The bar was quick to get drinks. The bowling was okay small and not like a traditional bowling alley and on the expensive side. $45 for an hour. The the air hockey get only half way worked. Bar tenders very courteous and quick to serve.

Worst service ever. Had to keep going to the bar to have our server come out, took 45 minutes for food. Upon leaving found our server gossiping by the front door instead of checking on guests. Would not recommend to anyone. Angry I wasted money on this pos.

NOT FOR COMPETITIVE BOWLERS! Don't bowl here with custom bowling balls or if you are looking for a league/place to practice. Just a fair warning. The place itself is nice, but it's a bar first and bowling alley second. The lanes are pretty bad and the approach is very sticky. I can see myself having a good time with friends here on a night out drinking but I cannot recommend anyone to bowl seriously here. My bowling balls chipped twice while on these lanes and its clear that the oil is replaced maybe once a week? Anyway, everything is in the dark which is cool for casual bowlers and they even have private lanes in the back for rent. I wanted to love this place because of the location but i can't. None of the staff really have any idea about bowling in general and it seems like they are trying to make this some kind of topgolf clone with the servers hovering over you asking if you'd like to order. Our server was very nice though and the staff was friendly.

Great Venue. This place has the best atmosphere for a bowling alley in Charlotte. It's a great place to hang out on the weekends. This is also my favorite place to watch UFC Pay Per Views in Charlotte. The meetup group Awesome Random Adventures hosts UFC watch parties there and it's always more fun to watch with a crowd.

Can to this place and this was the worse decision. We had to sit ourselves after standing up at the front. I had to walk over to a waitress to make our presence be known. We ordered food and after nothing for 45 minutes, someone comes over and says we don’t have any food left. We have one order of wings left???? The experience just continued to go downhill and eventually, we just decided to leave. We were even more hungry walking out the door.

I would NEVER go to such a racist establishment like this EVER again, I was turned around with my family because I had on boots! It's winter for christ sakes. I ask to speak to a manager and the security at the door tells me NO, all while he lets other people in with BOOTS but he explain theirs are a different color or style. The security wouldn't even give me his name. All this for a tourist who wanted to bowl and eat with his family. Then you look at the dress codes, its Hats must be forward No Boots No gold chains No white Tee Shirts I guess this is a nice way to say NO BLACKS…. Sorry Strike City that I ever came there. This place and EPIC whatever can…. BEAT IT! it's 2014 NOT 1960. If your scarred of black people just say it!

Great bowling experience. Arrived and was notified there was a brief wait. No problem. There's games, a bar, and a ton of TVs. After the wait, my family and I bowled. Good bowling alley, plenty of bowling balls, and enough seating to sit comfortably while waiting for your turn to bowl. Overall, good experience. The only downside to going to Strike City is if you drive and use the parking garage, Strike City will NOT validate your parking, so be prepared to drop 10s of dollars on parking alone.

This is a bowling alley in EpiCenter Uptown - it can be fun, but the alleys are not in the best shape. There is a bar on deck, which is convenient - this is a good place to go for casual drinks and bowling with friends - not for competitive bowling.

Employees wrote us down on a waiting list for a lane and then proceeded to call the two parties below us on the list before hand. We ended up not bowling at all that night and I left feeling quite disappointed. I've been there before and the service all around is extremely mediocre. Would not recommend unless you are a fan of wasting money on a place that doesn't care about its customers.

Never go to this place. I was here yesterday to watch the Ohio State football game. New to Charlotte someone told me this was the place to go. I got there at 1030. I got one of the last places to sit, it was over by the lanes. The game started and as I was watching some people came in and rented the lane. No not to bowl but to watch the game. They were late and didn't have a place to sit.So they rented the lane and then came over and told us we would have to move. Wow what low life would do something like this just because they were late. It would have been different if they were there to bowl!!! But no they were there for the same reason I was to watch a game. I didn't realize that people could be so rude. I'm new to the area coming from Ohio. Not realizing how many rude people there are in the world. But I have to say since coming down here I have realized that most must live in Charlotte. Not just this one visit to watch the game but many things. The driving around here, the crime around here, the general lack of people having respect for other humans. I'm glad to have come, but even happier I have decided to leave. I will watch the news from Ohio, it's only a matter of time before more stuff happens like it did a year ago down here. People that go to this place are rude and the management here fits right in. I recommend this place to all the people of Charlotte they will fit in, rude people seem to be everywhere here!!!!!!!! And to the rude women Saturday, I hope you get yours.

My daughter and I visited this establishment, while the staff was pleasant going in.....it all changed after payment was received. I asked for gutter gaurds and was told, you have to be a kid in order to use the guards and you have to use a 6lb ball.....Really?! Okay, my daughter falls into that category. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. How about full disclosure beforehand? Needless to say AMF is better. WILL NOT RETURN.

I went here last night for Fight Night. It was busy, and we had extremely slow service. That's not the reason for my low score. We were sitting at a table facing the TVs, and there was a partition wall in front of us. A couple (not with our party) was in front of us, and the woman asked if the gentleman with her could have a seat for a few minutes. We let him sit and within a few minutes, he threw up into a beer bucket and all over the wall and floor. It didn't take anytime for security to kick him out. However, we had to sit there for at least 20 minutes before any staff member came over with a mop. We tried to stop multiple employees who passed us, including a manager. Finally, someone brought a mop but left it for 10 minutes beside us. I was fed up and finally got up to talk to a manager up front. He assured me it would be cleaned up right away. However, it took over 30 minutes for it to be entirely cleaned. This was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. We ordered food and sitting next to throw up while I eat isn't my cup of tea. Management never came over to apologize or anything. Disgusting. I will never be back.

