The food was fair for a bowling alley. The lanes were nice. But some of the balls had obvious wear to them and should have been taken out of use. Over all, the atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly and helpful a d it was very affordable. We had a great time .

The lady up front was absolutely horrible. She should most definitely not be the first person you meet when you walk in. We had our name on the list and were waiting for our name to be called and we didn’t hear our name so we asked if they called our name and she rudely said that they called our name 5 times already. I then proceeded to try and pay for my party when she just stared at me and told me she would not take my payment until I had every single person from my party in front of her: she claimed if they didn’t hurry she would give my lane to someone else. Overall I am very dissatisfied and shocked by her lack of customer service. She didn’t have a name tag but has brown hair. She should be trained how to deal with customers. Will not be back!

This is a great place to bowl, I bowl on league here regularly for years now and for fun. It is great place to bowl and enjoy some games of bowling, there is also a bar and grill (which was recently revamped). The Competitive Edge Pro shop guys also do a great job and make sure you get what you want at a great price. Overall I Love Bonwood Bowl and will continue to come here

Excellent, classic bowling alley. Well maintained with plenty of balls available, even when it's crowded, and the rental shoes were basically brand-new and all in good condition as well. The food was surprisingly impressive, and they had a decent selection of burgers and such.They also have a classic little bar with a couple of pool tables and dart boards. The only thing I noticed that obviously needed improvement, was the lack of video games. They only had a few crappy ones in a very sterile lounge area.

Old school bowling! I like this place due to keeping the original bowling heritage. There's a little bar area, summer months AC at the bar isn't the greatest. But you can take your beer to the bowling alley and have a drink while you are bowling. Plenty of bowling balls available. Bathrooms will always have soap and paper towels. One of my favorite places to go bowl.

We’ve loved Bonwood and have like taking friends and out of town guests there for fun. However, in the last 2 years or so (and this week), we have gone on Sunday’s with our family. I have experienced 2 recent rude and harsh customer service interactions with BOTH (young male, older female) front desk workers. Snarky remarks, rude eye rolls, and down right horrible customer service. I all for keeping a business thriving- but I’m not for rudeness or making a customer feel uncomfortable just because you are having a hard time working in a busy environment. Sadly, we will be taking our business and family elsewhere.

We have the get out pass and we drove all the way out here to use it and experience the place. Even though it doesn’t say anywhere on the pass that we can’t use it after 4:00 they wouldn’t let us use it. They agreed that it wasn’t written anywhere and still wouldn’t let us use it. We won’t be coming back because the people behind the desk were not willing to work with us. This cost you a lot more than just this one game you have lost our business..A good business would honor the contract they signed with get out pass. Not good business...

Bonwood is a fairly happening place for bowlers! It is run especially well for league play.They seem to be busy most of the time and the food I have tried there has been very good! One food disappointment I personally disliked is when the breading on their chicken fingers was changed to a batter coating. I think that the former was much better.

Fun environment and great bowling. Their are over 40 lanes, a cafe with booths and tables, a bar with a pool table and other booths and tables, and arcade machines. The food was great and their was a surprisingly big selection. Had a great time and will be back

This place made it so that in the middle of our game the lane shut down. We paid for 3 games and they asked how many so we clearly said 5 and if another person from our family comes and wants to bowl than we'll pay for them too. But they only charged us for 4 when we said 5 and they were blaming us saying that we said 4

A very classic bowling alley with an old school kind of charm. The staff was friendly and we had a lot of fun. I think a minor update here and there to perhaps the shoes they have on hand, the decor and cleanliness would have made this a solid 5 star for me. But overall its a great place to bowl and enjoy. Very large and accommodates a multitude of occasions like birthdays or otherwise. So give it a try!

One of Salt Lake City’s best bowling alleys! Bonwood is a cool classic bowling alley. They have a ton of lanes and they keep true to the classic feeling of a bowling alley. They have a place to get burgers and fries. Even a lounge to play pool and get some beers. Definitely a fun place to check out if you are looking to bowl. The only down side is that everyone knows about this place so be prepared to wait. This place is almost always pack which is a good and a bad thing.

Very disappointed! Seems like a nice facility, that is, if your a league bowler. Not being a league bowler they will make you wait and wait ....and wait. Then the staff acts as if it's a hasel to get you a lane after you've waited 45 minutes. They have no interest in catering to the weekend bowler. I would recommend paying a little extra and going to a nicer alley that will treat you with some respect.

I wanted enjoy the game and have some beer, but the gentelment who works in the lounge thinks he is an airport immigration officer, he did not want to see any ID but only American. I had my foreign passport that perfectly showed my identity, but I guess no beer for the foreigners.

Ok so first - let me say I continue to bowl here cuz it’s cheap. But for heavens sake- call 3 times before you come and act like a different person each time and ask if there is a league playing and what the wait is. Average those 3 answers and you MIGHT get a fairly accurate answer lol.

