My wife & I were in town on a Thursday celebrating our anniversary. After a day of planned activities & supper with our son, a TOTALLY spur of the moment search on google maps for something else to do (to round out the night) turned into the most fun we've had together as a family for a long time. The atmosphere in Chops is what I would call "cool old school", & that's awesome in my book! Working there was a friendly older gent who greeted us, got us set up with what we needed, got the tunes goin & put some B Ball on the tvs. While we only had a drink from the full bar there, it does have "fun food" that you would expect a bowling alley to have (nachos, pizza, pop, candy etc). We had a blast there, the fella working was super nice, was enjoyable to be around & courteous. The place is clean, in good shape & the prices cant be beat. We will definitively go back the next time we are able. Thank You Chops for making a spur of the moment decision into something we'll always remember!

We, literally, just left this place...disgusted. My cousin and I decided to have a family bowling night, so we all met up at Chops. We had a party of 8, and it was a first experience for all of us. It was terrible. The place is seriously old, outdated, and MAJORLY cramped. Each lane has 2 seats, and the seats are so close to the score console (that is from the 70's) that there is no space to walk up to the lane if someone is sitting in them. We originally had 2 lanes (but got kicked off of one, but I'll get to that). One lane for kids with bumpers, and another lane for the adults. Our balls got stuck 9 separate times in the hour that we were there. The console glitched and skipped several turns. When the balls didn't get stuck down the lane, they got stuck in the ball return. The bumpers kept falling and the staff acted irritated when asked to fix them. Also, they only take cash, no cards, so expect atm fees. They can furnish an atm, but not process debit transactions..... Now, 2 games in, the older guy working comes over and says 6 bowlers isn't enough to have 2 lanes so he's moving us all to one to make room for someone else. Our money, apparently, wasn't good enough. Mind you, 6 people bowling 3 games a piece, shoe rental, and food and drinks for all 8 people. Now, we have the whopping 2 seats for 8 people! Then, the party of 6 he put next to us comes over and starts moving our balls to make room for theirs. When asked to stop and asked where they had put our balls, they were rude and talked amongst themselves about how they were "regulars" and we had some nerve. Six of our eight people bowling...6 balls...how dare we. In addition, they practiced zero bowling etiquette and seemed to be doing so on purpose. We had enough at this point and left with 4 paid for games unplayed. We tried Chops out because it was a local joint, and thought we'd support a local business and try some place new. None of us will be returning. This place is an absolute joke. The only positive was the guy at the food counter being polite and efficient. Beyond that...TERRIBLE.

I came here in 2014 and my car was stolen, the security cameras at the time did not record actual footage and served basically as glorified mirrors. Hope you guys have been able to afford an update.

We go here every year for my mr's work holiday party and every year its a blast. they are very nice and accomidating but i only gave it 4 stars because its a smaller, older place and sometimes the lanes have issues. I love the cosmic bowling and they have a pretty decent bar.

If you like nostalgia when you bowl. This is a very cool old school bowling alley. If you are a Modern bowler with no interest in the past, nostalgia, personal hometown feel with a very personal touch, this place may not be for you. The reason. Mention this is due to the negative reviews that don't really spell out the issues. I feel they are expecting something from a 40 lane house. This is not that. This is a classic bowling alley at its best. Best of luck and good bowling. Hope you still do Sunday sweepers with all the crazy fun money racks. Hope to be back soon.

Was the worst bowling alley I've ever been too and I have been to many. The equipment kept malfunctioning while we we're bowling. First our bowling ball kept getting stuck on lane 8. Then he switched us to lane 7 and the computer was screwing up the score. The machine set down 2 pins from my daughter's turn on my turn, I knocked them down and it gave me a strike...???lol The older gent behind the counter wasn't friendly at all. I told him "sorry man not trying to get the ball stuck." ( even though it's not my fault anyway just trying to be nice.) and he just walked off all butt hurt like it's my fault the equipment is trash. All in all just a crappy bowling experience. Won't be back. Best of luck.

Its ok but equipment is very old and not reliable. The scores weren't accurate half of the time at least. And the "weekend special" actually costs $1 more than regular price. Go here if you aren't a serious bowler and just want to have fun.

Chops isn't your flashy have everything bowling alley, but what they do have are quality lanes personable staff and just enough entertainment for the kids to have a great time wether they are bowling or just playing games. They have updated there establishment to cosmic bowling and flat screen t.v.'s and a great sound system. I have been bowling there on leagues for 5 yrs now and have not had any bad experiences.I would and do recommend them to all my friends and now recommend them to you. Rent the place for a party or just enjoy the cheap prices either way a great time. ENJOY!!!!

You have to bring cash!!! If you carry around only card be prepared to pay an ATM fee. It also seemed like their ball selection wasn't enough, alot of girls in our group couldn't find a lighter ball and were forced to bowl with heavier balls.

We happened to bowling here for their annual Turkey Bowl event. It was a lot of fun and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I've been to this place several times before and really enjoy it. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the newer bowling alleys, is a lot smaller and a bit out of the way, but the charm of a good ole bowling alley offering friendly service is nice. They only take cash, but they do have an ATM. Plus they have local favorite Orsi's pizza available for order.

Had a great time here today! The man working was great. He's a real local character and nice as pie. Very little seating, but, hey, it's been around for a very long while, and who am I to say they should remodel? Very old fashioned. Just went in on an afternoon with a friend, and it had a real mom-and-pop feel. We weren't that serious about bowling, so we had a great time. Three games and shoes for about ten bucks. He turned the music on just for us. Didn't drink, but the bar looked extensive. Got a great feel. Only downside- they only take cash. So expect ATM fees. If you can even get the ATM to work, that is. We kept getting an error, and he explained that, since the advent of the chip, they've been having problems with it. He was kind enough to just let us bowl without paying, and for us to casually try the ATM again throughout our games. Great local honor system feeling. One of us finally got it to work, so we were able to pay. But, even if it didn't work, he told us there was an ATM at a nearby gas station. Keep in mind, this is about two and a half games in. He was willing to let us leave and come back. But that's why it's a four star review. Shouldn't be too hard to get a card reader. I know it's a nostalgic place, and it would be an easy modern update. Overall, great fun if you're not looking for something modern, fancy, or anything other than a bowling alley. Will definitely come again!

I would say the place is nice for a quick bowling or a friendly get together over bowling, but I find the location very weird. Though they aren't far from downtown yet situated in a odd spot. The lyft driver had hard time locating it's front door

The best place to bowl in the world. An old school alley where one would easily find The Dude, Walter and Donnie kicking back some High Life's and White Russian's while throwing rocks during league play. If you don't dig Chop's, then obviously, you're not a golfer. Jon and Staff are top notch! Seriously, best bowling alley in the world.
