I had such a good experience here when my Daycare took our class to bowl one morning. The owner was so polite and made sure we had everything we needed and made the whole process so stress free! We also had lunch there and they had made individual plates for my students and put their name on the plates so when I was passing them out I knew exact who got what! I was so impressed with this bowling ally! I will be returning again!

The only reason I am not giving five stars is due to the attitude of one of the workers. We had reserved six lanes for our Girl Scout troops. The bowling area was nice. It was clean and the food was great. The one lady working the front got aggravated when a girl's shoes didn't fit and we needed a new size. She got aggravated when we asked for lighter weight bowling balls. The guy working was great, but you could tell she didn't want to be bothered.

Been bowling here for 14 years, so I am pretty familiar with the place and the folks who work here. The prices are competitive (compared to other cities since this is the only bowling center in town). I always take advantage of the weekly dollar a game special as well as the summer bowl all you want for $10 special. Coupons are available online as well. I know sometimes the staff seems a bit stressed but considering how busy it can get, I can understand why they not always at their best. I read complaints about cleanliness, but frankly, it just depends. On busy summer days, with lots of kids in, the customers can leave the place messy and make it hard to keep the bowling center sparkling clean 100% all the time. I think the snack bar ladies do a good job, again especially on days and nights when they are really busy and customers are lined up at the counter. If there are any issues, I find it easy to talk with the manager or the marketing director. They have done a number of renovations in the last year or so to keep the center as modernized as possible. The only things that really bother me are other bowlers who may not be aware of the rules and etiquette involved with bowling, such as getting on the lane when someone next to you is about to bowl, causing a distraction to that person. One customer gave a one star rating because some teenagers laughed when his mother slipped--how is that the fault of the bowling establishment? Unfortunately, human nature being what it is, we tend to complain very easily.

There was a birthday party and only 1 person managing food. It was chaotic and lots of items were out (ranch dressing for salads, mini corn dogs, and lids for cups). The bowling was pretty good but I have been to alleys where they can put bumpers up or down depending on the bowler. They were unable to do that for us here and we had to wait for a second lane so the adults could bowl without bumpers. It could have been an off day, so maybe we will try again.

Went with some friends to bowl a few games. Overall service was great. They have friendly staff that are willing to help. The entrance is a bit obscured and the building can not be seen from the road, but if you pull into the 7-11 parking lot it's right behind the store. Food and drinks (including alcohol) are a bit expensive, but so is all snack bars in places like this. The price per game is high; however, you can easily get coupons that make it rather affordable.

With no competition in Winchester, Northside Lanes is what it promises to be, but no more than that. The food is okay, the atmosphere is okay, the facility is okay in appearance and repair. If you like to bowl this is a good place to go. If you are looking for a party starter destination you might be better to try someplace else.

A very nice bowling ally. I loved the lanes and had played laser bowl. Seemed clean from other bowling alleys that I’ve been in. The one thing I didn’t like was every game was a bit steep in price. Still as awesome as it was in the 90s. Tons of (off street) parking, two sides, one with the twilight bowling, lots of available bowling balls in light to heavy weights, plenty of seating for each lane, clean restrooms, great snack bar. Winchester is growing but still feels like there's not a lot to do so this bowling alley is an asset.

We always enjoy a Tuesday evening here. The people attending the lanes can be not so friendly or welcoming, like your a bother type. It's a bit crowded but it's a good time. On Tuesdays I believe it's the busiest day due to their deal where you bowl for cheap, you might have to wait longer than usual to bowl on Tuesday not overall they are ok

Overall a nice place, but difficult to find. Most of the staff seems friendly, but the man who helped my boyfriend and I was extremely rude. He said he called our names three times when a lane opened up, but never used the loud speaker and it was quite hard to hear anything over the people and music. There definitely should be more staff working on a Friday night instead of just having one person running food and one person behind the counter to oversee that everything is running smoothly.

My family and I have been bowling here for many, many years. My late grandfather bowled on a league at Northside for a very long time up until his health would no longer allow him to. His memory is with me when I bowl here. The facility will always be clean. The food is affordable and tasty, and unlike the majority of other leagues in the area, no alcohol is served, making this a family-friendly facility. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. If you want a good, safe, fun time, make Northside where you bowl. You won't regret it.

Went there this past weekend and me and some kids where playing in a lane out game was done and we tried to get another one started and we had problems. We go to the front desk to ask for some help and the ladies were rude and they seemed annoyed by the questions we were asking. All we wanted them to do was reset our lanes because we couldn’t do it from the button but they just ignored us and kept working with other people.

When I was a kid in the 1980s, my parents bowled in the Sunday night league here at Northside Lanes. Not much has changed in the 35+ years since I first came here, and that's why I love it. I take my own kids bowling here and it's a great time for the family. Inexpensive and family friendly.

Toddler friendly! They don't have duck pin bowling, but they do have toddler sized bowling shoes, light weight balls, gutter guards, and colorful ramps to help kids launch balls. My 21 month old took right to it! They have a great snack bar with kids meals. The lemonaid, hot dog, and French fries were really good! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and did everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed, including a good time. I would call ahead before visiting in the day. This popular bowling alley has leagues going on many mornings and there aren't many open lanes when the leagues are around. I'd recommend this to locals with toddlers who want to have amy adventure with the kids :).

If I could rate this place a 0 , I would. They are horrible. The music is horrible, and the workers do nothing to satisfy their guests. I asked for bumpers and the guy said that he couldn't put bumpers up in our lane. I would not recommend this place, save your money. They food is expensive.

Nice cute bowling alley. It's behind a car lot and can easily be missed. Food taste good. Always have deals going on. Fun place.

To be honest, it isn't the nicest place on the exterior. It looks rundown and dark in the parking lot; however, the entire is clean and the staff are nice. I would recommend better lighting for sure on the parking lot and around the building as it looks truly run down, but it was worth the trip. Enjoyed a great time with family there for night bowling.

I took my Family here on two different weekends, and we had a great time both times! I forgot how much fun Bowling is. This place is Kid friendly, so your 2 year old can use a launch ramp to bowl. The score keeper is nice and very easy to use. The lanes are decently prepped for all bowler capabilities. The shoe rentals are decent and comfortable. The price is right The memories are even better! Go! Bowl that perfect game!!

Great place to bowl, as you can see I always win. Just dont come on senior night because they are slammed. Other than that, amazing. If you ever need assistance the staff is always there to help. I go there with my bros a lot and it is nice for the staff to have our backs. Also, they ask what lane we want most of the times. The place itself is mostly clean. The vending machines work, and the prices are great. Biggest take away, great value. It may be in an interesting place, but it's safe and affordable.

Been coming to this bowling alley for 3 months to take advantage of their dollar bowl nights. Can't beat the price, alley food not bad either. However, Cruella DeVille manning the front desk has much to be desired in any sort of customer service skills. If it involves work or fixing a problem you'll receive an amazing version of an eye roll, exasperated sigh of annoyance, and reluctant assistance. she's even voiced annoyance at the idea of work and wanting to have less work to do. As the person manning the counter you would expect stellar representation of the company. If this is the case, that's just too bad. Would have a 5 star review otherwise.

It's what you'd expect from a bowling alley. It's nice to have one in the area. You have a choice between standard and cosmic bowling however both are equally a great time. Place is always packed with people. Alcoholic beverages and food choices available. Kid and adult friendly.
