paid good money for an hour on a bowling lane only got bout 30 mins on account of the lane staying down for about 5 mins for each time a player finished bowling not only that we asked for assistance and he said he added time and clearly didn't and the gutter rails wouldn't go down one was all the way up the other was 1/4 the way up . clearly there was something wrong with the lane and they said they added time but clearly didn't and even if they did it was absorbed by waiting even more . we didn't finish one game . and couldn't get credited another game because somebody "reserved the lane for after us". lane # 4

We went for a fundraiser being held there. I was surprised to find that it was kid friendly. The kids meals came with large portions and my kiddos loved it. The service was fast and friendly. Oh, and let's not forget that the parking was free. There are a lot of things to do, bowling included. If you are looking for a quite spot to relax I'd look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a place to have some fun with friends, listen to live music, grab a few drinks, and perhaps crush a game of ping pong then you are in the right place.

It's a big attraction in Chattanooga but the unsociable behaviour there is a turn off and to be avoided on a Friday or Saturday night. Great games to be had with corn hole outside and ten pin bowling inside.

One word: amazing. Brought husband for impromptu birthday celebration with 5 kids and friends, we all had a good time. They had a party of 50 not show up and made us welcome even tho we had to wait a long time . Games kept us happy and the service and food made us return customers. I'm sending everyone I know here.

I don't know why this place has such bad PR. I've heard claims that there were racist policies (not letting folks in if they're wearing trashy clothes. Not racist) and that it's dangerous (there was a shooting once. Sounds safer than a school or church). Either way, it's the most fun bar in town. Maybe that's the slanted view of a white male who's never personally been shot... But hey, corn hole, pool, ping pong, bowling, a dancefloor, good food, and alcoholic slushies? Hard to beat.

The new menu is a good start, but it needs work. All of the new vegetable items are great. I don't know who thinks it's still acceptable to charge $15 for an impossible burger, when a whole pizza costs $10. (BK charges $5 btw)

Out with friends on the Southside last night and decided to walk the half mile over to Southside social to show our friend who’d never been there what I consider a neat atmosphere, even for us 50+ year olds. Got there at 9:05 or so and they asked for our ID since the place is adults only after 9 I believe. Tons of kids weee still running around the place at that time BTW. We all presented our ID except my poor wife who had left hers in the car (.5 mile away). She doesn’t drink and I asked for some kind of reasonable exception so we could spend our money inside, all to no avail. “That’s the Tennessee Law” the guy said. We left upset... and found our way to another establishment and had a large time! I came home still upset and decided to check the TN law to see if somehow this guy could have gone to jail for letting an obvious 50+ year old into the establishment and I learned there is absolutely no way he could have gotten in trouble. Their policy and apparently others is a strict interpretation of established law and not based on reality as I read it and there’s also great legal opinions on the subject if you’re so inclined to read em. If I owned this place by all means I’d want to understand these laws and not turn away money at my door, but reading ain’t for everyone I reckon. Update 7-16-19 : Got a response from the owner below and it is indeed as expected simply a company policy, not a TN or Hamilton Co requirement to turn away the elderly and anyone else without an ID. As the owner admits it's a policy that makes them "turn away a lot of people at the door" and apparently he/she doesn't see a problem with this. Tells me this business will probably not survive, particularly when the economy turns and expendable income dries up and that's unfortunate.

We came here last weekend for a family reunion and it was great! We had 1 main server taking care of our big group and she did a great job. The food was great and our drinks where mixed well. Make sure to take advantage of their outdoor seating. Call ahead if you are planning a party, or get together and they will be sure to accommodate you. Great place! We will be back again!

Service is not the best. Visited twice both the same service experience. Took 15 minutes for server to check on us the first time after we were sat. You have to wait a while for someone to come back to check on you. We had to walk in a few times to get someone from the outside dining area and it took a while for our server to come out. Food was good the first time. Not so good the second time. Games, atmosphere and drinks good.

Last night at 6pm I arrived at Southaide ahead of our group to see if Southern Social could accommodate a group of rowers and their parents. THIRTY 30 people!!!! We are in town from TOLEDO Ohio for “the head of the hooch” regatta. Josh was quick to help!!! He provided us with our own space and server. Josh helped me book lanes for the boys. I ordered appetizers for the group to have upon arrival and they came out quickly. Our server was wonderful. Thank you SS for your southern hospitality.

