It has a game area plays music and many lanes
Hi melody lanes last year my teacher told my class that we were going on a bowling trip. We were all excited even though we never bowled before. After going on the trip all of us had a really good time. We had so much fun that one of the fourth grade teachers, {now fifth grade} decided to let us go again. Everyone was so excited. We are going on October 17. Im so excited!!! From a PS69K Student!
Cool place to hang and bring the kids
Most of the time it's crowded. Call ahead of time since waiting time could be 2 hours. Has bar, arcade, and fast food.
Very nice lanes and bar
Great place for kids
Great lanes my team always competes here ty guys
Cheap prices and amazing experience.
Great place to bowl fun atmosphereand music videos. They have nice food and drinks. Def would come back
Good bowling place. Very nice people.
The price is definitely reasonable It's a good place just to go take your kids bowl and hang out for a while
The worst place... you can’t order anything... they just say “wait 20 minutes” or “you have to wait after clean”.
I had a party and with my office and everything went well I was satisfied with the staff and how big the bowling alley was. The staff were professional and friendly. We had so much fun at our party. Pricing were really reasonable, thanks for making our experience fun.
A ton of fun. Many lanes to bowl from and everyone enjoyed themselves. I would come back here again easily.
love the place and staff is great.
This place is very good and I Love the Yummy food that you want
Extremely run down and over priced
Great local bowling place!
It's a decent bowling place. It's not the nicest but it's one of the few bowling places in Brooklyn.
Nice clean bowling alley fit for any age! Bathroom is pretty clean , food is good too. They have certain specials through out the week as well
Great local family fun
Such a nice place to bowl....great vibe even though the food is really expensive like 1 small fries is $3:50. So wouldn't recommend you eating here but the bowling alley is really cool!!
One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Staff are so unprofessional and the manager too. The machine went down and the technician support took 20 mins to fix it. The manager didn’t accept to give our time back, she lost many customers!! Word of advice you don’t want to go there. There are tons of places to enjoy and be respected.
I Came here with my family to bowl and and we definitely had so much fun! This place is huge and has good food and beverages selections for you while you bowl. Everything was fairly priced and we were happy with that. Also the whole staff was cool.
One of the best places I have ever went to. A great Bowling alley. Not too cold but not to hot either.
Brooklyn needs another bowling alley ASAP! This place is absolutely terrible. The woman at the counter is so rude to everyone! Lanes are constantly out of sync and when you "dare" to ask them to fix it you get yelled at by her. Super expensive over the weekend. It'll run you $45/hr plus rental of shoes per person... now account the time you waste getting those lanes in sync. I ate the food once there. NEVER AGAIN.
im very big on bowling, and this is the spot to go. close to the neighborhood and very affordable
We took 15 students here on a field trip. Facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and assisted with setting us up.
The front desk lady was very rude. And very inconsiderate. I had had my two young boys and she was not accommodating. She seemed irritated by our presence. She was dismissive and it put a damper on the evening. My family and I will not be returning.
The place made me and a bunch of my buddies feel younger than we are... We all left smiling
Inexpensive bowling.. great music.. fun time
Always a great time here just get there early it's gets busy at night
Disappointed ... Place was okay ... Workers were a bit rude and unhelpful ... They refused to put on the bumpers for the lanes :(
Fun place, a bit overpriced though
If you want to bowl in sunset you come here, food and good family fun, a pro shop and great deals all week long.
Eh cool but ghetto lol. I still had fun even with all the antics
Very old hardware and took longer waiting for pins to line up than actually bowling
Nice staff little noisy but what bowling alley isnt
One of the last and oldeat Bastions of bowling. After they closed Maple and Mark Lanes this is the last of the once great south brooklyn bowling alleys.
Love this place! Went for my birthday last year and had an amazing time. The drinks are fab, the games are fun, and the atmosphere is really nice. Good spot for a date or small party!
