Seasoned Bowlers Beware If you are looking to bowl, DO NOT go here. If you're there to just hang out and drink with friends then you'll have an ok time. The lanes are not maintained at all. Tons of dents and no oil on the lanes at all. Halfway into our session, the system went haywire. The bowling balls did not come back then the pin sensors stopped working so the computer couldn't tell which pins were knocked down. Eventually the whole lane shut down. It seemed like many of the lanes had similar issues. My advice is to stay away. Pin Stripes is nearby. Might be better off going there.

This venue was fantastic for hosting a small professional society outing! Our server was very attentive and the staff was very accommodating in general. Great way to relax with some fancy cocktails, billiards, and darts. The dart lounges were a ton of fun for a combination of competitive and relaxed competition. Will definitely be coming back at some point!

Went here for a corporate event and it was quite enjoyable! The food was surprisingly good for a bowling alley, and they were able to pull curtains to partition off seating areas for your party. Large facility with some other things like pool and ping pong available if you're tired of bowling. The staff was friendly and service was plentiful, which is great for large groups. I give them 8/10!

Pretty decent place, located in the downtown AMC building on 2nd floor. We were party of 5 booked bowling alley for an hour. Prices are not very expensive, the thing which we loved is the neon lighting on the bowling alley. Huge space, they have a dining area, darts, pool tables and ping pong. In terms of food enchiladas were really good, tasty guac, bad pizza though (we tried margherita). Friendly servers, quick service over all nice place to hangout with a group. Bowling balls were too rugged, too much of wear and tear very old real improvement required in that area.

I just took my mom who is visiting from Philadelphia to Lucky Strike after we took in a movie at Arclight. I should say up front that I cannot speak to the food quality offered by the restaurant, but in terms of beer selection, this establishment is very subpar indeed...Stella, Sam Adams, about four or five relatively decent craft brews, yada yada yada (The whole "Gastro Pub" definition needs to be reevaluated). And, like another reviewer stated, we found the service to be very poor, as well. This is unfortunate, as I was really looking forward to finding a place near our home that we could call our "neighborhood bar." Unfortunately, the service offered up at Lucky Strike seems to sum up my firm opinion that customer service is currently taking a nosedive in this country. Folks that served us just had the attitude that "you get what you pay for" and I'm not doing anymore than the bare minimum. For GREAT beer selection and service, I recommend Downtown Crown Beer and Wine in Gaithersburg, MD.

We were at Lucky Strike for an office function. Lucky Strike provided mixed drinks and beers of our choice and a variety of horses d'oeuvres for eating. We used four lanes for bowling and some even used the gutter bumpers.

I didn't even make it inside the door! I called to book a lane for me, my husband, and 3 kids and they wanted $75 per hour to bowl and that didn't include shoes or food. In addition they wanted $20 per person for food. What kid eats $20 of food?! Then when I tried to ask about the charges the staff were rude. Not a family friendly place. Too bad as I have been to other ones and the experience was great!

The food is mediocre and vastly overpriced, the equipment is buggy, and the staff is disorganized and unhelpful. I came 6 weeks straight for Better Off Bowling social league, and it was a disaster all around. Some of it was the fault of the league, but the venue didn't help. If you're considering the league or just going for an afternoon out, save your money and find a better place to bowl.

This place is bs! We called 24 hours ahead to place a reservation and were told it is first come first serve. We paid $200 for 12 people to bowl one game and when we asked about another game we were told we cannot play due to a reservation coming in. Now we have 1.5 kill and have to pay there high rates for pool and ping pong. The service was very good though!

Food was good servers absolutely lost horrible just go to the bar .Be aware you will still have to pay for parking after they stamp your tickets unlike other places you're still paying $12 dollars or so. The place is nice pool tables are over $20 a hour a bit ridiculous overall fun just not worth it we had fun. However if your bringing two kids it ads up fast. His beer was like $5.50 for a Coors long neck.

My first time here and it was for a birthday event. Service was amazing and fast. I was set up to bowl within 5 minutes, that's including shoes and everything. What I was most surprised was how good the food was. Prices were also reasonable for this time of event. No longer do we have to attend bowling alleys that look like we just stepped back into the 90's. I highly recommend this place for events or just to kick back with friends for a good night out.

