We had our soccer team's end of year party at Showplace. We had a party room and catered food for the adults and 2 lanes for the kids all for a very reasonable price. Natalie, our party coordinator, took care of us from start to finish! I would definitely recommend Showplace to anyone looking to have a party for a team or organization.

Place is run down. No more billiards, the nice pool hall closed. Half the Arcade machines do not work. Prizes in some machines are still in there from the 90's. Comedy center never opens. Place has potential but owners apparently do not care.

i came here tonight with my boyfriend at 10:45pm and tried to get a lane which place was semi busy and the girl at counter denied us and said they are closing. the website and online says 12:00midnight so we drove 20 mins for nothing and had to cancel on the others that were meeting us there. poor business to do that to customers. will not be coming back.

A bit of a trip but it is worth it, it has an arcade and places to eat. I remember it used to have a billiards room but during my last trip it was closed. Hopefully that opens back up.

I wemt here for a school trip last fridau, and it was amazing. The place is clean, and they have multiple sizes of bals for everyone. The TVs for each lane work well and have fun pictures for the number of pins you knock down. Theres even a little Tv next to each lane to show whos im 1st and all that. The pizza is delish, super warm and fresh and chessey. The arcade was fun, which is good for 8th graders. So, if you are coming here for a school or work event, or just some family fun, you will be pleased!

Great for some evening/late night bowling! Colorful lanes with an exhilarating A/V system. Fun arcade, too. Only reason it doesn't get five stars from me is because the prices are pretty high for bowling and my lane had some technical difficulties while I was there with a friend (they didn't refund us the 15 minutes we waited for the lane to be fixed and they charge by the hour here).

The place was nice and spacious, though the bowling space that was given to us had issues with the machine where the names are entered and had to switch lanes. The next problem came with the pin's not being placed properly each time the player switch turns. Had to reach out to the table multiple time to ask for reset. Hoping they would maintain their machines regularly and so the whole family could enjoy their time out there. In general, had a fun time the ambience is nice and friendly. There is an arcade center as well to play out for every one and a bar for the adults. a fun place for the whole family.

It's a dingy entrance. Noting interesting a bowling hall, pizzeria, and arcade. The Plaza is also home to a prefabricated home sales, a gym, comedy club and fast food restaurant.

Always have a wonderful experience when going to Showplace Entertainment Center. The atmosphere is very inviting. The management and staff are professional and friendly. They have a pro shop on site as well with top quality bowling equipment. The restaurant located at the Center has fantastic food. The cleanliness of the establishment is top notch. Can’t wait to go back. This has become one of my favorite places.

Showplace Bowling Center ended a school sponsored event for special needs children an hour early due to a "tournament coming in". I stayed and let my son bowl anyway (& had to pay for what was supposed to be free). This "tournament" had their people just arriving even over an hour after the school event was ended early. Extremely disappointing that this place would cut short a children's event unnecessarily. NOT RIGHT TO DO TO CHILDREN WHO WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS EVENT! Shame on them!

A very modern bowling alley with several different "styles" of bowling. Traditional bowling is still available but called "bowling plus" and provides more statistics for each player from both a frame and game level. Pizza is pretty good too. Definitely will be bringing the family back!

We went there a couple of days ago to have a good family experience. The service was HORRIBLE! They made a mistake when we asked to play a certain amount of games. We paid over $80 and didn't even finish playing a single game. & even though they owned up to their mistake they refused to fix it.

Horrible place to have a child's party. They weren't prepared when we got there early to set up balloons and cake, and the manager was an unprofessional douche. He didn't care one bit to make the customer happy. Only 2 of the young girls working there were helpful and caring. We understand you can't give in to whatever your customer wants, but he gave us the impression that "it is what it is, take it or leave it". I easnt going to let my 5 yr old & his friends down, so he knew I had go take it. At least fake it if you're going to be in the position you're in cause people like that are just bad for business!! He put my son's 5 year old birthday party in a lightly dimmed lounge, that they use as a pathetic run down comedy club. I never approved such a party place for my child, who would?!?! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

It's a nice bowling alley, however, the bumpers don't work properly and some kids had a challenging time with it. In addition, the people in charge there didn't seem to be the nicest people and treated us rudely.

Went here once for a school fundraiser. At the time they did not have the appropriate equipment for the younger children. I have heard since they have gotten the kids bowling apparatus. The issue I had was that a couple people didn’t have pizza because they ran out, yet they paid. I think as a respectable business you get 2 extra slices and work it out with the organization later.

We had more expectations for our sons 5 year old birthday party. They showed us two decent roomes months ago. Today we had neither and were forced to: - listen to the manager demoralize two young girls. Totally lucky his staff are young girls that know no better. -had my son's 5th year old party in their dark and sad excuse of a comedy club.... -Classie manager could give 2 sh!ts if you complain and your left with zero options. I hope I see you again you POS. -$900 for sh!ty food, dump of a kids venue and dark hole in the wall. Listen, it's not all bad the young staff try their best and now I know, where to have a bachelor party or where to film my next Corp HR compliance manger training video. I only pray my son and all his guests forget today... I sadly won't and today left a brain stain for life.... If you don't agree with my review that because you had one of the two REAL party rooms.. not the sh!ty dark room that needs/ screams insurance job.