It was a fun time evrything worked fine and everyone working in the place was nice
Sometimes on Fridays we go here after work. not a bad place for inconspicuous bachelors like me
This is a really nice gem in the neighborhood. The lanes are clean and the crowd is alright. Prices are fair and the drinks were good too. The bartender may wander around though so just be sure someone can take you turn when you run out to the well.
I never had so much fun in my life. But I never went bowling. It was the first time bowling ever. I had a Blast
Nice I LiKE
I love the atmosphere certain security guards don’t make you feel safe/disrespectful.
service wasnt to great and there food was kinda bad, the bowling place itself was average (only reason it dosent have a 2)
Great place to bowl and have fun
Awesome place. The nicest staff. New state of the art equipment.
Great place to have fun good prices. Bowling good atmosphere
Great place but the only thing is they needed to update the place. They need new balls and may a few update around the place. Other than that it’s a environment is great.
Truly an establishment. This is where my parents met and I literally owe my life to this place. Still going strong!
Great place for a drinks with friends and fun night bowling. Very reasonably priced and great specials depending on the day.
Medium sized location with friendly owner. Came with a group of 4 and we were ready to start bowling within 15 minutes. Lanes were nice and easy to use for beginners but it could have definitely been easier to understand. Food and arcade area was nice but seemed like an afterthought to the main attraction, which is perfectly understandable. Can be somewhat pricey but is well worth it for a good tome. Would recommend, but be wary of some rowdy kids, otherwise everyone usually keeps to their own lane.
Average bowling alley. Not too expensive. About 8 bucks a game. About 4 bucks for shoe rental. They could use better balls. My fingers never fit one ball
We had a great time, however lane 1 doesn't have a table for food.
Great place for fun! Simple, but has everything you will need. Friendly stuff and shiny lanes, just come and roll the ball!
Good environment, food is pretty good. Wonderful spot to take family and friends.
A bit run down and out dated but it’s ok to bowl
We had our kid's bowling party here, but overall this is the only bowling place I go to in NYC. It's a regular alley. Nothing fancy, which is how it should be
We always have a good time at Melody Lanes. Music was great
Great experience for the family. Bowling and having fun. Clean place to eat
Needs to upgrade food vending area, otherwise I like the family atmosphere.
The wait can be long on a weekend night but just head right over to the bar for a few beers and it's worth the wait. The bartender is a friendly older man and he makes the time fly by. The woman in the front in charge of the bowling was very friendly and sweet. To get food was confusing though seemed like the lady in charge of the food part didn't really want to be bothered or was over whelmed so we wound up not ordering anything but besides that I would deff come back for a few beers and to bowl.
Beautiful People with a great establishment
The bartender here is a true gem and a cinephile
Good place to go bowling, nothing exceptional. Place is clean and staff is helpful and available to answer questions.
Had a friend who worked here, please pay your workers an actual livable wage.
Bowling on the DARK SIDE. Cool spot. Drinks, and people were great. This is for physical activity. Good meeting place, better for couples. Get your size right, bowl like a pro, or just have fun and drink
It's a good place
A great place to go with the kids and also for birthdays!!! Very neighborhood spot to go!! Very good prices and so much fun I love bowling also have a food court and a bar for when you don’t want to bring the kids excellent draft prices and there lemon drops are surprisingly tasty
Went on a Saturday night and this place gets packed. $ 22 bowling special must be the attraction and it is a good deal. Wait time varies so be prepared. Didnt try the food but like there is a vending machine that you can get socks from. There is a bar with TV sets to watch the football games if you dont want to bowl. The music was very diverse and love it when the lights go out.
Very nice service. Bartender was on point. Old guy with grey hair...
Popular and beautiful number 1 hope you live 120
Old school place but pretty decent. Food was ok but very pricey!!
Best bowling place for a party. kinda overpriced though!
