We go here all the time, and I mean like multiple times a week. A year ago, I would have offered a better rating, but they've made some corporate decisions recently that I can't support. Resulting, for example, in them ending a multiple years' long special needs bowling program, to the great sadness of the disabled young adults that loved it dearly. Decisions like that may make sense at some national level, but it doesn't make friends in the community. Many more serious bowlers have relocated to the Auburn AMF (same ownership) due to the distracting big screen TVs and dim lighting at Shrewsbury. They seem to be trying to compete with King bowl in Burlington and Apex in Marlborough, but those are brand new facilities built as party venues. I do like the friendly, helpful staff, the food is above average ... but it's very sad that corporate AMF doesn't seem to realize what a loyal bunch of local folks they have hurt with their recent changes.

I'm in a league at Bowlero, I was told that we had to bowl 2 practice strings each week. I have trying for the last 5 weeks to bowl my practice strings and each week I'm told there are no lanes. I look at the lanes and there were 8 lanes free I ask about the free lanes and they stated that they were taken. OK, so this time I decide to go to the new bar and order a drink and some food. It took over 20 minutes to get my drink and had to ask about my order after 45 minutes waiting on my hot dog. I was told that they make it fresh and home made. I got my food 10 minutes later (50 minutes for a hot dog) The food looked like it came out of a freezer and was microwaved, ( A $10.00 Hot dog) took 1 bite and couldn't finish it. I had been waiting one and half hours and still no one using the 8 free lanes. I went to the counter and asked to speak with the manager and the woman gave me an attitude and a stare as she stated I"M THE MANGER! I asked her how long do you think it takes for a single bowler to roll 2 strings, she replied about 10 minutes a string. I then asked her why I wasn't allowed to bowl and with the same disrespectful attitude reply well I can't give you a lane when 1 is not free. The end result was 8 lanes was free for 1.5 hours and I couldn't bowl because the staff including the manger was more focused on going out for a cigarette break and providing customer service! I will finish this league and never step foot in this establishment again. If you valve customer service and getting something in return for your money don't go to Shrewsbury Bowlero, you would be better off using your money to start a campfire and having a 2 dollar beer in the back yard.

The place is great, the service on the bar and lanes are pretty decent too, but on check out and check in, prepare yourself for a big line. When you are going to check out, and pay your bill, you have to do the same line that you took to reserve your lane. So, Saturday, busy and we had 2 people, checking in , out, and giving shoes. In my opinion you should have an exclusive line for checkouts, that’s too much for just two people to do everything, in only one line.

Bowling service is great. Drinks were made great. Only issue I had with this place is that the Food is a bit pricey for the portion size they provide, especially the nachos. I wouldn't give a thought about the tacos too which were pretty terrible. But other than the lack of good food the place is a nice hangout area for friends to go bowling. They have a great deal on Thursdays for college night bowling 11$ unlimited bowling after 9 with college id

Great place! Our lane was having some troubles with the pin resetter, so they added extra time on for us, and gave each of the 4 kids an arcade card worth $5! I haven't been bowling in years, and will definitely be back soon! SO much fun!

Super fun and a lot of lanes. The drinks at the bar are amazing the house specials specifically but all drinks are great. Has a small arcade for all ages but its definitely not the focal point. The lanes are well maintained and so fun to bowl you wont have time for wack a mole.

The venue itself is decent however the prices are insane! For one game of bowling with 2 adult and two children it was over $100. We had one apetizer and the kids had a small drink. Thats simply way too much for bowling!