Ugh avoid. Cost over $50 for four people to play ONE GAME. There was a guy who worked there who stared at us the whole time looking threatening. Would have possibly bought another overpriced game had that guy not been staring a hole through us. If he had a problem idk why he didn't just talk to us, weird! Do yourself a favor, do anything other than this in the Charlotte area, there are much cooler places. If you want bowling to go the suburbs, much cheaper!!!

Nice place but fairly expensive! Everything is very clean and comfortable. The lanes are nice and it's nice that the bumpers come up only when the kids bowl. The only negative is how much you pay to bowl. Your dollar will go further elsewhere. If you don't mind it being a little pricey then it is a great place!

Called before and asked about reserving a lane and was told it was not necessary. Drove uptown with my daughter and friend to bowl before going out to dinner on her birthday. Arrived to find out the entire place is reserved for a party. Not one person was on a lane, but they still wouldn't let us play. Have 2 hours to kill before our dinner reservations. Will never go there again.

Fun atmosphere! It's in a great location being in the Epicentre. SC feels like new with the remodeling they did over the summer. Tons of TVs so you won't miss anything no matter where you're sitting.

Waiting over 5 hours for a lane is unacceptable. The place wasn't busy and we were 3 people behind on the list. I counted at least 5 parties turn in their shoes and still nothing. We left after 2 hours and finally got a call 3 hours later. Never coming back.

Strikes is a really nice bowling alley. The ball seems to glide across the floor. Despite the bar and restaurant it has a family vibe (at least in afternoon). They have sports on and even have screens at the end of the alley so you can watch a game while waiting your turn. You can also order food to your alley which is awesome. People at the front were nice and gave us recommendations for buying socks at the CVS also located in the epicenter. Not as expensive as you might think considering it’s location.

Bowling prices are reasonable per game. The seating (couch love seat) was a plus; very comfortable. There are some arcade games... some were not working during our time of visit, but the manager was very on top of that issue and gave us two $10 dollar cards for the trouble which was more than nice of her. The bartender was helpful when she was needed. We had a great time overall. We would go again.

A bowling alley located in the bustling, bar hopping and wild Epicenter in Uptown Charlotte. It has become cliche. But a cliche that never seems to get boring. Dark places illuminated by soft blue LED lights. Strike City is no exception. As you walk in you feel like you are in a laser tag arena. They did not skimp out with interior design. This is not your typical dive bar feel bowling alley. This is the bowling ally on the Mars Colony.

I've been to Strike City several times in the past however this was my first time bowling here. I came in the early afternoon for a work function. Lighting was poor meaning it was too dark for bowling at 230 in the afternoon & the lanes need to be serviced. We had to re-rack the pins every other bowler. If you're wanting practice bowling this isn't the place. It's clear based on the atmosphere people come strictly to have fun attend parties or simply hang out. League bowlers wouldn't be happy with lane conditions & lighting. Other than that the food was decent & service was good. Drinks were also reasonably priced. We ordered pizza wings nachos & tots. No complaints about any of it & the restrooms were clean. I'd recommend this place for entertaining.

The only good thing about this place were drink prices. The drinks themselves could be served better. Now I'm not one to be a drink sob, when you wanna get a good buzz on, then serve is however you can. But when you ask for a Jager Bomb or an Irish Car Bomb, then I think their respective shots should drop/bomb into the drink. In theory, that would happen if the shot was in..say...a shot glass. They served the shot is a plastic medicine cup. That makes it difficult to drink/bomb/enjoy. The shot was just floating in the pint glass. Does anyone remember Exxon Valdez? Plastic is made of oil, and oil floats. Also, one more thing. The music is so damn loud, that I can't hear myself think about how loud the music is. I understand...It tries to be classy, what with the guy in the bathroom handing you paper towels, like a posh NYC night club...but this is a bowling alley. An Alley.

Fun, clean, cool place to go and unwind. It was a bit pricier than expected, 1 game of bowling for 4 people with shoe rental was around $50. Some of the arcade games weren't functioning and dont waste your time on the claw machines. Can you say rigged? :-)

Very poor experience. We had four children with us, 4,5,6&8. 1) - We requested bumpers when we paid and checked in. I followed up four times at the front desk because our bumpers never poped up. There was always an excuse and the problem was never fixed. 2) - The restrooms were discusting (#2 in all toilets) and zero paper towels to dry out hands. 3) - We had to send the food back because it was burned (for instance the pretzels were black) not even sure how that happens. Upon departing, management did offer to provide us a gift card. I refused...still had fun with the kids, just wish this place was ran better. I know it's a bowling alley, but keep your expectations very low if you decide to go there.

I visited along with five other people on Saturday night and let me say it was horrible! The staff was unorganized, the food was terrible, and they did not have a lot of items that were on the menu. For example they were out of Salmon, salads and sweet tea. The tables were not set up with utensils and we had to ask for napkins and straws. It was like pulling teeth getting a server, I mean we were sitting there for at least 20 minutes before she asked what we wanted to drink. It was so bad that I almost did not leave a tip, and I am an advocate for tipping. The bowling was fun, but if you can avoid eating here, it would be your best bet. In a sense I feel like our experience with the food kind of put a damper on everything else.

One of the few places that I've visited that I've never been disappointed. The staff and service has been above average each and every time that I've visited this establishment. Multiple TV's that are situated for easy viewing from almost any seat that you're in. Family gatherings are a regular occurrence, whether for bowling or just enjoying the ambiance and spacious seating. You pretty much cannot go wrong when choosing this as your destination. Great place to bowl! Seating and the table area are great for large parties. The food isn't really anything great but it's good enough. If you are picky about what you then would probably eat before you go. Otherwise would definitely recommend if you are staying downtown and looking for something fun to do.
