I gave 5 stars mostly because of the customer service. My family was in town and we wanted something to do. We bought Groupons for bowling here. We didn't check to see if it was a league not before we went and it was. Anyway the young lady at the desk was so kind to see if any of the bowling alleys nearby would accept our Groupons. She really did not have to do this. We wanted to bowl all together and a kind group of ppl was willing to exchange lanes so we could do just that. The staff was friendly and helpful and so we're the patrons.

Visited the pro shop for a gift for my son. The service was fine. There was a great deal on bag, shoes and ball for $150. They had the ball and bag I wanted in stock, we only had to order the shoes which arrived the following Tuesday.

Me and my 5 year old son went bowling there. Several leagues were scheduled to play on the evening we was there. So there were limited lanes and of course the lane we were on the bumper didn't work. I spoke to the three of the employees that was at the counter where you pay at but I was told that the bumper is broken. I asked could we move to another lane and the answer was "no" so I ended up getting a refund and we left. The employees were more involved and concern about the league than anything.

Employers are always delightful, and now with better Lanes, better food, in the lounge, not to mention and awesome arcade, this place makes my Sunday morning even better. Saw advertising on groupon thought it would be fun...place looked nothing like the pictures, didn't play good music, drove 45 minutes in the rain an was very unsatisfied. Group of seniors who bowl every Monday - customer service is up and down depending on who is on duty. Today, one of the men on the crew took a broom to the ceiling filters - scattering dust and debris - while we were bowling. Already dealing with allergies, I asked if he thought it might have been polite to warn us in advance and he thought it was funny! He continued to the other filters while bowlers moved their food & drink. Inexcusable...

I came in with my family, and we waited in line for like 15 min. Just to have the lady tell the guy, who came in after us, that they have a lane for him. But then told us that they didnt havre any other lane available for another 30 to an hour. Asked to talk to the manager and he was rude as well. Not going back. Would not recommend.

Came out to bowl for a Friday night of unlimited bowling thinking it would be a good time. It wasn’t. It was a horrible experience. Started out on lane 5 which the ball return didn’t work on. Complained to the staff who didn’t care that much about the issue and did nothing to correct it. Then asked to change lanes then put us on lane 14. Got through about a half game and the lane has a “catastrophic failure”. Got switched to another game and finished our night. Overall don’t waste your time or your money and your patience with this place. Would not recommend and take your services elsewhere. Unsatisifed customer.

I am a bowler who visits Normandy often, but in my visit yesterday I was very unhappy with the customer services. There is a new young man working the services desk, who knows nothing about customer services. My visit was Sunday Jan. 3, 2016 at 3pm. Me and a group of friends met to practice, But the man working the service desk would not even take the time to do his job. We was just standing at the services desk as he keep looking at us as he talked at the food counter for about 10 to 15 min. wow I could not believe it. Normandy is my home bowling ally, and I am writing this post hoping someone in management would take a look at the customer service overall. I work hard for my money and I will not spend it on poor services. That's why on Sunday we took our money and walk out. I wonder how often dose this happen.

Came in for unlimited bowling at 9, assuming it was until midnight like the website says. After one game, the lady from the front desk came out and said “Oh by the way, we close at 10.” I guess it doesn’t really matter, I left after a series. My ball was literally dripping oil, it felt like the machine laid a pattern all the way to the pins. It was next to impossible to get any of my equipment to make the slightest move towards the pocket. I felt like a drunk college kid throwing it hard and straight. Maybe that’s why they call it college night......

So the kids wanted to go bowling for the first time since we lived in Hawaii. You would think that prices in Hawaii were high until we went bowling here. At nearly $7 per game in a non-peak time I was a little take aback by the price. The woman at the counter was very friendly and helpful as we checked in to the lanes. That was about the only positive thing I can say about these lanes. There was no reason, with 20 other open lanes to put two groups together one of three and another of 6 on the same pair of lanes. It's like having an empty airplane and then 10 people on the fight are seated next to each other. Starting off there were still balls in the gutters before we even through our first ball. The lane porter was tried once to get the child bumpers up for either lane and didn't bother to try a little harder to get them, just walked away like the request meant nothing. About every 4 bowlers, the ball would get stuck and not come back. At one point we had to wait nearly 10 minutes for a ball return. To top it off the lane porter decided to be mouthy about it saying to the "mechanic" it hasn't been that long, these bowlers think 2 minutes is like 20 minutes. However, I had timed each time we had to call for a ball return and we were at 10 minutes when they finally decided to get the balls returned. So I mentioned it to them that it was inappropriate to trash the customers about their wait times when the customer could prove the amount of time the waited. At which point they became mouthier saying "we are just doing our jobs", and I replied "trashing customers is not part of your job." Normally I won't ever post anything about poor service or a bad employees, I will just never go there again without giving them a chance to get us back as a customer. I do not recommend you even give this place a chance. Super pricey, superior attitude, not worth your time.

