I would give five stars, but. I am a small 14 year old so I usually bowl with a 8 pound ball. There rule there is, people 12 and over have to bowl with a 10 or more pound ball. I had to throw it wacky to not throw myself with the ball. I personally think they should base it off of size not age.

We love Dixie Bowl. It is family friendly, without being overwhelming, and the employees have always been super helpful. It's our favorite place to go bowling in St. George.

Hidden gem in the heart of St George. This has been a hangout for 30+ years and it has retained its charm. Still popular with locals and it has been updated. Great for a day out with family or friends. Ample parking though it can be a little tricky to find as it is tucked back from the road in a little strip mall. Also has a small grill for food and snacks.

I have lived in St. George all my life, and for the first time I went was last night. I knew the place was old and worn down, but I read all the reviews, I never had a problem with the staff. But I just called the place inquiring about business opportunity and the Manager was a not a very nice person, I totally agree with the other reviews said about this place.

Owner is terrible. Got mad at my girlfriend and I because we were playing a game next to his bowling partner and we were having fun. We were asked to leave because the lane was "reserved" afterwards. He cares more about his bowling partner then future, and potential business. Will never darken his door again.

The facility is old and dated, but inexpensive, and the equipment is maintained well and works well. Selection of bowling balls is small. I had a hard time finding one that my thumb would fit into.

I have never met any employees who seemed to hate their job more. They were rude and were not helpful at all. We were from out of town and were disappointed with the lack of customer service and were surprised with how rude they were. I do not recommend this place.

If you are looking for an experience that is modern and high quality, go to Fiesta Fun. Dixie bowl is old and my balls kept getting stuck in everything (I'm male). It is super cheap though and for that, I'll be going back.

There is a reason this place doesn't have the word fun in it's name. If you want a very quiet time of throwing a ball way too heavy for your size then this is the place! No music, no energy and a rule that you have to be under 12 to use an 8 lb or less ball. So If you are a petite 5 foot small woman you get to roll gutter balls the entire time after you practically break yourself with the ball that is too heavy for your size. BTW 12 year olds are bigger than me! No fun! Go to Fiesta Fun!

I recently heard an advertisement on the radio--remodeled, new management, so I had called about noon on Thursday and asked if they have open bowling times that evening. The guy answering said open bowling 11am-11pm, but when we arrived at 7pm, there was no open bowling and the girl at the desk told us it's league night. We saw 3 other families leave as well. I'm very curious why you've gone to the trouble to advertise and seemingly try to expand your business base, but don't actually accommodate open bowling.

The billards is pathetic. bring you own cue for sure. even if you own the worst cue it's better than their best. And the felt is loose on every table. Some body could make a good living if they opened a pool hall in So. Utah. there is no competition.

Great place to go with family. Keep in mind when going here that this is a professional alley and that open Lanes are only available certain days of the week. Call before going to ensure Lanes are available. The owner is super friendly and the food is pretty good too

Super clean, fun and extra helpful awesome owners and staff. Excellent rainy day (or any day or night) family activity. I brought my teenagers 12 and 18. Food was yummy and hit the spot. Benches and chairs look retro, floors clean and fun. We showed up at 5:30 in a Saturday and only a few lanes occupied. It got busier, louder and more fun. And to top it off, owner noticed 12 year old struggling to keep it out of the gutter so came and gave him mini lesson. Better attitude after that and great family night!

We hosted a company party here. The venue is much improved since I was here as a kid. The grill has inexpensive options, there are plenty of lanes, and as of next week the pool tables will all be refinished. Definitely worth the price of admission. The relaxed atmosphere also really helps you enjoy your time.

Holy cow does the owner here hate kids. I mean he absolutely despises them being in his establishment. I have never seen a business owner treat teenagers, who are just out having fun, so poorly. Funny he doesn't pick on grown men like that.

It's a lot of fun, kind of hidden from the streets. It's a little grimy but, it is a bowling alley after all. I went with my family and we had a lot of fun, we didn't try the food though. But, we were allowed to bring our drinks inside.

I love the classic retro feel of Dixie Bowl! Only 9 lanes make this an intimate affair but it is so worth it with a large or small crowd! Pin ball games and a few big pool tables make this a fun place to go with family or friends!

First time coming, for a work Christmas party, and we had a great time. It is smaller than a large chain bowling alley, with all of the perks that go along with that. The management team did a great job interacting with the group, and making sure everybody was having a great time.

Not the worst bowling alley I've ever been to, but still incredibly terrible. All the bowling balls holes were either too small or had rubber inserts which made it hard for you to let go of the ball. Also, the scoring system was so old it used a computer system, most likely from the early 1990's, based on ASCII art. If a place can't get an upgrade for who knows how long, then obviously they don't get enough patrons, and probably for a good reason.
