It all started because my friend never got her wings. Complained to the waitress, she would not refund this "sweet" tea. Came in next time, the owner charged out and called me a liar until I showed him pictures. Then, his response was, "if you don't like it, don't come back". May not. there's a lot more to the story but there's only a certain amount I can post here. By the way your beer pitcher being cracked is against the health department.

My daughter took my 9 yr old here.spent $41 the games took there money but would not play.they did nothing to make this right.i called them and was told there was nothing they could do.My son was very upset..thought I would pass this on

This place is a money pit they took out all the fun stuff for little kids and their bouncy house is patched up and leaking air. All you can do here Is spend money that's it. If you like bowling well u will he fine but anything else is a money pit.. all they want is your money.

The food in Starz grill is always excellent. Bowled in planet fun a handful of times. Again excellent place to bowl. So much fun. They have an excellent arcade and a wide variety of prizes for their ticketed/points games. I have seen a couple of parties being held there and the staff handled it do well.

We went on a rainy day so we figured it was going to be packed, which the arcade area was. The arcade itself was not impressive at all and most of the games, mainly classic arcade games, did not work. The newer arcade games were always occupied by people playing over and over again. We had to wait 20+ minutes for laser tag when we were told we only had to wait 12 minutes because the group in front of us paid extra. I felt bad for the lady running laser tag because no one would cover her when they have staff pointlessly standing around. The only thing really going for this place is the bowling, which was fun and not too expensive.

What a good time, I couldn't believe there weren't more people there! My family bowled two games, had popcorn, a fruit shoot, and two bottles PBRs. The food and drink was $13.00 which seems a bit pricey to me. The price of bowling was very reasonable. The employees were very nice, the lanes had the automatic bumpers, there were several of the metal and some plastic dino ramp things for people who need them. After bowling, we played in the arcade. The games are in good repair, everything is clean and well kept. We had a really good time together there. Next time we'll check out the restaurant, bounce house, and laser tag.

I went with 12 other women for a fun night out and it was a blast. The food and service at Starz Grille were excellent - highly recommend the flatbread and burgers. The bowling was a bargain and we had a blast. Highly recommend!

This place has gone completely downhill. Lots of games are gone, the remaining ones don't all work. There is no game maintenance at all. You can still bowl, eat, and play pool. Don't bring your kids here

This was a great place to spend a day with 5 grandkids! They had a blast. I read some reviews that the games didn't work, bumper cars were closed, etc. Glad we came despite that. We found everything operational and fun. The staff is great, even let us go into laser tag and play for free with the kids. And on Mondays from 4 to 10, unlimited fun for $12 each. Can't beat it!

Planet fun is expensive. Bowling is fair and wings are good so it makes up for it but the arcade is kinda lame. They have some cool games but last time I was there they were also broken (ex. Guitar Hero machine with broken controller). Does the trick for kids just not the best.

Great place for people of all ages and perfect for family nights. You have plenty of activities to choose from....such as bowling,bumper cars,laser tag,and a lot of arcade games. They also have food and drinks (including alcohol). Employees are very friendly and helpful. Great service and entertainment for the whole family!

A good place for your teenage daughter to go get Knocked Up. I see parents constantly dropping kids off here and leaving. Is if they're being supervised by somebody which they are not. I've had my children there with me before walked into the laser tag room, and caught teens having sex in there. Yes there's a bowling alley, and video games, and stars Lounge is a cool place for adults to go hang. But I can't give this place more than two stars knowing that they cater too irresponsible parents that won't take responsibility for their children

The Saturday sweeper is poorly ran. If you dont bowl this bowling alley or buddy buddy with the so called tournament director he is going to rerate you so bad to cater to the ones who bowl here or his buddys. Kid name issac has been averaging over 200 for weeks but they have him as a 164. 100% not running a fair tournament.

This place is an odd one. It's always oddly hot in there and the bowling lanes are never working. Mine broke down like 2 times on 2 different lanes and the employees didn't seem in a rush to fix it.

A friend and myself went to accompany her daughter on her first date. While sitting outside, a group of heavily intoxicated men harassed us to the point the we had to leave. One of the gentlemen could not take no for an answer and practically chased my friend and borderline assaulted her. We did tell 2 wait staff inside & it was obvious that this was far from the first complaint about the group. We were not offered to be escorted to our vehicle and was not offered to speak with management. I called a manager from my vehicle because the same group of men were still sitting outside when we left. No one came outside to remove them or ask them to leave. I did send a message via Facebook and their response was very short and unhelpful. I requested for a manager to call me and no call has been made. So, please if you are a woman or have young daughters that come to this establishment, be cautious. This place obviously does not care about the safety or well-being of their customers.

Great food but the servers SUCK. The server watched me come in the door and let me stand there for 10 minutes. I proceeded to get a menu and made my way to the bar area to see if someone would at least say hi or acknowledge that I was there. Of course there were 2 gentleman behind the bar and they said nothing. I truly don't understand this place. The chefs are really good but someone needs to train the servers. They are awful. Always a waiting game here.

