The bowling frame of our lane kept giving us issues. We had to reset it every 10 rounds. If your party is bigger than 4, it'll get quite congested in the sitting area of the just 1 lane. The ambience is amazing and it gets busy at weekends in the evenings. We visited this place because we had a Groupon.

Dinner with family and daily specials! This could easily be a girls night out to a date night. Drinks are good. Food is good. Every kid’s party we’ve attended has been absolutely stellar. I love walking in for a random time and seeing it busy. Let’s support this walkable neighborhood gem.

This is a nice-sized bowling alley, and I was able to get a discount with my college ID. There's a bar, and I like the menu options for food. It's a great spot for a family function or a good time with friends.

They've recently remodeled this bowling alley and it's very nice. The staff is very attentive and pleasant. Their food is quite good also. I recommend this place for large groups, dates, or just going for a couple drinks and bowling by yourself.

Overall good, but with a few issues. The ball return rarely fully returned a ball to the rack, it ended up just peeking out of the hole which is annoying and potentially dangerous. Other thing is the food seemed like an afterthought. The giant pretzel came with two dipping sauces, mustard and cheese. That sounds like it's supposed to be, but it was regular yellow mustard and cheese meant for tortilla chips with little peppers and such in it. Neither go with a soft pretzel. We asked for something else and were brought honey mustard. Also not a good combo. The pretzel was just ok on it's own, but really needed a real dipping sauce for it to be good.

We've come here a few times over the past decade. They are almost done with some worthwhile upgrades, including an expanded menu. The staff was very nice (especially the Friday bartender), but it was clear the folks at the check in desk were still learning the ropes. We were definitely disappointed that the arcade -- which is small but awesome -- was not working. We look forward to coming back soon, when hopefully the upgrades will be finalized.

The lanes don't seem to be straight, the balls did not get returned to us so we had to ask someone working there to get them for us. One time I knocked over 8 pins, and all of them came back on my second turn. For this price, I was hoping for a better experience. I won't come back here for some time.

Our lane was not keeping score correctly, was clearing pins when it shouldn't be, adding scores when it should and shouldn't be. You are supposed to be able to order drinks at your lane, but because the bar tender was never at the bar he never saw the order coming in. Therefore you have to go find him to place your order. Finally the food we ordered was both burned and late. Never go here!!!

Had a fun time. Only thing was that I wasn't informed ahead of time that $2.22 Tuesdays meant $2.22 per person, per game. We were only told that it was per game. It didn't bother me much because there was only 3 of us, but if you have a full game, I think this is important to know.

the worst place you can ever go to bowl at. The customer service is terrible and very rude and disrespectful. The lanes are old, the ball kept getting stuck and missing pins. When asked they werent help fun. Dont recommend if you are trying to have good time.

Phenomenal specials, all the lanes worked great. Very modern with the ability to order right at your seats. Comfy bench seating instead of spinning metal chairs. I don't know if it was a good night or the chef or what but the first words out of my mouth about the taco Tuesday special was "these have no business being this good". 2.22 for a smaller taco is a little pricey but absolutely amazing. Plenty of stock of ball variety, clean facilities, solid bowling experience. Arcade is a little small but let's be honest, you're here to bowl.

Fun times but the score board was not accurate. Sometimes knock down 7 pins, it'll give you a strike...knock down all of the pins it'll give you a gutter ball! We still had fun, just wish the score board was working properly.

This place is just nextdoor ro us, we go there when weather is not the best and we want to go do some activity with little fun and drink, we don't worry if we get tipsy as we can just walk back home. Very crowded in weekends and a bit pricey

This place is a dump. The lanes are not regulation, they aren't oiled, and they are very dirty. I brought my own ball and a brand new pair of bowling shoes. When we were done the shoes were filthy and gummies from all of the dirt on the floor. (See attached picture). It has been so long since they cleaned the place there are dust bunnies. (See attached picture).I spoke with Andrew about how dirty my shoes were and he told me that the person who rented the lane was told that a person should not use their own balls or shoes. I asked if that was because the place was so filthy that it would ruin a person's shoes or ball. He couldn't actually tell me why, I stead he just going in a circular argument that the person who rented the lane was told. My brother in law rented the lane and was not told. I will never recommend this place, and if it wants to be a dump then stop charging premiums prices. I am seriously considering further action to get replacement shoes because this place was beyond disgusting.

