This Bowling Alley is classified in the category of Bowling alley.
I'm on a bowl league here. Lanes are nice. People are great and the food is wonderful.
Old dude behind the bowling counter is a prick consistently acts like the customers owe him something, really unfortunate we were forced out because he wanted to "go home" 1 hour before posted closing time .... Questionable if I'll be back to bowl On the other note the bar side of this place is bad ass and highly addictive!
Great place to bowl
Cool place to hang good prices and drinks.
It's very nice bowling place to hang around and play a few frames with family & friends.
My family and I enjoyed this bowling alley cheap games, cold beer, tasty snacks
Went as part of a kids party. It was clean, equipment was functional, and service was decent.
Great Sunday morning price. Good lanes. Only thing I could wish for is a tad more oil for the Sunday morning sessions. But I get it since leagues use up all the oil Friday and Saturday I'm sure.
Smells like a cigcar, did not try the food.
Had to keep resetting lanes. Lanes seemed to be slanted
Took our grandson bowling on Saturday at 11am. The lanes are very clean and there is plenty of staff around if you have any issues. We planned to eat lunch there as we love the Crafthouse. However, we were told that we could only get food from the snack shack as the Crafthouse kitchen wouldn't open till 4pm (although the sign at the snack shack said it opened at 12pm). The food was ok for a snack, but lacking if you're an adult wanting actual food.
Bowling Alley is amazing. Very well maintained. Staff was very attentive. The guy working the desk helped us out a lot by helping us put our names in. The snack bar was clean. Tables were clean too. Ordered some food from the Crafthouse (bar/restaurant attached to legacy) and it was awesome. Prices are good too. Will definitely be back in the future.
I came from out of town to bowl and found the lanes to be very clean and well kept. The staff was amazing as well. We had a great time and will recommend our friends to come to these lanes if they want to have fun.
Our annual Turkey bowl here is always the best time! Lanes are nice, place is clean, and staff friendly!
Had a lot of fun there great food, bowling and a few games of pool.
Had grand daughters birthday party there. Real nice place for kids party. Fairly inexpensive compared to other places. Keeps kids busy. Pizza is good and unlimited drinks. Hostess was very helpful.
Went today field trip best time of my life
Nice bowling alley just don't expect to eat. Who runs out of food on a Saturday afternoon? Probably won't go back
Have been turned away for bowling three consecutive times now. We bought the Amazon Local deal and since they have my money already, they apparently don't care about us. The "tournaments" and "leagues" that were supposed to be bowling weren't there when we walked in, and we were only told that they were "coming in." The last time we were there (12/28), we were actually told by the 17 y/o kid working there that they didn't "have any lanes available for the Amazon Local coupon." If I ever actually get to use this voucher, I'll never come here again.
Awesome!! It is a great place for the whole family. They even have a arcade!
Cool place went there for a hockey party for my team
Great place to go bowling and great food
Bar/Cigar Lounge/Bowling Alley/Arcade/Live Music/Axe Thowing
Good food!
Good deal on Sunday - $2 lanes. However, need to spread out the customers!
Fun
Today was my first day at Legacy Lanes and I loved it! The food is pretty good at concession. They even have Pink Lemonade! I love the Retro look of this place the furnishings, the carpet, and the Pittsburgh decor over the lanes is amazing! The Restaurant is also very nice. I had a great time bowling and this place is very nice. It is clean and pretty affordable. I want to go again! They even have a Pro Shop so make sure you check that out if your existing equipment needs some help. Or, if you need new equipment they will have it. Check out some trophies and other interesting goodies in the Pro Shop as well. So much to do and see here!
Nice bowling ally. Also a bar next to it with regular live acts. It can be a great day or night out for all.
My friends and I showed up to enjoy a night of bowling only to told by the old man behind the counter that although they say they close at 11 we would only get to bowl once. We were kicked out promptly after our one and only game at 9:30. Not impressed and we will not be coming back.
Fun! Awesome family time!
Kids had a blast. Great customer service.
It's alright, staff could be a bit friendlier
Nice place, friendly service. Clean bathrooms.
Very kind staff, very clean establishment.
We had a great afternoon here with our grandchildren. A fun activity for the family.
Fun
Legacy Lanes is the WORST PLACE EVER!!!! I called and made reservations to bowl and laser tag but when I got there they said it was all closed or already reserved for someone else. They lie and are untrustworthy.
Fun
Fun bowling with great little arcade
Love this place!
Good lanes and equipment. Shoddy service.