My friends and I went on a Friday night to go bowling and we arrived at about 8:45. We went up to the front desk and they said we had to wait until about 9:30 for a lane so we said okay and we ate food and waiting. At 9:40 we went back and they told us to wait and they kept us waiting without any feedback u til 10:15 until they told us to go home because no lanes were open. They were extremely rude to my friends and I and handled the situation horribly. They gave about 3 groups that came after us a lane and not us. Defiantly won’t be going back and you shouldn’t want to go either. Not the first time I’ve had a bad experience there.

Fun place for bowling, I went there 2 days in a row to buy pizza and the first day I bought the BBQ pizza that they sell, they only had 2 slices left so I purchase 1 of the 2. The next day I went back they had the same slice from the day b4 YUCK! can u just imagine how long they had those 2 slices b4 I purchase one smh and then the guy serving the pizza had no gloves on (used a spactular for the first two but the 3rd NOPE!) and he was also handling the money as well REALLY!! Then when I confronted him about it, he's telling me he wasn't trained that way WOW. If that's the case one should handle the money and someone else serves the pizza. He was probably picking his nose are scratching his balls b4 I got there smh.

I went twice with my family and had a great time. The place was clean and very well kept. The first time we went, my 5 year old daughter was able to use the little slide that kids use to throw the ball since she can carry it but not swing it with one arm. For her it was a blast. The second time we went that very same week we asked the employee for the slide and she didn't allow us to use it because she said it was "reserved for Birthday parties only". I though it was absurd since I've been to plenty of bowling alleys and never heard of such a thing, specially that no one was using them. It was way harder for my daughter to play, I had to help her throw the ball by pushing it on the floor. Other than that, overall the place was nice and we had fun.

Trash arcade decent bowling Games are old and falling apart. They eat the coins and never dispense tickets. The poor boy behind the game counter is sweet and very accommodating. He needs 8 arms to help everyone at once.

Great atmosphere, great lanes, great pizza. Showplace Is an awesome place to bowl.the lanes are kept in great condition, the staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable. An hour of bowling cost $28 for the lane on a weekend,$5 for shoe rental, and a pie costs about $14.

Lanes are ok, but if your at the end lanes near the door you might smell cigarettes smoke since people are smoking. Most of the workers are nice.

This alley is okay, the lanes seem to break down regularly, and the prices are a bit high given the quality. Unfortunately, there aren't many other options on Staten Island, with Rabs being the only other choice, but quite far away from many people. Overall I'd say come here when they have a special on Tuesday nights or weekend mornings, otherwise it's a rip-off.

Sooo the balls here are back from the stone ages. If you’re like me and have big hands !! FORGET about bowling comfortable here. There are no accommodations for people with large hangs and forget about someone trying to help you. Your on your own. ( with the time spinning ) and you pay by the hour so during that hour you have to deal with your lane freezing and the ball you rolled down the ally !! Doesn’t come back up the shoot..

We got married at Grand Oaks on Saturday June 29th and our hotel for the out of town guests was the Fairfield Inn that is across the parking lot. After pricing out several dinner locations, nothing made logistical sense for a welcome party of about 50 people. So we took a chance and had our wedding welcome dinner on Friday night at Showplace. It was the best decision EVER. Our guests had so much fun! And it was a great way for people to mingle since everyone was bowling so you didn't get "stuck" in a conversation. Everyone got a chance to meet each other. The staff was absolutely great! So helpful and really, really nice. And the food was AMAZING! We didn't have high expectations for bowling alley food but this was legitimately really good. All our guests raved about it. And we worked out a an open bar package with the staff beforehand which was all very reasonably priced. I would 100% do another party here. And any future brides out there looking for a unique idea for welcome parties, definitely give Showplace a shot. We can't thank them enough for making our wedding so special!!

Decent bowling lanes, arcade and birthday party rooms. Has seen better days but a good dose of old school fun. Lanes set up for little ones with bumpers and lightweight bowling balls. Pizzeria provides greasy food options. Arcade has classics including skee- ball, various shoot-em-ups, whack-a-gator and more. Birthday party rooms provide separation but lack air flow.

The staff was helpful and responded rather rapidly when we had issues while bowling. I took two stars away because they only have one slide for younger kids to use while bowling so we had to wait for a family to finish using it before our kids could use it. Also, their arcade is old and rundown. Most of the machines ate our tokens and then we had to wait for the sole girl who was overseeing the arcade and counting tickets and helping the patrons pick out their prizes to finally come over and try to fix the machines or offer our money back. They should have more staff working on a Saturday night.