Managerment is horrible. Don't wait too long to returned food that wasn't cooked correctly, they'll says it because you waited too long to return it. Pizza was still doughy, took 20 minutes to be brought to my table after the order was place and then was told because it was a meat lovers that because I wanted so long to retain it that it probably got too Soggy. And instead of trying to make it right by refunding the money, making a new pizza, or offering something different I was told repeatedly that it was my fault and nothing was done to make the situation better. Horrible customer service is the issue with this review.

Completely dissatisfied. My wife and I had a date night (which rarely happens, if ever, since we have a 20 month old) and we purchased the 15 dollar per person bands for super sunday. The lane was not working correctly the first 15 minutes we were there and had to keep resetting pins. No one at the service desk was of any help. The pool tables have ripped material on the surface. The bowling arcade game only had one lane out of four that was functioning. The last part that just really sucked is that before I ordered a tube of Blue Moon beer, I asked if they had orange slices for the beer to which they said yes. We got the beer and they told me they were out of oranges. The manager was useless and no help on any of these occurrences. Overall, crappy place that is overpriced and poor training of employees. We will never go here again and I advise others to just spend the money doing something else or just go to Dave and Busters like we should have done instead of Planet "Fun".

Visited with my family and, to be honest, we were all very underwhelmed. A lot of the attractions were shut down and the pricing on the games seem to target impulsiveness over good entertainment value. You can easily spend a lot of money here without really having too much fun to show for it. The bowling lanes were in great shape, however.

This place is fun, but they do need to do some work on the lanes. The balls come back covered in lane oil and there were a few mechanical and scoring hiccups. They also need to get rid of the shoes that are falling apart and replace them. My shoes had pretty cracked insoles.

Positive experience today. Good service and the fish and chips on the Express menu for $7 including drink was a deal. One of our party ordered the Ceasar Salad but the chicken was so dry and stuff it was hard to tell from the croutons. Buffet varies a fair amount each week so best to check it out for yourself. A modest salad bar is also available. Generally a good place to go. Personal TVs in the booths plus numerous wall TVs so you can watch the sport of the day or tune your table TV where you desire. Attached to Planet Fun a venue for bowling and a variety of other activities. Unique in this area.

Pros: Planet Fun is basically the local hangout, a truly amazing place featuring bumper cars, mini golf, bowling and even kids bowling. There's also a variety of arcade games and if you get hungry the also serve a nice selection of food and drinks. Cons: My only reason for giving it less than 5 stars is because of the price of bowling. The flat rate for shoes is okay but the price per game is a little steep. Also the cost if food but all in all that's worth it (it's good food) so it's very worth the cost

Planet Fun is an amazing place for the family. It has modern type arcade style games, with a bowling alley, big and small. There used to be a mini golf/putt-putt area, that has been replaced with a bumper cars area. All of the arcade games are on a card, which can be purchased from the front entrance. Some nights, they have bowling competitions and are open to people who register. For anyone who remembers some of the older places inside, there is a large bouncy house, beside the entrance to the bumper cars. If you enter and go to the very back, some of the old arcade machines and props from the putt-putt can still be seen. There was once an original Star Wars X-Wing game back there. At the side, there is Starz Grill, which offer burgers, chicken, and hot dogs. Some times, Ive just had to walk out, because the service has been awful at some time. At one extent I made eye contact with one of the waiters and they downright ignored me. The food can be hit or miss, but in general its fine. Planet Fun is a arcade style place that I recommend for younger audiences and people with children, who want to have fun.

Showed up with low expectations for a run down bowling alley with crappy arcades. My friends and I were extremely surprised. We spent a rainy day here bowling and playing some great arcades! Definitely a fun rainy day spot near holden or myrtle. Pizza was decent as well. We played about $50 for 3 rounds of bowling for the 4 of us.

Planet Fun is bright and clean and has a fun upbeat atmosphere, however, many of the arcade machines were broken, and there was barely anything except for candy in the arcade prizes. The staff is nice, but very unprofessional. Could be better. The prices are very reasonable.

Almost every single game was broken. Games would cut off in the middle of playing. Worker was eating and playing on phone. Got frustrated when we would ask questions. Laser tag was broken and half of our crowd didn’t even count points. This reminded me of the dollar theater at top rated prices. Never again will I waste money here. Poor all around. I understand sometimes games won’t work properly but for over half the games to be broken/ malfunctioning and to have to deal with workers that don’t care about customers. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Loved it when it first open... but over the years it has steadily declined. Once upon a time there was a big play place for all the kids to play in but that has been long gone for a few years. The sorry excuse for a bouncy house tries to hide all the games that are no longer working. It would be nice if someone could improve this place to what it used to be or better.

