I crashed into the last wall curve at the end of the track sideways the guys come running over to make sure I was okay. They thought I was done no way man I still had two more races. My neck cracked in about 30 spots. It was awesome definitely be back. Did a total of four. Best time was 36.250 seconds. Yeah mon!

R1 is a great place to go and have some fun racing a very fast electric kart, with no gas smells or smoke. Super clean track and very long. Theres a great bar and food, plus pool, axe throwing and more.They even have a 6 year old and up kart racing.

Love coming to the facility. It's fun, entertaining, and a great way for me and my adult son to spend father/son time. It's a great bonding time for us and an adrenaline rush for everyone on the track. Planning on bringing my 8 year old to the youth track soon too. Entertainment for the whole family.

It seems like a happening place. Unfortunately we werent able to enjoy the track for it being a 2.5 hour wait. The menu had a good choices of grill foods, but when you order medium to well on burgers.. It came out more medium to rare! Bun was soggy from over flow of burger juice.... Had to send back at request.

This is a great place for a party with friends and kids! But, it costs about 25$ per person (sadly) but its worth the price! This place is the best of the best! They even have bowling!

Great place for an outing with friends. The carts are fast and a lot of fun to drive. The bar/restaurant has a nice vibe as well. When we went, the lockers were non-functional (they went out of their way to help me find a place for my bag but I was a little concerned about it not being locked up). Hopefully that gets worked out quickly.

We had a great time there on Saturday night racing with family and friends. The facility is beautiful and the performance and quality of the carts are top notch. Staff was very attentive yet a little scattered at times which is understandable given the nature of Having to organize and adjust races and racers as some people don’t show up on time. Safety was also a priority to track associates which made me feel safe.

If you like to go fast and have some thrills, this is the place to go. Pricing is reasonable and the entire operation is high voltage. No walking out smelling like a gas can! They offer adult and junior racing. The adult class goes the fastest and the junior class is a more modest speed. Fun to be had for young and older alike!

It was fun but felt it was a bit overpriced. $20 to go around 7 times seemed kind of steep for a pretty basic track. We chose this because it was indoors and it was raining. It cost is $300 for 5 people to do three races. These are go karts! Some were good and others were not. The first cart had the hardest steering and the second one was easy. Same with the speed. The place was clean, staff was nice. Only three lanes to bowl and they had a party coming in so we couldn’t bowl. Went on a Wednesday and Ax throwing was closed.

Good experience but a few things to note... 1. using the sign-in machines showed previous people's phone numbers and personal information. An uncomfortable data exposure. Would recommend using the mobile app instead to avoid this issue. 2. Super fun driving experience but it is rough on the body. I had a lot of neck and back pain for several days after the event. This is certainly to be expected as the nature of the event. 3. Almost no food variations available due to the location being so quiet resulting in server and kitchen staff being minimal. Food was enjoyable though. Biggest plus of the place is the super friendly and helpful staff. 5/5 for that. Overall a VERY fun experience but expect some soreness a few days after.

Super fun! Easy going staff. Great indoor track and silent electric cars. A tad pricey but worth the fun. They zip around pretty quick. As fast as you need for the track. Any quicker and it would get dangerous.

Good fun. Track is compact but has an elevation change to spice things up. Electric karts mean no fumes in indoor facility. Staff friendly and Karts in ok condition, but some group users can be a tad too "competition oriented" for slower newcomers and will bump you (which I guess is part of the deal in a track...). Wait times short and the performance level is well suited for most people. Good place to have someone learn how to apex properly.

Awesome go-karting experience. The staff is friendly. They show urgency to any incidents/problems that occur. Also the spread of the bars, pool tables, and the sitting booths are strategically placed, so you can soak in all of the action that's going on.

My son and I had a blast..!! It was his first time driving kart and we will definitely be back very soon.. Finally something to do in the winter months.. Even tho it is still under construction, when everything is finished it will be amazing there. You can see it already..

Had an awesome time at R1 Indoor Karting last night. First time experience. Not gonna lie I was a bit nervous about the karting but everything was fine!! So much fun! Also did the axe bar and fuel restaurant. Axe throwing very different and very enjoyable, definitely something different to do. The only thing I would critique would be the prices of the activities but hey every business has to make a living right?! If you’re looking for a new fun and different activity to do in RI I highly recommend the Indoor Karting and Axe Bar at R1 Indoor Karting!!

Really fun place to go grab some food and drinks with friends then just have a ball Go-karting and getting in some Axe Throwing. The food is good to, I've never had disappointing meal there. The staff is super friendly. Been there a few times for company events, they've got a dedicated event area with some bowling alleys, pool tables and darts. If you're in the area and looking for a fun night out with friends I'd really recommend checking them out.

