We've got the reviews of real people who are buying the services of AMF Eastbrook Lanes (Bowling Alley) near Michigan.
At this moment the business receives a score of 3.8 out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 504 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an feddbacks average is very high, and it is based on a high number of reviews, so we may conclude that the evaluation is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they are happy, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Bowling Alley corresponds to the category of Bowling alley.
We always have a great time at Eastbrook. Tonight was no exception. Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Our server was awesome, very warm and friendly.
The Michigan DeMolay had reserved Lanes for a party. The hospitality of the staff was beyond compare. They were so kind and courteous. They kept the food and drink coming all night. We didn't have to wait for anything. They took care of us and our kids had amazing time there. I would most certainly come back to the bowling alley myself not to mention for Michigan DeMolay too. Thank you!
Very clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend.
Worst bartenders ever. Overpriced food, drinks, and bowling.
Play to your heart's content.
The place is descent and has lots of lanes. I started out my experience like everyone else. walk to the counter, ask if they had any deals going that night. The manager Zack tells me "No." I play the 3 games (I paid 38.00 for me and my gf) I bought and went to the counter to get another game to find out the game only costs me 2.22 versus the full price I paid. I asked him about it and he told me "Oh, I thought it was Wednesday." It would have been half the price if I would have waited 10 min. He would have given me some money back but he set the receipt on the counter and he presists to tell me I must have not grabbed it. Again I'm out of luck. Probably wouldn't recommend this bowling ally just cause there is so many others to choose from. Plus it took 10min for anyone to come to the bar just to order a beer. Definitely not my number one choice.
I'd give no stars if I could. This place and Corp is a complete rip off! $123 USD for 2 games, family of 8. Money grea for the holidays? Or just bad business!
Even short handed the guy working was still amazing and paid for our bowling when we had to wait on our drinks. A+ service
Great bowling alley, lots of lanes, good service.
Lanes and displays are great. We had a wonderful time at the mother son bowling event my son's school put on.
Very clean and the atmosphere was laid back.
Is it weird to say I've had some of my best customer service here? Everyone was friendly and helpful even while they were slammed.
Great place to bowl
Bowling is always fun. Staff is friendly. Food is great. Balls seem to get stuck at the end of the lanes a lot though. Only complaint.
This was one of our summer league stops. Nice shot. Hard corners from time to time. Good people and good fun.
Fun.. Clean and helpful staff way to go!!
Lol at their prices for open bowling. 4.95$ a game per person. $4.95 for shoes. Brought 3 people and asked for 2 games. Lady said $83.95. I did the math. Shoes are$4.95 per game as well. I laughed and left.
Good place to go for a fun time. A little high on weekend prices if you ask me but not so high I wouldn't go again.
Always have fun when I come here!
The staff was great. The bathroom were very dark and could use more light. The menu we had needed a bath. But mu grandkids had a wonderful time.
Good prices
Great place, service wasn't the best, bowling was pretty cheap as well.
Tons of fun, but bowling shouldn't be this expensive
I have been coming here regularly for the past five years for league and open play. When I first started bowling at this facility, I was very pleased with the lanes, prices, food and wait staff, but, over the years, this place has gone down hill. The facilities are dirty, the food is slightly over priced, the lanes are not maintained as well, and the staff has gone down hill. They are slow. Kaley (sorry if I spelt your name wrong) is the one positive of the staff due to her friendliness. I doubt I will be going back for awhile.
Great time... didn't get shot!
No complaints so far
Such a fun atmosphere m we were there for a birthday party and our hostess was fantastic!
Clean..friendly staff..accommodating to child in wheelchair. Food ok...just really expensive...for 6 people to bowl 2 games with shoe rental on a Saturday, it was $98.00..we ordered 3 kids chicken tender baskets some breadsticks and 6 small pops and it was $55.00..I wasn't expecting that. I thought 60 at most...ouch!
Updated, clean and fun bowling area. The scoring systems are easy to use. The food is not very good, but overall this is a pretty nice bowling alley. I would definitely go back.