Most of the arcade games did not work and were not appropriate for young children. They only had 1 bouncy house which is very small. Very upsetting considering we drove over 30 mins to get there. This place is horrible. The only good thing is the bowling. The arcade was just trash. Only half the games worked and the ones that did were either stupid or would take your money and not let you play. My boyfriend and I went and we played two games. Our card had $20 on it and after the second game we had $14. Then we went to a $5 game and swiped our card a few times after it said it didn't work. Then it declined our card because it only had $4 on it? Ridiculous. I would not recommend this place at all. Also just looked trashy.

Planet Fun was so accommodating to our exceptional children's school field trip! They gave us a great deal so my kids could afford it and when we arrived they made us feel very welcome even though we were a small group and I'm sure they did not gain much profit from our business. My boys had such a good time here. They offered midweek all-you-can-play summer specials when we went. Bowling, video games, laser tag, restaurant and bar. When we went it was not crowded, the staff was pleasant. A few games didn't work. Not sure about weekends or teens. I saw no drunks.

Half the games at the arcade were turned off or not working. One of the games advertised that you win tickets- when we were not awarded our tickets, we told the attendant. The attendant said "no, you don't win tickets". False advertising. The bowling was fun, but often did not reset the pins correctly. Prizes were way too many tickets and are absolute junk. Don't waste your money at the arcade!! If you're looking for an arcade, it's worth the drive to go to Dave and Busters in Myrtle Beach. More games, the games actually work, no false advertisement and prizes are much higher quality. Chucky Cheese is is even better than this place, if you have little kids.

Planet Fun is always a blast. Our family and kids always enjoy the fun stuff there, including Bowling, Laser Tag, and Glow-in-the-Dark Putt-Putt Mini Golf. We are excited to see the new bumper cars and play some laser tag, Kids vs. Adults style! 5 stars!

They added a new feature to pay by the hour as an option. They gave us lane 4 and each time you get a strike you had to reset the lane. And the first 4 times I didn't know where the reset was on their machine so I had to keep going to the front desk to ask for a reset. On the 5th strike the guy came out to show me. And I had to wait in line to even ask him to reset it because he was the only one working and there was a cop asking question to whom I assume in the manager so all in all bad experience this time around.

We spend lots of time at Planet Fun over the summer when our 9 grandkids visit. We always have a great time although sometimes the number of broken games can be frustrating. Kuddos on the 4th of July fireworks. Best we ever saw close-up! Will definitely go next year

The place is absolutely great. The Lazer tag is amazing! (Big 2 level course with glow in the dark black lights, and u can see the Lazer you shoot!) Nice bowling alley. Great design and plenty of balls to choose from. I have been to a old worn out bowling alley in my home town. This is actualy decent. We had two lanes with 7 people altogether and not a single mechanical problem. Go for the bowling not the video games. They are just a bonus . Some of them are ok but alot mess up and take your money and then work right the next time. As for the staff, they were short staffed i think .but the people that were there were super nice. Food and beer was good also. Pools tables are decent. If you are a "pool shark" or wanna be professional go to a pool hall not "planet fun"

Haven't been bowling in forever! Great place to go on a rainy day! You will more than likely miss the entrance, be sure to turn at the bank. The food was mediocre and took FOREVER...and I got a salad of all things. Salad was wilted by the time it came out because it clearly had been sitting near heat in the pass, while everyone else's food arrived and I sat there...waiting on a salad for far too long. Could have been an off night. But bowling was fun, all the balls were neatly organized by weight at each stand, so u could find what u need pretty easily. I plan to go back and give the food another try

Worst place ever, we went to play lazer Tag with our two boys ages 11 and 8. When we bought the tickets they never mentioned a hour wait. Two hour later we finally get called just to find out all the best aren't working and me and my husband couldn't play. After talking to a manager he gave us a refund for me and my husband but pushed it off on us for waiting so long, even tho when we purchased the tickets no one said how long of a wait it was. If I could I would give this place a 0. Your better off going the little extra drive to someplace better.

It was ok....unfortunately I guess they don't have enough help....we waited a long time to get waited on....got our drinks and then waited another long time...so we paid for our drinks and left...my granddaughter was having her bday party there...they did do an ok job there....little pricey but at least we didn't have to clean up...can't honestly say I would go back

Note: this review is not based on the bowling experience. As far as the arcade went the games were very dated and I probably would not have drove all the way from oak island. Some of the games did not work, the basketball game didn’t score, and the goal fell off the air hockey. We did not eat there and they were very understaffed. The guys working there were very nice but the place need some $$ invested to update the experience. I will not go back unless it was for bowling.

We had a great time playing poker for a great cause... The people were very friendly here and all the guest were as well ... We had friends with us and local sponsors. I was actually impressed with the food.. the beer prices were also good.. I'm not sore of the set up when it's not snowing event.. cheers!!!

As far as bowling and games, it gets 5 stars. As far as the service, that gets ONE star. Had to wait 15 minutes for a pitcher of beer while watching person after person walk away with their stuff. There was one employee walking around dancing and girating like an idiot. THAT person needs to be fired. Have been coming here for years and the service is just getting worse. Its not like it was even busy today, 10/7/18. My hope is that someone addresses these issues.