This was my first time at this alley and I would not recommend the place to anyone. Very quick summary: Terrible service, nasty bartender, very slippery lanes, but very nice seating and very cool alley. I’ll start by stating the GOOD things about our experience; the bowling alley is the nicest around with nice comfortable red leather couches that seat 4 people comfortably in each lane. Our party had 6 which made it a bit tight of a fit so we asked to be put in two lanes, the gentleman at the front desk accommodated very nicely, which on a Friday night was surprising. The only other GOOD thing about this place was one of their drinks the “Dunk Tank” which serves 4. What made this experience less than satisfying was some/most of the staff members and the service we got. While the rest of my party was waiting in line to pay for our lanes, I inquired about a drinks price since our party was unsure of splitting one of the group cocktails or a pitcher of draft. I was met with a very snood “I need your ID first”, I explained that we were not ordering yet and that I just wanted to know the price and was hit with the same response... okay.. sure, not a huge deal I give her my id and get the price. After we get settled in our lanes three of us go up to the bar and request the Dunk Tank, the same woman responds with “nope, there needs to be four of you” .. not a “sorry but I need there to be four to serve you this drink” just a nope. A little annoying but once again not a huge deal, we grab one of our three other friends to meet the 4 person minimum and order the drink. The drink was 90% ice which is to be expected so the four of us that were drinking finished it in a few sips. 2 FULL GAMES later (a good hour and fifteen minutes) we decide to go back up to the bar to reorder the same drink from the same bar keep and this time was told we could not because we had already ordered one.. firstly I understand the whole system in place; I have worked in restaurants for a majority of my life and some time as a bartender myself so monitoring customer alcohol consumption is ingrained into me, but ONE cocktail per person (three of which are decently sized men) over an hour earlier and we can not order another? Ridiculous business model. Oh wait, there’s more? The last thing i wasn’t too particularly fond of was the combination of very slick floors and worn down shoes they provide, which if either were independent wouldn’t make a difference but together made for a few slips and trips. Admittedly I am an aggressive bowler (not that I slam the ball or hit gutters, I always hit pins but I do bowl fast) without adequate friction to stop my momentum I was slipping very close to the line all night. During our last round I had caught myself from sliding forward by throwing myself to the side since I was trying to avoid a penalty and an employee who had been standing behind us watching our group almost the whole night mind you, comes up to me and tells me in a very undermining tone “you want to try to not go in the lanes” (gee thanks, didn’t know how this whole bowling thing worked, thought it was a touchdown if I carried the ball over the line) Besides the remark it was just super odd he was standing there watching us, at first I thought maybe he’s watching to see if any of our party members without bracelets were drinking (all of us are 21+ but we had 2 designated drivers in case, who were not drinking) but he remained there after our drinks were cleared. Could have also possibly been looking for signs of intoxication but like I stated: one cocktail + 200lb male = ... no more drinks apparently. Overall odd experience, very much wished other alleys had this interior or that this place had semi-professional or even decent staff. Thanks for the read and I hope you don’t have to go through the same.

I came here with my sister and my best friend for a game, honestly loved the vibe, their options in food and cocktails are pretty good! Only thing was that we weren't sure if we had to call the ladies attention for food and drinks or go up to the bar and order it. We only stayed for one game so not much of a big deal but might be annoying if you're there for a few more game. Overall, loved it and will be back!

Fun place to go, but when we were playing our game the scores were all wrong, when someone would get a gutter ball it would give us 3 points sometimes and 4 points other times for no reason. The food was great but kind of pricey and I didn't like how there wasn't an option to order at a counter and we had to wait for an employee to take our order while we were playing our games. Not a terrible experience but could have been better.

Good location and easy accessibility are this places strengths, along with friendly staff and good lanes. Having said that, the prices border on outrageous, especially if you aren't bringing your own shoes. Definitely eat before you come. They do offer good deals past 8 pm most nights, which is the reason I continue to go myself. Overall this is about what you'd expect from a corporately owned alley, consistency at a price.

Place is really awesome but far too over priced in my opinion. Food and drinks are unreasonably priced and the bowling isn't exactly inexpensive either. I'm not exactly a cheap person as such but if you're looking to take someone on a date there (21 and older), be prepared to spend at least $75 - $100.

This place is essentially a 20,000sq ft money printing machine, usually pretty busy, so you’d think they’d be willing to pay more than one cashier at minimum wage at a time, or invest in more than just one register. But no. Not only is it understaffed, the front desk staff is beyond incompetent and disgustingly horrible at communicating with customers in a professional and concise manner. Bowling experience itself is fine, it’s a complete rip off but you probably could’ve guessed that.

Very disappointed of how they treat people with special needs. Miss the old town and country bowl. They always welcomed the special needs with open arms. These douchebags at “Bowlero” will turn them away faster than they walk in. I will never go to this alley ever. I will either go to AMF Auburn, APEX Entertainment in Marlborough, or Pinz in Milford.

They did a great job updating this bowling alley. It's now pretty modern. The service is hilariously bad. I've never been to a place where the waitresses are belligerent and angry. Until now. They are on edge for sure. Makes me wonder if the owner is just a major a hole. I don't know the answer to that. Prep your patience cause the salty wait staff is gonna test you. Outside of that though, it's a nice place to bowl.

