Very family friendly bowling alley. They have lane bumpers for the kids, good food grill for everyone, and beer for the adults. The prices are very reasonable. We can usually bowl 5 games here for what it costs to bowl 2 at the AMC in Winston Salem.

Clean and safe home town bowling alley. The food and beer are reasonable. Saturday midnight bowling is fun and the staff is very polite. Family loves the location.

You cant really mess up bowling. Had a birthday scheduled ahead of time. The bowling was fine. When it came time to order for the birthday food they were unprepared. Other than that it was great.

I have always loved bowling here..the only complaints I would have is their systems are very outdated and you have to reset your scores or lanes several times of bowling multiple games in a row. Also the bowling ball selection seems to get smaller and.smaller as.the years pass. Love this place but it needs a serious face lift.

I wish I could give this place a zero. I've been here before normally like it. It's not super great. Just got back from a date/family night for bowling at Countryside. Understandable for there lanes to be packed but when it gets to the point your searching for balls to use and have to go all the way down by the bathroom then I finally found my boyfriend and I both a ball. I sat mine on my chair and handed him his. I turned around and the family beside of us had taken my ball. On top of that I had my friend and then I had my boyfriend also go to the table where they have song request. I was waiting over an hour for my songs to play, my boyfriends songs were played even though one of them was after my songs that still hadn't been played by the end of the night. We had about 20 minutes left and my mom, my friend and my moms fiancee started getting there shoes on but my boyfriend and I were gonna keep playing for a few more minutes. They cut off our screen with our names on it and I don't know why but just because 1 or 2 people are putting there shoes on doesn't mean it gives you the right to turn off the screen. Either way it seems like a good price for unlimited bowling but when you break it down either way they reserve the right to place 4 people in a lane say if it's just 2 people. So if you plan to go bowling here then you may want to fight for only having the people you come with in a lane or split it in 2 lanes. We barely got through 2 rounds of bowling with 5 people. Staff is rude, they had a kid, IDK if it was the staff or not but he was rude to someone saying you need to move your cup. They had it in the cup holder right beside the seat. You don't want people to have drinks there then don't have cup holders in the seats. Then you also have little kids running in front of people's lanes while they're trying to bowl. No one says anything not even the staff. I think the people beside us got so fed up with it that they left in the middle of the game. They also don't have a card reader at the snack bar apparently so you have to walk back over to the shoe rental for them to scan your card. My boyfriend also went back to bowl because he was waiting at the snack bar for our drinks so he ended up handing me his card. I was waiting for our drinks. The lady looked at me like I was trying to steal the 2 drinks. It's kind of bad when the staff makes you feel like you have to explain yourself and they are short staffed or apparently don't want to hire anyone because they had only 1 person at the snack bar. They don't play your song request, they waste the time on karaoke when no one does it. They need to have like 30 minutes for people to do karaoke. Then if you have a song and they finally play it, they end up cutting it off half way through or a quarter way through. I will not be coming back here. They need to open back up the one right in front of countryside cinema. At least that one was pretty good.

You can bowl cheaply here. Other than that, the staff is kind of... strange. They sell snacks, but when purchasing a drink, the staff kind of descended in my group and told everyone they weren't allowed to use the cupholders built into the seats, and we had to put them outside of the sitting area (near the lanes)? There are no signs or indicators that you aren't allowed to drink/eat while sitting in the bowling area. It's hard to keep an eye on what you've bought while you are bowling and all your stuff is sitting far away from you. I've also been told several different things about groups, prices, schedules and other info, depending on if I checked the website, dealt with the cashier directly, or talked to the manager. Quality of the facility is poor and very outdated, it has a very grimey "lived in" feel to it, as if it hasn't been cleaned since 1978. The food, however, is not bad. Overall, if the place and staff would just be more consistent, and if it were cleaned, and they would get rid of all the old, browned with age furnishing and update the colors to a more recent time than the 70s, it wouldn't be terrible.

Very dry lanes. Same ball returns & computers from the 90s. The snack bar was awesome but just cut way back on their serving sizes for the price. They also switched to Coke. Ugh.

Have been bowling here since I moved in October 2010. I simply love it. Established some high scores on these lanes. My only complaint is the quality of the machinery. Have been bowling there a while so I know they haven't made any improvements. Other than that, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great availability. I have the highest series at the bowling alley so of course I would love it. :)

Affordable and fun . Usually no issues. Today we called 2 hours ahead and asked if there was open bowling. A lady said it was open until 6 when leagues start. I drive 54 mins to be told at 3 that they have children's league and no open bowl til 7:30. Long drive to be given wrong info.

It was a good bowling experience for the price but the older lady up front with the rat tail hair style is extremely rude. Not happy with their customer service at all. There was a sweet man who retrieved out pin from the middle of the lane for us but the rest of the staff needs some customer service training.

Five Star Plus rating excellent bowling lanes management customer service everything I had a great time good food great food hard-working employees elementary schools in the area I say they're very excellent top of the list I have no complaints the handle the large 6th grade elementary class class with ease pretty much everything was used except for 3 so yeah it was pretty full place. Thank you Country Side lanes for making East Forsyth Middle have an enjoyable experience thank you again.

My girlfriend called around 3pm to ask if we could bring the kids to bowl after work and the female who answered the phone said that we could bowl til 6 then its leagues night. So we get off work go get kids from daycare to go bowling. We get there right at 5 only to be told by the same female that answered the phone that we could not bowl. We where very unsatisfied with that bs...we will never go there again. COUNTRYSIDE LANES HAS GONE WAY DOWN HILL...

I have only been bowling at Countryside for around two years. I use to bowl when I was a kid but have been out of it for some time. I started with a league here that bowled on Thursday and I have to say they were terrific. If they hadn't given me a great handicap they would have been in terrible shape at the end of the season. As it was I pulled them pretty far down. But the whole league was terrific. I brought my grandsons bowling this summer and the staff were terrific. We had a grand time and it is a wonderful way to spend some quality time with your family for a very reasonable price in a good atmosphere.

I was charged per game for two eight year olds to bowl when there was a rate for unlimited bowl. When I confronted the lady at the counter after the cashier in concessions she blamed me for not knowing the prices and suggested I go online and look at their website. i will not be returning there anymore besides the lanes, balls, and the entire facility is dated and not diverse at all. I felt unwelcomed. Regretted not going to Sparetime!
