55 lanes .. full bar , snack bar.. ask for Bo in the STRIKE ZONE pro shop. He has some really good deals on bowling equipment . Bo is highly experienced and always very helpful sharing what Bo KNOWS about bowling.. Go check out his personal accomplishments and lifetime awards..

It was clean and smoke free which is rare for a bowling alley. There was plenty of room for parties and people to watch others while they bowl. I also liked how they had the house bowling balls organized by weight which made picking one out pretty easy. Their equipment was old and falling apart and the lane sensors were off and provided inaccurate scoring. Overall, it's an alright place.

Bandera bowl was the place to be growing up. Now a days it is lackluster. The pricing is higher then other bowling allies. It is huge, and feel like it could be a cool spot again, if they tried.

so how is a management going to say we decided to move and basically made up the whole “ complaining “ process of our FIRST lane not working. our first lane was 30 and it was messing up terribly. we decided to stay there for maybe 20 min to give it a shot but in the process i went up to the desk TWICE. after i couldn’t take it i said something and THEY decided to move us to lane 28. and even when we moved to lane 28 we bowled twice and it was doing the exact same thing lane 30 was doing. i then decided i didn’t want to bowl there anymore and just wanted a refund. WE GOT NO REFUND because we had only gone to the desk “ twice “ and we decided to move ON OUR OWN from lane 30 to 28. and thanks to management for basically saying we were lying about our complaints. if i could give a negative rate i would.

Card reader wasn't working. Waited 30 minutes just to go in when there was 1 other group in line. 4 people at the register, 2 registers but only one person cashiering. There was no issues with the game, but we couldn't buy anything from the snack place since they use the same card reader. The place is run down as other have mentioned, but everything worked for us.

Handicap accessible, ramps and all. Pro shop is a plus. The lanes need a lot of love. They are warped and broke after every shot. Either the ball would not return or pins were dropping, took an hour to bowl a game with all the issues. But was comped a free game. The food is good, BLT and the double bacon burger are the best choice out of all the options.

We went to have fun and celebrate my son's 10th birthday on a Wednesday. We had fun, winning and losing to each other. We paid for the hr, and our time was running short and our game wasn't over just yet. But the cashier saw that and gave us more time to be able to finish. We really appreciated that. We started out on lanes three and four and three of our balls had to be taken to the proshop. Two of the balls are brand new one has multiple chips out of it now and the other ball only had two shots with it and now it is completely stuffed up. The third ball is now at the proshop getting fixed. To top it off after they moved us to new lanes it took ten minutes to get our balls back from being stuck.

Overall we has a pleasant experience here. Bowling is always hit and miss for us because of how overwhelming it can be for our son, sensory wise. However it was neither too loud nor too bright. The facility itself does seem rather dated sometime. Our keypad was a bit defunct since quite a few buttons didn't work. However there was plenty of seating available for everyone, there was a nice variety of balls and shoes for the whole family, and there was even an adorable crocodile to help my son bowl. Plus, they participate in the free summer bowling for kids, so we'll be back again!

Unless you go for one of their specials, the cost is about the same as nicer alleys elsewhere, so I'd say it's a bit overpriced. However, with a special going on, it's far more reasonable! Also, it's not common to have to wait for a lane, which is great, but it's not uncommon to have some issue with the lane due to wear or age. Overall, not the best alley around, but it's convenient and in an easy-to-find and easy-to-access location.

All of y'all reading these reviews. Do not eat here unless you want roaches in your food and drinks. I saw small roaches crawling on the walls behind the tea and where they put the food orders!! They must hiring anybody to cook in the kitchen. My friend got served raw chicken wings. Restrooms were dirty and had no soap or paper towels!! Only thing good about this place was the bar. Chris is a badazz bartender. Too bad I couldn't have good food to go with my good drinks. Servers suck as well. Every time I would try to find the server, he went missing for long period of time. If this place would clean up and train employees better, it could be the best place to bowl in town. Don't see that happening though, this place has been going downhill for years.

We weren't done bowling as we went to go pay for another game we went back to our lane and somebody else was there and had moved out stuff already! We've been going to Bandera Bowl for 30 years and never have been more humiliated like I was last night!

It is a typical bowling alley reminiscent of the smoke filled venues of days gone by. There is a snack stand with sandwiches and other fried foods. There is a pro shop and a lounge, as well. The prices seem reasonable, especially when contrasted against what some entertainment complexes are charging. If you are looking to bowl a few games without a lot of fanfare, this place is fine.

Love this bowling place! Staff is friendly and helpful. Place is clean and food at their small food place is good. We had deluxe nachos, burgers, fries, hot dogs and onion rings. Its usually not that packed during the week but on weekends it is. A bit pricey but worth the fun. Love going when they have rock and bowl. So much fun.

Lanes don't always work but it's alright as long you are okay with having to manually reset the score and lane. Food is superb and won't let you down. Arcade is alittle old and run down but it's not arcade place so no harm.

My family went bowling and got 2 lanes for 2 hours. One lane was for the adults to play and the other for the kids to play. The lane the kids were playing at did not work. Only two kids got to bowl before the lane stopped working. Workers were informed and they refused to refund the money and said they could move the kids to another lane (away from the adults). I don't know about anyone else but that is very unsafe for an Establishment to even suggest that. I am very disappointed not only in the money lost but that a family establishment would suggest to move kids no older than 8 years old be moved to another lane away from their parents and other family adults that are responsible for making sure they are safe.

First time at this house and I was impressed! Spacious with great lanes. Perfect for spectating league games or tournaments as the large spectator area is spread out and raised a really good height to watch your bowlers shots all the way to the pins.