Tons of lanes. Great staff
This place is garbage. Terrible service. The manager can't seem to get his employees together or get decent ones for that matter. No sense of urgency in any area of the alley or the bar. Waited over an hour to get nachos, for them to say they dont have any... absolutely ridiculous. Place needs to be shut down for a while to get new, reliable, intellectual, respectful employees. The two times came here there has been conflict from indecent individuals for no reason. Get your act together.
Moldy. Microwave food, staff is great... but you might contract Ebola.. beware of a thing called abbie
Prices are pretty high! Times are very limited. Food is expensive for what you get. Staff was very kind
Great bowling alley! My family had tons of fun! Everything is very organized and the lady up front was very helpful. She really went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. The only thing I would change is the food. Incredibly expensive and honestly, wasnt that great. Our breadsticks were still cold and for $20 dollars a pizza, I would expect something more than a frozen pizza. However, overall... great place! We will definitely return, just might eat dinner else where.
Service was rude and lane condition was weak. I also spent about 30 minutes trying to adjust the broken bumpers.
Super fun and great fries!
Terrible. Outrageous prices. It cost our family of 6 over $80 for 2 games of bowling. We will not go back.
Bowling is fine but prices are outrageous. They aren't posted for a reason and take your card as if it's a bar to start a tab.. strange. At $5.99 a game plus $4.50 shoes, I would not recommend.
First time at this location. We were a party of four. We were charged $63 for unlimited games and shoes. Seems a bit much for a Friday night. Location is somewhat hidden, parking lot is pretty big. Several entrances. For a Friday night it was not busy. Staff was very unwelcoming. We ordered four drinks and they were very rude and dismissive. Two ladies working were not happy at ALL! Floor could use a good clean. Bathrooms were a bit dirty. This location is open until 1am. Overall okay bowling alley. Customer service and cleanliness needs improvement for sure! Probably will not be returning.
Great bowling alley! Good food, fair prices, and a nice facility.
Friendly, helpful staff, great food (gluten-free pizza, too!) and it doesn't smell like feet here!
Came here for a fundraiser for Junior Achievement and had a great time. We all went in Star Wars theme and had a blast seeing everyone's creativity with the costumes. The staff was friendly and helpful and our server was quick to keep our drinks full and got our food out quickly! Will definitely return!
Its enjoyable fun I give it 5 star
Last night a group of us 7 went here and while we were purchasing our lanes i noticed how busy Annie was last night and was SO helpful and super cheerful. She was short staffed and informed us that she is available to help us whenever we needed help. I really appreciated her hard work and her customer service skills. Thank you so much Annie!!!
The staff was great, it was very busy and with all the kid birthday parties it was hard to enjoy bowling. All the tables in the front of the lane we were assigned were taken up so I asked to switch, we switched and then that lanes computer was broken, so switched again. The pizza came quick but it tasted like cardboard with cheese. It's expensive if you don't go during a special promotion or grab the Groupon offered. Not motivated to return.
Rip off...dont go. Sooooooo overpriced!
Overpriced. $70 for 2 games of bowling for 4
Pricey the way they charge is to much for what they offer.
My wife and I decided to have a quick little date night and it was great! Over priced for a bowling alley but it was still fun!
We had a lot of fun!
1 star was even to much for this place! Horribly dirty and staff was super rude
Front counter help was very helpful, if you want to order drinks don't we bowled 2 games and only got 1 drink, wait staff sucked. We had to ask for someone to take an order then they didn't come back to ask if would l8ke another round
Plenty of lanes, but can get pretty busy during peak hours. Ok food and drink selection, a little overpriced. Overall a fun way to spend some time with friends or family.
