This Bowling Alley is classified in the category of Bowling alley.
I like this bowling alley. A little smaller and more comfy than big Al's. The staff was friendly and quick with short drink and food turn around times.
Bowling is Always Fun. Super Hard to Bowl a Perfect or a 300 Game.
While family did laser tag and games. We will definitely be coming back! Think we will do the VR next.
Family fun destination. Great food, decor, and music put this location at the top of our list for family outings. Games and bowling keep the children engaged for hours. Patient and communicative coaches allow the children to grow their skills. Love the front desk and waitstaff too!
Bowling was so Amazing, really does know to run a party‼
Hubby and I always have a good time here
Made us wait 15 min at first then another 15 then another 30. Then when it came to get the bowling shoes they were not prepared.
Had a great experience Aidan, Miguel and Liam all were super helpful and were very much a big part of why i had a great time
21+ area is all I've gone to. Bar staff is always top notch. And the front desk for lanes is always friendly and helpful.
Staff was friendly, pricing was reasonable and the lanes were in good shape
Great bowling, soso pizza (better than chuckie cheese), good arcade.
Super fun place for the whole family. Lots of fun games and things to do. Unique bowling games easy to set up. Good food and nice staff made this a great evening for a company event.
Great place to go out on a Friday night. Really nice advanced arcade and lasertag. The prices can be a little high for beaverton area but they have tons of deals if you look out for them.
We had a blast and the food wasn't that bad. The little one enjoyed the arcade.
Facilities in reasonably good condition. Lanes are too close together....we had large groups on both sides of us constantly walking into our lanes and blocking us. The video games are incredibly overpriced. Everything is at least $1 per game.
Lots of fun! We had a family birthday party here and everyone had a great time. Prices were a little expensive but pretty typical of these types of bowling alleys.
Lane service from the bar and kitchen is great. Staff is always super helpful, the lanes are well kept, and the quartermania special is a bargain. Can have a bit of a wait on busy days, but that's just because how popular it is.
This was a really fun family day. I love the different themes for bowling on the screen. The service was super nice! Our 6 year old has Autism and was hyperobssesive about all of the birthday balloons he saw, so one of the employees went and got him a balloon so that he'd enjoy himself. It was really sweet. The place is clean and well laid out. It's just real pricey!
Probably the cleanest bowling alley I've ever been in. Four stars out of five because of the pricing. $28 for two players for an hour with shoe rental seems high given there are more affordable alleys in the are. Took a half hour to get drinks...so that was annoying, but the kitchen could be working out some kinks as this is a pretty new spot. Glad to see some fun, new businesses going up in the area.
Friendly staff, nice alley, great arcade...lots of fun!
I wouldn't say I like bowling. It this was really fun I went here with my brother and my dad and we had a really good time here we played bowling then we went to the arcade and we also ordered pizza best bowling place
Fantastically modern bowling alley. Staff is kind, food is pretty good for a bowling alley, and arcade is pretty cool. I also recommend the pro shop. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Great place for kids party. Lots of laughs, games, and decent beer selection.
Nice, modern, facility. Very loud, overstimulating environment. Seating is plush, however not ergonomic for conversation, or watching big screens, or the bowling. Chuckie Cheese bowling.
King Pins is fabulous for all ages. Super accommodating, decent food and drinks, and SO MUCH TO DO. Games, Bar, Laser Tag, VR, and of course....Bowling.
Wow, this place is great. Went here last weekend and today. The bowling lanes are very colorful and I also like how you can choose a scoring layout, and it shows how fast the ball goes, and other small but cool features. The arcade is great. Last weekend I went in the laser tag arena, and that was awesome, it was 2 stories and it was set up very well. Today in the arcade my cousin’s dad gave my cousin his card which had unlimited uses so we tried everything (except prize machines with electronics and things like that) and I loved the selection of games. My favorite was the air hockey.
