Looks like a rat hole. Smells like a cigarette. Lanes aren't oiled like they're suppose to be. If you're looking for a decent bowling alley then this is not the place to go. You're better off going up the road to Smryna. It's 15 minutes up the road but well worth the drive to avoid this place. Needs a major remodel and new owners as well. The service alone is enough to stay away from this place. They only get customers on their discount nights because of the poor upkeep of the facility.

Stopped by here yesterday evening to bring my kids to bowl and was never greeted. Stood in line for 15-20 minutes while the girl at the desk helped the lady in front of me who was putting together a birthday party. The workers didn't once say we'll be right with you or anything so i finally left at went to LTA Depot. The customer service at this place needs help in a bad way. I will never go back even though it's closer to my house ill drive the extra 15 minutes to be treated kind...

Paid for 3 people to play 2 games. The pins failed to set properly every turn. We notified the staff. He worked on it for a few minutes and reported back that we could just score the game as if it was working bc he couldn't fix it. The place was packed (typical Friday) so we couldn't switch lanes. The bad: I don't appreciate how they didn't fix the situation and were indifferent to our experience. The good: when asked, they did refund our second game and gave us vouchers for a different day. I chose this place to go to based on the suggestion of a friend. I will not return based primarily on the way the employees handled the situation. It's rather dated as well...the graphics say copyright 1994-1995...

This place is a gem. Honestly didn’t expect it but received a nicely done Lebowski and hot fresh thick crinkle cut fries. My partner bowls and I don’t, but hanging out is a comfortable time. The background music appeals to all ages too. Also it’s a great price.

My nephew and I came to bowl on a snow day. Just something fun to do. As we are not experienced bowlers, we were unsure of whether to purchase the all you can bowl special or the 2 game deal. We went with the 2 game deal and by the end of our 2nd game, we decided we wanted to bowl more. So I asked the front desk girl if there was any way she could switch our game package to the unlimited bowling. I said I was willing to pay the difference. She said there was no way she could refund it and sign us up for unlimited instead. I find this absolutely maddening and don’t understand why I would have had to pay ANOTHER 17 dollars on top of the 24 I already had paid for the first two games. We ended up leaving frustrated and I’m pretty upset that there was nothing they could do to make the situation better.

Had fun but time for some updating Lanes were great other than bumpers are manual on for everybody or off vs electronic programming by turn which is nice for a family game. it was everything along the way including the restrooms especially downstairs. Staff was friendly, bar was reasonable.

I'll be the first to admit - I am NOT a bowler. With that disclaimer my three daughters and their families treated me to a most wonderful afternoon of bowling at Murfreesboro's Strike & Spare. The interior was clean, the staff friendly, the beer cold.

I live in the Cookeville area, and came to this establishment to see some friends that live in the area. When I arrived, I was courteously greeted by the hard-working kitchen staff, which was the good before the bad. I approached the front desk, where I proceeded to wait patiently for someone to help me at the desk seeing as they were trying to multitask. When I finally got help at the desk, the lady took so long to help me and constantly had to ask one of the two busy workers for help, to the point where I almost considered leaving and heading back home. When I finally was able to bowl, my friends were already halfway through their first game. It was ridiculous how long it took, and I think it would be pertinent for management to have competent workers. Ordering my food, on the other hand, was as it should be: fast, accurate, and served with a smile. They did a wonderful job, but I might consider a different establishment if the front desk is always as slow as it was.

Came in over the weekend with some friends like we usually do to see Amanda and noticed she wasn't there. I had asked the manager on duty if Amanda was coming in because we loved dealing with her and the manager looked and me and said " Amanda doesn't work here anymore." I said okay but, when I turned my back to go to my lane I overheard the manager say... I'm glad Amanda isnt here because no body here liked her anyways. That was very rude if the manager and the other employees to say about such a wonderful person. Amanda was awesome and very friendly. We are very saddened that she left.

Had a birthday party scheduled at 2 p.m. and arrived 15 minutes early to set it up. When we got in there we stood in line for over 20 minutes while waiting to be greeted by one of the only 3 staff working there. When we got in there No one greeted us and said we'll be with you shortly. We had to go to the counter several times and wait for long periods of time to find out why we had not received our pizza and drinks that was included in the birthday party package as well as the bowling pin and t shirt. It was a 2 hour party and all in all we may have got to bowl an hour out of the whole time. The balls there are in very bad shape and have chips all over them. This is the worst place we have ever tried to have a party at. We will never have another party there nor will we ever return to this bowling alley.

Upfront pricing for a good bowling alley. I've went twice in January and both times there were other guest. So it appears to keep a steady flow of people. The basketball arcade is fair price as well. We hope to go bowling on a Monday when it's only a dollar a have and 4 for the shoes.

My family and I have been in there several times and we have dealt with Amanda and Chelsea. Both Amanda and Chelsea are very friendly and are always helpful and smiling. We enjoy coming in when they are working together. At least when they are working they make our experience a good one. I honestly think that both Amanda and Chelsea would make good managers. We love both of them and hope you keep them around. I do have one complaint... there has been several times that my family has been in there when Amanda and Chelsea wasn't working and a girl named Destiny was behind the register at the snack bar and was playing on her phone. It took her a few minutes to even realize I was standing there.. seeing that made me very upset to the point I had to walk away from the snack bar.

Very horrible. They shut our lane down for no reason because the pins ended up getting stuck. They then refused to give us another lane or to refund my money. I usually come 2 times a week but I will never be back here again!