The facilities were very nice and there is a decent selection for adult drinks, including wine by the bottle. Overall great atmosphere and a lot of fun. I omitted 1 star though because of a pizza I bought there that was more like bread with a few things on it. The fried Mac and Cheese was great and other people's food looked good as well (for pub style food) just don't order the Pizza, which, because it's Chicago, I doubt many people order from a bowling alley anyway. Haha

I am visiting Chicago, and this is the worst service I have received here. We arrived at about 6:30pm, ordered food, and a round of drinks. Not only did we not see our server until an hour and 15 later, but we had 2 rounds at the bar and received out food at 8pm! We legit watched multiple tables who ordered after us receive their food before. And once we got our food later, the order wasn't as what we ordered. ...... So i just found out that two orders haven't even arrived lol... this is laughable. Please don't come here. We had a table of four, and a 1 year old. I'm a service member. If i did my job this bad, people would die. ...... So, to fix the issue, the hostess gave us our appetizers for free and brought the table a dessert. I feel bad for her, because she wasn't the issue. But again, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

As a corporate Planner I can honestly say I have experienced every aspect of the venue. The atmosphere is incredibly fun and inviting for corporate groups and friends. The staff is friendly, inviting and accommodating. The food is really good. I have held several corporate events here and have never been disappointed. There is so much to do and it doesn't matter how big your group is, there is a space that works perfectly. I highly recommend!

The newest outpost of the DC regional modern bowling hall meets bar / restaurant. Nice looking space, it's within Montgomery Mall in North Bethesda. Food is decent to good in the few of times I've been there is a mix of sandwiches, pizza, entrees and starters. For example, the burger lacks proper seasoning for the meat itself, although the rest of the condiments & other additions looked pleasing. Deviled Eggs starter contains bacon (BACON!) but the kitchen additionally salts the dish, so the combination of bacon and an occasional heavy handed kitchen can make for the dish to be too salty. Drinks are currently a mix of not-too-interesting beer list, along with some cocktails and wine (I'm told that there with to improve the beer list with not interesting selections). Friendly staff here. Bowling lanes are modern with large TV's that can show a mix of programming -- I spied some kid shows at certain lanes. Looks to be ideal for groups.

This past April, I contacted this location in hopes to secure a reservation for one of my son's graduation celebrations. As an out of town parent, it was refreshing to receive such great dialogue. All of my inquiries were answered in a timely manner; the customer service and detailed information was tremendous. Although I opted to not make this venue one of our celebratory spots, the next time I travel up to NYC, I would definitely love to make it a point to visit this Venue.

Cool space with a nice laid-back vibe. Comfy leather sofas in all the lanes. A more extensive menu than your normal bowling alley fare. My only issue is that the many flat-screen televisions tend to obscure the view of other lanes. When I am bowling that's what I want to see, bowling. We also had some minor scoring issues but the staff was very helpful and resolved them quickly.

We (family of 5 and friends) experienced a rainy day during our stay to see the city of Chicago last May. Upon a quick search online we discovered Lucky Strike right next to our hotel. We had an absolute blast for several hours bowling, playing ping-pong, and billiards. We also found the variety and quality of food and drinks to be excellent! Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful showing us the ropes as we had never visited before. We will definitely visit again next time we're in the city!!!

The food was super salty (both burgers). The server was nowhere to be found and it wasn't packed at all. Also, we had paid for two bowling games and was told we are able to finish the game after closing. We were on the 9th frame and we got kicked out without finishing the game... The clerk had told us it was okay to finish but the security guy kicked us out exactly at 1am.. We had one frame left!! Horrible experience all around... Chicky cheese has better service!

I really enjoy going to Lucky Strike because it’s a really dinner/ bowling place to go to. The bowling alley has a lot of projection screens to watch the basketball games. If your into spicy food, I would recommend the chicken tinga quesadilla. It’s a really great appetizer to have.