The pool, shuffleboard, ping pong, corn hole, and some other games are free! The drinks are well priced with great specials during the week. Food is slightly pricey, but it’s worth it for the free stuff. One dad had his daughter on a date here. Great idea! My wife and I enjoyed our time. It did fill up with some younger people as the night came closer. Great spot to go with friends. We will come back again!

The scene is pretty great for anyone with a group. They offer a lot of activities like ping-pong, bowling, etc with a decent bar to top it off. The focus appears to be mainly the atmosphere of fun and relaxed, which is definitely something they do because of the good drinks. If they improve they're food quality, I'd rate it five stars.

Food was decent. Wait time was ridiculous- sat for 15 minutes before a server greeted us, then waited 40 minutes for buffalo wings and almost a half hour for our check with a table full of empty plates and glasses. Definitely not busy enough to explain the poor service.

Decided to try this place for the first time despite hearing all of the terrible things with the incidents and the customers being shit. I’ve seen all the tasty pictures of the food and was like it’s finally time to give this place a shot. We go in, and we can only get appetizers, which sucks, but I get it. Things happen, I work in retail and my boyfriend (who came with) has worked in the service industry so it’s understandable shit happens. We’re still like, okay we’ll get some banging ass drinks and get some good appetizers. The bars closes soon, (maybe low on stock)? It’s 3:30 on a Sunday.. it’s slow but the place is still kind of packed with people. We chill for 15-20 minutes and have our drinks picked out because we know for some reason the bar will stop serving soon? And yet we never ended up getting service, we walked out left. And even the guy at the door sitting people didn’t even mention anything when he was super friendly earlier as we passed him to leave. He was just chatting with another server. Guess we’ll stick with the places we get service.

My husband tried calling pretty early in the day to give a heads up about our party of 24. No answer. There’s was an event tonight, so we expected it to be busy. When we arrived, the staff told our kids they couldn’t sit us... at all. Weird. After my husband and I spoke with management, the miscommunication was worked out. Not a terrible wait to be seated. Mediocre food. Our waitress hustled for us, she was great. Manager stopped by to check and I appreciated that. It turns into 21+ after 9, that was fine, we were still waiting for our checks at this point. What was not okay was how our students were treated. They were paying patrons, too, and don’t deserve any rudeness from security and staff. It’s not kid-friendly, and that’s not because of the atmosphere as much as the attitudes of the staff. Probably wouldn’t choose to return if in the area with teenagers again.

One of the best entertainments in town. Corn hole ping pong bowling. Some of the best bar games. A fantastic outdoor patio with additional bar games. The only down side is they close early on some slow nights. They do this as far as I can tell without warning which can be frustrating if you use Google for operating hours. Their slightly out of the way location makes this worse. Otherwise exceptional

Great place for food and drinks, but on the weekends when the dancing starts I saw a lot of guys getting handsy with girls that were trying to dance with friends and asked the guys to stop. There were no security people watching the dance floor, I think it was a bit unsafe.

We came here for new years and had high hopes for this place. We came from Atlanta to get away from the big city NYE and wonder Chattanooga. The abundant games were really great and provided a lot of variety to please everyone. The drink prices weren't too bad either. Our main complaints were that the layout is sorta strange, having only 2 bars wasn't enough and there aren't enough restrooms. Bathroom lines were about 10 min each and when you have a big place like that, it takes a long time. We would be open to coming back on a non event night though.

Food was good bar food. Kid's menu is great - burgers, grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, etc. Buffalo chicken dip app is good and not very cranky, more chicken and cheese. Beer menu is adequate. Many games to play for free (just need ID to get the materials). Bowling costs money. Good for kids.

I go here at least 2 times a week. The staff are awesome. They have several bowling lanes so you don't have to wait very long for a little, they also have darts ping, pong tables 2 bars one located upstairs and one located downstairs they have small areas that you can enjoy your meal in private for a date. This is the perfect place to meet for a first date or to meet friends. Highly recommend.

My waitress, Tara, was fantastic. Food was prepared perfectly and drinks were delivered in a very timely fashion. Tara went above and beyond to make sure we were always able to get our drinks when we needed more. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some fun games while they drink.

Fun place. Cheap pitchers, limited selection of drafts but kind, helpful staff. Definitely caters to the Southern mid-20s ex-frat clientele which may or may not be a selling point for you but they have well-priced beer, solid bar-style food, a good staff, and pool tables so at least they have that going for them which is nice.
