It's a bowling alley that has been open since the 70's that I can verify. It has had updates but it is still a bowling alley. 16 lanes with a couple of pool tables and some video games and a little food stand.

Went to join our church group and brought a cake for my daughters 7th bday, nothing else just a store bought cake, and was told we had to take it out of there or pay $40 for a party package. Feels more like an excuse to charge people, the place is run down, smells like sewer, no mechanical bumpers, food is like that out of a bad food truck. They lost my business forever and the bowling alley in Weatherford is super nice and you can bring a cake in no problem, not only that you can take your food right up to your table just behind the ball feeder. Don't go to this place! Very trashy!

I live in Weatherford but had a business errand to take care of in Mineral Wells this morning on my off. I wanted to go bowling today and decided to try out Mountaineer Lanes while I was in the area. The short version is that I had a great experience. The man at the desk was very helpful and I had some folks to the left of me bowling that were friendly and even cheered me on even though I am not a very good bowler. Living in Weatheford you can either go to Fort Worth or Mineral Wells to bowl. I think I will be returning to Mineral Wells. :) $2 per game on Wednesday was nice too!

Not a friendly place, rude (1 was pleasant, she was the cook) staff. Prepare to wait, and wait, and wait... when lanes are open, nobody at the front desk. When you leave, nobody at the front desk. Avoid avoid avoid. I've never seen the Pro Shop open. Customer service not the top priority, or any type of priority. Hot inside during Summer, lanes always broke, ball damage (and they don't fix), etc. For such a nice small town, this is a ghetto alley. Reflection of ownership is my guess, flows from top-down, where problems begin. Save your money and time and enjoy someplace else, you'll thank me.