Food was a bit expensive but the price of bowling was reasonable. They had a good pro shop and even a separate bowling area for adults over by the bar. The most fun for my youngest (8year old) was playing in the arcade. They had laser tag and even a 4 player virtual reality game for $5 a pop. Overall a really cool place to bring the family and have some fun.
We took the family to celebrate our boys going off to college. We all had a great time bowling, playing laser tag, and virtual games. I would definitely recommend this venue. The only reason I couldn't give five stars is that some of our food was over done. Although, the deep fried mac n cheese almost made up for it!
KingPins is definitely an upgrade from Sunset Lanes. Not only bowling, but a decent arcade, laser tag and decent beers on tap.
I liked it, I seen some favouritism towards the regulars. Other than that it is what you would expect.
Terrible customer service, rude nasty wait staff. I stepped 15 feet away from my table, during a meal, (to ask for to go boxes because our request 15 minutes prior had gone ignored,) and when I turned around the wait staff had thrown a bunch of garbage directly on my plates, ruining an entire untouched order. When I demanded a refund just for that one order, they denied my request. Then when I asked for a manager, I was told I was speaking to one. She wouldn't provide her name. 0/10 We will never go here again.
1st visit here was for a birthday party for my 8yo. Great experience from start to finish. Prices were reasonable, even doing a party a-la-carte. "EZ bowling" was great for the kiddos. Food was a bit spendy but decent. Excellent service and staff. Keep up the good work!
Fun place, good drinks. Service could use some work.
Great atmosphere nice place to hang out family and friends I had a good time .
Facility is fun and looks great. Good service, from the front desk to the servers. Food is surprisingly good! My family loves coming here.
Was very visually stimulating. There are options of having adult fun without the kids. The virtual reality goggles were awesome! Lil over priced to for our drinks and the wings were weak. But the service was pretty good. My guy took me there New year's day as a fun outing. Was memorable.
Sooooo fun great games I got a tv
Great place. Great atmosphere. Little pricey on food and drinks.
Very fun place. Big music videos playing over the lanes, lots of colorful lights, and when it got late enough they had cosmic bowling. Good food and drinks. The whole place was very clean. Unfortunately, there was a fairly long wait to get a lane, and the staff wasn't particularly friendly. Also, the whole experience was a bit expensive.
That one waitress, Kelsey is a great, hard worker! Super friendly.
Phil the GM is magnificent! Very good at his job and so awesome.
Had so much fun here. Made me feel like a kid again.
This place has the most amazing arcade slection!! Made a reservation for 2 lanes on a Saturday night. Prime time bowling for prime time bowling price. 5 people for $120+! Not a cheap bowling alley. They make up for it with their arcade game being mostly $1/game.
This is a fun place to meet friends for video games, laser tag, virtual reality experiences, drinks and food...and, of course, bowling. Private area for parties too (for all ages); just talk to a party planner.
Family friendly, clean. Nice atmosphere. Great beer selection and nice food.
Close to home but spendy. May not be best for young kids who have no idea how to play games. They had a great time however and i became the best gma ever!
It's an ok place to bowl. There advertising on their prices were misleading which made me want to leave. I would have if I didnt bring 5 other people with me. I probably wont be going back.
A little bougie but a good time overall I never rated it 4 stars, it's 3 because the lane malfunctioned halfway through the game and the man behind the bowling pins with the fancy hair dryer and super glue was blowing my high. Let's get that clear.
Super fun! My first visit. It was a company party and everyone had a blast. Lots to do and the bowling lanes had such fun technology. Recommend it highly for adult and family fun. Plan to go again soon!
Fun spot. Good drinks. Smooth lanes.
nice arcade and laser tag.
This is a really fun place with a lot to do for everyone. I especially enjoyed lazertagging in their dual level arena
First time here the food is Great Soo much stuff pack into the building it's amazing can't wait to try the VR I would love to bring my whole family here!
