This Bowling Alley belongs to the category of Bowling alley.
Great prices and fun to be had while waiting they have a pool table and a couple machines if that's what your into.
Love this place! Family owned business that is clean, always improving, and really accommodating. They have excellent specials throughout the week, and a full bar. What more could you ask for?..
The Bowl is a great place for kids' birthday parties or an adult night out. All the equipment seems to be in working order, which is more than can be said for most bowling alleys. There are cheap snacks and drinks for the kids, and a full bar for the adults. Just don't expect anything extravagant. It is still just a bowling alley.
Been going here since I was little. Love it
Good family entertainment. Could use some updates/new balls etc but good fun and reasonably priced.
Monday night discount bowling in the summer. Need I say more. Such a great old school bowling alley. We even convinced our work to have our Christmas party there.
Someone posted "Too much league time! Everynight starting at 5pm is league! For christ sake! Why not make half of the bowling alley for league and the other half for customers" League bowlers are CUSTOMERS also. They are there each and every week for 32 to 34 weeks. That is how a bowling center pays its bills.can you guarantee you will come each week for 9 months? To use your term "For christ sake" leagues are the bread and butter of a centers business, understand they do as they need to do to make a living. I do agree the place needs work, better restroom facilities, what they have is horrendous, desk people need to pay some attention, put the cell phone down and take care of the customers.
It's a cool place to go to take your friends and ball and get stuff off your mind
Super fun friendly staff
John James you're right, one side should be for league but that is up to the owner of the Bozeman Bowl. John you're not in charge. This is America and I agree with your suggestion but let the owner decide.
Fun place
It's a bowling alley.
Great family spot
Slow front desk service but there's only one person working the bar and front counter all by themselves sometimes so it's understandable.
Bowl for kids was great.
Nice place! Clean, everything worked well. Several families & young people bowling which was nice to see
Clint and some of the front desk guys are pretty darn great, played in a league one time and we're treated as regulars now. Whining about leagues taking up the lanes is pretty ignorant. Welcome to the sport of Bowling, we hope you enjoy your stay. Like with any alley the place has a different vibe depending on when you go. Check at the front desk to find out when the ambiance will be more to your liking. Monday $1.50 game nights are crazy, it's cheap but not worth it to a serious bowler. $2.00 games on Wednesday is much better. Show up around 8 when the leaguers are wrapping up and you'll be the first non-com with your own lane.
Fun
League all day everyday, whoever has a problem with league is a filthy pleab
Cheap drinks, good fun, great deals!
$1.50 games and shoes on Mondays! Unless of course they decide to use all the lanes for league play, then good luck bowling in Bozeman.
Loved it
League, League, League... Always league. Year Round. Always. No matter what. Would be fun to bowl every now and again.
This is the only bowling alley in the area. It's a great place. The staff is friendly and they do everything from shoes to mechanics in the back and run the bar. I have a great time everytime I go. I added the hours of 9am - 12am, however they are actually 9am - Close. They do that in case they are slow they have the option to shut it down early to save money. Call before you go to check availability. They host parties, non-profit events and league for the whole area, so they can get busy.
I really enjoy bowling and have been to quite a few different alleys in different cities. It is quite disappointing that The Bowl in my home town is so poor in service. We went today and were ignored at the counter even though there were 2 people working and it was not busy, when we were given a lane one of our balls got stuck and we couldn't find a staff member to help us with a ball return, when I found a staff member she was chatting with a co worker, looked right at me, and then just continued talking to her co worker ignoring me. When she was done with her conversation I asked her for help and she seemed pretty upset that I had a request. Was ignored and treated poorly attempting to purchase a drink, and asking when the pro shop would be open as well. Can't fully express here how poor we were treated in our time at the bowl today. Very frustrating.
Great time! Beer and liquor too!
Good wait time....
Great and fun place to bowl
Great people, local owners!
It's the only bowling alley in Bozeman, so you're stuck with it either way. Delightfully divey if you're into that sort of thing. Always brings out a good mix of people.
Good fun something different for everyone to get out of the house
Great and exciting time loved it good for kids always lanes
Always dirty and need more organization of balls and smaller weights for kids.
More of a casino. They have no closing time but will turn off your game, even when all lanes are full. What a joke.
Great for birthday or get togethers
The help is not that professional. Basically a couple of kids working there. The bowling is pretty cheap if league isn't going on.
Great time. Good prices I would go again
My Grandson's had a Great time, It was for his 6th Birthday Party an his first time bowling, It was a blast, He had so much fun
Booked a child's birthday party here from 2:30 p.m to 4:30 p.m. they overbooked the lanes and made us wait till 3:00 p.m. to bowl. Unhappy kids equals unhappy adults. I will never use this facility again!
Bowling and a bar.... no more to be said.