We were invited here for a members only event. What a fun place to bowl, play pool, ping pong, or hang out and have a drink with friends or something to eat. The decor is neon modern and has a vintage vibe to it. Lots of colors and neon. Had so much fun bowling, prices are reasonable and the lanes are in great shape. The bowling balls from Lucky Strike, unfortunately, were really beat up, but the rental shoes were in really great shape. The 18 bowling lanes are modern and technologically up to date. We played a few games of pool too, there are a lot of tables here, 11 tables total, you should not have to wait for one. Food prices are reasonable, but drinks are a little on the high side. With all the options available for fun, Luck Strike is truly an entertainment complex for the whole family.

It was ok but our guns didn't work for about 15 minutes and we weren't offered a different place to sit. They only comped us five minutes on top of the time that was already paid for. To make matters worse I wanted wings and fries. They only offered wings and waffles and the bartender didn't ask the cool if we could substitute them for an upcharge. She flat out said no. Not something they can do. Never heard of that in my life. Plus I think the bartender was ready to go. I don't blame her. Poor girl.

The bowling balls were damaged and there was an unclean feeling to the place.. our table was dirty and they set our cups face down on them for us to drink?!! No thank you. Even the pop was terrible (flat artificial sweet) we sent it back twice. How can you get soda wrong?! REFUND PLEASE! The food was... Interesting. Nothing bad, but nothing great. Service was pretty slow, considering it's located in the same building as the AMC. We had to walk the check up to the hostess stand ourselves or we would be late to our movie. What's perhaps the most disturbing was being offered a pencil to sign our checks. Ouch.

Really disappointed with their customer service. We brought twenty well behaved Teenagers for a party, however, felt like being a burden for the managment. And we didn't ask any thing more than we paid for! It's sad if you bring dollars (and it's an expensive place for bowling), but all what you get back is this "do I really have to do this now" kind of attitude. The facility is nice and modern yet they need to brush up their customer service pretty much in order to survive in North Bethesda.

We arrived shortly before 9:00pm on a Monday (President's day) with the intention of bowling for 2 hours since their listed closing time is 11:00 on Mondays. We were informed that they'd be closing at 10:00 that day due to the fact that it was a slow day; their last call for food off the grill was 9:00 and drinks 9:30. I paid $50 for one hour of bowling for two people and I believe shoes normally cost additional but the person checking us in said he wouldn't ring them up this time (likely because they were closing early). I feel this price is pretty steep but that's not for me to decide, we were also informed that on Tuesdays they offer $2 games. After all of that was dealt with, the actual bowling experience was an easy 5/5. The atmosphere/lighting was very nice and made it feel private. The music played spanned a wide range but all of it was good (not much pop). The lanes were maintained well and the whole area seemed clean. The traditional plastic chairs in most bowling alleys were replaced with comfortable couches and there was a large table for food close to the lane. Our waiter was also fantastic and quick, even allowing us to order something off the grill a couple minutes before last call. To top it all off, when our time expired during the 6th frame our time was extended for no charge. Our drinks were stiff yet tasty and the food portions were massive; our chicken quesadilla was more than enough for two people. I can't comment on how busy/crowded some claim it gets with neighbors since it was slow that day but honestly I felt each area was quite spacious. I wish we could've stayed longer and I definitely plan on coming back soon.

We reserved a lane at 12. We were there in time but the doors didn't open until way past 12. Then they had only one cashier serving all 12 o'clock parties. We started playing 25 mins past 12. Given the price I would have expected better quality across everything. The control panel at the lane we got was broken etc.

Ill give this place one star. Food was good. So then why one star? Today, I was watching the world cup at the bar. On my third refill I found a baby cockroach inside my glass. I called my server's attention about that matter and she took my glass away, refilled with water and place it back where it was. I had a bad feeling about the new glass of water so I didnt drink. When she came back she asked "how is your drink now?", and I answered "I didnt see anymore cockroaches, that is an improvement". It is about how you handle a situation that makes a difference in a restaurant business. Once again, my burger was delicious though. If I ever come back, at least I know when I find something weird in my food or drink, I wont get that much out of it.