I’m not one to complain. I’d rather find positive things to say, but there’s not much positive to say about this place. Let’s start with when we first got there, my 2 friends and I stood in line for over 20 minutes just trying to get a pair of shoes and a lane, at least 7 people cut in front of us, staff saw it and didn’t care, they catered to their friends. Once we were notified we wouldn’t be able to bowl for several hours, we went into the bar, along the way my friend bumped into a guy by mistake, the man followed us into the bar, threatening to bring his “boys” in and “f***ing us up” the bartender heard the entire thing (there was next to no one in there) sat back & let it play out, texting on her phone the whole time. So we left, for whatever stupid reason, we decided to go back 2 hours later, hoping the jerk was gone. Thankfully we didn’t see him. Took another 20 minutes to get a lane. After we finally got going I went to order food and a pitcher, the bartenders that were in there now we’re rude, couldn’t speak clearly and smelled heavily of weed. There were several individuals who clearly should’ve been cut off, yelling and standing up on their bar stools, the bartenders just laughed fed them more drinks. Once they finally got to me they informed that they were out of almost every tap beer, and we’re not very apologetic. The one positive point I would make was the sampler pladder was pretty good, too bad it took over an hour to get, and the employee brought it to the wrong table, we had to argue with them and show them the receipt that it was indeed ours. I’ve been to this place several times, I use to enjoy myself, but the experience is steadily declining, I won’t be returning. Get some staff that takes care of all your customers fairly and looks out for their safety, can get through a work shift sober, and seriously, it’s customer service, PROFESSIONALISM goes a long way!!!!!
Great bowling alley and a very friendly staff. The food was very good too.
It was hard to find a ball that fit my hand at the right weather weight so I shared with a friend.
Worst customer service ever. They are so under staffed and completely rude. Will avoid this place at all costs.
Eastbrook lanes is by far the best bowling alley I have been to. The staff are all very sweet and want to help resolve any issues. My bartender, Sam, was very helpful in helping me choose a drink last week. The other staff members were great, the building was clean and the new lanes are beautiful!
Been a decade since I'd been back but it's even better than the before
Games are a bit pricey but fun nonetheless. Good food and service, will be coming back.
We had a great time got 2 lanes for a couple hours
Broken lanes. Broken ball return. Severely undercooked doughy pizza.
Really not good service
Lanes were very good and we have fun, but the customer service could be better, service is just to basic compare to other bowlin places.
Great family fun, good food and drinks
Tables are usually dirty. However it is always a fun place to be at to play with your friends or family.
Great service
Went glow bowl for my nephew's bday. It was a blast. I'm glad this place is still here.
Lanes are a bit dry, and prices are a bit high, but playing in a league there is fun and gets you some nice discounts.
Unfortunately I the kitchen was out of commission but the kids still had fun
My company held our Christmas party here. The food was good. Bowling was as expected.
Nice place but concessions are quite expensive.
Dump. Needs a makeover. Needs someone at the cafe counter to actually give a rip. Bad carpet, bad paint, old fixtures. Almost gave a second star for the lanes, but the ball return failed six times in 20 frames. Bowl elsewhere.
Staff is great but the food and drinks are set by corporate and are really random.
This place was just okay. They have lots of lanes that were used for some type of leagues so it was busy. Remember, shoes aren't included in the price there's a small note indicating that at the bottom of the price sheet.
Before telling me the prices, they asked for my credit card. They charged me 50$ for 4 games with rental shoes. Good service but terrible pricing.
They have many lanes. Looks like on some nights (or every night?), they leave one side lit up with normal lights and the opposite side is dimmed with glow lights. That makes it pretty fun, especially with kids. Enjoyed the music and bar service as well.
Callie is the biggest reason for my review. My husband and I bowl here on a league on Sundays and my son bowls on Saturdays. Not only does she ALWAYS acknowledge us, even when she isnt working, she also has our orders memorized and brought to our table before we even order. She is honestly the best server/worker my husband and I have known in almost any location that we've frequented. They have definetely updated since we started here, but the main reason we will keep coming around is Callie.
Food and drinks and the bowling experience were great!! But their music was not the best, but not the worst either. Still a fun time!!
Lots of fun. Absolutely excellent service. The lady's lav is super dark. It could use some lighting. Freaked out the littles a bit.
Wasn’t the greatest or the cleanest. Also, we were turned away another time because of too many bowlers and not enough lanes...best to call ahead!!
