Even after spending over $300, we were still kicked out by Samantha Blackman. That was the worst experience I’ve ever had bowling. She’s ruined the night and was extremely rude. She didn’t care about treating the customer fairly or the business we brought. Whoever is in charge of this bowling alley needs to take a serious look and review of their staff members. You can’t have people in charge who is going to run customers out of the establishment. She had no empathy or respect for anyone there, even other families present. She was laughing in our face and was telling us how much money we spent. I will NEVER go back to this horrible bowling ally again

Ordered a coke and disaronno because the banner on their TV bowling screen said it was $2. After the girl made the drink she asked for my card and when I got the receipt she charged me $20 for 2 drinks! I showed her the ad on the tv screen and she looked very confused and said "Oh thats for the shots". Then I pointed and showed her the ad. "Special Coke and Disaronno $2". She then said she couldn’t do anything about that. $20 for 2 mixed drink at a bowling ally LOL what a joke. Gonna go somewhere else now. Frustrating experience and clearly false advertisements.

I've found that the lanes are very inconsistent. There are times when everyone in our league bowls personal high games one week and then almost personal low games the next. On a brighter note, the flat bread pizzas are very good.

WORST WORST WORST SERVICE.. went there last night party of 8 waited 45 minutes for an Appetizer to get it and it was cold waste of 22 dollars then another 30 minutes to get a lane. Very unorganized and untidy.. only great staff they have is 1 female bartender slim girl with glasses with braids/dreds.. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN SPENT OVER $150 AS A COUPLE.. SHOULD HAVE WENT ELSE WHERE

Nice, clean lanes with a lively atmosphere. Great prices and unlimited bowling after a certain time. Sometimes the pins don't reset the right way. Also, the kitchen seems a little understaffed; we waited half an hour for a pizza (and they don't let you bring outside food). If you're not serious about bowling but want a nice place to chill on a Friday night, it's good to go here.

I already read a review that garden city branch do mess with groupon deals...so I insisted her to accept the coupon....which she later did. What I dont understand is, why to advertise your business on Groupon if you don't like it? And why to lure people into buying groupon deals and later giving them a hard time

It's a bowling alley. They try to make it upscale but the basics like ball selection and equipment suffers because of it. Staff was great though and prices are reasonable.

Five Stars solely because of Kimara aka Kim, my office team and I came to Garden City Lanes and we were immediately greeted by Kim who made us feel welcomed and ready to have a good time, needless to say, Kim checked us in within mere seconds, saw that our group had the correct shoe sizes and directed us to our lane where she made sure we were all settled and pointed to the various amenities that the place had to offer. Upon leaving, she said goodbye and even remembered our names! If you plan on coming here, do yourself a favor and book your party with Kim and you will not be disappointed!

From my. Understanding, this place just recently went under some renovations. Lanes are good, balls aren't all that great quality. What bothered me the most is that I ordered the sampler platter and the girl behind the counter (who made clear she's actually the bartender), takes out a small packet of mayo and tears it open with her teeth to our it in a dipping container for me. Disgusting! Btw, the sampler sucked and not worth $21.00. At best the mozzarella sticks were the stars here. Take you #$*@ back. The lanes also had bumpers, but they're not automatic so the adults who have small children with them are forced to play with the guards up or down for all players. Not cool at all. I asked and they made no mention about upgrading it, as least to the person I asked. Each lane has a huge projector TV above the pin zone, but whoopie doo. This is my first and last time ever going to this or any AMF. I have no damn clue how this place received anything close to a 4.1 star rating.

Charged us for 3 games and we only got to play 2, when the place closed at 12 she shut the game on us instead of letting us finish up our last frames. After asking for a refund for not letting us play our games the manager Samantha Blackman refused to refund us and we spent at least $300 at that place. To kick a group out that spent that much money at your business and feel that it’s okay is wrong, everyone else that worked there was great but Samantha Blackman was rude, disrespectful, and doesn’t need to service anyone else there anymore.

Need to be renovated, especially the lanes. Bowling balls take a long while to come back and pins would fall down by itself. One of the female staff has a very bad attitude towards customers. When I asked her to turn on the ceiling fan, instead of telling me she'll get some colleague to do it, she just said that's not her responsibility. What kind of service is that....