We came here because I confused this alley with one I went to last year that was nice. I signed up for to Kids Bowl Free, but we won't be back. Upon walking it, there was a very strong odor of smoke- I guess they just went smoke-free but it's infused into everything. The lady at the counter looked miserable and wasn't very friendly. The selection of bowling balls was pitiful. Many were badly chipped and there were none under 8 lbs. I believe you have to request them from the check-in, which I wasn't told and I didn't want to wait 10 minutes in line again. Very dated lanes and screens, the ball return was very slow sometimes and just generally dull and boring. Better bowling alleys in town.

No-frills bowling, which I like. Nothing fancy, but they have a lot of lanes and the food is remarkably good and the people working there are pretty nice. The kids and I have had a blast coming to use the Kids Bowl Free program. They seem to keep adults/leagues on one side and kids and families on the other, which is fine, but the kids side sometimes has problems--it doesn't count a score right or something, or the machinery briefly malfunctions. Not a big deal.

I loved this place personally but know what you’re getting into. This is an old school bowling alley with bowling alley food. Way cheaper than Main Event or comparable places and without the frills. For that reason, I love it! It is what it is and there’s not much time spent pretending to be something else. Probably can’t get a high end cocktail here but you will certainly get fun bowling at a reasonable price. Plus the staff are super accommodating!

Love this particular bowling alley! The staff likes to dance , especially on Saturday nights from 9pm-2am, at that time that's when "Shake,Rattle Bowl" takes into effect, where you can bowl unlimited. They have a live DJ , he plays some good jams, gots the whole place rockin' I felt like I was at a concert, but not a mosh pit concert, but much more safer, promise! The snack bar is incredible & just a fun spot to kick it with the family & share some Laughs !

Took the family out during the day before the rush and wanted to spend some quality time with them. Remember why we don't go bowling very often anymore... pricey, old decor, cigarette ordor, and food isn't the greatest either. I came here with my family for my son's 5th birthday and we all had a great time! We ordered a pizza and soda pitcher deal and stayed for a few hours. We came on a Tuesday so they weren't very busy and the prices were amazing! I recommend coming here for an affordable place to take the family on a Monday or Tuesday night because of their happy hour prices that get extended throughout the night. We will definitely be coming here again for future get togethers or family nights out.

We came tonight to enjoy our night. The beginning was fun, however they sold the lane next to us to 17 people (half of the people were underage and drinking). They all crammed into the small bowling pit. Our lane kept freezing up and our balls kept getting stuck. When we requested another lane they refused. So we asked for a refund and they brought Yvette. She was the most unhelpful and uncooperative person there, she doesn't even act like a manager. They refused to refund us and said the other people paid more and they are more important. I would like for the general manager to contact us.

I have been bowling for app 10 years at bandera bowl & have never had a problem over there until today. I had a problem with the lane & requested another lane & the employee by the name of AJ refused to give me a different lane. She didn't want to go to the trouble.

We paid a decent price for playing 2 games with 5 people because it was National Bowling Day. We paid $32. I'm not sure how much for regular price because they charge for shoes and per game. They need a major upgrade. I haven't been here since a child and it's basically the same except the restrooms got an upgrade. They have the same old chairs with tears and stains on them. Pretty gross. It looks like they only painted the walls and added a new decal above the alleys. Everything else pretty much looks the same. Although, my children did have fun.

Arrived early in the day with 2 other adults and a child. The gentleman at the register asked how many were playing. I said definitely 3 and did I have to purchase for the child (age 3) he told me no. I paid for two games. Well half way through game 2 it stops and prompts me to go see front desk. I go and these two knuckle heads tell me "well they show 4 playing" I told them about the conversation i had with the staff when we arrived and their genius response was " he told you incorrect info" so because your fkin staff messed up I couldn't finish playing for what I paid for!!! GTFOH! As i walked away i stated maybe you should have staff members working up here that know what's going on. Yeah I doubt I'll be back!

Nice local bowling alley. No frills, just good bowling. Decent arcade for kids. Huge parking lot. Food is typical bowling alley fare, pitchers of beer, pizzas, etc. Go for the bowling, don't expect high end food like at some other places.

I will give two stars overall for the bar inside the bandera bowl. It’s the only thing the adults to have fun and play pool and drink. My boyfriend and I went to the bowling ally today for the 6:30 to 8:00 pm for the special that they advertised on their website and when we got there they told us that they no longer have that special but have the 9:30 to 12:00am special and asked if we would like to wait. They need to update their website. We spent $43.00 for two adults for 45 minuets of bowling where we could spend half that at University Bowl for three games for an hour. This place is mostly for children and school children not 30 years or older.

A great, classic place to go bowling at. With friends it's even better. Have yet to try the food, but it looks good. The only problem I had there was the smell and the wait. My group had to wait an hour to get a lane reserved, even though there were several empty lanes. We passed the time by going to the thrift store nearby, so it didn't really matter. The smell was of heavy cigarette smoke and liquor. I didn't like it, and I'm sure the kids didn't either. Regardless of the downsides, I would definitely go back!

We went with friends because this is where they wanted to go. This is not our first choice for a bowling alley. We did get our lanes fairly quickly for a Saturday night. But the lanes kept messing up, the score wouldn't keep right, and our balls kept getting stuck in the return. It happened so many times, eventually they gave us vouchers to come back because it interrupted our game play. They do have a special on Saturday night and that did keep costs down but I probably won't return.

We had our department Christmas party here. We reserved 3 lanes and ordered pizzas and a couple of appetizer platters as well as a few pitchures of beer. On first sight I was impressed by the size of the place and secondly how clean it was. The rental balls had a good wide range in weight. Everything was enjoyable. None of this will matter though if the staff is not good. I'm pleased to say the staff were all great. They had genuine smiles on their faces. They cracked jokes with us. They were very attentive checking on us frequently to see if we needed anything. I'll be coming back if I have the choice.
