Love this place. Friendly family owned. We went in on an evening when all lanes used by handicapped teams and the lady clerk gave us 3 free game tickets and said to come back on a Wednesday when it is easy to get a lane. Have specials on the weekend. Clean restrooms. A little dated. Decor could us sn upgrade and would be good to upgrade computers so you have more choices when picking bowling functions and formats, other than that it is a great place.

The only reason I am not giving five stars is due to the attitude of one of the workers. We had reserved six lanes for our Girl Scout troops. The bowling area was nice. It was clean and the food was great. The one lady working the front got aggravated when a girl's shoes didn't fit and we needed a new size. She got aggravated when we asked for lighter weight bowling balls. The guy working was great, but you could tell she didn't want to be bothered.

Been bowling here for 14 years, so I am pretty familiar with the place and the folks who work here. The prices are competitive (compared to other cities since this is the only bowling center in town). I always take advantage of the weekly dollar a game special as well as the summer bowl all you want for $10 special. Coupons are available online as well. I know sometimes the staff seems a bit stressed but considering how busy it can get, I can understand why they not always at their best. I read complaints about cleanliness, but frankly, it just depends. On busy summer days, with lots of kids in, the customers can leave the place messy and make it hard to keep the bowling center sparkling clean 100% all the time. I think the snack bar ladies do a good job, again especially on days and nights when they are really busy and customers are lined up at the counter. If there are any issues, I find it easy to talk with the manager or the marketing director. They have done a number of renovations in the last year or so to keep the center as modernized as possible. The only things that really bother me are other bowlers who may not be aware of the rules and etiquette involved with bowling, such as getting on the lane when someone next to you is about to bowl, causing a distraction to that person. One customer gave a one star rating because some teenagers laughed when his mother slipped--how is that the fault of the bowling establishment? Unfortunately, human nature being what it is, we tend to complain very easily.

There was a birthday party and only 1 person managing food. It was chaotic and lots of items were out (ranch dressing for salads, mini corn dogs, and lids for cups). The bowling was pretty good but I have been to alleys where they can put bumpers up or down depending on the bowler. They were unable to do that for us here and we had to wait for a second lane so the adults could bowl without bumpers. It could have been an off day, so maybe we will try again.

Went with some friends to bowl a few games. Overall service was great. They have friendly staff that are willing to help. The entrance is a bit obscured and the building can not be seen from the road, but if you pull into the 7-11 parking lot it's right behind the store. Food and drinks (including alcohol) are a bit expensive, but so is all snack bars in places like this. The price per game is high; however, you can easily get coupons that make it rather affordable.

I came to "Northside Lanes" from "Brunswick National Lanes" due to the long wait time 45mins+ on a Friday night. I called "Northside Lanes" and come to find out they had open lanes with no wait time. Prices were cheaper @ "Northside Lanes" in comparison to "Brunswick National Lanes". Atmosphere was awesome, and the staff was friendly as well as the other bowlers. I erased "Brunswick Nation Lanes" off my radar and put on "Northisde Lanes" even if "Brunswick National Lanes" is only 1.5 miles away from my house. I will travel the extra 2.5 miles to get to "Northside Lanes".

With no competition in Winchester, Northside Lanes is what it promises to be, but no more than that. The food is okay, the atmosphere is okay, the facility is okay in appearance and repair. If you like to bowl this is a good place to go. If you are looking for a party starter destination you might be better to try someplace else.

A very nice bowling ally. I loved the lanes and had played laser bowl. Seemed clean from other bowling alleys that I’ve been in. The one thing I didn’t like was every game was a bit steep in price. Hopefully that had or will come down in prices. It’s a good place though. Good place for dates. I came outta there feeling satisfied and had a good time. Loved it.

My boyfriend and I went to bowl here today, first we asked for the bumpers because I have RA and my wrist were bugging me, but I still wanted to have fun. I was wearing a dress, but this was last minute planned. So they told us we couldn't get bumpers and I told my boyfriend it was okay and it would be okay. We continued to play, and the manager came up and said people were complaining about my dress. My boyfriend was already pissed off so he asked him about the bumpers, and he said he couldn't and said "I don't know if she has RA or not" so we left already paying for the two games and didn't even finish our first one and didn't get a refund. I would not recommend this place to someone who is just looking for some fun. I'm very upset.

Tons of (off street) parking, two sides, one with the twilight bowling, lots of available bowling balls in light to heavy weights, plenty of seating for each lane, clean restrooms, great snack bar. Winchester is growing but still feels like there's not a lot to do so this bowling alley is an asset.

