The arcade is super nice. Bowling alleys are the same wow factor. Food is good but can be pricey. Continuously adding and building up a family friendly fun atmosphere. I highly recommend any night of the week.

It's got all the bells and whistles. But for the person who just wants to bowl, this place is a bit overwhelming. There are so many screens around the bowling alley that it is very distracting. For people who love arcade games more so than bowling, I guess they would enjoy Spare time. I didn't try anything on the menu. I suspect, a person could spend a lot of money easily.

I took our church youth group for a Sunday afternoon outing. The new bowling lanes are nice - great spot to bowl and watch the Panthers game. The arcade games were pretty expensive, but there was a good variety and something for everyone. The laser tag was really cool and probably the thing we enjoyed most. The game was a little short but the price was so good that we could have afforded a second game if things had not been solidly booked. We will be back!

Great place for a Sunday afternoon with the kids. Arcade, laser tag and bowling. It was also a bonus to be able to watch the game. The only downfall is that they were very short-staffed in the bar & restaurant area. There was only one bartender who was doing his best to keep up while most of the servers stood around and did not wait on those of us who were sitting at tables. We had wanted to order food but due to lack of service we did not.

Best budget friendly arcade in the area. They have popular games like walking dead, Batman and racing as well as bowling and laser tag. My favorite thing is the arcade prices they are straight forward and cheaper than the others in the area. Bowling is expensive here, BUT, it's competitive with the others in the area so be prepared to pay up especially if you come on a Friday or Saturday evening. Staff is ok parking can be hard on the weekend so try to come early

The best place for entertainment have birthday parties for my kids and it's always a great time laser tag bowling when you go there for a kid to have a birthday party they give you a free bowling pin and everybody can sign the bowling pin it's really cool!

The quality of time you will have all depends on the company you are with. This is a state of the art bowling alley with bar and arcade.... The company you are with will make it an awesome or so so. The faciliry and stuff is welcoming and friendly.

The games seem to fluctuate in price depending on when you go. Went about a month and a half ago, and they were reasonable, then went 2 weeks ago and they were crazy. They're also very rigged to lose on weekends. It's a shame because the time before, we'd fairly easily gotten a decent prize, which made our toddler quite happy, and makes us feel like you're getting your money's worth, given how most games pretty much take your money with little "fun" involved. The bowling ally is nicely done, but getting a lane is often a HUGE challenge as they have far too many league times.

Staff was very Friendly and polite. The place was very Clean and Spacious. Not over crowded. The Arcade was very fun. lots of Game choices. Bowling was fun for the kids. And Lazor tag was awesome! The Arcade is a little pricey averaging $1.25 per game and the ride on games were about $3-$5 per person. To me It would be better if they had a set price for unlimited games per hour. I could see my self coming back but only during special occasions. This is not a "i just need to get my kids out the house and play on a Saturday" type of place because it its so expensive. But i would definitely recommend this place for birthdays and events.

Went specifically to do laser tag and it was a blast! Rated 4 stars because everything is on the pricey side here. A game for two for laser tag is $16. The good arcade games are $1-$3 per play. But on Wednesdays, everything is half off, so that's a huge plus! Great place for the family!

We went for my birthday and it was fun. Our balls got stuck and it took away some of our time, so the lady gave us an extra 15 minutes. My youngest daughter bowled a strike and surprised all of us.

Huge bowling alley with plenty other activities to keep an entire group busy all night. Between the bowling, bar, arcade, laser tag, lounge areas and more there is something for everyone. Only downside is your wallet might not like you at the end of the night, but is well worth it.

My girlfriend I typically come here to go play the video games that have available. We're trying to collect as many tickets as possible so that way we can buy the fire pit that they have there. this place has so many amazing different games that you can play and some of them already even multiple players so you can compete against friends and family. The employees are always super nice and it's always a grand time spending there.

Starting with the best Escape Rooms: (5/5 stars) by far the best part of our experience at Spare Time! Excellent addition to the place. I'm pretty sure our gaming assistant's name was Xavier(?) He was absolutely awesome! We did both of the 5 minute rooms and the 60 min. Captain's Cove. I had a bit of trepidation about the 5 min rooms before we started. Wasn't sure how we'd be able to complete them in 5 mins. They were so fun though! Captain's Cove was a ton of fun, too. Probably our favorite Escape Room experience in the Charlotte area. We will be back to compete the Flight one. Feedback- it would be GREAT if we were able to swipe our card for payment instead of having to manually enter our card #. Please talk to your merchant services about giving you a swiper for the tablet. Bowling: (5/5 stars) bowling was fun. Nice lanes and screens. The balls seemed didn't seem to come right back. Sometimes they did. Sometimes they'd come back delayed and out of order. Was a bit odd. Arcade: (2/5 stars) nice array of good games. Some games were glitchy which sucked. We told the game staff that the game (crossy roads) completely froze on us and they acknowledged that it's an issue And their solution was that it eventually unfreezes and we should've waited it out. Then connect4 hoops, a game we typically love Only has 1 ball and it was stuck. It dropped 4 connect 4 pieces before we were able to get a girl over to retrieve a ball for us. I asked if it could be reset so that we could play from the beginning, we got a no and she walked away. Also, assuming he's a manager, taller, older brunette gentleman was not very customer centric. Had a few side encounters with him and he didn't really acknowledge us especially when we were letting them know about the game issue. No sorry. No hello. Not much help at all.