Great place who had great specials for when the kids are out of school.(Beaverton District) Also they start free bowling for kids 15 years and under in May through Sept. That is a deal in it self. Then you get their card that you pay for bowling shoes. Which pays for it self in a few days. Can't go wrong. The wait staff is great too. We where bowling and asked if a.pizza can be delivered at a certain time and it worked out!
It is a really fun new bowling alley to the area. Have also done trivia here through stumptown trivia, and that was awesome too. Overall a very good experience. Even the food is above average for a bowling alley.
Way better than Sunset Lanes ever dreamed of being, bar area is great and Tv's are perfect sports watching scene.
Nice bowling. The laser tag arena is awesome! Arcade is good.
This is one of the best bowling alleys I've ever been to. Great lanes for family and league play. Really cool, new arcade games with a really cool VR shooter game. The bar and bar side bowling lanes are great as well.
A great place for family and friends.
Prices are fair enough. Built in arcade is a nice bonus. The best is the 1-4player VR; $7 gets you a few minutes, but so worth it even on a fixed budget. However, you can't get a score card, that's a detractor.
Very nice center with helpful staff. Pinsetters rarely broke down during the weekend tournament. They also set up water stations for for every two pair. Will come again.
Great new location, all updated and fun, with the old school charm. Short wait, friendly staff and amazing food!
Clean place, good bowling lanes and equipment. Well lit place so good to bring the whole family. They also have a bunch of arcade games to play if u have to wait for a lane to become available. We had to wait 15 mins. We ordered the Cajun fries which was good when bowling. We also ordered tater tots and chicken tenders which were ok.
Great family center place. Loved the attention to details and all of the features you can chose to play bowl. Their arcade is pretty big as well and it includes a VR station game, laser tag, and other games for the whole family.
My husband and I have fun at bowling, the waitresses were sweet, our lunch was delicious. But when we check out at taphouse before our lunch at the lane, we didnt know what to do the taphouse staff were kinda uninviting our first instincts is to walk out, there was no one person at the front but we're glad that we have food at the lane before we go bowling, i was overwhelmed with the change of the bowling alley.
Great fun. Nice people!
Very attentive staff and plenty of them. Even if you're a bit young and inexperienced. That's to be expected of a new establishment. The cost for the lanes was a little more than competing establishments, but that too is to be expected from a brand new facility. All in all, we had a great time. They have a huge selection of on tap beers. There must be thirty taps or more. We will be going back.
Nice new lanes, good food and beer selection. Overall a good time. Arcade is slightly overpriced, but has some cool games. Great for company parties. I'll come back for sure.
New bowling alley with arcade and laser tag and virtual reality game. Kids love it.
What happened to just going bowling with your kids and maybe one of their friends. This place is outrageously expensive. Gone are the days when we could rotate this activity into our schedule . At Sunset Lanes we all could enjoy the outing and still spoil the servers without breaking the bank . Anyone in Portland willing to open a BOWLING ALLEY without laser tag and a massive arcade?
Updated, renovated bowling alley. Good prices, lots of drink and food options. Friendly staff. Tons of parking. Will go again soon.
Loud as you can expect at any bowling ally/arcade but laser tag and the arcade games were enjoyable.
Clean, new, lots of beer on tap. The food is good quality food you'd expect at an upper end sports bar. The downside is the games are expensive. Minimum $1 per play which is a little excessive in my opinion. Great bowling for the kids with bumpers that automatically extend if you want them to
This place is amazing. As a chef/foodie I can honestly say that the food and the care they put into presentation and flavors are 10/10. It's so worth it and the prices aren't bad at all. Definitely no regrets ordering food here and having fun while eating with friends. Can't wait to try everything on the menu!
So much fun! Grandma and grandson played and laughed. Will be back for sure
It's loud, it's bright, they have food that is awful for you. Your kids will love it. Take some aspirin.
Food, drinks, bowling, arcade. Good way to spend an evening, nice spot.
Great service, super fun and family friendly place!
What a great place for a night out with the family.