I wouldn't suggest bowling here. The pins set up only partially many times and there's no reset button to fix it. Even though their website states they're open until 10, they informed us at 7:30 that they were closing. They shut off our lanes when we only two frames left to bowl.
I've been here twice for parties and both times were very fun. The ball return is great, lanes are in very good shape, the bar is well stocked with nice attentive bartenders.
They hosted my child's field trip and were able to handle 75 kids no problem.
I enjoy bowling although I don't bowl like I used to. Today, I just came out for some fun with my nieces and nephews because one of my nieces was in from out of town. I'm happy to say that this place takes very good care of their lanes and that the experience was enjoyable for someone like me as a competitive bowler. I've been to plenty of places in the early afternoon that don't oil their lanes for open bowling, and the lanes are dry as a bone and I can't keep the ball on the lane. I thought that Legacy Lanes was excellent! Also, the gentleman in the Pro Shop we're very friendly and knowledgeable. I went into by ball cleaner and was just having some general discussions with them.
Love the night bowling
Awful no place to park. Had valet svc but they were young kids parking in the snow and ice..not a good idea
This is a great place to bowl eat good food and party with an awesome
Good time on a Friday Night. We're. Done for the season. Still haven't got my. 300 game.
Was disappointed. Bowling was okay, but mostly went for lazer tag. When we arrived, we found out that lazer tag was completely under construction. No signs or anything about it on the website.
We just had a lasertag party there for a 10 year old girl. The experience was fantastic comparatively. On a five star scale, I'd rate most teenage workers a 1 or 2. I'd rate most adults a 2. I have pretty high standards. So when I say that our teenage party coordinator (I forget her name but in case the owner is reading: long dark hair and ran our 1:30 party on Sat, May 28, 2011) was a solid 4 that means a lot. She was friendly, helpful, and extremely attentive. I never had a problem finding her when she wasn't in the room and she was quick to answer all of our questions or help when needed. I was impressed. The lasertag area was well done. Black lights gave it a surreal feel, and colored jackets for team play made it a good cooperative experience. They had plenty of sniper positions and walls set in a mazelike pattern allowing movement to play a proper role. And the fog machine gave the experience a nice touch. I've never done lasertag before so I don't know if it's normal that you sometimes have to remain on target for a few seconds for it to pickup, but on 1 out of 4 shots that was the case. The room wasn't huge, but it was more than I expected for a bowling alley. My biggest complaint is that they didn't get our names so the lasertag scorecards were mostly useless. This is too bad as it would have been a fun way to work a little discussion about math and discussions into the evening activities with the kids. Besides, my partner and I want to know who thwomped the other the most thoroughly. ;) They had some rules they were willing to bend to accommodate us, and they were pretty laid back about making sure it was a good time. Pizza was included and the kids seemed happy with it. They had candles for the cake after we forgot them, which I really appreciated. And most of the gaming and bowling area seemed clean and well taken care of. I dealt with one or two other workers there and there was a mix; some of the other teenage staff seemed singularly unimpressive, but as the staff we worked with the most were great our experience wasn't negatively impacted too much. All in all I'd recommend. There's certainly room for improvement, especially by my standards, but from what I've seen of others' expectations of businesses Legacy Lanes would be a definite five-star experience for most.
Love the all you can bowl nights
Very loud music. Could not have a conversation.
Humidity high due to no air conditioning terrible approaches
Fun local establishment. Bowl here as part of a league during the winter. Come here in the summer for 1/2 priced food and drinks... food is really good....and entertainment. Bingo on a rainy Tuesday is awesome. Don't drink too much though. It isn't your grandmother's BINGO.
Good place will be back
The overall atmosphere is great. The food from the Crafthouse is delicious and the portions are huge. The major drawback is that the lanes themselves, the pinsetters and ball returns frequently have issues. More than once, we had to wait until annother lane is finished to be moved to finish our games. Its a hassle when this happens. It adds at least an hour to two hours to the overall time to complete your series. If it were not for the frequent issues, I would have rated much higher. Also parking has become an issue with the Crafthouse blocking large portions of the already small lot for valet service, which seriously hampers parking for people who are bowling. I would recommend that if you are planning a weekend night bowling that you check the band who is playing to decide if the parking headache is worth it.
Dated decor. Balls stuck often. Modern scoreboards.
Dan was awesome! Very friendly and attentive. Remembered my name and drink selection. Clean restrooms and plenty of activities at this venue. Will definitely return! Thanks Dan!
The bowling alley is welcoming, but usually dimly lit.