Plenty of lanes and good food
Huge bowling space. No pins reset issue that you see with other alleys.. Non stop fun with beer and friends. Perfect place for an evening fun.
Like the new updated scoring system. Food is decent, price is straight. Service can be a little slow but they're working hard and so nice.
Always a good place to go. The employees always want to help resolve problems of any kind and it shows they hire great people for this busy place. They have great wings, gotta try the wings!
Nice atmosphere but extremely over priced
Venue was relatively clean and the equipment was fine. The facility was understaffed at the time (and the sign at the time noted "help wanted") and we had to find the employee to pay. The ambiance was great.
good place, it does get busy especially evenings on the weekends and they do reservations but really only for large groups
Fun times, great atmosphere. The only downside for me was that the heaviest bowling ball they had was 14lbs. I typically use 16.
Great time slot to do good food great music and lights the kids love it adults were having fun too
We had a lot of family fun
Bad food, rude staff, counter lady was on her cellphone and ignored us for 10 minutes, never coming back
Not bad, they make some great Long island ice teas, but I do feel the bowling prices are a bit high.
First time visiting this place we had fun,Yes this is where we will be going i love bowling
Eastbrook lanes is a beautiful bowling alley. They have new scoring, a very clean facility oh and did I mention delicious food and tasty drinks. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. I'll definitely be back!!!!
Took the family, had a great time. The place was clean, and friendly service.
I took a field trip of 65 students here and they did such a great job! It has to be one of the best and easiest field trips in Grand Rapids - the kids loved it too!
Expensive, dirty, and bad service. Typical AMF run center.
I bowl on a league so my experience is a little different than someone who would bowl for fun. However, some lanes are a little wonky and the ball return gets stuck depending on the lane. Waitresses are cool and nice but don't really go to the tables too often. Not a super fabulous experience but not terrible either.
Fun for families and friends
Thank you for great service.
Went bowling..lanes we're good. They were out of a lot of food at the concession l, but it was right after the new year.
Had so much fun at this place.
Me and my family were treated mediocre! We stood in line only to be told that we were in a lane that was not open. Then we had to wait behind new comers. There wasn't even a lane closed sign up and the person attending the other lane saw us waiting. We ordered food and drinks which was brought to us while we waited 25 minutes for the lane to be adjusted. Then another 15 when the lane shut down again. We paid for two games I ordered another pitcher of beer and water for the kids...we were two plays in when I ordered and then on the 9th we still didn't have our drinks. This alley gets a 2 star...just because the kids had fun.
Great place very friendly staff. I recommend bowling there.
Great service great lanes
Had fun but edge of lane was sticky
Went there for few parties. Food was awesome and we all had fun.
Loved bowling here, Abbie the manager was super nice and brought me the best mozzarella sticks
Nice place to bowl.
My kids and I had a blast
I was appalled at the price of bowling! Very shady, and a money grab! Also the food was absolutely awful!
They just expanded the menu, and have new lanes, very good fun place.
It is a good bowling alley but the only thing is that the sinks in the bowling alley weren't working
Fun but food greasy
Honestly, the employees that work at this alley are super nice and really awesome people, the lanes are okay, but whoever is at the top running this entire business is dumber than anything. Corporate is forcing this place to be ran a certain way that just doesn’t work for who actually is coming in there. So when corporate comes around everyone has to put on a big show and it’s ruins it for the regular people that give their money to this business. On top of that, this place has its daily special deals (especially Tuesday and Thursday) which are important considering AMFs are grossly overpriced and yet this place is always scheduling events and random things that last either until close or an hour before it which is not nearly enough time to bowl more than a couple games. And during the summer when they have their pass that they really force you to get you can’t even use it. Basically, employees are great but business owner/corporate sucks. They don’t care about their customers or loyalty at all.
Bowl a league here and it's always great. Whenever I come on the weekend I seem to catch an attitude from the little lady behind the front counter about my league discount! Very frustrating!