Too cramped. Half of the lanes are out of service because the leagues want them oiled and unused before they play. All it takes is 2 crowds of kids birthday parties and you'll wish you brought earplugs and leave. Incidentally no refunds on prepaid games, but they'll offer free game passes. Claim they're not busy on weekday mornings...well, some of us work, so I don't know if we'll ever use that.

The facility has up graded its bowling equipment, however they no longer have working video monitors that show sporting events, news and other current event that customers have become use to. Kind of a boring night out at Brunswick Normandy when bowling for now.

We came to an empty bowling alley expecting smooth service. At the very start of our game the lane started to malfunction with the pins and the balls. after asking the cashier for a discount she told us we’d have to pay full price because we were “halfway through the game” when it was a struggle even getting to that part. It would’ve been courteous to offer a coupon an apology, perhaps even a discount but nothing. Disappointing and I will NOT be a patron of this location again.

The hours on the website and google are wrong. College night is also only for kids with ID, which is acceptable. It doesn't say that on the website. My kids didn't have school on Friday 1/25 and we thought they were open until 11 because thats what the website says that. When I mentioned that the kid working the counter basically told me that they only "follow whats on the door" H was pretty snippy about it. How would I know whats on the door looking at a website? Then, scoring was not working correctly and he was pretty inpatient fixing it. Not a great experience amd the kids noticed too.

Great environment, great lanes, friendly and accommodating staff. The alleys were clean and modern. There are a variety of balls of different weights and colours to choose from. They have a nice snack bar with table service. I had apple cider beer and it was really nice. They also have decent food and a nice bar with great service. Most times, it gets really busy, so I'd advice you check availability via a phone call before you dash out. This place is great for groups and good for leagues. You'd love it :) We bowled a few more games.

This place has been open since I was a kid, and hasn't really hit any major updates since then. Despite the fact that it's kind of in a state of disrepair, it manages to connect the Columbia area with a wonderful community and family gathering place. Pizza is mediocre, but the bowling is great and it's a fun atmosphere for people all around. There are a lot of coupons online if you join their club.

How is it that you can buy a picture of beer and not by picture of soda. We were on Lane 21 and I'll balls was ending up on aisle 1 21 stopped all night we were 30 minutes behind the other two lanes that we had. when I asked to buy picture soda to manager said you have to talk to me you don't have to talk to her about that. He had 18 people there and we planned on coming back but not not there. The pizza was okay the quesadilla was excellent the two hot dogs and the bread was horrible. The guy at the counter was good damage control. House shoes were sticking and definitely wasn't sliding

We went for a team building event. Our supervisor called in advance to reserve some lanes the day before but they didn't have any info when we arrived. The scoring system is antiquated but works fine after you get it sorted. No issues with the lanes. Standard bowling alley fare.

I was robbed by the manger named Mustafa Eitani. A machine that accepts cash for coins is not well lit and makes you think you can choose how much coins to purchase but takea your entire $20 bill. I went to the General Manager and he is very rude and refused to assist me and a disrespectful manager. To make things worst, I placed over $18.00 in coins by the table counter and he took my money. Do not go here as long as he is the general manager. Worst in customer service.

Absolutely TERRIBLE! I have never given a one star rating but this deserves it. One guy working the cash register for a Friday night. On top of that a 20 minute wait which would've been fine if the bar was open. But it wasn't. There were probably 30 people standing around waiting for lanes when the bar area could have been open for us to enjoy. The computer screens at the lanes did not work. Take my advice and NEVER come here. I will never be coming back. Pikesville AMF is better in every way and is only 17 minutes away.

Our lane broke 3 times. By the end of the night we were on the other side of the alley from having to switch lanes so often. The music hasn’t changed in over 2 years. It took them forever to tell us we had to move. You better be ready to drink that’s the only thing that’s gonna get you through the night. 0.0 go to Dave and Busters and get hammered there.

A fun place to bring the family on a rainy afternoon. Everything is automated so keeping score is simple. They even have an apparatus that prevents gutter balls!We had 4 bowlers. With shoe rental and the price for 1 game totalling $36, it is not an inexpensive afternoon. Of course, everyone wanted to play again for an additional $18. I did not check to see if there were any coupons around.

The location is easy to find. I haven't been to this center for over 2 years, and I recently had the opportunity to go back. We did the two hour unlimited bowling. The deal itself is reasonably priced. However, valuable time were wasted due to lane issues. I cannot speak for the other lanes, but the lanes (30 & 31) we were assigned to had issues. The balls were not returning and the scores were not posting correctly. The touchscreen for one of the two lanes did not respond. Trying to get these issues resolved took up unnecessary time off the clock. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.

It would be nice if they would indicate on their website that they're busy and unavailable and their folks behind the counter including the manager could be nicer & more helpful.
