They have done a nice job on the modernization and updates. The staff leaves plenty to be desired though. They were short and discourteous. They owners could do themselves well by having the employees attend a customer service seminar. Also, the pricing is pretty excessive! If the service and attitudes of the employees towards customers were better , the prices would probably be bearable. Hire friendlier people.

We had an amazing family fun day at Wayward Social! There is a very cool vibe to this place. We had ages 3 to 65 bowling, playing arcade games and just hanging out! The pizza is delicious! It was a great place to be on a frigid afternoon!

Be careful what you agree to when renting the party room and lanes...some staff will try to change the agreement and screw you in the end. Definitely would not recommend

My friend & I enjoyed a delicious lunch in the new dining room. I have Celiac. The Chef Garrett was helpful in suggestions. I had a "Queen Bee" (tomatoes, basil, fresh mozzarella) cauliflower pizza & added beef to it. It was bigger than most gluten free crusts & was delicious! Gluten free cryst is $2 more. My friend had the small size of nachos. The pineapple salsa was good, but had some spicy bite to it. We will return something. The inside if the place is looking AWESOME with it's makeovers! They also hace a bowling alley, arcade and bar here.

Tonight the people of Jensen Ford of Marshalltown enjoyed a bowling night out. Super fun, had a great time. The servers were very attentive and quick to please. Great pizza and tasty wings. Restrooms were clean.

I would rate this place five stars, but there's one reason I won't. Their payment system won't accept Shazam Debit cards. I rarely carry cash with me and my primary form of payment is my Shazam debit card from the Lennox Employees Credit Union. Wayward Social is the only place I've had problems using my debit card. Fix your P.O.S. system please! Wayward Social has a great atmosphere. It's clean and trendy. The food is awesome! The service generally is really good also. Last night must have been the exception because it wasn't very busy, but the staff didn't seem interested in waiting on tables.

The new owners are putting ALL efforts into making the old Totem Bowl into the new and exciting family friendly Wayward Social Eats and Alleys! They apologize for their renovation but are still open and welcome all ages.

Love going for Cosmic Bowling on the weekends. Pay for the night, as many games as you can bowl until midnight. They were still updating last time I went, but it was looking pretty good. Update: renovations are GORGEOUS!

Would have been 5 stars except for the fact that when I ordered a pitcher of pop I told the gal I needed a pitcher and glasses for 5 people. She should have known that 1 pitcher wouldn't be enough. Was not told no free refills. Had I not asked for a manager I would have had to pay another 7.49 for another pitcher of pop. Its common sense that with a big group, 1 pitcher isn't enough.

I love a place with a limited menu..that's a good thing. I'm so indecisive. Surprise I still couldn't decide !!! So I ordered both a Chili Cheese Dog and a Reuben Sandwich. Both were outta this world good..I highly reccomend either one..Haha..or both but plan on taking a doggie bag home.

Fantastic bar, bowling alley, and restaurant! There are tons of vegetarian options for food, but my only wish would be that they had vegan cheese for the pizzas. They're so close to being amazingly vegan friendly that it's crazy they don't have vegan cheese! But, I'm not going to fault them for not catering to my specific diet. Great place, would recommend.

Came here from CO and it felt like walking into a spot in the city. Super welcoming, very fun atmosphere, and lots of activities for all ages. Even with renovations this place is so awesome! The bar is killer, the lanes are amazing, and the arcade so, so fun! Great price tags on everything, and they even reimburse for ATM fees! Definetly a wonderful spot for date night, or family night!

We celebrated my son’s 11th birthday here. They worked around with the party package and the private lanes. This was beyond the greatest customer service. The staff did a great job in making sure we were all set up. Would definitely recommend it. My advise is to ask all the right questions and talk to management. Everything went smooth and stress free.

Had a vegan Rueben, bbq jackfruit and the beyond burger. Expertly smoked jackfruit, not sure I’ve had better. Very good veg options, was not expecting to get them in such a small midwestern town. The lanes were great too. Laid back and friendly staff. If I lived here I’d be a regular for sure.

I super dig this place. The renovation from it formerly being Totem Bowl to now Wayward Social is GORGEOUS and they're not even done yet. The lanes, seating, and scoring system have all been updated and the construction on everything else (like the bar, future restaurant, and banquet room) doesn't interrupt game-play. Staff was nice to me even though I barely know a dang thing about bowling. I can't wait to see what this place looks like when it's done. It feels so big city cool, but the price tag is affordable for a night out. Absolutely a rad date spot.

Horrible experience! Didn't have reservations, which it seems that everyone in town did. We couldn't get 2 lanes together so decided to let just the kids bowl out of two families. Our wait time went from 40 minutes to 45 and then an hour and 10. There were 6 tot8 lanes open that we could've easy played for an hour with everyone. Their system sucks, hands down!!

Facility, food and drinks are on point!! 5 starts for them!! It usually seems like the employees are just a bunch of kids who don't want to be at work, help you, or even realize it's their job to be somewhat friendly/curtious to the patrons. Maybe just crack a smile??