I had fun, but the passing rules in the intro video are confusing. Can you only pass when the blue flag is up? I never saw a blue flag . . . or any flag for that matter. The axe throwing room should change their targets more frequently. It might be more cost-effective for them to use panels instead of stump slices.

R1 helped us host a 10th birthday party for my son. What a terrific job they did! Gilbert was an amazing host, he took very good care of my family and our guests. All of the employees were very polite, respectful, and helpful. I will definitely be returning so my wife and I can have a turn riding without the kids!! Highly recommend!

Came at 9:30, 30 minutes before closing and the lady told us we can race. We watched the video then signed up then the lady rudely told us we couldn’t race after wasting 15 minutes of my time. Let 4 other people who arrived at the same time race before us. Horrible service here, would recommend new workers.

Do I really need to explain? Lol The track really tests your driving skills. The carts only go so fast, max speed is 40 mph which you don't necessarily get the chance to reach, and carts do not have power steering so work those muscles! In this location there is also a bowling alley, a few billiards tables as well as darts (party room).

My 6 year old son loved it! He had a blast driving around the course. The employees were friendly and attentive. Facility was very clean and the employees genuinely enjoyed being there so it put everyone else in a better mood since it's a place where everyone wants to be in. I overheard that they were getting a double kart! Can't wait for my husband to take our 4 year old with him!!

R1 is a fun night out if you need a new, fresh weekend activity with some friends. The karts are fun. However... -The price point is simply too high for the quick amount of time on the track. -The place is very disorganized and the employees are not very helpful. -Employees we’re not able to produce a copy of the waiver everyone is required to sign electronically, which presumably acknowledges serious risks associated with the activity. -A few races before ours, we witnessed a young female severely bleeding from the face and taken out on a stretcher as a result of some poor driving by a person who was ultimately not removed from the track. Her helmet flew off when she was t boned. Safety didn’t seemed to be as much of a priority as it should be. - The restaurant was mediocre and overpriced. Service was unimpressive for a place that wasn’t exactly packed on a Friday night. R1 has some potential, it’s a cool place with a fun product. But in its current state, management needs to realize it has some work to do if it wants repeat customers who love their experience and tell other people about it.

My team and I hosted our Annual Company outing there on 7/26/19 for a group of about 50. This was different for us from previous years so we were nervous about the change on venue location. Angie was excellent, always there to answer questions, provide suggestions, & any support. Peiter, the tech person, also phenomenal as well as all bartenders & team leaders. They allowed us to sign waivers before the day of the event for each person who either did karting or axe throwing which kept the flow of the event moving. Also, the food was amazing!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for assisting with the success of the event, oh and also keeping the music upbeat! Hoping to be back again next year!! GREAT VENUE!!!!

What an excellent experience i had with my kids today. Chelsea out waitress was amazing she gave us the bowling alley free and brought out food over and set us all up! Then the food was excellent! The go karts were amazing my son had a blast the whome crew was awesome too us and all the other patrons were very friendly. After that we went next door to end the day with video games and pizza what a fun time and great place and complex! Definitely will be going back!

Great atmosphere for sure. The karts were fast and signing up was a breeze. The staff is very welcoming and the restaurant up stairs makes out for a perfect date. The music playing was mainly classic rock in the dining area and hip hop/rap in the racing area. I definitely enjoyed my time and would recommend R1 Karting to families and couples alike.

Went here for a bachelor party in April 2018 and had a blast. Staff took care of us and our needs and were prepared to handle a large group. Worth it to sign up ahead of time and avoid the registration wait. If we had planned better we could have made a whole night here as they have a full bar, menu, and bowling alley along with the racing. Will definitely come back!

Several of my friends and I came to R1 for some drinks and Go Karting. We were all having a great time upstairs at the bar area. However the Go Kart experience was less much less satisfying. Another group rode with my group during our race. This other group of 5 DID NOT know how to drive responsibly on the karts. They constantly hit my girlfriend's kart around corners. Also at the very end when they flag you down to stop and exit, an extremely rude individual from the other group drove near full speed into the rear end of my girlfriends kart. She had to go to the hospital to treat a minor concussion. We are not happy with our experience at all. The staff saw this incident as well, and nothing was said to him except "You must use your brakes". We will not be returning. This sucks because besides this event we had a good time. Not happy

R1 is a great experience! The karts are fast while the track is even faster! With the new addition of fuel restaurant you can hang out and make a day of it. They also have a bowling alley and billiards! Check it out if you feel the need for speed, or enjoy food and drinks while overlooking the track!

