I love that they have left everything old school. My grandson had to have his party there because he loves that he can hold the little balls.

This place is a classic. 20 lanes with candle pins. You can order food and drinks, including beer. Prices are reasonable and they are there to help if you have any questions. Put that big ball down and give small ball a try!

It's candlepin bowling, what do you expect. Sometimes, in the summer, it's open depending on the weather. They gave a place to buy snacks and booze. I enjoy going here.

I used to love going here, but today I went with my friend and the guy there was cold. He didn't smile once, and he gave us an attitude when I asked a question about the scoring machine, and told me to read it my self. Terrible service... not coming here again. We went 5/28/16.

Well... I mean its what you would expect. The cute old place just isnt popping and there for half of the bowling alleys lights were off... And all players were crowded next to each other... So while there were a million lanes ..each group was right next to each other making it feel claustrophobic. Hard to have any private conversation. The bowling balls felt sooooo dirty. I ran to the bathroom to wash my hands before paying as did my hubs lol. It was fun because i like bowling and i won but... It was kind of sad...

Candlepin bowling with the feel of a bowling alley as opposed to feeling like a tourist trap. The food is fried heaven with a great veggie burger for 3.50

Bowl there every week. Fun is to have. Almost like playing golf. Either your on target or your not.

I have been coming up to main my entire life and never went in here until just a week ago. I'm so busy enjoying all the sights and sounds of Maine that I never wanted to be inside but this will now be something that I'll do on my trips because it's enjoyable fun to do and there are some very nice people running this place

Great and friendly staff! Took our adults with developmental disabilities and they were very helpful & patient with our disorganized group. Warm and friendly atmosphere, we will definitely be back!

The Scoring confused us a little cause the last time I bowled they were still using paper and now it's Computerized but once we figured it out we had Fun and would do it Again hopefully

Scott Nickerson

Nice fun night at fair price. Professional staff clean facilities.

True Maine tradition! This is an owner operated and in the store kind of small business particular to Maine. The relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices make this a great go to fun, sport, or Family activity. I highly recommend this authentic institution!

Came here with my 3 year old son. We rented shoes and got onto a lane. He didn't even throw one ball and was nervous wanting to leave. I understand paying for the shoes, but being charged for a game as well just seemed a bit much. Eapecially as they were aware of what happened. Overall. I will not return.

I'm not a fan of semi-manual scoring. This place is okay if you like candlepin bowling and like a more vintage feel. I can't think of anything that sets it apart. It's okay.

A small-ball bowling alley with a slightly outdated feel. They've got some upgrades to their scoring system, but it still requires a person to score, and you have to remember after each frame to reset the pins by pushing a button on the ball return. The food is average for a bowling alley, and the staff is incredibly flexible for events and for helping out. There's a small area for arcade games, and a small area for equipment sales. Great lanes, great people, and from what I've heard, a good league experience as well.

Johnny Opinion

We got some of the biggest attitude from a staff that I've ever experienced at this place. We came here as a group for the first time for something fun and new to do. This place is obviously popular with leagues and the retirees sec. The place is nostalgic and outdated, but we were having a good time. Then, one of my friends asked for some help with the scoring machine, which is extremely outdated and unintuitive to use. The guy working there basically dressed down my friend for "making a mistake." When my friend asked for some clarification about what he meant, the guy kept asking if my friend could read the directions on the screen. When my friend said yes, the man asked him to read it aloud to him. My friend finally told the guy that he was being very rude, and the man backed off. I was just in utter disbelief about the treatment my friend received. It is some of the most rude and condescending service I have ever experienced. We finished our one game but felt way too uncomfortable to stay. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Night candlepin bowling. To me the 4 of us, that were over 50, had trouble with the darkness and strobe lights. It looked cool but we're couldn't see the alignment arrows well at all. I wouldn't do night bowling there again.

Awesome old-school candlepin bowling center! They are always welcoming to our large school groups. The kids have a blast! Fantastic family atmosphere, fun for all ages, 20 well maintained lanes, top-notch modern equipment in a classic 1940's era bowling alley! Try candlepin bowling when you visit Maine. New England is the only place in the world where you can!

We've been several times with kids and always had fun. One string of bowling is about right for 5-8 year olds, and they have a few arcade games (and a great pinball machine) to fill in (and food and a bar...) Staff is friendly and helpful.

Old fashioned candlepin bowling alley, priced affordably. The bar food and drinks are cheap and delicious (just don’t expect anything with duck or kale on the menu). Leagues and competitions are available for the serious bowler, and they also sell some equipment if you want to skip some of the rentals next time (like this snazzy Pats ball).

This historical bowling alley is back on the scene thanks to a great owner who is passionate about what he does. The leagues and groups they run are a hit and it's nice to drive by this place and see the parking lot full of cars. It's even better to stop into this place for a game or two of bowling. Glow bowling is fun, but even without the lights and music you'll enjoy yourself.