A place to bowl and have fun, but out of the way. They can do better drink wise and arcade wise. Bowling was fun though ! E. Also after reading other comments, the bar was not good. They were teaching a new bartender which I understand, but she made a 4 count in bad increments which actually made it a 2 ( or 3) count (basically she didnt hold the bottle 90 degrees and the 'teacher' kept saying not yet but kept counting). Then proceeding to overcompensate with mixer.

Had a good time with friends here. We ate Wings with Sweet Chili sauce, a couple of Cheesy burgers and an Alley sampler, our food was piping hot and fresh when it came out, add ice cold beer with a positive vibe to our bowling games we had a blast. Definitely recommend hanging out here. They have a full bar and decent food selection beyond any old alley we've ever been to. With a positive atmosphere, good music, cool arcade games, nice lanes, great food, cold drinks make for an awesome getaway in Bethesda.

Hated everything about this place. The lanes worked very poorly, we had to have someone fix our malfunctioning lane 3-4 times each game we played. It was so bad we tried to switch lanes but the second one was just as bad. The only things worse than the lanes were the employees. They attempted to charge me for twice as many games as I actually played. It took 30 minutes for them to understand that they were over changing me. Any bowling alley is better than this place.

Check in was good, was told there was an hour wait but went back up to the counter and a lane was available. Bowled two games, asked for water three times and couldn’t get anyone to bring them. Went up to the bar and was told the bar was closed, go sit down and someone will be with you. I asked for someone to come to the lane and 15 minutes later someone arrived. We asked for water again and didn’t get it. Went to the other bar and finally got two waters. It shouldn’t be so difficult to get some hydration while I’m getting my bowl on. Party of 4 Saturday night 8:30 pm.

Went toddler bowling with two other couples this past weekend. Was NOT the place to bring your kids - even around 6-7pm. Service was extremely slow even when it wasn't busy, and they ran out of multiple dishes we ordered, only to find out 3-45 min later. Some of the staff was very nice, and the kids had a good time - so that was good. That said, don't waste your time here unless you're a teenybopper or college kid who doesn't care about decent customer service.

Interesting yet convenient location. The staff are friendly and helpful and will eagerly assist with any confusing matter. The booths are spacious, and the alleys are only a few steps away. 2 alleys correspond to each booth, but the rent per each alley is separate and fluctuates depending on the day of the week and time. Bowling shoes are required, though fortunately the price for them is fixed throughout the week. The atmosphere is pleasant with distinct retro vibes. Naturally the lighting is a bit dim. There is also a food/ drink bar, and an arcade. Overall, a great way to spend an afternoon or host a party.

Environment has potential to be a great place for adults but the bartender who served us was terrible. I shouldn't have to continously ask for my change especially when its over $20 of change. Have yet to receive a receipt. Id rather have service from little ratatouille that ran by the lane. Other than those 2 occurrences, everything else was cool.

Nice lighting in the lanes area. Sufficient amount of space for playing. Bar area, as well as restrooms looks very outdated. The carpet in the very last lane over by the wall was very sticky to walk on, and it felt like it has experienced a massive spill of five large cups of sweet tea. This place could definitely benefit from a major face lift, inside and out. However, location is great, right near Bethesda downtown.

Great experience had a great time bowling, great atmosphere. Lost a star because of TERRIBLE service. Our waitress, Emily T, was rarely coming by. We observed her tapping other people on the shoulder when bringing food and walking by lanes that needed help and wouldn’t say anything. She asked us multiple times if we were ready to close our food tab (I suspect this was because she wanted two tips on one lane) when we were still bowling and ordering drinks. The lane next to us had to walk to the bar to get drinks because server did not help them after 10-15 minutes of waiting and acted as if we were inconviencing her. Overal, great experience besides the service. We would definitely recommend Bowlero and come back again. Hopefully having better service!

I was there for the grand opening which was great but my server who was Ervin was intoxicated and I dont know if his managers knew or not. But it was the worst experience being there. He placed my food order, my food went to the wrong table. It was sad and bad for business. I wont be coming back anytime soon unless Bree is my server.