I attended a company event here and Bowlero went above and beyond. The theme was 50"s and all the employees dressed and 50's inspired apparal, 1950's music was played and all the video screens displayed movies from 1950's. Buffet cattered food was real good too. The employees were very attentive. Empty cups and and plates were promptly removed upon finishing. Thanks for a great event.

I went here earlier today with a group of my friends. The place itself is nice, it was very big for a bowling alley and had nice leather seats and a pretty decent sized arcade. The downside that really made me not want to come back to this place was the staff serving food and the bartender. Now I just want to start of by saying, everyone in our group is over 21. There were in total six people in our group and two of us decided not to drink. So of course I understood that the staff was watching us to make sure we weren’t drinking since two of us did not get wristbands. Peeping at someone once in a while and completely STARING at them are two different things. They were literally staring at us the entire time, not only the waiter, but the bartender. And I’m not even kidding when I mean staring, I made eye contact with the bartender several times and she was literally burning holes through my body with her eyes. It was honestly painful, because usually when you make eye contact with someone more than once you would think they would stop staring? But nah, I think she wanted to make it clear she was watching us. Once the waiter took all of the empty beer cups off our table, he literally stood at the rail watching us bowl. Mind you, we had unlimited bowling, and weren’t even there that long and he was staring at us the whole time as if we were children in need of supervision. I didn’t come here with my friends to be watched by your staff. I’ve been to plenty of bowling alleys, and your lanes are extra slippery even with the shoes on. I never had this problem anywhere else. My boyfriend accidentally slipped in the lane (literally only the slightlest of a single foot step) and the waiter who was watching us, despite us being done with his service, screams to my boyfriend to not step in the lane. Extremely unprofessional and unacceptable if you ask me. We are all grown adults, trying to have a good time with out disturbance. I suggest you retrain your staff on customer service because honestly that was terrible. For that reason we don’t feel comfortable there and we will choose not to come back here.

There are an unusually large amount of real heavy balls with tiny finger holes indicating the presence of 8 years on steroids, so be warned.

Walking in, the place looked great We were then told their debit and credit was down, so maybe play some arcade games until they reset their servers . So we go to the arcades and games, but can't play those either because of no credit/debit (so why would they tell us to play them?) Eventually, we start bowling, but our lane wasn't properly functioning so all the pins wouldn't be placed there. All around crappy experience. Probably wouldn't go back, despite the place looking nice.

Bowling experience was nice but the customer service is so terrible!!!! I came in with my family and we left just before they closed. When we stepped out. I realized I had forgotten my phone inside. So I was knocking on the door and the staff just kept looking at us and ignoring us!!! We were out in the cold for 10minutes! And I was with my toddlers. They pretended like they didn’t hear us even while staring us in the face! They finally opened it and didn’t even apologize. Definitely won’t be going there again. I was so shocked.

It's nearly impossible to get a lane without waiting for an hour or more or making reservations, but other than that it's a really nice place. The bartender was great, the drinks were fun and surprisingly well made (we expected average bowling alley drinks), and the lanes themselves were obviously really nice, considering the recent remodel.

Nice recent renovations adding arcade area. Big bar, lots of lanes, plenty of parking and easy to find right off route 9. Staff have always been friendly.

Went to kid's birthday party. Was well run and managed.in general a high end bowling establishment. full bar for adults. Very good place I think.

I would've given 5 stars because I love this place as far as cleanliness and what they have to do besides just bowling, but it used to cost like $20-40 a person to bowl. Here it cost me, my hubby and another couple like $300 or more to play two games of bowling, one drink each and a giant pretzel. And it was over an hour wait to bowl, and almost as long to get anyone to take our order. So we didn't bother getting anything other than one drink each and a pretzel. Maybe I'm wrong, but that seems like a pretty steep price to me!

Great lanes (smooth), speedy service, great game selections in the arcade but a little high on cost. Bathrooms are always absolutely disgusting, I would have taken pics but no one wants to see that kind of grossness.

Went there as company outing and had a blast. Really like all the changes they made to place. The pizza was pretty good and I really enjoyed playing some of the arcade games with friends

The bowling alley itself is great and it's so nice that it's electronic. There were some mess up made by the machine however such as not letting balls go through and not counting my friends strike. Overall the bowling was decent. However the biggest reason I'm giving it four stars is because the food prices are outrageous. Who is going to pay $20 for a soft pretzel? One burger was a giant burger and it cost almost $50, and when we ordered the coolie ice cream desert it was super small. Delicious, but the size was no match for the price.