DIRTY/OUT DATED/DAMAGED BALLS/ Find another bowling alley.. Went Saturday 02/02/19 around 5:30pm waited 45min for a lane, because a bowling tournament just ended and only 1 person was cleaning the entire place not to mention this was one of the dirtiest bowling alleys on Long Island. I didn’t mind waiting, decided to play some arcade games with my daughter MOST games off and not working. Lost a few bucks on air hockey and counter person said he counted issue a refund.. Men’s restroom had a HUGH puddle of pee on the floor, finger food GROSS, the lanes are outdated if your going with kids your playing with bumpers the entire game or get 2 lanes. (We had 2 lanes for this reason) Spent $220.00 for 2 lanes, finger food, beverages, arcade games 8 people. Money not worth the environment

Once I found out the price, we left. $8 per person per game. Plus $5.24 for shoes. Four people times 3 games plus 4 pair of shoes equals $117 before tax. That's pretty steep just to bowl.

Asked us to show our schedules when we went during the college student special in the summer. Told us we need to be active students, meanwhile the website says we just need our card. No blacklight, no tv, no music when we went at 10 pm. Ive went before this and there machines always seem to have glitches and it takes forever for them to come help.

Good bowling spot to play at as well as host parties of all sorts. Parking is not too good during nights closer to the weekend. Bar food like the wings are awesome. They do have a bar(The drinks are ok and the beer is cold). Can get crowded quickly. Call ahead of time. Overall a great time.

This is not for the first time I went to the AMF location of Garden city today which is father's day I had a very bad experience . The person at the counter asked how many hours I wanted I said just an hour because by 8:00 Pm I must be on my way home He made me paid 26 dollars without telling there is no such thing of one hour I ended up pay another11.00 dollars for another game I thought He knew exactly what He was doing ,because after the fact now He tried to explained to me there is no one hour game I ended up pay 37.00 dollars for two games when I could paid two dollars extra for two hours .A heads up will make a big difference.

The experience was fun due to the calm ease environment. The bowling service was fast and quick along with the machines that monitor your bowling. Most of the times the machines give problems but I didn't encounter any. The food service wasn't to quick. Waited quite a while just for one of their cocktails, by the time I got it I was already wrapping up my games. Overall this bowling alley is great to go to.

What was turning out to be an enjoyable evening with colleagues and upper management ended having an ugly ending twist. It was at 12am and we were finishing our last frame with just 2 bowlers left, the Operations manager, Samantha Blackman rudely shut down our lanes and when we stated we were finishing up, she berated us and acted in such an unprofessional manner that I cant in good conscious come back to. Your establishment. She lied and stated that we bowled 5 games when in fact it was 1 and 3 quarters-we stated we paid for 2 games and she was like you paid $15 when in fact our party of 8 dropped over $300 for food and alcohol. We were not an unruly party-we carried ourselves with respect. We work for a major Solar company on the island and we will definitely spread the word to ownership and fellow colleagues about our horrible experience.

I actually loved the bowling alley cause my daughter had a great time and so did her friends from school cause she just turned 5. But the service wasn't very good. Myself and another mother had to go behind the shoe counter and get the shoes for the kids, they didn't give us the rack or whatever it's called for the kids to roll the ball down we had to ask 3x before we finally got one. Then the bumpers fell 2x and it took 3 people each time to tell them to put the bumpers back up. My daughter was suppose to get a bowling pin so her friends could sign so I had to chase the lady down before the kids left so they could sign it, and when we first got there we should have gotten the $10 of credits for the arcade games but we didn't get them till everyone was leaving so I think that was wrong. Also I thought the party coordinator should have set up the names in the scoreboard and the birthday girl should have went first but she didn't set it up so another mother did and put the bday girl last. I also had a $100 credit so I ordered 3 extra pizzas and 3 pitchers of soda for the adults and the coordinator was arguing with me that I didn't pay for the extra pizza and sodas which was not true. Overall we did get the pizzas and soda but the service could have been better.
