First of all this place doesn't come off as nice but don't be fooled , it's huge, it has a bar and fast food restaurant, arcade and bowling shop. The day I went to bowl there was a PGA tournament going on and the manager was nice enough to open lanes for me and my family, we bowled for a bit but he was considerate enough to do that and that's something I value as a customer, if your looking for a good time bowling go here they value their patrons.

This place is a family favorite. The customer service here is really good. Like most bowling alleys you cannot bring outside foods or drinks. The women's bathroom seem to be very clean although I've heard otherwise about the men's. They have over 30 lanes ( can't think of exact numbers right now) the lanes are synthetic. They have bar (THEY SERVE LIQUOR ON SUNDAYS), they have place where you can eat. The food is ok, the pizza looks good, smells good, but taste bad. They have free bowling game coupons you can use from the restaurant across the street( Johnels) if you spend 15 dollars or more they'll give you one, but I think you have to ask. The bowling alley has a weak arcade for kids to keep busy if they're not into bowling. They have rooms that can be rented out for different events. Overall I like the place. Never had a problem there.

Fun times have always been had here. I've gotten to watch a few 300 games too!! Surprisingly, they have delicious food. The lemon rice soup is delicious, and they have the best sub sandwiches!!

My wife bowled here for many years and when I could I went along for support. A family friendly place that makes you feel welcomed. Great concession and bar staff as well.

Terrible experience, our league had an agreement to start bowling on Sundays at 3 p.m., when we arrived for our meeting was informed of an error on the bowling establishment and not only are they unable to accommodate our league, they suggested we get rid of some of our teams. So because they did not inform us in a reasonable time, we are now scrabbling to find a new place for our league.

Good place to bring the family or just go have fun ok your weekends. Tuesday gets really packed in the evening so don't recommend going that day. Games are $4 each per person and shoe rentals are $3. They have good pizza and hot dogs. Beer is pretty cheap and same with the drinks. They have a mini arcade in the back with some pretty fun nostalgic games. Definitely recommend going here if you're looking for a good time with your family

Been a league bowler for 47 years. Its far from ghetto. The people you bowl with or around might be ghetto. The lanes in Chicago would be considered ghetto.

If one wants to know what its like to bowl on a 'pro-lane', then you must visit Olympia Lanes in Hammond Indiana!! Honestly the lanes were perfect, better than any bowling alley I've been to! One of my account reps was begging me to bowl at Olympia and I'm glad he bugged me because, Olympia defines bowling! Friendly crowd with a staff that is always happy to help! The pro shop has everything you could ever need with a knowledgeable staff to boot. The food and dining area is FANTASTIC! Good pizza and a deli, yes a deli! Be sure to set aside an hour or two because its worth it if you like to bowl! The game room has cool pinball and video games as well. All in all it was a great experience and I will surely be coming back often! Thanks Olympia Lanes for your continued devotion to the game of bowling!!! People that love the game of bowling truly appreciate your efforts!

Went to a benefit for my niece here. The management was VERY accommodating and brave to have probably 200 people descend on them in a matter of 45 minutes! Nice bowling facility and the employees I spoke to were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thank You Olympia Lanes!