The only thing that stopped me from giving them 5 stars is that the bathrooms were not clean. We walked in at a time when only one or maybe two lanes were occupied, I am sure they had staff at hand that could have checked the bathroom before the afternoon/evening rush.

Went with a group of friends on Saturday night. We waited from 6 pm until 8 pm for us to get a text saying our lane is ready. We did leave the premises at 7:30 pm to get some sushi. When we got back around 9 we got a lane right away. When we were waiting it seemed like a couple of lanes were open which is always a bit annoying, but who knows if those lanes were ready or not. Overall it was a fairly average experience. I would recommend you go on a week night to avoid the crowd and waiting for an awful long time.

What you would expect at a bowling alley, but poorly trained staff who didn’t really “get” what the customer needs/wants. Staff on phones and chit-chatting with each other. Great bowling alley. A lot has changed since I was a kid when I had to do all the scoring by pencil and paper. With large screen TV's, a full bar, arcade, and kitchen this is a fully equipped alley. The staff was friendly and prices were reasonable comparatively.

Desperately wants to be an upscale, night club bowling alley, does not really achieve the effect... but you'll still pay the rates typical of a 300 or the like. Go to the real thing and spare yourself (pun not intended) the disappointment.

Threw my sisters baby shower here and absolutely loved it. I will say for the price I thought the space we had would be closed in and there would have been more food. We ordered enough for 40 people but it was barely enough for 20. But that didn't even matter to me because the service was Awesome! The manager, Guy, did an awesome job of making sure everything was to our liking and we had everything we needed. The other staff were also very friendly and helpful. Good service is important to me and I would go back just based on that.

This place is a mess. Does anyone actually work here or care? I took my family here for bowling and dinner. I can't rate the food, as over the course of 90 minutes almost never saw a waiter and never managed to flag down anyone to take an order for food or drinks. Apparently you have to tackle someone here to get service. In terms of the bowling, this place is clearly poorly maintained. Our lane frequently malfunctioned, blocking gutter balls and leaving them out on the lanes, as well as randomly spitting pins out into the alley, and we couldn't find anyone to help remove them (this wasn't just my lane, it was happening in nearby lanes as well). It just got to the point where we gave up in the middle of a game as it just wasn't fun, and we left with two bowling balls and one bowling pin still stuck in the gutter (although the experience was so ridiculous that it was sort of comic relief). Also, if you actually care about the quality of lanes and bowling (I don't particularly), our lane was very clearly significantly warped. Finally, there wasn't a speck of hand sanitizer to be seen anywhere, but that's the least of their issues. The one positive is that when I mentioned our lane malfunctioning when I went to pay, they gave us our 2nd game for free, so there's that at least.

This place uses laminate wood floorings instead of hardwood+oil. No oil, I wouldn’t recommend bringing your own bowling ball, it leaves marks and scrapes all over. The approach is way too slippery. This is a purely party place, if you’re looking for some decent bowling, I would recommend somewhere else. Not to mention that this place is ridiculously overpriced. Especially on Saturdays! They don’t offer refunds so we were stuck with playing 1 more game than we originally wanted. I would not come here again any time soon :/

We called ahead to make sure we could get a lane. The representative on the phone told us that the only way to reserve a lane was to pay $135 for a lane fee. We put our names in, but when we arrived we found out that we could pay per game, which would have been much cheaper. They refused to give us the cheaper rate. They also served us skunked beer. Overall it was an overpriced and not a pleasant experience. We wished they hadn't deceived us on the phone.

The staff is amazing. Always friendly and smiling. There's a bar and an arcade with a decent amount of games. More than I've ever seen in a bowling alley arcade before. I go here for a league weekly and while the staff is great and we always have a good time, the lane maintenance seems to be lacking. Each week there always something going on with the ball return, or pins not resetting properly or frames just resting completely on the second ball. It's random. Also, the lanes don't seemed to be oiled, at all. If they fixed the lane issues it would be a wonderful place to hang. I mean if you aren't that serious of a bowler or not that hung up about pin accuracy, then yeah, its a good place to go.

Every time I come here, I have a great time. On Tuesday's they have 2 dollar Tuesdays, and either Friday or Saturday there's flat rate bowling. The are currently remodeling, but that doesn't affect bowling. Make sure you try the LoveMe Tenders - they are soooo good.