This place is hit or miss. I have yet to run a complete race without them slowing us down to 3mph at least 5 times. I understand they're trying to keep people safe but sometimes it's just ridiculous. Overall, it's a nice place though

CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT THEY CHARGE YOU! Came here with a large group. 3 races = $60 The adult "licenses" for mobile were $7 and $10 for card. When it was my turn to register to pay they did not tell me which option of license to buy. So they charged me $10 for card. When I looked at my receipt the license fee was waived because we were a group. I ended up paying $80.25. Could have been 60 plus tax. Sorry, not coming back here again. Boycotting this place...nothing was "free" or "waived for group.LIES! NO REFUNDS AS WELL SO CUSTOMERS LOSE! Oh and don't sign into facebook when registering. Other than that, go kart was fun..just not the pricing.

Our host Tyler, was great at explaining the rules and making sure we (9 of us) were taking care of. Tyler made sure to go over all the rules, brought us drinks, gave us time updates(for Axe throwing) and took pictures.

Had my first experience at R1 last weekend for an office party event. It was a great experience. The venue, food, and racing was fantastic!!! The event staff and service were responsive and polite. I have been to another indoor kart racing centers in the past and R1 blows it away. Would recommend it to all ages. Can’t wait to get back there. Update: My second visit with a large party. Had a great time racing and food buffet for a corporate event couple of weeks prior so decided to book an event for my sons 18th Birthday party. His friend had a great time racing. The staff were responsive and courteous. BTW food was great too. Have to try the terrific pizzas!!

My first time ever going there and it was so much fun! A bit pricey though ($60 for 2 people, 1 race)...but it was worth it. We had a great time. The employees are a lot of fun and super nice. Place is very clean. Will definitely be going again soon!!

This is a great place to have a fun afternoon. The cars go superfast, and the track is a lot of fun. The price may seem high at first, but you will have wished you bought a second race after you finish. The only reason R1 gets four stars instead of five is because of price.

The reason why I loved this place is because it was fun. I took my girlfriend here and we had lots of fun. Despite the fact I won the race and got a record lap breaking score. I was drifting each corners like it was a movie. This would be a great place to take your significant other or to even settle a bet. "Let's take it to the tracks!!!!" If you are thinking about coming here don't think twice. There is a gym as well as a restaurant thing upstairs.. it is great!!!

I got food up at the restaurant, a ceasar salad and fried pickles, which were both tastey. And then my friend and i went down to throw axes. You read that right. Throw axes. The axe throwing is pricey. But it is legitimately fun, and a really unique experience. People looking for something new to do might enjoy this unusual passtime. I didnt do any go-karting but the track looked pretty cool, and you can watch the people on the track from the restaurant which sits above it in a windowed section.

Great experience. The track is really good, you don’t have to worry about sliding into the wall or anything. The speed is great, it randomly catches really fast speed and it gets your adrenaline running! GoKarts are super comfortable, especially for tall people, gas & brake pedals are adjustable which is great. And safety is great as well, helmets, and neck brace! Great all around. Plus the bar above!

If you're looking for a good adrenaline rush this is the police for you. Even if you don't want to go ridiculously fast they have sessions with a carts go slower and they also have carts for smaller kids as well so this is a great family event day. They're restaurant above the track was not open when I was there. As of now the restaurant is open so does a great date night too or spend time with the family grab some dinner or lunch and then hit the track

I've been to R1 karting 4 times, and loved it every time! Karts are electric, have instant torque, and are really fun to drive! Good family place as well, they've got bowling and a sports bar. It's a good place to bring people that are advanced racers, as well as those that may not be the best. Races are 20$ a person so not too bad. Wait time usually isn't too bad, but sometimes it can be an hour or so.

I went a month or two ago. It was my first time going to a indoor karting place. It was busy, but heat times were not too long of a wait. They offer a big track, heats for younger kids, heats for adults/teens, a big restaurant and bar. They offer pool, and another two events to do I believe (didn’t participate in other things they have to offer. Good was very good and the bar was great with drinks! Bartenders were wonderful. Cons: during the heats, we were often stopped due to collisions or congestion of racers. I did 3 heats that day I went and the first heat had no issues, but with the last two, I was getting hit as if it was bumper cars, the staff had to keep stopping the heats during the race, understandably for safety, but it was annoying how often it happened. Perhaps they didn’t space out the racers enough or they sent too many racers out in heats. Which I get it helps having more racers so the heats are too long of waits, but it caused some frustration.

This was an awesome electric go-kart track for adults and kids! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a really fun indoor track with a bridge and a banked turn! Did not try the food but we asked a couple of tables how the food was, they said it was good but a bit pricey. We were planning on eating at home tonight anyway though... Had we not planned on that, we would have definitely stayed to try the food because it looked and smelled sooo good. I'd love to eat there next time. Something I'd like to try next time as well is axe throwing, which is a new addition to R1.