I love the energy and all of the options for fun. But bartender made THE WORST vodka martini I have ever had. I asked him to fix it and he was very nice about it but made me another...which tasted different but was equally as bad. Lots of parking...a bit overpriced at bar and restaurant. Most staff very friendly except this other bartender who never even thanks anyone or smiles. This guy makes a good drink but charges more for some reason????
Great place for families or business events. I wish they made it easier to buy bowling/token packages.
Overpriced and hardly any fun games. Lack of attendants and overly crowded.
We had a blast. Great prices.
Your wait times are ridiculous. I was told 30 minute wait. I've been waiting 45 minutes and now being told it's going to be 15 minutes more. Meanwhile half your lanes are dark and not being used at all. This is unacceptable and I will not be coming back here again. I have never once had to wait even 5 minutes for a lane at Big Al's, which charges much less than you do for a far superior experience.
This is my favorite place to go bowling. We started going there when they were still sunset lanes and the staff is super awesome!
Steller service and the staff was so nice attending to everything our group needed no matter how big or small. Love their tap house area that brings a more adult atmosphere and vibe to the place for a crowd who doesnt really want to be next to the kids
My wife and I come here each Monday for their half price game night, and encourage our friends to do the same. Can’t beat the price/fun factor, and their arcade is a great way to break up the monotony of a busy workweek. Thanks KingPins!
It's fun with family and friends. Pizza is good but not great. It has a great beer selection. And plenty of entertainment for most people! Prices seem what is average for 2018.
Nice, new place. Caution, bowling alley is very slippery! Good food, nice staff, and good options. 4 stars because the sounds and lights were migraine inducing and the staff couldn't lower the volume.
1st timer ..... took my daughter in there .. and we had a blast ...
Perfect for this area! Family fun for everyone and the prices were not over priced like other similar companies. I wish I heard about it sooner!
Great place to hang out with friends and bring the kids to. Will be going back.
This place is awesome. I went here for a company gathering and this place delivered! They made sure to have a constant flow of food, always fresh, always present. The bowling is easy to use and understand. The arcade games are perfect for kids even entertaining for the adults. It can get a little loud with all the activities going on, but the tap house off to the side allows for a nice retreat. The experience they provided definitely left a lasting impression and I'm sure our company will do this again. So much fun!
Perfect place to make a perfect weekend
The place was fun. Not too crowded. Food was 7 out of 10.
Super friendly and attentive staff. Definitely a family friendly atmosphere, but balanced with facilities and services for league bowling. Good place to socialize too
Great bowling, the Lazer tag is also pretty fun
We had a good experience with a small party for a child. Went back and the prices are a lot higher. Go to their website, they don't show the price of anything for a reason.
we are a family of 6 there is something here for everybody to enjoy. We play the laser tag games as a family and the arcade games.
Fun bowling lanes, good arcade games and decent food and drinks. Can't really go wrong :)
We just had my son’s 10th birthday there. He said it was one of the best days of his 10 years. We were treated absolutely amazing at King Pins, from the second we walked in. Our host for the party was Allie and she was a rockstar. She was patient, respectful, and worked hard to make sure we were taken care of with expert efficiency. Also the event manager Laura checked in with us periodically to make sure everything was running smoothly. If you are reading the reviews to make a decision about having a party there, I say do it, you will not be disappointed. They made my kids day, which made my year!
Good food, had a team party and the staff did very well.
I came here to celebrate my niece's 8th birthday the other day. It was honestly one of the best times ever for a place like this. I'm completely floored and I've been telling everybody about this place. The virtual reality game with the zombies? That is better than any haunted house I've ever been to. It was so scary and so real and I was screaming and laughing at the same time because I knew it wasn't real. I will definitely come back to be playing that virtual reality game. The laser tag was awesome, the video games were fun. I just really enjoyed this place some think it's a great place to bring your family into play games and have a great time and escape from reality for a bit
Great place to hang out with the kids. Just don't expect to win a ton of tickets as machines are stingy.