Great bowling
I just got the worst service I’ve ever had in my life from the Bozeman bowl, the man at the counter by the name of Josie lied to me and told me it would only be a 30 minute wait time; an hour goes by and I checked with Josie to see if there were any lanes available and he then gave me a dirty annoyed look and said it will be another 30 minutes. I am a very dissatisfied customer.
Mondays and Wednesdays are cheaper
Fair prices and friendly
Only one we have. Thank goodness they are so great there.
This is as best as it gets here. I hate bowling because i suck at it. But its always a good time with a beer and a girl
Great but they could invest in some new balls
The best place in my opinion
The people are nice and the lanes are good but leagues do take precedence, so I do agree with the comments on the league play at the bowl. A lot of the only open bowling times are earlier in the day. I guess if you want more lane time joining a league may be your best bet, which is maybe what they are looking for there. The league bowling may be the only thing that keeps a place like that in business. It's a consistent flow of income, but it is not the only bowling in Bozeman. There is also bowling at the MSU Strand Union rec. center, on the MSU campus. Hope this helps anyone looking to bowl here in Bozeman.
Best bowling in Bozeman.
Been bowling here for years, staff generally friendly and viewing is super cheap on Mondays.
Really fun
If I give it more stars I would. This place is amazing now. Lots of upgrades, new paint, even the machines look like they're running well. Good job, Mark and Lori.
Family fun!
Great alley with well-kept lanes and friendly staff. The Bowl is a Bozeman treasure.
Love Montana
Decent bowling alley with real wood Lanes and decent drink prices.
It's okay
Super COOL people, lots of fun for kids of all ages.
They clearly don't give a frick about their costumers. I waited over 2 hours for a lane as I watched people walk in and just get a lane right away. It was absolutely ridiculous, I will not spend my money here.
An good place to bowl and hangout
Cool
So much fun
This place is awesome. The only thing I would say is League comes first. But right after that its the perfect place to chill and hang out with friends.
Nice atmosphere. I read some bad reviews and frankly disagree. The front desk was very pleasant and it was a typical bowling experience. We had a very good time.
Easy inexpensive fun.
They need more security, for make a family place.
$2 games and shoes on Monday nights, can't beat it. A great place for college students
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. It began with my daughter asking for a 6 lb ball. The attendant behind the counter was so annoyed that his cell phone time was interrupted, that he rolled his eyes, said something under his breath and rolled the ball to my daughter. Later, he put on inappropriate music that had fowl language in it. When asked to change the music, he changed it to another song by the same "artist". I then went up to him and asked him to put on music that didn't involve bad language. He told me there was no bad language and that he would listen for it. I then asked him to change it again and was told, "How about we play what we play here". His words. After a back and forth, he threatened to throw me out. When I told him to go ahead, he got irate and cranked the music up so loud you couldn't talk to the person next to you. He then left the counter and went to the bar to talk to his buddies for at least ten minutes while the music was cranked up. Keep in mind that there are other people in the place. As we were leaving, and I was talking to my daughter about what happened, he continued his tirade by again engaging in disrespectful conversation. I really hope this is not a reflection of the attitude of the owner and the rest of the staff. This was by far the worst I have ever been treated by any business and to do so in front of children makes it that much more appalling. The only up side was that my daughter learned a valuable lesson about rudeness and how to handle it when it happens.
It's the best. They pay me
Bowling is such a fun thing to do and this place has it down
It was fun very nice employees an helpful!!
Fun for sure! But like any bowling alley it's a bit dirty.
This place was horrible to me. We walked in, and of course there was league, so we put our name on a waiting list (#2) (which she said would be a hour). We waited an hour and a half, league ended, and Amber (the employee) gave 3 of the lanes to her friends. Half the lanes were reserved for a party. We waited in the line for our turn and then she refused to help us.she told us it would be another 30 min to get organized. We went home and called the alley (the owner Lori) and she, again, didn't say anything helpful and basically told us to shove off. It's unbelievable)
Staff is awesome
Jennica was an amazing bartender. Please give her a raise!!!
Always busy
Nice place downtown Bozeman. Fun time.
It's a great place to bowl and the people are friendly
We were looking for something to do on a Friday night in Bozeman and decided on bowling. We walked in and expected a short wait being that it was a friday and there were five of us. Instead the man at the front disrespectfully told us that there was an hour wait and if we wanted to wait that long we would have to wait in the bar. This may have been a manageable option, however some of us were under 21 and therefore we couldn’t enter the bar at all. Instead we decided to wait the only place we could while staying the building, some open chairs by the front. It wasn’t ten minutes before he told us that if we wanted to wait we would have to do it in the bar, where it was illegal for some of us to go. We then left and have no intention of returning. It seemed as though they did not care for our business whatsoever and they should not be expecting it back anytime soon.