This place is nuts not only is it really hard to use the computers especially when you have kids with you there is absolutely no help when you ask for help you get looked at with devil eyes how dare you ask I brought six kids with me we had lunch we blew over $500 great place has a lot to offer but manager needs to get their employees straight they don't want to be bothered they know better than everybody and there are absolutely no help when you rely on computers to complete your business you better have a help center or a help desk

My 2 friends and I arrived at this place at 9:30 wanting to have a fun night go karting. After getting up to the front desk the red headed worker told u to watch the safety video then sign in, after watching a 15 minute video we signed and and after we signed in she told us we couldn’t race because a group of boys who showed up at the same time as us took the last spots to race. I don’t understand why she told us to watch the video then to sign in when we did it all for nothing but to her to tell us we couldn’t race. This place has rude workers and do not suggest coming to this place :))

A whole lot of fun, a little on the pricier side of things when you consider what you pay for a 7 minute race. However, the track is in awesome condition and the electric carts get great speed. Also, the staff is actually attentive and competent.

Track is nice, but the staff on track isn't particularly attentive. Moreover who actually buys into this if you can hit a certain lap we'll turn up the karts. Why not have them turned up all the way, then turn them down if someone shows an inability to drive. Overall there are better e-karting locations in New England.

One of the best go carting places I have been too. Electric cars and go up to 35 mph - if you qualify under a certain lap speed, they can go up to 45 mph. Private rooms were pretty awesome - they had pool tables and bowling alleys in one of them. They had ax throwing and the course for the race cars was alot of fun. Lots of quick turns and hills that those cars handle very well. Looking forward to coming back.

Went on Thursday and met some local friends I haven't seen. Great time at this well organized place. We'll be back but pricing could be a little better but I guess you get what you pay for and it was worth it.

I always bring my friends down here to do some heat racing. We qualify for speed 4 which helps make the karts at their highest level. It is a fun course and they have a full restaurant upstairs that overlooks the course.

The go-karts are cool, bowling and pool tables are nice as well. Restaurant, however, was lackluster. Quality of food for the price was poor, as was the service. Waitress was inattentive and had little knowledge of the menu items. Also, they were out of a lot of things from the menu? The overall impression is that the place is visually appealing, but lacks any soul. The employees all seemed more interested in each other and their private conversations than paying attention to the customers. Though the concept is good, and the go-karts and bowling are fun, I would not go back and would not recommend it to anybody else.

The video that they have you watch before riding the carts, states that they provide lockers for your personal items, but when I asked for one, I was told that the lockers weren't working, and that I could leave my purse behind the counter!!! Really??!! I'm going to leave my purse with a complete stranger??!! I don't think they even have lockers!!! A sticker didn't print out after watching the video, as it was suppose to. I was told that wasn't working either!!! You're given all this info about the flag colors, and what each means when waved, but not one flag was ever waved, to control the flow, during any of my 3 rides!!! The staff was too busy eating and socializing to care what was going on, on the track. On top of it all, they force you into a 1 year membership in order to ride the carts!! Very poorly run!!! Do not recommend!!!

My son received a gift certificate to go to R1 for Christmas and couldn't wait to go. They did not disappoint! The wait time was reasonable for a Sunday evening. Grabbed some food when we finished. Ok food though they were short staffed so took longer than anticipated for service.

Very expensive. Karts are electric and seem to charge at different rates meaning the kart speeds are inconsistent. Sucks for when you are racing against your friends.

A few weeks back, I hosted an 80 + person event at R1 in Lincoln. My group had an EXCELLENT time and really enjoyed that they had so many options from gokarting to bowling to playing pool, or just enjoying the bar service and food. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great time and I was grateful for their commitment to our group. I recommend R1 in Lincoln to anyone considering hosting a large group there.

Awesome!!!!!! Had the pizza which is cooked over fire in a huge pizza oven and it was great! The go carts are fast for electric! It's a little expensive and wish you had more time on the track for the money spent but it was fun!!

Bought a 3 race voucher for my father to go racing together for his birthday gift. Went this past Saturday and had a blast! Awesome track setup, great karts, good quality and clean helmets, and the staff were all well organized and friendly. Highly recommended, it was a blast!! They have a seperately kids track and the kids were going wild cheering, it was pretty funny, they looked like they were having a good time. We had been to F1 Boston before and after we left when we were talking we both felt it was clearly better than F1 Boston when it came to the track and karts. The renderings of the sports bar look awesome and will really add a lot to the place, excited to visit when it is finished. As a Rhode Islander this is a great location and easy to get to. We will certainly be back!

The Axe Bar was awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful. Training was thorough and the person that helped us learn the proper throwing was a joy and stuck with us the whole time. Karting was fun as well. I did not participate in this but the group I was with said it was a blast. Would definitely recommend going as a date night or with friends.