I took my son and his friends here for lasertag. The arena is good and they let me stay to supervise. They also have new arcade and virtual reality games. Those are cool, but quite expensive. The virtual reality rollercoaster is $5! That's more that I want to pay. All in all, a fun place for the kids.
Great service. Friendly atmosphere. The place is new and clean and defies what you would picture as a typical bowling alley. Lots of beer choices on tap. Plenty of other choices for non alcoholic drinks as well. The pretzel sticks with cheese were delicious as were the cheese sticks with their herbed coating.
Honestly, not the best experience We showed up around 1 to get something to eat. We waited about 40 mins for someone to take our order. When our waitress came up to us to check to see how we were doing I responded "well we haven't even ordered yet". She was apologetic but did say she forgot about us. Then it took almost another 30 mins to get our food. I had a salad and my finance had a burger. Both were fantastic. But not worth the wait. Waitress did comp our drinks. Then we went to bowl. We were told it was going to be about an hour for a lane even though 4-5 lanes were open at that time. So we figured we would play in the arcade. Quite a few games were out of order but we managed to blow through $25 worth of "tokens". We were still waiting to bowl but the screaming of children quickly changed our minds. I know the establishment can't be at fault for parents refusing to watch their children and let them run around like they're at a theme park. But you can only listen to high pitch screaming and getting run into so many times before you say screw it. Needless to say, we wasted about $55. We only wanted to bowl and after spending that much, didn't even get to. Big Al's is definitely better in my opinion.
This was a blast! We played almost all the games and the virtual reality was amazing! We had brunch there also and the food was great and a good price. Staff was really friendly and helpful
My family and I went there Saturday love the place clean everybody friendly pretty good food love the fries but very very pricey. We have laser tag which is very fun bowling damp arcades there and you also can have birthday parties there too. Is definitely a good place for family fun.
Good service but ok food and too.mich noise.
Fun place to visit with friends and family
Fun bowling alley, great management, good food and a pretty awesome game area!
This place is awesome. The arcade is great with VR experience and Lazer Tag. My kids had a lot of fun. We used the free kid program.
#familyfun It still seems to have that New Building smell. (Not a bad thing) Decent variety of arcade games and ticket redemption games. Their set up for laser tag is pretty cool with the base destruction concept added. They also have a cool 4 person VR laser tag. The split of both a family and adult only lane set up is also a really good idea. The only downfall I could find was the cost. Even their "specials" are expensive. For five people to bowl 2 games (w/ 4 shoe rentals) and do one round of laser tag was almost a hundred bucks. We didn't buy any drinks or food but the service staff did regularly stop by and check to see if we needed anything and bring us a new pitcher of water.
Food is good and kids will like there are so many arcade games for them. Bowling is awesome.
Love bowling here and playing arcade too... its so much fun for our family nights out.
Turned away on a Monday afternoon from Laser Quest as there is (apparently) a minimum of four required. Not mentioned on the website, which states games run every 20mins. Bad form to say the least. Update - just had an email from the general manager, updating me and apologizing for the confusion. He has addressed with the team to avoid a repeat. I’ll be updating the review one final time, once we have visited. I’m hoping it will go up to a five!!!
Had so much fun with my family
Fun times with work function bowling, great burger!
Great beer selection and happy hour. Very clean
Wonderful experience, games, bowling, good good and beverages. Superb Service
Why dont you have a barback? This bartender is working so hard to meet the needs to so many while the bar looks so dirty. Ive been in the service industry long enough to say you can have your employees on for less hours (less pay) and have more done and make customers happier. Please. PLEASE direct your employees to support a bartender, because it feels like you're putting too much on your current bartenders. Yes bowling and laser tag bring in money, but your bartenders bring in so much more money. So give them a barback.
Brand new, compete head on with Big Al. Same concept : bowling lanes, adult blowing lanes, 21+ part and a vast arcade place. The arcade part is about the same as Big Al just newer machines (because the place just opened I don't expect them to be pristine for long). The only major difference is that they have a cool VR (Virtual Reality) 4 players experience. Not 5 stars because the checkout line for gifts (after redeeming) was extremely long : it needs 2 registers!