The weekend dress code is pretty strict, so I'd check it out before heading out. Other than that weekends are pretty lit, there's a DJ and a lounge area but bowling prices can be expensive. They always seem to have super cheap weeknight specials (like Sun-Wed) so I'd check those out if you're on a budget. The staff is awesome; go here.

The hostess was rude & lacked basic customer service skills. This "girl" who was positioned at the entrance on 4/24/18 in the evening, was politely asked for a drink of wine, her response was "You can go up to the bar and get it" basically refused service, then after several prompts to please send a waiter, she acquiesced after 5 full minutes, BUT she elected to within hearing & viewing distance speak negatively about paying customers. I would not recommend Lucky Strike as a venue; especially, if she is representative of the type of service one is subject to receive.

First impression... Last time. I will never go back to this location. I typically bowl at 300 on shady grove road but decided to give this a try because I assume being in Bethesda would provide a better crowd with better service. Boy was I wrong! The staff is rude and incompetent at best and the manager on staff is not much better. I planned a night out with co workers and the night was cut short due to the staff lack of comprehension. Food was ok service is horrible. After the 3rd price adjustment, I gave up, Manager never apologized but gave credits for another visit. I immediately gave the freebies away because you could not pay me to go back there. Note to staff: get it together soon or you won't last in Montgomery County

Good food, good service, atmosphere is typical of a bowling alley. The lanes were really short and narrow and not a lot of space to practice true bowling form. The seating area is also small and makes it hard for large groups to sit and get up to bowl while having to step across everyone’s feet and legs. Plus side, the ball selection is unique! They have balls that weigh 4lbs with four finger holes for kids.

Nice place - if you're already at least half deaf. The lanes are nicely kept, the staff are friendly and helpful, there are billiards and ping pong for those not bowling, the attached cocktail bar is nice, the atmosphere is trendy but relaxed. The one thing is that as soon as you step in the door, you're blasted with a wall of sound. A pair of 30db earmuffs (intended for people operating heavy machinery or going to a gun range) brought the volume down from overwhelming to merely moderately painful. Don't expect to be able to talk to anyone more than 6 inches away. I'm pretty sure employees are going to suffer permanent hearing damage.

We went to this bowling alley for a company trip. I live in Denver and we had a conference in Chicago. The lanes are well oiled, they had a very good selection and amount of balls, and the pool table felts we're well maintained. Absolutely loved Lucky Strike. Got a free game of bowling during the lunch period. Great, dark atmosphere. Old books and memorabilia are a nice touch. Bowling lanes were subpar. They kept jamming or freezing up. The staff was very nice and friendly. Made sure we were taken care of but didn't bother us too much. The food was good. Too much for me to finish. I got the Margherita pizza. Beer selection was average. They even let me take an old book after I asked!

I came in town last night from out of town! I visit this bowling alley around 12:40 with a group of people out celebrating a birthday! It was around 12 people. And one of my friends did not have proper ID to the security being because it was a tore up. My friend n the security spoke for 15 mins trying to get in the bowling alley. After a while my friend began to get upset with the security! I have my friend apologize to the security and he promised up if he go get his ID n come back before 130am he will still let him in. So my friend takes a Uber to go home Uber $30! To get his ID n come back! And the security did not let him! On top of that we had to pay to park and had already bought shoes for 12 people to bowl! Moral of the story the security was being racist and social profile my friend. Because he was a young black men he didn’t want to let him in from the jump like he wanted to start something with us just to see how mad he can make him and even after he apologize you accepted the apologize shook on it promise you will let him back in and turn around n shut the door on him! I even spoke with Drew the manager about it and he still just said no! I do not agree with this we did nothing we apologize for our wrong followed they rules n they still wanted to start trouble with us!

Literally did a staycation in the city and decided to go out here to eat and bowl on a Saturday night. Got there about 930 and The place was packed as expected but once we were seated nobody ever came to serve us and after 30 mins....nope. Not even a hello or sorry we're crazy. We even attempted to get drinks from the bar while we waited for our server. The bartender never acknowledged either of us. We walked out and just went to Ihop because everything else waa closed. The service or lack thereof was terrible and ruined the night. Never again....