Service is terrible.. waited 20 min to have the bumpers put up...go to princess lanes instead
Nice bowling alley with friendly staff. We were there really early in the day so it was empty. They have an axe throwing section!
Nice clean place.
JUST WENT. NOT OPEN. POSTED TIME 12PM OPEN ONLINE. TIME 1:38PM
loved it
Love bowling here!
Bike night, cigar bar.
It would be nice if this establishment would post league times. I wanted to give them my money but couldn’t because I showed up and leagues weren’t over till 9. Alley was empty.
Friendly staff, lanes are always in great condition, good food at the concession stand and great food at the restaurant. Lanes and resturant are great for families. They have a small arcade as well.
game froze a few times
Had a nice time here. The kids had a lot of fun. It is a little dated in the lanes, but the food was decent. Staff was very accommodating.
the staff was not very knowledgeable the website said they had laser tag when I asked the man working there about the laser tag he looked at me like I was crazy and I told him that website listed laser tag as one of the game's there and he said we've never had laser tag.
It is a very clean and nice place to visit great Lanes great restaurant and snack bar
Bowling is great, but the food and drinks are expensive. However the escape room tye in is fun.
Very nice inside. Friendly staff.
Very new and modern bowling alley. Decor is very nice, everything is very clean and modern. But they only have 24 lanes, and it does fill up with leagues and parties. It's also on the pricey side compared to other bowling alleys.
Tried to go bowling on Sunday got there @540 they said they were closed sign said till 6pm. If they want everybody out by 6 the sign should be closed @5pm.
This ENTIRE experience was terrible, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were treated like we were an inconvenience to every single person we came into contact with. My husband and I met two other couples here on a Saturday night. I called ahead to see of we could reserve a lane in their 'boutique bowling' area and I was told it was first come first serve. When we arrived, we asked how long the wait was and were told there were parties at each lane and they wouldn't be over until after 11 pm and handed a pager. We were ok to wait, since there is a restaurant, full bar, and kareoke. We had terrible waitress service, since she was working the bar and waiting tables. The food was cold, wrong, and the kitchen couldnt even make a simple turkey club sandwich (which is on the menu). We NEVER got paged for a lane, even after checking in with the front desk twice, and lanes were open. When we finally had enough of being completely ignored, we handed in our pager and thanked the person at the front desk for such terrible service, to which he rolled his eyes in my face. When I asked him if I could speak to a manager, he said he was the MANAGER! Enough said!!!! I will never waste another penny or hard earned night out at this trash filled establishment!
Went on a Thursday evening. Friendly staff. Friendly customers. Nice lanes. We'll be back.
$10.95 for a personal size dried chicken salad. Rude staff at the concession stand, eating while cooking.
The lanes are pretty good, but the approaches have been sticky a few times, especially when it's humid outside. The happy hour is great. After that, beer prices are pretty typical.
Great food! Always changing the menu to keep it fresh and good.
Wish I could do a half start
Met my future wife there. She weighs 260 but averages a 270.
fun
Food is average (not great but not bad). Pool tables have been removed. The arcade games are horrible. My daughter won 2 bikes saving the tickets at which they never replaced with new ones, I guess they never expected anyone to ever win one. No more prizes and most games have been removed. Laser tag is gone and now they have an escape room. Please tap the like button if you find this review helpful.
Staff is rude, bathrooms are not well mantained. Wanted a beverage from the cafe could not be served because stuff was under 21 had to wait for someone over 21 to show up. Tables at lanes are not cleaned after the person in front of your party is done bowling. Would not recommend
Animal friends hosts "ALLY UP" every year at Legacy lanes. I couldn't imagine a better place! Bowling, Axe throwing, pizza, beer,(Craft House) and raising money for a great cause.
Fantastic place!
The lane are nice and well functioning. The music isn't too loud. The bar it's a little expensive and the tables very close to each other but overall it's a good Alley
Lanes always in good shape for leagues. Bar has good food
Best bowling alley in the area
THEY HAVE THE BEST PRO SHOP IN PGH! !! I can hardly wait to grab my third bowling from them. ..
Fun place to go bowling
decent bowling
Neat place to bowl.
Bowling, axe throwing, Escape rooms, arcade, live music, restaurant, cigar bar. Fun things to do for everyone!
Don’t waste your time or money hours of operation mean nothing they close when they feel like it. A joke of a establishment! I’ll make sure everyone I talk to knows about this this!!!!
It was great although after HOURS of waiting for the bowling alley to have a free alley, they closed it
Food is overpriced, they charge for cover even if your not there for the live band. And if you park in the wrong spot you will towed and it's not cheap.