The balls have dents and roll erratically. Ironically my children with autism and I couldn't finish our game and had to leave when the bowl for Kids sake event started. A heads up would have been nice when we payed for our games that it was going to get loud and crowded.
My friends and I were in the middle of our second game and the front desk shut down our lane. They never even came up to us and let us know they needed to close down for the night. I walked up to the front desk employee and he had money on the counter lied out to reimburse us for the games we payed for. The professionalism and service is lacking heavy. I also had to wait at the bar multiple times for a bartender to be at the bar. It really does not seem like the employees have any respect or care for the guests paying money to have a good time. It's too bad.
Run down, but busy nonetheless. They accept cash only and you can bring in your own food. A good college hangout when the lanes at the SUB are broken down.
Great place to go bowling with the grandkids!
Nice bowling alley. Pretty heavy college crowds on Wednesday nights so it can get pretty loud and rowdy.
Their daily specials are bomb!! Friday nights are usually over priced and crowed but during the day is perfect. They offer cheap prices on beer however it's a cash only joint and ball sizes are limited to your hands/ the smaller the hands the more options. They do offer an atm here as well.
We really need a second bowling alley in Bozeman the I hardly ever open bowling because of league It's so stupid
Not the best bowling alley. Highly recommend bringing your own ball if you have larger than normal fingers they don't have too many options there. Still had fun though!
Great time! Mondays and Fridays are the best!
A little pricy but fun
Great place to have fun except the little blond bartender to will chase you down and yell whilst being quite childish if you open a tab and step outside to meet people you are waiting to join you.. Apparently she has a low self image... Other than that one this is the place to be
Good times great staff and drinks. Food is not bad either for a bowling alley. Little bit out dated inside and has that old school bowling feel. My best buddy rolled a perfect game here once. There is a lot leagues to join if your into that.
It smells like cigarettes and it has ok bathrooms
Smooth running center, the staff take pride in what they do. Also they have the best drink prices in town. Highly recommend for a good time.
Would rate it lower if I could. Staff were disrespectful and inconsiderate. After paying to bowl the bar tender came and accused of stealing alcohol from the bar, shut down our game and kicked us out after 5-10 minutes. Said they would check security cameras but did not and continued to acuse us of stealing. Wouldn’t return to a place with little respect for PAYING customers.
I wish there was a 0 rating. This place is the worse in customer service. We had reservations for 4 and they gave them away! We waited 2 hours with 5 kids for it and they could care less!!! The person behind the counter could care less about his job. I will never recommend this place. It would be way better to drive to the next town with bowling alley.
I definitely enjoyed my time there! The staff were borderline apathetic… But, the facility was nice and the lanes were clean. I had a fun time.
My friend works here
What a blast! Had family night here. Guys working the counter were great - outgoing and pleasant. All around a great experience. Just call first to make sure you don't show up on League Night. :)
A fun place for the fam.
I'm there every week and it's always fun
Outside of bowling at the college, this is the place to be. :) Beggers cannot be choosers, and with the proximity to downtown, it's a fantastic location.
Great alleys!
0 STARS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE So......we walked up to the counter and sat there and waited to be helped for about 5-10 minutes. And then when the guy at the counter finally decided to acknowledge us he rudely said that there were no lanes available. Then my boyfriend tried to get his bowling ball out of his locker, and it was missing.....so, then we had to sit at the counter and wait another 5-10 minutes for the guy to finish typing on his cell phone and help us out......SO GREAT
Had a great time. There was a few minor problems with the mechanics of the lanes.
Great fun bowling and presents
Pretty long wait time. But it was super fun!
Were probably their favorite customers
Come here weekly and I always have a great time
A very friendly place. They could use more seating for non-bowlers.
Not the only bowling ally the May campas has bowling also if $3.50 and $6.50 on weekends during black light bowling.
Needs considerable improvements. Great staff though!
It was a bowl alley it was fine
If there was another place to go to in bozeman. I wouldn't go here for sure. I was having a great time with my dad till we got kicked out because of league. This is pathetic.
Great place.
Best Bowling alley in Bozeman! ....also the only one. Seriously though it is decent. Discount rounds on several nights of the week. Grab a couple pitchers of beer, some balls, sweet sneakers and kick it with your friends. Guaranteed fun. Good music!
If you like bowling, this is the place to come. Because it's the only option! It's not a bad place, lots of fun really, the only issue is they are CASH ONLY no matter what. On top of that, their stupid ATM has fees on top of normal ATM fees so not only are they skipping out on paying charge fees, they're earning money off of you by denying the option. Just be aware, otherwise it's an enjoyable bowling alley.
Cheap bowling and drinks. Occasionally understaffed. Overall it's a good spot
Great for a date or group activities
Ok
The desk staff are rude and inconsiderate!!! I will never come back...Butte and Livingston bowling alleys are worth the drive!!!
Clean environment friendly staff the kids loved it