This is a classic old school bowling alley. It gives you the that warm feeling you remember when you were a kid. The lanes are oiled morning and night before league play. This keeps the lanes clean and freah., Though if you are not use to having oil on the lanes you may struggle a bit to figure it out. Always great fun to go bowling.

This bowling alley has been in Salt Lake City for a really long time but don't let that keep you away they have updated it/ remodeled it over the last 10 years or so maybe more recent than that but it's clean affordable and it's a fun family place. However they do have a lounge that you can purchase beer and possibly other cocktails I did not look as long as you can prove your 21 they give you a wristband and you're welcome to purchase pitchers of beer to share with your other adult friends while you bowl.

Couldn't find a ball that was 8 lbs that fit my fingers. All the holes were super small.people next to us kept using my ball when I needed it. Then they left their balls for us to put back. A few lanes had people on them and they just left in the middle of their game and one left in the middle of their turn. Food was good but took a long time to get it.

We have the Get out pass for this venue and even though it states that availability is Monday through Friday anytime we were turned away Friday night and couldn't use our get out pass because they said they don't accept it past 4pm. They said they were loosing too much business in the winter. I think business should honor the contract that they signed up with with the Get out pass.

Tonight my family went to Bonwood. Due to being at capacity with a league,they told us the wait for a lane would be 30 minutes. After killing that time, when we went to the customer service desk, they informed us that we would only be allowed one game due to another league coming in. Upset that they hadn’t told us before we waited, instead of offering an incentive to stay, they told us that their 2-game price, that we were expecting to do, was also the same price as playing one game. So essentially, they expected us to pay for two games while only allowing us to play one. We left in protest of poor customer service, paid more elsewhere, and won’t return to Bonwood.

A fun bowling alley! Of course bowling in always fun. A good place to take a group of kids. They have 42 lanes so it did not seem busy on a Wednesday afternoon. They have vending machines and bathrooms. They also have a snack bar. They were friendly and helpful when a ball got stuck for going too slow. Large parking lot. Great place, will probably go again.

Our family loves to come to Bonwood. We have ever since I could remember, over 30 years. They charge per game, one of our favorite reasons since we have handicapped people in our group. We can bowl league style. When they have leagues, there are usually open lanes. Nights and weekends they have music playing. Their systems just got upgraded. The lanes are well oiled. Good food, small arcade, a bar (for those who like an adult beverage), and bumpers/ramps for those who need them. Come check out the Bonwood bowling alley and see why we drive from Riverton to South Salt Lake just to play here.

This bowling alley has been around for more than 50 years. I never knew it existed until I visited. As far as bowling alleys go this was a very clean establishment. The cost of the food from the from the little fast food Diner they had was quite pricey, as far as bowling alleys go. The equipment set keep scoring was as modern and updated it was very clean and it was very professionally run. I would have been going to this place for years had I known it existed.

Pretty enjoyable exprince overall. Open pretty late which is nice. Prices where decent, and the shows where okay. Although they didn't have my size. Kinda 80 s or 90 s feel. Staff was nice, and courteous. The building was decently well kept and mostly clean, beside normal stuff you see at any bowling place. Good place to go bowling, I would probably go again.

The experience here could have gone better. Our party rented four lanes, but two of them weren't working, so we had to move to different lanes. The prices seemed a bit high, I think Fat Catz is a better deal for bowling. The rented bowling shoes were nice though.

we paid for three games, ok? THREE. In the middle of our third game, they shut off our lane. When we asked why, they said we had six names on the board. We were trying to pay for six bowlers, ok? They charged us for only four, and got mad at us because we had six bowlers. They screwed it up themselves and got mad at US for it. I would not recommend bowling here ever, and if you do, I hope that whoever screwed this up got fired and you have better service than I did.

Pretty cool place, great prices for bowling. Haven't tried much of the food there, but pretzels and fries are good. One downside is at times there's limited lanes for casual bowlers, because you have the leagues using half of them.

Fun, fun, fun! The staff was very accommodating for our birthday event. We had appetizers from the cafe. One round of the appetizer sampler (deep fried onion rings, jalapeno poppers mozzarella cheese sticks and some sauce). And some chili cheese fries. The deep fried apps were perfect. The chili for the fries was from a can but warm enough. The lanes were in great condition. The shoes were in good condition and comfortable. We also used the "house" bowling balls of which they had many varieties of weight and color so it was easy to distinguish. Overall everyone had a great time. I hope you can enjoy this experience as much as we did. Go have some fun. You have earned it.

This is a typical bowling alley, but there are many lanes, so wait times are never too bad. Also has food and a 21+ bar area where you can order various beers/drinks (no hard alcohol). Great location for Salt Lake City and a good amount of free, off road parking.
