Attended a birthday party here and was pleasantly surprised. Ample free street parking. Large dance floor. Fully stocked bar with moderately priced drinks that were not watered down. Seems to be a relaxed environment. The game was playing and they have traditional pub food, hot wings, fries, etc. Booths, tables and seating at the bar. Nice spot for a night out with friends to watch a game and have a few drinks.

Very mature crowd. The music was good and the ambianceis luxurious. People were definitely dressed to impress, but like I said, it was a very mature crowd. (40's and up). I missed the buffet, but just the idea of them having one is great.

I like Backstage for the maturity of the crowds on Fri/Sat. The music is easy to groove to, regardless of the generation and the sneaker policy is flexible for ladies being a particular age. I go here all the time because the food menu is perfectly portioned and the L.I.T.s are GREAT!

Sunday night party on a long weekend was lots of fun. Great music and friendly bartenders. Huge TV to watch the game. Kitchen was backed up an hour so we didnt eat. The poor bartenders couldnt keep up with the crowd.We were frisked at the door like criminals or trouble makers. Hated that.

I attended this establishment by an invite.i was very suprised that i never heard about this cozy place very nice for adult parties,they also have a pool table,the night I attended they were having a shuffle class. This was a little old for my taste off dancing ,but it was nice to watch.

I found out about The Backstage Bar and Bowling lanes in Nov ‘18. I have been there 3-4 times since then. Excellent place to have a jumping food time out in Woodmere, LI. I went on Fri nights for R&B Friday’s and the music was excellent - service at the bar can get a bit slow at times but that’s because they were busy and I am a drinker

It's hard to get a drink. The bartenders are too busy goofing around or taking care of people they know. I tip well. But they would never find out. Music was lady Dee Wells tonight...she is always good..then somebody who was kinda wack. 2 birthday parties that I think filled the spot up. So I have to check it out on a non birthday night to give it 5 stars. I had a good time tonight though. ***New review November 30th 2018*** I went back on a Friday and invited a couple friends to go as well. 1:30 am place was empty and they close @ 3 am. But here we go again, we had a female bartender who kept the change....it was only a dollar....but you don't keep the change. My friend was about to add on 6 bucks but changed her mind when she didn't bring the change. Soured the night. We went elsewhere. This is how I tip. Whatever the drink is I tip 5 bucks. Due to the fact that I understand the struggle...but dam...you just don't keep the tip. Mandatory bar tips? I was really trying to like this place, but for this night you only get one star.

Went here for a Saturday night concert. The concert was fun but the bar was frustrating.... it took forever to order drinks. It was impossible to get the attention of the bartenders. UPDATE: Came back for a birthday party and had a good time. The Wednesday night karaoke is lots of fun, so I added a star to my rating. But once again, as soon as this place gets a little busy it's very difficult to get the attention of the bartenders.

It was a nice night out with the girls. The music was good, the crowd was cool and it was a large enough space. I would've given it 4 stars but the bar service was non-existent. My friends were able to get drinks after a very long wait but they tended to only assist people who were right on top of them. They should have more bartenders and skme one who walks around taking orders.