We always enjoy a Tuesday evening here. The people attending the lanes can be not so friendly or welcoming, like your a bother type. It's a bit crowded but it's a good time. On Tuesdays I believe it's the busiest day due to their deal where you bowl for cheap, you might have to wait longer than usual to bowl on Tuesday not overall they are ok

The owner or manager or whoever of this place is a complete jerk and completely rude! I hope this place shuts down and the owner loses his livelyhood for being so mean to his customers!! He's a big slob and seems completely angry at the entire world!! The staff acted like they were clueless whenever I asked any questions and treated me, my wife and six year old son like we were a piece of dirt!!! Went for a child's birthday party. It was fine. I asked some questions about leagues that bowl at the establishment and was treated less than stellar. There was no one else at the counter so I figured it would be a good time to ask, guess I was wrong. They made me feel like I was interrupting what they were doing and did not answer any of my questions. Pretty much seemed to be how they treated everyone. Unfortunately I'll need to drive farther to bowl because I'm not going to subject myself to poor service and pay for it.

Overall a nice place, but difficult to find. Most of the staff seems friendly, but the man who helped my boyfriend and I was extremely rude. He said he called our names three times when a lane opened up, but never used the loud speaker and it was quite hard to hear anything over the people and music. There definitely should be more staff working on a Friday night instead of just having one person running food and one person behind the counter to oversee that everything is running smoothly.

Pro Shop, terrible business prejudice against bowlers with higher than 200 leauge average...treatment not equal to those with less than 200 league average. Blacks not welcomed. Ball driller said my average was to high for him to touch my equipment. Had to come back another night to see expert driller...said when they do work on bowling balls they do right and no one comes back. So slap in my face....all bowlers need adjustments, and should be treated equal. My money will be spent else where...

Toddler friendly! They don't have duck pin bowling, but they do have toddler sized bowling shoes, light weight balls, gutter guards, and colorful ramps to help kids launch balls. My 21 month old took right to it! They have a great snack bar with kids meals. The lemonaid, hot dog, and French fries were really good! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and did everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed, including a good time. I would call ahead before visiting in the day. This popular bowling alley has leagues going on many mornings and there aren't many open lanes when the leagues are around. I'd recommend this to locals with toddlers who want to have amy adventure with the kids :).

If I could rate this place a 0 , I would. They are horrible. The music is horrible, and the workers do nothing to satisfy their guests. I asked for bumpers and the guy said that he couldn't put bumpers up in our lane. I would not recommend this place, save your money. They food is expensive.

The staff was very unfriendly, food was bland but decently priced, sodas were priced high. Bowling prices weren't bad but building was very dated and bathrooms less then clean. Worst part was the staff.

Been bowling here since I was in grade school the place is kept very clean and well organized. There are plenty of balls if you don't have your own and the rental shoes are always in great shape. Prices are very economic and online you can find deals and coupons. Great selection of food and drink at snack bar as well.

I've never written a one-star review before, but the disrespect for people with disabilities that I experienced has earned one. I brought my teenaged brother who has autism here. I asked for a lane with bumpers, and the man at the front desk (based on his age, I'm guessing he was the manager or owner, but I'm not sure) refused, saying that we were too old for bumpers and that there's a 10-year-old age limit. I explained that my brother has autism, and he said, "That doesn't matter. Is he older than 10?" I was able to convince him to give us bumpers, but it was astounding to me to see such a disregard for accessibility for people with disabilities. Based on other reviews, it looks like this isn't the first time this business has refused to make simple accommodations for a person with a disability. *Note: I also noticed that the bowling area doesn't seem to be wheelchair accessible.

I absolutely love this place! During the summer, it has a free bowling game, free bowling shoes (if you're in a kids' size), a free hotdog, and a free ice cream cone if you're a student. Me and my friends love to go here in the summertime, and it's one of our favorite things to do.

I love to go bowling here, because it's pretty cheap. There is like 30 bowling lanes, a small arcade, and a little food area. It's a nice place to bowl, but the guy at the front desk is So Rude in my opinion and my family and friends opinions. Overall 4.4 star rating. Last thing is the food rating it is a A.

Been coming to this bowling alley for 3 months to take advantage of their dollar bowl nights. Can't beat the price, alley food not bad either. However, Cruella DeVille manning the front desk has much to be desired in any sort of customer service skills. If it involves work or fixing a problem you'll receive an amazing version of an eye roll, exasperated sigh of annoyance, and reluctant assistance. she's even voiced annoyance at the idea of work and wanting to have less work to do. As the person manning the counter you would expect stellar representation of the company. If this is the case, that's just too bad. Would have a 5 star review otherwise.
