1 star for the arcade area, every game had the message, "check back later" so annoying. Such a shame to see that arcade suck so much. Definitely not what is used to be. Not all the games worked and the process to get the tickets sorted is much better. Bowling is always a great pleasure and tons of fun. We had a bit of wait time but it was totally worth it. Lava lanes is always the best place to go for some family fun, the food is always good and the ambient is always vibrant.

First time going here. Didn't realize this place was so big. Lots of bowling lanes, arcade, food, bar, pool, lotto, and probably more that I did not even get to. Beer was well priced and bowling was reasonably priced. My son was able to bowl with bumpers and had a good time. Saw some people eating pizza that looked really good. Fun for all ages.

We went to the sports bar o so many TVs put up big screen TVs food was very good they even had a small screen TVs on the tables at the booth so you can watch the horse races the dining room is pretty full we watch the Belmont horse race it was terrific and watched it with two of my cousins I had a really great time

We just went to play pool and have a couple cocktails. They have3 ĺfor birthday parties receptions or just a gathering of friends. they have plenty of screens to see the football games. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive to our needs. It's a fun place overall

Huge Mahalo to Lava Lanes and their staff. We were fortunate enough to have our Employee Party here and it was above and beyond my expectations! The staff was top notch; helpful and always available. The food was out if this world...from the hot wings to the Prime Rib...you could tell someone really cared about the end product. This was going to be a 3 star review but that was just based on the bowling lanes. The business as a whole is 4 star worthy I'll start with the lanes since that is the main attraction. The lanes themself are clean and well taken care of. The score machines/monitors have no real issues and have fun themes for kids or those just looking to add a little more fun to their game. I rate the lanes only at a 3 as I'm not a fan of the material the floor is made of. For non-bowlers it's not a big deal but for the experienced bowler it's not very friendly. The boards on the approach are very sticky and can mess up your entire game. The lanes seem over oiled or incorrectly oiled. I've witnessed multiple experienced bowlers either trip because of the sticky floor or have their ball go straight to the gutter with no traction for the ball to "hook". Lava Lanes makes this up with their other amenities such as well priced and tasty food, the best arcade in the Medford area and a great sports bar. This is a great place for a family night of food, fun and drink. If you're looking for a more "classic" feel to your bowling experience, check out the other bowling alley in town.

This is not only a Bowling alley, but also has a large arcade with numerous games, an Off Track betting site and an excellent restaurant with inexpensive pricing. The restaurant may be the best kept secret in North Medford. Nice menu selection and good sized portions.

It's clean. It's well maintained. Very modern. But it's a bowling alley, so that "modern" is really just, like, mid 90's modern. They have bumper bowling. And even little "granny bowling" ramps for kids. Or adults. Who's judging, right? The arcade is all a dollar per game, but there is a section with skeeball that's only a quarter. All your tickets are digital. And associated with your gift card. So don't throw that away.

Called to ensure there would be open bowling on a Monday morning. Was advised the lanes were open. Arrived with a large (5 year old birthday party) to find the lanes were closed to a league and wouldn't be open until 1:30pm. There were literally 2 lanes being used at 12pm. Sarah, the front desk person was unapologetic and didn't care at all. Apparently there's a reason Roxy Lanes are rated slightly higher.

Lava Lanes is more than just bowling, and has gotten consistently better over time. The arcade is fun and the games are newer and changed on a frequent enough basis. All of the arcade machine are kept in good working order. The bowling lanes are very nice and I have never had an issue with any of the pin setting machines. The food has also gotten MUCH better over time. I had a taco plate recently that rivaled anything I could get at the local taco truck. The bar area is big and has plenty of room to sit and visit. They have plenty of bar games, huge TVs for watching sports and they even have off-track betting. If you are looking for a night out with friends you could do much worse, give Lava Lanes a try, even if you don't want to bowl.

Needless to say we left went to del taco and we're out in 15. I will not return to eat at lava lanes

About 7:00 pm tonight (Friday) I Lava Lanes Bowling Alley and Sports Bar in Medford, Oregon because they have off track horse betting and it's Kentucky Derby time. I usually don't bet on the horses so I wasn't aware of how they ran things. I asked the woman on the other end what time the horse betting window closed. The woman that answered said 10:00 p.m. I got there at 9:15 and the woman that ran the off track horse betting parlor told me she was closed. I told here about the earlier phone call and asked what time she closed, she said 9:15. She wouldn't let me place a bet. Then I asked her when they opened and she told me 6:45 a.m. (They open at 10:00 a.m.) Who does that? What kind of garbage do they hire?

Lava lanes has a very large selection of bowling balls, plenty of shoe sizes, lots of lanes so you will almost never not be able to play. If you are able too stay awake long enough you can participate in cosmic bowling which is when there are black lights instead of the normal lights and everything glows even the bowling balls. The food there is like a normal bowling alley food but a bit better. And the arcade has a vast selection of games to play and there is even a section meant for the younger ones. But the overall cost is a bit much just for one burger it cost roughly $10. But it is a good bowling alley and I would recommend going if your in the area and looking for a fun family event.

This place is the best if you can hold your liquor. You can have endless amounts of fun. You get bored of bowling? Go grab some beers and then keep bowling. Is that getting boring? Go play pool. Is that getting boring? Get some more alcohol. Are you a teenager and under or a square? Then go play in the arcade and get some silly putty and yoyos that in reality cost you 30 dollars!

Tonight's service was horrible. I have been going to this establishment for about a year now, fairly regularly. Tonight the waitress seemed to have a large chip on her shoulder enough that I said something to her about it. I will be going somewhere else from now on.

The girl running the till by the door in the bar by the kitchen was super disrespectful and called me an idiot because I didn't understand what she meant about where to cash a lottery ticket.. also a lady who was running the counter where you get your shoes told my wife she couldn't have my sons special drink from his doctors because it was an outside drink and not bought from them and made her throw it out and my son went hungry there till we decided to leave to get his needs met

The place is great for hanging out with friends. But when I arrived I had to wait for a while for the arcade machines to turn on, even then some machines where unable to boot up. It would be nice if the arcade had a little more games in it (especially games that give you tickets).

I've got to start out by saying that bowling has never been my first choice of activities, but my husband wrangled me into it. As bowling alleys go this place is pretty nice. I was impressed by how much work they put into keeping the place clean. Service was fast and the staff was up beat and cordial. I've been bowling a few times in my life but this was the first time that I really had fun. It definitely makes a difference when a place is well lit and your shoes don't stick to the floor, not to mention the bathrooms were clean too and that in my experience is a rarity when it comes to bowling alleys. I will definitely be going back.

We called ahead the night before to ensure there would be open bowl because I had family in from out of town. The guy I spoke with told me that there were leagues the following day but only at night. I repeated back, "so, if I'm there right after you open, we're good to go. Just not at night? " He confirmed. Fast forward to Monday morning, 45 min after opening - Sarah at the front desk says there's an hour and a half wait for bowling because half the lanes are closed for upcoming leagues. Even when I let her know that's not what the gentleman told me the night before, she unapologetically informed us there's nothing she can do. The lanes were literally empty. Shut down, lights off, everything. We were so bummed because that was THE WHOLE REASON why I called and checked. So frustrating!! Why shut down half the place for a league that isn't even there playing and then turn away paying customers?!? On top of that, give incorrect information and not do anything about it!!

My children engaged in their summer bowling program 'Kids Bowl Free'. It wasn't exactly FREE, but $3 per kid for two games of bowling was definitely worth the time and money that they spent together as siblings! I went a few times to watch and really enjoyed seeing them bond with each other and learn how to bowl