They lady at the front desk is VERY RUDE!! She told us there was a 40 minute wait and we really wanted to play so we waited. 2 hour after still nothing. Every time we ask how much longer she kept saying 15 minutes, but nothing. We just left that place. Avoid it if posible.
Good place for family and bowling bar nice add on food okay
Classic bowling alley. Cheap fun and beer, food I wouldn't touch and perfectly attentive yet crass staff. All that to say it's perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. So happy to live close by. Will visit again with my buds.
Had fun bowling. Regular bowling alley with specials on the weekends and some weekdays. Only thing I didn't like is my friends and I went to the kitchen to order food and they ignored us for 20 minutes then said the kitchen was closed smh. Good thing there's a 24 hr McDonald's up the block
The floor is to waxed & some of the people is very rude.. But everything else was good
Lots of lanes. Some sorta food counter. (Where you can't get ice, even if you pay for it). A bar. Not very professional staff. But friendly if you're friendly to them. Some arcade games. The lanes are old. Some don't work so well. But good enough for a wholesome outing.
Fun, but it was hot in there.
I politely called to ask about wait times and the woman who took my call yelled at me, saying "there's an hours wait". I then tried to ask her about reservations and she continued to yell at me. She was so loud my roommate could hear her.
There's a place for everyone a gaming place bathrooms the ally of course a bar hang out spots tons of things to do
Came here for a surprise party for my good friend Jimmy on his 25th birthday. It was a weeknight so the only other people there were some ultra-orthodox Lubavitchers who happened to be bowling prodigies. They hurled their marmoreal orbs with preternatural strength. The pitchers of beer were cheap. The cantankerous fellow behind the bar was like a character out of a Coen brothers film with sideburns of ursine splendor.
Good vibes, went early in the afternoon. No hassle
Lovely bowling alley you can have Partys and just go there for fun. There's a place that can give you food and drinks
Well the prices have definitely gone up since the last time I was at the alley...$8 per game is just cray cray. The people working at the food counter left a lot to be desired. They were slow, kind of rude, and not pleasant at all. And slooow...the bathroom us also tiny.
Great music and fun bowling. Drinks are generally good bit don't count on quick food.
Nice.. But... People need to understand lane manners.
I haven't been here in a while. But, have you ever thought about doing Teen leagues? Kids in the neighborhood need another place to escape.
It's A Great Place To Go Bowling At Any Given Time Of The Daytime And The Nighttime At The Sametime!:-)
The bowling was alright but the lady at the front ruined the whole thing. Hope they hire a new person instead of her. It was me & my friends first time bowling and we asked for the border bumpers and she denied us even though I told her it was our first time. My friend asked her again politely to put the border bumpers up , and she said " You know what ....." and folled us back and put everbodys border pumpers back down. Everybody was complaing. I will never come back here.
Great customer service, my friends and I really enjoyed ourselves.
It was just great! Bar and pricing !
Not bad. Small arcade decent food. Cool for birthdays
Equipments were old. Bartender is interesting. Would come back for the specials. Met expectations overall.
Great place to bowl with family or friends! Only bad thing is the bar, the old man at the bar doesn’t give good service at all. Another thing he did was give me cups that were used already never washed and when I told him about it he knew but acted like it was nothing.
Bowling was good, the space there is very tight per lane when it's crowded and the food service definitely left lots to be desired. The cook could only fry up one burger on the grill at a time. ONE.
This place rules! Excellent price for excellent bowling. Don’t miss out!
This place has it all. The bowling, arcade and even a full bar. A gathering place for families and serious players alike, always lively and open till late.
Solid place for 6-10 year old birthday party if you’ve run out of ideas or need an indoor party. The food brings it down a star as it’s barely edible. When the kids comment on the quality you have to wonder.