My students and I really enjoyed this place. They were approximately twenty students and five staff. Despite the large group of clients, the service was very professional and effective. Their entertainment facilities are first class. They have a great variety of games, such as ping pong table, billiards, bowling and others. As for the food, even though the service was fast, the pizzas we ordered were not the best. However, I totally recommend this place for great group of people.

Went for a work function. This place is ok, staff are friendly, bowling alleys are ok but a lot of the other activities aren't well maintained, including the pool tables, table tennis, and shuffle board tables. If you're just here for bowling then it's not a big deal. Huge space, feels a bit like a nightclub inside.

Have been to Lucky Strike twice and loved it! It’s a great place to just chill with friends and have some fun. The food is delicious. Especially their pizza was good. The whole place has a chill and fun vibe which makes the actual bowling great. Overall if you’re looking to have a good time with friends or your family I’d totally recommend lucky strike.

Fantastic looking place. The menu seemed reasonably priced and appeared to have many good options on it. I figure it would be a great place to go with friends. Upon arrival I noticed a sign saying that the pinsetters damage bowling balls. I am by no means a professional bowler, but I like to use my own bowling ball when I go out. Was looking forward to the Lunch and Bowl special but I am going to pass. I might be back with some friends down the road though. Looks like a good time.

I love how they had 1930’s Turner’s movies playing during the day. It gave an old timey NYC feeling. I do feel like the ping pong table and pool should some how be packaged with the bowling games I stead of having to pay separately. We had an intern event here and it was pretty fun. Our group was about 40 people and they were able to accommodate us. We had access to the billiard table as well as the lanes. The food/apps were fine and the staff was relatively friendly but not overly attentive. I'd consider coming back here for another event but it was a little pricey in my mind to come back on my own.

We went bowling to The Lucky Strike for my Husband's birthday last year and we had a blast. The prices are very affordable for being downtown, this place is huge and their equipment is very good, they have servers that will serve you drinks and food if you want to eat and drink while bowling, we had burgers and buffalo wings and we definitely had a great time.

Worst place ever! They ruined my a Christmas gift for 12 kids....This place is ridiculous! We went in and were told to add our name to the waitlist, they said it would be around 1-2 hours so we decided to wait around the mall after 2 hours I went back to check and they told me I had to wait an other hour minimum, at this point the kids just wanted to leave so we did and I didn’t get the “Ready” text message until 10:40pm!!!! 5 Hours Later!!!....The whole time I could have made and appointment but was told by the employee that answered the phone call a month before that on that day was not possible.....Called to speak to the manager and never received a call back......TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! Customer service and overall experience.....First and last time!.....They need to retrain their staff.

Not for semi-serious bowlers. Lanes hadn't been oiled for 5 days & manager wouldn't let mechanic oil the lanes for us. Paid for 2 hrs. but spent about 1/2 hour trying to get pin resets, in once case taking 4 trips back and forth across full length of facility (we were on the last lanes, #11 and 12) to front desk, wait in line, to get a full rack (they wouldn't let me operate the control pedestal notwithstanding that I was very familiar with how to operate it). That's a 25% loss of paid time spent trying to get full racks, leaving only 1.5 hrs. for "bowling" for 8 people. Front desk personnel incompetent; kept promising pin resets/full racks but kept having to repeatedly re-request the same resets. They also tried to charge me for my own bowling shoes that I brought, saying "it's a rule". Not at any lanes I've ever bowled! Although not the staff's fault, uncontrolled kids on next lanes kept running in front of us on the approach as we were trying to bowl, pushing ball ramps into our lanes, etc. This place might be fun for kids in small parties, but definitely not for adults. It's a shame, because it has great ambiance for hanging out/socializing. Nightmarish experience. Never again.

This was an excellent place for our companies after the holiday celebration. The only down side, I didn't have enough time to try everything. Enjoyed the dart contest, bowling, the game room with the air hockey tables and alien invasion were also great. The hidden gem that a lot of people don't know about was the miniature golf course and a the tag lounge behind the big bar, definitely a must on my next visit. The finger foods were nice, giant cheese, beef and shrimp skewers. Of course the drinks were very good. The staff was extremely polite, helpful and very accommodating even with our large group, well over 150 ppl and it never felt rushed.