I went there with my residents from group home. Friendly and patient staffs served people that has mentality challenging
They make it very difficult to find the pricing. Otherwise a fine bowling experience. No complaints.
nice clean...food was bowling alley food..but overall nice spot ...grandchildren enjoyed....
Great place to work very great place to eat definitely get a drink while you're there and bowl a couple of games my whole experience was great look forward to seeing you there
This place has been around since I was a young child, over 30 years, and I have great memories with friends, family, leagues and events growing up at this place. It has become one of the worst bowling alleys currently. It seems to be more into the drinking scene/bar like atmosphere than a family place. Prices are absolutely the highest anywhere in the state. Over $5 per game at times and the old worn out shoes aren't worth one cent. Employees are miserable, lazy and cuss in front of our children. Not a family oriented place. More of a bar with drunks cussing, yelling and no regard for others. Definitely will never bowl there again the way it is currently.
Had a blast here. Great for the family and having fun. Decent food but not why we went. Love the high tech scoring and fun.
Nice place to have fun. It's a clean environment. Staff is nice.
Terrible experience. No prices posted anywhere, and our party got ripped off terribly, with 200$ for a couple hours of games. Don't go here. Terrible service and a huge rip off
Fun deals after 7pm is the way to go!
Part of the Jr Sr All Stars Bowling League here. Best bowling league I've ever gotten into.
Staff was friendly...fun night
Food was great! Better than expected.
It eas good. The girl that checked us in needs a personality. And wow a bit pricey for a Sunday afternoon. But nice place to Bowl
Friendly staff, we went here looking for pool tables and really enjoyed ourselves
Huge! Great staff! Below average mechanical inturuptions. A little pricy, but have special discounted times and leagues that make up for it. Up to date scoreing, with fun themes! I def recommend!
Like a throwback to my past. Went Bowling here when I was a kid, took a few dates here Bowling when I was growing up. Eastbrook Lanes is one of the few places that hasn't changed since I was young. Now I enjoy Bowling a few games here with my son. A nice laid back place to Bowl.
My 9 year old's birthday here was perfect. The time went by really quickly. 8 screaming kids.. went home happy. Very friendly atmosphere, staff was helpful.
Lanes are well maintained, staff is great, but the food is quite expensive
Super cheap , great deals and plenty bowling lanes !
Lots of bowling lanes. However, the place seem relatively unclean
Prices are high and the way they charge is a bit ridiculous. However, my family and I had a fun night. Don't buy food haha pizza cost $19.00 for 8 or so slices.
Wayyyyy overpriced. Not worth it.
Great place for kids to learn the game.
The staff was so great with a birthday party I attended I purchased a $50.00 gift card for my nephew's Christmas break.
Great place we bowled late night and they allowed us to bowl as long as they could before the had to absolutely close the lanes because of closing time....
What you might expect. 4 stars is not a criticism..
It was fun. Great experience. Cheesiest pizza pepperoni pizzas! Graet place to hang out.
Its nice they just need better music selection it kind killed the mood. Everything else was great.
Always Pretty Fun but food is a little bit pricy
Fun
Nice place. Great music and a fun staff.
Good place if you want to bowl. Lots of lanes and it's pretty clean inside. Lots of different balls to choose from.
Ok probably the third best bowling alley in town.
Really nice place to bowl, good drinks and food
Bowling was fun but food is TERRIBLE!!!
It's a pretty nice bowling alley that's usually very busy but it's still nice the service is hot or miss though
Had a great time was here for my neice graduation weekend & they had a family bowl day kids for free. We loved it, the chocolate chip cookies were the best , i still talk about them til this day!!! Great times!!!
Pizza was not good at all! The million chunks of garlic in the pizza sauce was very off putting. Make sure you ready before you come to the bowling alley.
Not a bowling expert but everything seemed to be in good condition.
I like how they have new bowling lanes and I like how they oiled them up more, but the rates for bowling are too high and I don’t like having to pay so much money just to practice.
Best bowling alley I have been to. Balls are organized and very easy to find right size and weight. Lanes were great. Food and drinks were great too. Would definitely go back.