Too dark. They should let you bring in your own food bc awful bipolar woman hates taking food orders. Simple questions overwhelm her emotions with anger and lacks self control. Then the bartendr in 1975 suit is only good at pouring shots or giving you a beer. Never going there again
It's an amazing bowling alley. I love the mightily joyful spirits cheering, and supporting each other. In addition the food there isn't bad and are quite the munchies. However, I believe that they really di need more employees. From what I've seen when I go to Melody lanez, the employees tend to get overwhelmed by the large amount of people, that is often there and it truly gets to them.
Oh my God why is bowling here so expensive? I understand that this is Brooklyn New York but come on. I went out the other day with a couple of buddies to go bowling and we ended up renting shoes and playing two games... This ran me a 56 bucks. I've never paid this much to bowl in my entire life. The balls are pretty old and I had to go back to the attendant several times to fix some problems with the game. Typically I would give it two stars but hey, everything is expensive in New York. Gotta get used to it.
It was a lot of fun. But is was so hot there no ac just a few fans
Good drinks n food great time
Had lots of fun bowling with friends here. Great for groups or Birthday parties, but be sure to arrive early to get a lane under your name. Lane quality, shoes, and ball selection are so-so, but worth a night out if you're looking for something to do indoors.
Incredible old style big ball bowling alley! Note the list of 300 bowlers of the last fifty years. Note that the frequency of 300 games is on the rise. May you some day climb that mountain.
great bowling. was a potential movie spot for the big lebowski 2 shooting. nice staff
Had an awesome time bowling with friends. Platters are a little pricey. But fast and prompt service.
Had a nice time. The staff was great.
It's ok but the service could be way better.
This place is always busy. The lady at the desk can be nasty sometimes.
Friendly and accommodating staff with one of the friendliest bartenders around. Great value for drinks and reasonable prices you’d expect for food at a bowling alley. Really good value for the Friday night all you can bowl (must at least have group of 4 for special price). Will definitely go back.
Great place, great good, and nice respectful workers
Went here as a teenager and place still looks the same. Old music bad food. Aw the memories!
Prefect birthday! Thank you!!!
Best bowling Lanes in Brooklyn. No long lines, Friendly staff!
Was very lit
The staff and even tho owner were rude, took for ever and were super unprofessional towards us. Very disappointed about this place
Nice place. A little bit loud.
Still one of the go to places to bowl in my area. Great place to have a Birthday party too.
Sometimes I like to come here with friends. I am glad that the establishment has not only a bowling alley, but also a food court. There you can choose food and drinks. affordable prices. enjoy the company and the game
Fun, classic bowling alley with lots of weird low class patrons and lack of available balls to throw. No parking lot available. Have to look for street parking.
Just joined my second league...looking forward to another fun season. Renovations look like they are going well and the food is pretty good. Pete the bartender is a legend. Marianne behind the desk is great too.
The worst place I went paid for half hour they gave me 10 mins when I went to the front desk and complained the lady with the blonde hair, argued that I did play when I timed it she gave me an attitude and didn't give me the time nor money back.. she was disgusting and very nasty old woman.
Awesome, no frills bowling alley. Snack bar, arcade, there is everything you need for a homespun birthday celebration. Pro Tip: order catering in advance for large groups.
My daughter been bowling here for years and she loves it.
It's a quiet place in the area would highly recommend
For us the best plan is to do a taco crawl in the neirborhood before or after bowling. Mrlody Lanes NY is this lovely place. I would love that one day it will be possible to eat GOOD tacos and bowl at the same time there.
I did enjoy playing bowling with friends here but the place has some downside. It was fun, and the price for 5 people for two hours was really worth it. Now, the location feels like it needs some renovation. For us, time was important (we paid for two hours) but our lane presented problems twice and we waited more than 7 minutes each time for them to fix it. Shoes were okay, and seats too. If taking account what we paid, felt okay. Now, the person in charge of preparing the food was another story. I felt I was bothering whenever I tried to order some food. I did order a Cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks. I liked the bread, and burguer and mozzarella sticks were okay too. No any big surprise for a 6 dollars burger. I didn't get to talk with barman, so I can't comment about that department. I think it is a great place if price is the priority. I liked it, and probably if I just want to play bowling with a cheaper price, I'd visit again.
