpful staff.
Great staff!
Great, clean
Always a busy bowling alley but they have a decent amount of lanes. On the higher side for prices but you get that being in Saratoga. They have a small arcade and a private party section with with lanes. The entire place was remodeled in the last 10 years and they made the restaurant and bar nice as well as updated the lanes too. Their lanes appear is good shape too and they definitely oil them but not too much. Over a good place to go bowling.
Very cool place not your average bowling alley! Had an awesome arcade and other activities like a huge ball thing with blasters that shot balls , and cool black light bowling. Definitely a great time !
Great bowling alley! Updated machines, lots of amenities, including a small arcade and indoor play structure. Private lanes for parties, very cool.
Perfect family bowling night. I love it!
Tuesday night bowling is lit.
Nice, clean, friendly place to bowel. Private lanes are a great place for private functions/parties.
Well managed and maintained.
It was really fun, the band was amazing and the employee's were very kind and helpful.
10/10 friends got us kicked out. I would've kicked us out, too.
My dad works there and if he didn't the lanes would not work
Great place to go bowling
In an age where the go-to activities of yore are being cast aside, roller rinks, theaters, minigolf, Saratoga Strike Zone is going strong. We only checked out the bowling, but the building is very nice, the inside well-maintained, and the animations from 20 years ago still playing. Not only is the place very inviting and the staff super friendly and helpful, the place is cheap as can be. Very affordable entertainment, especially for Upstate. The arcade was also very tempting, so I might just have to come back without the girlfriend!
My favorite local place to bowl. Pretty standard price. I like the arcade, and the foods pretty good too!
Great place for family fun.
Had great time
We love coming here. Pleasant staff and good atmosphere. A little dated but everything else makes up for it. The breakfast pizza is the best. My whole family has been bowling in league for 2 years and we love it.
Went there with my class and had so much fun. Thank you saratoga strike zone for an amazing time on my field trip
Friendly staff. Very helpful and accomidating.
Lots of fun. The ball zone and arcade add nicely to bowling. Would be 5 stars, but we had issues with customer service when waiting for a lane once.
Great location. Lots for the kids to do especially if your waiting for a lane. The kids really love the bumper cars even though the floor is a bit small. Plenty of activities and games on the gaming/video section. Cute jumping gym for the little ones. Nice lounge for adults and sports enthusiast, if your into that. The bowling lanes are nice, bright, clean.
Nice lanes fun staff good times
Best time for the dollar. Management always accommodating and professional.
This bowling alley is awesome, I came here with a bunch of people and played a few times and it was very fun. Giant bowling alley with plenty of lanes, plenty of space and arcade. Shoes are nice and lanes are clean. Good food and drink as well. Fun for everyone. Perfect for parties or solo bowling. Strike zone will satisfy all your bowling wants and needs
Best place I could ever work at for my 8 years at and playing arcade game
Super fun! Took my daughter and some friends to midnight bowling for her birthday and we all had a blast :)
Great with kids, staff polite and attentive even with busy school vacation time. Good prices, great food.
Great time seeing Jeff and Becky Walton play!
This place is alot of fun, unless you want to take your family bowling on a saturday night. Saturday is their league night and there are no open lanes.
Nice small cute place
Decent but overpriced to hell, and I have been going there for over 8 years.
Great place to bowl...
Clean, fun, and hours of entertainment for the whole family. Strike Zone offers laser tag, bumper cars, bowling, and an arcade. For those in the military or retired, a military discount is available. Regular price of games is $5 and $4 for shoes. With the discount, the games are $4 and the shoes are free. Overall a great place!
Saratoga Strike Zone has a great Family Fun package on Sundays. $45 for up to 6 people. The package includes: a pizza, pitcher of soda and 2hrs of bowling. Galactic Bowling (same place just night bowling until 2am) is expensive in contrast. It cost me $132 for the four of us to bowl and an order of fries.
We had a good time like always :) Had some dinner and then played ! Lj had a lot of fun and made a new friend .
Great drink specials and decent food. Friendly staff and a good time
My friend had her birthday party here. The woman who was helping us was very kind and patient, and so was the rest of the staff. I highly recommend!
Had a good time bowling with the family. The Strike Zone was remodeled several year's ago and still looks great.
Very nice bowling alley with lots of lanes, an arcade, and bumper cars
This place is amazing
You go to the bowling alley thinking you're going to have a good night. We'll let me tell you. You have this here! I was just brushing up on my game, in between season. And I didn't think I was good to go. Fell on the first bowl :( BUT! I had 2 drinks from the bar and got 156 on the second game! Felt like a champ.
Best time ever! We will be back! I am happy that there are options for all ages.
Brought the kids here on a rainy Saturday-we all had such fun!
This place is trash they scam you and say you duplicated but you didn't and don't give anything back. I don't advise coming it's trash.
Had drinks and appetizers for half price that was great!! Food and service very good there.
Not as good as the one in Clifton Park.
Happy Hour... Everyday 1-6
Love the party room with the private lanes and bar.
Have enjoyed bowling there in women's morning league. Attentive To league. Great atmosphere.