Love this place. Great place to take the family for bowling, arcades, and later tag. The staff always takes care of us and is so nice, especially the guy that mostly refs the laser tag he is awesome and remembered me and my family when we were there for back to back birthday parties.
Just threw my daughter her 10th birthday there last weekend. All the kids and adults had a blast. Completely love our host and the staff was amazing. Worth every penny.
Nice place for the whole family but you need to arrange this a head because waiting lines are too long in some cases
We had such a great time bowling. Wish they had more variation in bowling balls. Hard to keep track of which one is yours.
Very nice and we'll kept! Staff are amazing especially this one young lady - think her name was Isabelle or something like it. Anyhow, found a USB port built into the wall there in the restaurant/bar area (against the wall underneath TV right around the corner to your right as you walk into the food/bar section) so that helps if you're phone needs to zap up - just takes a while.
Came here with family and friends. An amazing night I wont forget. Lots of things to do. All fun. I loved laser tag. Bowling. And the games. The bar was great too.
Not just for kids! My boyfriend and I had A BLAST killing zombies in TWD game, playing skeeball, and a few other games. The bowling alley looked nice, but we spent almost all our money on TWD. So much fun and I love that you can play so many games with two people -it makes the time more fun no matter what game you choose. We weren't hungry so I can't speak to the food, but we really enjoyed our evening here. Easy to get a card with money on it, and spending$20 gave you an extra $5 to play with. It's a little pricey per game, but well worth it as a date night treat. Would definitely go again!
Visited for birthday party. Service was prompt but due to crowds, only for host. Arcade and other things were popular amongst kids.
Great place for family fun. Clean, well laid out, and lots of good food. Bowling lanes in the Taphouse are great. Only drawback is that it is a little pricey depending on time of day.
I reserved a birthday party for my son's 7th birthday. Being at a bowling alley, I wasn't sure what to expect as far as amenities, but they came through with service unlike anything I ever expected. Hailee was absolutely awesome and interacted with the kids through the whole experience as well as made sure the adults were taken care of. She served our cake, lead the song, and even helped all the kids get to the arcade when bowling was done. I would definitely recommend and am sure this is not our last party at Kingpins
Did a walk through. Looks like a nice place to hang out.
So much fun with a really friendly and professional staff
Clean and geared towards families!!! Food was pretty good too!
We had a party of about 30 people. In my opinion, if you're a server, you should hover over your guests. Our server was absent for most of the party. I'd rather be asked too often how everything is instead of wondering where the server is. That being said, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I'll go again.
My son (10) loves this place; we enjoy going there; new building, and new equipment so it's pretty cool. And food is good too.
Bar side alleys should be reserved for adults only! The quality of food does not measure up to the pricing. Good service however!
Went Memorial weekend with some friends, so we had to wait two hours for a lane. Took the toddlers to the arcade for a bit and then had dinner and a beer. Played one game before bedtime with a ball ramp and bumpers that popped up just for the three year old. He won:) A good time was had by all. Food and service were also good! The veggie burger was fine but not memorable.
A fun place to bowl and enjoy a few drinks. The prices seem arbitrary from day to day but we have never had a bad time. The arcade is super fun too!
This place is great outside of the high prices for everything
Fun place for kids to play laser tag, bowl, or do arcade. Arcade games are overpriced, but the facility is clean and new, nice restaurant on site, and plenty of places for parents to relax. Not a typical bowling alley.
Great place for adults and kids.
Fun center. A center for fun.
Great atmosphere, good place for league bowling, pretty good food and drink.
Nice, but expensive. The arcade in particular is pricey. With $5 at Wunderland, my kid can play almost all the same games for an hour or more. Here, he burned through $20 in less time. Edit: up from 3 to 4 stars for the reply below. Replying with a real solution to criticism says something good about they way they manage their business.