My kids enjoyed their time here. Pizza was described to me as being very bland so I wouldn't suggest that to anyone unless you're into that cardboard kinda thing. The games are overpriced for what you get but that was expected ($1 to $2 per play). Bowling was enjoyable for my kids. I was invited to a birthday party at this location and I would say that this was a good place for one as the environment is very loud and energetic.

Spare Time is a blast. I've gone multiple times, but only during unlimited bowling which is fairly late and not super kid heavy. If you get there pretty early you will have plenty of time to bowl for the price. I see that they have recently updated the arcade area to include more games as well. All in all, a good place for a fun/competitive date.

Great place to spend a funny time with family or friends! You can do bowling or have an awesome 3D experience in the Arcade area. My friends and I had an excellent experience here. I highly recommend this place for kids and adults. The staff is very kind too. The food is not the best, but it's ok too. I would visit this place again very soon. I had a lot of fun here!

Having held the Special Olympics of Bowling at Spare Time they get my rarely awarded 5th Star. The event was exceptional and exciting watching those boys, girls, parents, teachers, volunteers laugh and enjoying themselves at wonderful bowling alley. This place has something for everyone; cool arcade games, food, adult beverages, big tv screens, nice bowling shoes, and clean alleyways. No time to spare there get down to the newly named Strike Time and have great time.

Last time was great, this time however was terrible. Theyy gave us a beeper to wait for a leave that they never activated so we waited for nothing. The servers were not waiting on the lanes at all. They were setting in the VIP area. The bartender was the same lady that was at the front desk and didn't do the beeper correctly and she was rude and tried to tell me to go to another bar for sodas which was closed ... We left after only 1 game of bowling, paying for 2 and with half our money still on our game cards. Super disappointed.

This is quite the upgraded bowling alley. In addition to lanes, there are multiple arcade spaces, a restaurant, and a bar. The facility is spacious and clean with lots of colorful lighting. You can digitally control if you want bumpers and there are numerous ramps available to provide assistance for children or individuals with special needs. Spare Time also participates in Kids Bowl Free during the summer (must pay for shoe rental).

We attended the Lake Norman Publications “Normy” Awards party at the VIP room at Spare Time early this year and were very impressed with how nice the facility is and how great the staff is. So we booked our company Christmas party at Spare Time. Nicole Caldwell is the Event Specialist and was very helpful every step of the way. She made great recommendations and made the reservation process super easy. The VIP room is so nice and our team enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. The menu was impressive and the quality of the food came out to be even better than was expected. Very impressed and we are happy to give this 5 star review!

We have enjoyed this place the two times we have visited with family and friends. Bowling was smooth, the arcade was fun and they offered us great pizza with salad. The arcade games were okay for preschoolers to use and have loads of fun on. We had a blast during the laser tag game. We would love to visit again.

Love this place. Amazing atmosphere. Friday night musical bingo with prizes, no fee to play. This place has expanded with activities, it now has the arcade, the bowling alley, the escape rooms, and laser tag. Food and drinks are good. My all-time "go to" place to hang out whether it's with adults or the kids. Everyday of the week they have different specials.

Spare Time Huntersville is a family friendly place. I like the exciting atmosphere! The staff is friendly, and there's a lot for the kiddies to do. That includes the big kid in you as well! However, it can get a bit crowed in your bay if one has a large party of five or more. I recommend reserving 2 lanes side by side. The only problem I had was the overcooked food that we ordered that we had to send back because it was cold! Our next order was cold and overcooked as well! Overall, great fun can be had with the game room area, bowling, laser tag, and a bar where you can watch sports, as well as the food area!

This was my first visit since their remodel, and I really liked it. They made much better use of the space compared to previously. The service staff was great and the kids we took had a blast. The larger arcade was also really fun for the kids. For the grownups, their beers on tap selection was pretty good and the food wasn't too bad either.

One of the coolest bowling venues I have been to. It is more of an adult party atmosphere than a kids place, but I saw huge numbers of kids leaving that night. A huge game center, s large bar and lounge area, and there is bowling that. Is better than average.

Great place for the kids. We've attended 2 birthday parties here and they were great. I also signed up for kids bowl free in the summer and had a very pleasant experience each time ar went to bowl. My boys also enjoy the game room and the laser tag. Their virtual ride, although new, had been broken down each time we've visited. Food is a little pricey, but everything I've tried tasted good.

Spare Time is a great bowling alley. The lanes are very well kept and I've had a blast on the leagues that I have joined. I don't necessarily like that they sold the ProShop to a third party, but they are still very knowledgeable even if the prices have increased. All the veteran wait staff is on point and they keep your drink filled. The rookie wait staff is hit or miss. The food is "elevated bar food" and most everything I've tried has been good. (Try the Cajun Chicken Caesar wrap). I haven't come here for the billiards or the arcade, but both seem to be as well kept and as high quality as the lanes. I enjoy coming here every week!

Overall a great experience. Erin was our waitress and she was GREAT....especially considering how many alleys she was waiting on by herself. She was fun and happy the entire time! Karen was great to work with in setting up our group reservation. The only thing I would suggest is to work on the food a bit....I have eaten there before and it was pretty good but the burger sliders we got were very bland and dry. The pizza was OK and the tater tots were good. Would definitely do this again as a little birthday gathering but probably order food of the regular menu instead of the catering menu.