The place just isn't nice and it was packed up stairs with a 50 min wait and the downstairs was closed. I would consider this a last resort. I definitely wouldn't wait to bowl here.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. All of the employees were friendly and accommodating; in addition, they played good music and had tasty food (e.g., buffalo wings). It's super affordable and close to home. We will be back again in the very near future.

Lanes are in great shape. Reasonable snack bar. Parking lot is not laid out very well so you end up parking un the back. Overall a nice facility. They do a lot of specials to get you un there. Worth it for a night out.

The local Strike and Spare is a fun and inviting bowling center. Star, Mike, and the other staff always go out of their way to help. Their grill serves up tasty items. The cheese burgers and tots are a favorite of mine. Since the renovation the ambience has improved and the equipment functions much better. Check out their "Mayday" night for local microbrews.

I have attended several parties at this location plus brought my family there to bowl and we have enjoyed every experience. The staff is very attentive. It's a great price point as well. Plus I love the fact that they participate in the free kids bowling program during the summer...all you have to do is pay for shoe rental.

I was waiting on my food that Jessica was making for me. She was so sweet taking my order and making my food. Amanda was the rudest employee that I’ve seen. She kept telling Jessica she was not allowed to be tired because she has a “harder life than she does” I couldn’t believe Amanda was doing this infront if other employees and myself. She has the biggest attitude towards me and other customers. Destiny came back and apologized for not taking my order that she had to make a lot of drinks and she was also the other employee that made me forget about Amanda being so rude. Not sure why she still works there because this isn’t the first time I’ve had her attitude towards me or another customers. Destiny and Jessica were Amazing employee. Amanda needs to be fired quickly.

Strike & Spare is a family friendly place that is enjoyable for all ages. The only bad thing found was the bowling. When I went here the machine that set up the pins somehow missed one or two. So whenever I bowled there were only eight or nine pins. Please fix this soon.

The customer service was great, except at the bar and that’s why this review will be a 3 star rating. We came to Strike & Spare for a birthday party. The staff was attentive, made sure everything was set up accordingly. We went around to the bar and felt rushed. First we were told to hurry up and order, in those words, because a league is about to start. Valid reason, not something to say to a customer though. After we got our food and ate, we went to order more drinks. It was one bartender and it was busy. We waited, and waited and waited. He saw us, we sat in front the register and when it was time to serve our side, he went straight to the person that just came up. Wow. The company should look into hiring more bartenders or take the time out to have customer training sessions.

Reasonable prices, but the lanes aren't in great shape. I've been here twice in the past few months and I've had issues both times with the pinsetter and/or ball return that have forced me to get assistance and change lanes. Also, the technology at this facility is outdated and they don't stock their pinsetters with enough pins so it takes entirely too long for the pins to reset after each frame.

This place is a bit stuck in the times! It was my first time being there and i was very disappointed. Doesn't look like much money goes towards the upkeep of this place. They had one cook and he was also the waiter too! They had a special going on that night and not once was it offered to us. Oh and no bumpers to put up when little kids bowl!

This place is way overpriced for the quality of the experience. $23 for one game when another local alley charges $12 unlimited on Friday and Saturday nights. They place in you in lanes next to other people so it's unnecessarily crowded, and you have to spend your time bowling next to trash.

We had a birthday party there and I could not be happier with the event! To start there was a random down pour about 30 minutes before the party was supposed to start. Long story short, it caused chaos hahaha My daughter's party was to start at 3 and I arrived at 3 to find several of her friends waiting for us O_o The staff had already had already had these papers ready for me and told me all I had to do was write down guest names and they set the lanes up for me! We wrote down shoe size next to the names and checked then off as the kids received them. They came and asked what pizza and drinks we wanted and even gave the girls a few extra minutes to get settled before starting their bowling. My chaos was instantly put into check. The bonus was the bowling pin that the kids all signed <3 I HIGHLY recommend having your birthday party here.

It used to not be so great not that long ago, there were lots of problems with the lanes technically and the prices weren't that great. Now, however, it's been revamped. Things seem to be working much better, although the lanes were slow to reload, the specials are decent - like less than 6 bucks for all u can bowl plus shoes from 9pm to 2am - and the food is delicious. As you can see from the photos it's pretty busy for a Tuesday night and we are all having fun. Air hockey and claw machines a plus. Staff friendly and helpful.

Update: After a year we went back to give it a try to practice for up coming Road to The Gold Tournament! Much improved alley form the last time I was there. Staff was nice and told me about the rewards program you have. This time was a lot better than my last. Will be back to take advantage the sport shot patterns that are being laid for up coming Storm Tournament and The Road to The Gold Tournament in Detroit in July. Thank you Mike for putting patterns out fo the kids!

Outside appearance is not impressive, seats looked a bit dirty. I did not get a chance to try food here so can not comment on that. However staff members were very nice and helpful. Bowling lanes were fine. And I paid $21 for up to 6 people on hourly rental. Not so bad. My family had a good time. I'll definitely go back there.

This might be a great bowling alley, but the general population will never ever know because they have tournaments/league games ALL THE TIME. I've called 3 different times in the past 3 months (twice on Saturdays), and every time I've called they've had a tournament or league game (wasn't listed on the website.. supposed to be open bowling). Why would they have tournaments or league games on the most popular night for bowling?! Ridiculous.
