Great place to take your family or group for bowling. Nick the owner is very appreciative in helping you with arrangements. Bowled New Year's Eve and had a great time. Very, very affordable! Hamburgers at snack bar we're very tasty.

Went for something to do on a hot summer day with kids. The temperature in the building was 85 and it was 83 outside. When I went to the guy that works behind the counter and asked if he could adjust the temperature he said the air is on believe it or not. He showed no concern and never apologized. I will not be going back to this bowling alley and will take my money to a business that shows they care about their customer.

It's like going back in time when you walk in the front door. I took two 12 year oldS here and they had a blast. Reminds me of the bowling alleys of the late 70s and early 80s.

The guys working were extremely rude. We brought a coupon that was printed from Ingles and they refused to take it. When I went to the counter to ask for assistance because the pins weren't cleared after a bowl he rudely commented that he couldn't translate what I was saying. He then walked to our lane saw the problem and walked away without another word. We will not be returning.

Great staff, clean lanes. Was a fun time in an old school place. Nothing fancy, just a good clean bowling alley like days of old. A small arcade, a good lil diner type spot to eat with good food, fun atmosphere. Go there and enjoy :)

It was expensive and low quality. The available balls and shoes were terrible and pins rarely reset as they were supposed to. Management offered a discount rate for 3rd game and then required full price for our whole party upon our exit. Will never visit again

Our Lane kept needing to be reset as the balls would get stuck and not come back. We needed bummers because we had kids and they were reluctant to let us use them because they break easily and are expensive to repair BUT! They wouldn't allow us to have a Lane for just the children. We were asked to bowl "carefully". At the end of it all, we paid top dollar for a rundown bowling alley with little atmosphere and gruff staff.

Food is garbage. Music was terible (old old country). They proble havent bought new shoes in over a decade. If you are african american do not go here . you will be treating like absolute trash. The balls kept getting stuck. The pins would bounce into other lanes. The lanes itself just need new floor boards. Please do your self a favor and go to any other bowling ally this place is by far the worst bowling ally ive ever been to ever.and to top it off. You pay at the end and for 2 adults and a child to play 2 games. It was 76$ plus shoes. Or maybe we just got tge black price. To go with all the dirty looks

Had a great time with kids and family, but we'd have fun anywhere. I was highly surprised by how expensive it was... 2 games for 2 adults , 3 kids had 1 game... 2 coupons for 1 free game each, $44- crazy! I had my sons birthday party with 18 people and it cost around $75 in Brevard. There is no price list, they just say to pay when you finish. Pisgah lanes is where I'll head next time.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Girl at register was so rude huffing and puffing all the way to the register when we asked for money back because people in our group changed there minds about bowling their ( it was full ) and we decided to go to asheville location! The men behind her were rude ass well giving bad looks as well when we asked politely for a return do not come here !

Showed up Easter Sunday around 6pm with a large group celebrating an special occasion and they were closing early due to the Holiday. They saw our large group with lots of little kids and decided to stay open for us. Very nice and gracious people run this place. Will be back for sure. Also they play real old time country music which was awesome.

Average small town bowling alley. Old & run down. Needs a renovation. Nasty bowling balls anf shoes.

The place between the bowling alley and entry way is not clearly demarked. I myself fell and had hairline fractures in my knees. I have seen several people fall or trip this way. Asked them about premise insurance for medical pay and they simply ignored us ! We will never go back there again.

Poor experience. Pros: - Bowling was fun Cons: - poor ball selection - only accepts cash - very expensive - lanes weren’t oiled well It’s the only alley in Hendersonville, so if you absolutely feel the urge to go bowling, it’s all you got. But if you can go to another town, I wouldn’t go here.

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE FOR FAMILY FUN!! We are from out of town traveling with our 6 children. We have 4 young children and two older children with special needs and had to demand bumpers because the staff did not think that we "needed" them. The staff pointed at the younger children and said "They don't need the bumpers. Can you not share one lane." When we left, we didn't realize it was a "cash only" establishment so we had to utilize the ATM. The two staff members rudely remarked, "Now he doesn't even have cash". This is after they told us the price was $4/ game. The final price ended up to be $64. They failed to mention the price of shoes. This experience was simply horrific. The establishment left a lot to be desired as well.

This is a basic bowling alley, but the staff are helpful, and hosted my son's birthday party very graciously, given that what I thought would be 10 kids and 4 adults ended up as 24+ people. Reasonable party prices, too.

brought the kids and had a blast (they used bumpers), we got some food too that was not bad , no i take that back the chili fries sucked , but the burger was good. Staff was really nice and helpful. I couldn't find the perfect ball to win , but managed to have a good time none the less

We had our son's birthday party here and it was such a let down! We love going here to bowl with our kids but the party was not good at all. We had to wait forever to set up our stuff because a table wasn't reserved for us even though we called to schedule the party a month ahead of time. We were told that we would have 15 minutes before the party started to set up which wasn't near enough time. We had to go order our food in the middle of our party because nobody ever came to ask what the kids would like, like we were told would happen. The worst part about it was while we were cleaning up and saying goodbye to our guests, a ton of bowling tournament people came and started setting their stuff down on top of our things and complaining that everything was sticky. It was sticky when we got there. Nobody ever came and cleaned the table off from the previous party. We felt so rushed to get our things out of there. We will never have a party there again! Bowl with our kids, yes, but no parties ever again!

Staff is a little frumpy. It was about empty the night we went. Was disappointed to find that they didn't serve mixed drinks, or liquor. The bowling alley in Brevard does have that, along with a lot more food options.

It's ok for an evening out and the staff is very nice. The price list is on the wall behind the counter . Just be sure if you have your OWN shoes, let them know so you don't get charge.the price per game is $6.00.

Kids bowl free? NO. Play one game get one free coupon. NO. PLAYED TWO GAMES PAID $70. What a ripoff. Plus the machine kept breaking and the last frame one worker came through and tossed a pin down the hitter which cost my husband his last two throws. Won't be back.

Me and my family had a blast at the bowling ally. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant and the place itself was clean. Tarheel bowling is a great place to take your friends and family and I think you will really enjoy it.

I went today and it was awesome. I can't believe the reviews on here. I had a 2 year old, 12 year old, and 2 adults and we had no problems. Two games and $26. Great place

There is so much wrong with this place nowadays. It use to be decent but it's now rundown, the staff is rude and uncaring, and it's incredibly overpriced. No prices were listed and we were told it'd be $4 for a game and to pay when we were done (we were not told about shoe price rental). It cost us nearly $100 which is being ridiculous. Not to mention they only accept cash and be ready to get charged a bunch at the ATM. I'll never bring my family back. The machine on the lanes also kept getting stuck and the employees seemed bothered when asked to fix it. Not to mention the food is also way overpriced ($13+ for a "large" boxed store pizza). I'd honestly give it a zero if it was possible. We were all extremely disappointed overall.

Environment is ok at best. The guy behind the counter has a bad attitude and could care less you have a decent experience there. If your idea of fun is poor service, over pricing, no convenience cash only business with a near $3 dollar service charge to draw money from atm with an awful selection of balls that are poorly maintained and supplied as are the shoes then you should have a blast. Otherwise Don't waste your time and spend the money in another place that is better and acts like they want your business.