My son lost his wallet here and it was mailed back with money and cards still in place! Thank you Saratoga Strike Zone for taking care of your customers. My family and I had a wonderful time here.
Private room was great.
Nice bowling alley with arcade restaurant and kids play zone. Very well kept lots of parking and reasonably priced alley food. A must go in SARATOGA.
My Daughter and friends went there to bowl. They enjoyed it
Great location for family fun!
Bowling fun and space for birthday parties, plus a sports bar!
Super place to bowl. Nick is the best.
Really great bowling alley. Has a arcade too and is a great place to bring your kids
My daughter and her friends had a blast
Fun for everyone and new favorite place to bowl !!
Great bowling alley! Super fun.
Its a fun place, but many games dont work, are old. Bowling is very good. Arcade is outdated and not worth the money. Go carts are cool. Not really a clean place. Friendly staff. Looks poorly managed/neglected from a customer viewpoint.
Awesome Happy hour deals noon to 6pm. Can't beat it. Half price drinks and appetizers
Needs better prize selection of tickets.
Strike zone has a variety of activities for every age group. A very good way to spend an afternoon!
Did a team event in their private room and had a great time. They had a few tables with our companies logo colors (balloons, table cloth) with our own private bar. I would definitely recommend it if you have a large gathering.
I was there for a private party in a separate room with lanes and a bar.
People there are very nice and helpful
Went on sunday at 11 am and wasnt busy at all.
Fun place to spend the day with family and friends. Great prices and an arcade for even more fun.
Pleasant staff and the place is clean. I would recommend new pins though. I heard a lot of dead wood throughout the house.
Open bowling mid day is $5 per game which is much higher than other lanes around the area. That was bad enough but the keypads to put in bowler's names or make corrections are unreadable - totally faded because they are so old. An employee must help you since they have the buttons memorized. It went from bad to worse when the lane TURNED OFF by itself just as I released the ball in the 4th frame. Had to wait while they fixed that and the score of the first ball. Then the pin counter stopped working so it recorded a gutter ball when 5 pins were knocked down, 9 when 3 pins were knocked down... I just quit bowling before finishing the game and went to loudly complain to the person at the desk about paying $5 for what could NOT be considered a game of bowling. I have to admit that the people bowling in the next lane did not help matters. One of the two bowlers kept staying on the lane, sometimes walking right over to where I was standing and walking. I understand that he was handicapped but it did not help the already problematic situation. After a few heated words to the person at the desk I promised to write a bad review even though he did not charge me. I immediately left and I hope to never bowl there again. Bowling is supposed to be fun. You are not supposed to leave the place wishing that you had never set foot in the building. Maybe the lane problems were just a an anomaly but I can't justify overpaying those prices for old, worn out equipment at a poorly managed alley. Apparently lane problems are NOT an anomaly. There have been issues with lanes not working and complaints about high prices in other reviews. I wonder who wrote the glowing reviews? Not sure they are honest and they are certainly old.
Had a blast bumber cars Bowling lots of fun
Good place for kids
Had alot of fun at galactic bowling
Nice facility. Great bar attached as well. We'll kept, great options outside of bowling as well including arcade and play zone.
Nice place. Outrageous drink prices, mediocre lanes.
Very friendly staff . Kept clean and orderly .
Pro shop was very helpful.
Good food and fun times
Good place to bowl at the bowling alley.
Had my daughters 3rd birthday here. Great time. Recommend the private lanes
The kids enjoy it, we have a great time
Friendly people and good prices
Lots of fun for the entire family!
Loved this bowling alley! Great for family!
Well maintained lanes, friendly staff, decent food and cheap, unlimited bowling on Mondays and Wednesdays
Great place for kids and adults. Fun games, can collect tickets, bumper cars, bowling, climbing house thing = all great! Only complaint, in with they had a better selection of items to get with the tickets.
This a very fun place to go bowling but the ticket toys can get broken very easily
Christmas party is here each year and they do a great job! The bumper cars are a blast too!
staff generally nice. lanes are good (although oil patterns arent often that great) and plenty of league options. prices are fair
Had my daughter's birthday party there and it was awful. Completely unorganized and didn't make it "stress free" at all. Gave us a tiny party room for 30 people even though I made them fully aware of how many people were coming. Not to mention it was hot as hell in the tiny party room. They had a teenager as our party coach, who just seemed confused the whole time and didn't seem like she was trained very well. The only reason I didn't give one star is because she was sweet and genuinely fellt bad the party was such a mess. Will definitely not have a birthday party there again!
Strike zone is the best. Donna rocks!
Machines don't always work right
The employees are great. We go at least once a week and have fun every time
A little expensive however clean and nice atmosphere.
So great for kids and adults. Lots to do and at a reasonable price
Nice lanes. We had the private room. Food and drinks were good.
Staff is nice. Prices for bowling and it's other attractions are reasonable.
The music choice was a little outdated but ut was still a good time tonight for galactic bowling
Great for bowling. Food available. Kids play arcade. Great for parties.
Absolutely the best place to have fun and get filled up. Been there dozens of times and always left feeling happy. Tonight was no exception!
Cool owner and staff. Very well priced. Foods not bad either.
This is the perfect saturday afternoon time killer