I came on Presidents’ Day with a group of friends. It was extremely crowded and had we known we would have made a reservation online ( reservations can’t be made over the phone) we had to wait for a lane which we were quoted an hour but turned out to be only 25 minutes. The guy running the bowling counter (Phineas) very professional and accommodating. Our server (Trey) was polite and quick with our drinks. Refills did take a long time. One suggestion I would have is to get more staff, for such a busy place only having 3 staff members Running around is insane. We did have an issue with the lane being stuck and Phineas fixed it in a matter of minutes and extended our time.Luckily we had a good experience but it could have easily gone south if your staff wasn’t on point.

Very cool environment downtown. Chic bowling alley with amazing food, plenty of drink options and plenty to do. Also a significant amount of space, it was way more open than I expected. They have bowling, darts, pool, and table tennis. The downside is that some of the activities can be quite pricey, it was $25 per hour for table tennis! But, if you're willing to spend this can be a really fun place to go.

If I could I wouldn’t even give this place a star. It was my first time going there. When the greeter asked if we wanted to sit at the bar or booth and I said booth, she rolled her eyes. When we were seated, no one ever came by to serve us, as I watched a bunch of servers walk by and even set tables next to ours. We waited at least 10-15 min before we gave up and left. If you’re just here to eat, I don’t recommend it. They pay more attention to those bowling and at the bar.

I’m only giving it two stars the food was great except when my family and I started bowling everything was going good until half an hour and the bowling lane starts messing up we wanted to leave after half an hour of waiting for them to solve the problem. We spoke to manager Francisco and he said to meet him at the door he would give us bowling passes well we were waiting at the door for about 15 minutes he never came up ! We had to talk to another manager who had no clue what was going on. The experience was horrible poor management! Never going back

This place is a good time, especially for groups. It has the vibe and music of a club. Waiters come to your table for drinks and food. DJ was playing hip-hop while I was there. Other than the bowling section, there's also a small arcade section and pool tables. Lots of TVs that were playing a few different games. A little more expensive than a normal bowling alley, but its worth the extra money.

Worst service ever. The worst part of it the manager didn't do anything. I'm sorry I don't understand why this place is a 5 star. It very nice concept and environment but there no one to serve us. Why it took a very long time get simple beers? We not ordering mix drinks and the bar was not busy.. the worst of all they control the games. We couldn't finish the 2nd games he have to actually pay more to finish a game. That not right. They need to let us play the games until when are finish than charge us how long it took. I understand Friday night is $65 hr but for really let us control the games. Charge us when we are finish.

My spot since arrived to NYC all the staff are professionals. Juan Carlos (bartender), Luis (Manager), Jacob and everybody are amazing. I highly recommend the salad (with chicken goat cheese and almonds), the steak au povre is anazing and the burguer is SUPREME! Gotta try the drinks aswell, a must!!

They manager Allen stated that he couldn’t assist us with the parking, here’s it situation the Ogden garage was out of stickers for validation us not knowing there’s isn’t any stickers after 30 mins of festivities we end moving our car only having to pay 22 dollars for 58 mins after trying to get assistance for parking .... Allen didn’t seem to care and just gave us a card instead of complimentary us any way, if we would have known there was no stickers for validation we woulda Neva parked there, there wasn’t no signs nor notification outside in the parking lot staying there was no stickers ...... we woulda took a complimentary drink appetizer game or something to show good nature but nothing, the skinny margaritas was delish, the philly cheese steak egg rolls was dry and less tasteful over cooked and salty .....

I am in town to visit with my sister for my kid's spring break. We are staying at The Embassy Suites and decide to stop in for food. The only reason this place gets any stars is because of Lupe the excellent head manager for the night. My server Shauna was great. Franco who stopped me at the door because of my popcorn had the WORST customer service I ever experienced. Just flat out rude. Definitely reporting him to corporate.