Great Center. Always has been a nice clean family and party spot. Major renovations in progress. Support them Brooklyn.
Great lanes and inexpensive
Great bowling experience
My son and I love this place! The food is pretty good and the staff is very polite and friendly. They also have a bar
Nice clean and I won both games yeah!!
the lady on the phone is extremely rude. it made me not even want to go there. i tried to ask about hours and prices since the website was a bit unclear and she said "i don't know what to tell you. you just have to come in. if it's busy, wait. if it's not, fine." i was trying to tell her when i planned on coming in, and she rudely and loudly interrupted me to ask how many people were coming. it was just disrespectful. also, looking through these reviews, there are multiple complaints about that woman. i don't know how she still has a job there.
They are a fun bowling alley and the food is actually pretty good.
I’ve been here and had a great time. But I want to come here after my prom with some friends, at 10pm,is that possible?
Horrible services!! The staffs were horrible also
A great time. It has that mom and pop feel with the benefits of modernization. They have great specials. It's clean. Bathrooms were clean. People are nice. You'll definitely enjoy the place when you're with the right people. They have an arcade and snack shop in the back along with a bar as soon as you walk in.
Very small for a bowling alley but it's still a pretty good time. There is food in the back and a bar as well. Reasonably priced and an overall a good time but was way too packed.
Fun late night bowl
Went with a group of coworkers. I don't know if it was the cashier who didn't like a co-worker or if the cashier was busy, but popcorn was ordered and I don't remember the popcorn ever appearing. There are different sized bowling balls to bowl with. You get bowling shoes as well. The music was eclectic and I feel threw off our games (we weren't good bowlers but when certain songs came on, it seemed to get us in bowling mood. It was a great place to hang out with coworkers.
Good for a few games. Looks sketchy and bar is very sad/overpriced/prices are arbitrary. Machines are old. The only friendly person was the lady that gave us our shoes.
I would highly recommend NOT going to this poorly run establishment. My family came in town from Germany for a night of bowling. They used their credit card to pay. The card for some reason did not work after swiping it twice. So I used my American card and was charged over $60 for the evening. A few days later we noticed that the German card was charged. So we were charged TWICE. A simple mistake. I called and was told that the manager would take a look and call me back later. NO CALL BACK happened. A few days later I called again and once again was told that they would take a look and call me back that day. It’s been nearly a month... NO CALL BACK and NO REFUND. This establishment is a ramshackle hot mess, with no A/C, which hasn’t been updated since the 90’s and the people working there that evening seemed like they could care less. We payed for an allotted amount of time that said would give us 2 games and the lanes turned off at the beginning of the second game. We didn’t even get to finish! And avoid the aging bartender at all cost. He was a jerk. It may be cheap but you get what you pay for. If I could give them a zero stars I would. Stealing people’s money is a crime. Avoid this place at all costs
The staff is rude an the girls had there hands in they hair while handling the food. My lane was broken an all I got was rudeness, I pay for 3 hours of bowling which isn't cheap an all I got was disgust. I'm never going back there. The glow in the dark lanes was like regular cuz the lights was on, omg not again. Dont follow what is online about this place being good.
Great
Old run down bowling alley. Several times our lanes broke down (lane 1-3). Food is not good and drink selection is minimal. The bar moves slow. Please needs a facelift to keep up with the crowd.
Terrible service got no assistance when I needed it and when I asked for a refund the lady said i couldn’t get my money back
The Front desk lady was very rude, they should fire her. The owners should realize the only reason they’re receiving bad reviews is because of the lady. Me and my friends are already planning on going to a BETTERRR KINDDERRR PLACEE.
It was great great food great staff
Great place to have some fun
Lil family bowling joint. Kid friendly
Nice bowling alley! Great place for bowling themed parties!
It wasn't really crowded and it was cheap.
