DESCRIPTION

You will be able to see all the opinions of people who used the services and products of Frye\'s Lake Lanes (Bowling Alley) in the state of North Carolina.

At the present the firm gets a score of 3.6 stars over 5 and this score was based on 90 reviews.

You must have seen that its rating is quite good, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we may conclude that the score is quite faithful. If people have bothered to give their score when they are happy with the service, is that it works.

As you know, we do not usually bother to set scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

This Bowling Alley corresponds to the category of Bowling alley.

This bowling is fun for the family, but the time my friends and I went we were over charged. The young boy that was working said they we played 10 games when we only played 2. We ended up having to pay for the 10 games.

Tim Swanston

Old ,outdated and cheap as it should be. The worst part is we were a group of seven and it was only one other group bowling besides us and no one else in the building , staff had the nerve to ask us to put back our balls because they were busy I didn't touch one ball never heard of such a thing.

Stephanie Baker

Super cool place. Old school bowling.

Myrna Smith

Joshua Simpson

Good time with my daughter but this place has been neglected and needs some care and investment.

Love this place. Sweet vintagey vibe and very friendly people

Leigh Steavenson

So retro! Prices and the place being super quiet for a Saturday evening make up for the dingy appearance. For some reason the grill was not running, even though there was someone behind the counter and for the register (although the fact that the register chick was kissing on the guy ducked down behind the grill and not paying much attention to her counter makes me wonder if he was even an employee.) Our projector didn't work and it was interesting to tally pins instead of seeing and digitally scoring. Are the walls above the bay supposed to light up to show pins knocked down? Some of the balls were in really rough shape, but we all had fun. We'll be back.

Very cheap for what you get

This place it stuck back in 1966, which is cool. But we got charged 45$ and there was no way we played 10 or 11 games. And for that reason I'm out.

ADA TAYLOR

Nice place, clean. Older generation bowling still using paper score card. Good for family and friends hangout.

Unique

I guess it's OK if you like a old fashion bowling alley

Jacob Cooper

Absolutely phenomenal! Loved the classic look of everything. Employees were incredibly friendly. Great prices for games and shoe rentals. We will be coming back!

This place probably hasn't seen an update since it opened. But it is one of the only bowling alleys I've been to in this area where you're not having to call an employee, who doesn't know how the pinsetters work, to fix the pinsetters when they malfunction multiple times a game. In fact, I honestly can't think of the last time I've had a pinsetter malfunction during a game at Frye's. Major kudos to them for staying focused on working equipment rather than putting a shiny modern veneer on the place. Yes, you'll need to keep score yourself, which I think is a fun thing, you definitely don't see it anywhere else and it's good to learn that part of the game for yourself rather than rely on a computer. The employees have always been great, too. I usually go there during slower times, so it's always quiet, which I enjoy. If retro isn't your thing, this isn't your place, but if you want an old-fashioned day of bowling, I recommend you give Frye's a try.

The building is run down and the lanes are terrible. You have to keep your own scores and the ball selection is pretty small. This place could get a lot more business if it didn't scare people away!

Ryan Ray

My family & friends always love going to this bowling alley as it's VERY retro. The bowling alley is dated (no computer scoring and decor from the 1960's), but this is part of its charm. This is what makes this alley stand out from the rest. The prices are cheap and the staff has been friendly every time I've been there. I would recommend this alley and look forward to going back again in the future.

Really felt like I had stepped back in time here. This bowling alley still has all the furniture and fixtures from the 1960s. Even down to the carpeted walls. I actually liked it! The only thing I wish management would get the score projectors working again. All they need is to replace the bulbs and tidy up wiring. Yes you'll still need to take score by hand but would be so cool to be able to have those old school projectors working again.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent service.

Jason Patrick

Its a little old and not as nice as newer bowling lanes, but still fun none the less.

Darren Hussey

Justin Moore

Good place to take your family no alcohol involved

Ruby Hilton

Old school, very nostalgic. Place is paid off so it is super cheap per game. Score is kept on paper - so you need to know how to score if your going to be competitive. Staff is helpful and friendly. I'd bowl here over AMF any day. We went early on a Friday so it wasn't busy.

Jamesia Boyce

Wonderful place for affordable family fun. We always have a blast as a family when we go bowling here. And the staff is always polite and helpful

Guy Jackson

Mark Ford

Price is cheap but the only thing from this century was the paper towel dispenser. Also you have to wrote down your own score.

Al Dirusso

We go bowling here every time we're down in North Carolina to visit a family member. The approaches are slippery, and there are manual, 1950s machines. Very nostalgic place though, and always rewarding to visit.

Angela Tucker

Not clean, very poorly maintained and in a state of severe disrepair. Plus, it was expensive, especially given the state of the place.

Brad Barringer

Hands down my favorite bowling alley. It's retro decor but is very clean and well maintained. It's like you're stepping back into the 70s but that's what makes it stand out. We download an app to make keeping our own score a breeze. Highly recommend this place!

It looks like the 70's

Steve Harrington

The place smells like cigarettes and moth balls, the staff was INCREDIBLY rude. There's no computer score system so it's score cards that you have to fills out. You're much better off going to foxfire lanes about ten minutes away. This place in on the verge of closing it seems. As someone else said, they're stuck in 1966.

Jewel Jenkins

Old school, the way it used to be.

Jeff Hodgdon

It's one of my favorite bowling places. My kids enjoy keeping up with their scores and choosing music from the juke box.

Nice place to just bowl. Quiet, not crowded, and inexpensive. No frills but clean and functional. No complaints other than a working grill would be nice.

Very run down, warped lanes, rude staff, no music. I will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Old school bowling. No technology.

Samuel Johnston

Amazing place! Great service, everything you need and usually pretty quiet.

Rodney Lowder

Worse bowling experience ever. Played one game and left. Place is outdated, felt like I was in the Flintstones era. Spend more time keeping track of your score than you do bowling.
