Hosted a birthday party here, we had about 20 people show up and they ranged from toddlers to grandparents and everything in between. Quick answer: it was great - I definitely recommend. Long answer: We had gotten a package that was convenient and super filling. The staff was super friendly. The manager was very attentive. And the venue was pretty nice and clean. We also weren’t super crammed into a corner, which was great. Thank you!
Great family time, spoiled by slow service. Waited 5 minutes to even get set up on a Lane, waited another 5 minutes to have bumpers set up on the lane. 10 minutes wait at the bar, asked if there was an attendant, they looked and then walked away! After another 3 or 4 minutes, asked again and finally got service. Paid for 5 people for 2 games each, and prompted to talk to attendant to continue. Place was a mess, I understand they had finished a party on our lanes, but pitchers and filth were left there. Pretty disappointed.
Easy to use score keeper, fun arcade game area, lots of bowling ball selections. Clean venue
Honestly, I used to like this place a lot, but things have changed quite a bit. When you try to call, they have you go through an automated system, which is fine, but when you put in that you want to talk to the front desk to ask a question, no one answers. I ended up driving there and there wasn’t anyone at the desk. A guy ended up coming up to me and asking what I needed, and I asked about open bowling times and about if there were any leagues going on that night. It may have been because they are understaffed and he was having to do a lot of stuff, but he seemed abrasive and kind of rude. Other than that, their oil patterns are alright I guess. I wish that there was some variation in the patterns they use though.
Overall ok bowling experience. Was there for a tournament and by the end the lanes were not holding up well. After about 3 games the oil was almost completely stripped from the lanes. In addition the lanes kept randomly resetting. However, for casual bowling experiences, this would work well. Food was ok. But overall a bit pricy.
best proshop in chgoland, paul is simply the best.
We had my son's birthday party here and the staff was more than accommodating. Food was acceptable, but bowling alley food is always subpar in my opinion. Kids had a blast and we were very happy with experience! We would definitely have a party here again.
Nice place to bowl. Not much in the way of food though.
Excellent place for families to go to.
I played pool here and it was good, bowling took a while because we had to wait for a league to end which was fine
Very busy short staffed on a Sunday waited for 45 for a pizza only to find that they grant begun making it. This was for a child's birthday party. Also toward the end went to front desk to extend time because we had 3 more frames only toi be ignored and game timed out. The children were as well as myself were very disappointed to say the least.
Nice friendly bowling alley
Great place to go bowling only the service is a bit slow.
Crappy bowling alley...manager is unbelievably rude and cannot seem to fix the lanes. Food is lousy and soooo overpriced. 4 nugget sized chicken "tenders" cost more than $8.00. Won't be doing another league here.
Great place to spend as a family or with friends
Great place to bring the family and friends for a good time.
A bit pricy but it worth the money, can have a great time with the family here.
Always bowl here,a little pricey but helpful staff, polite. The place is clean ,bathrooms are looked after.
Fun
Nice alley, but the price $$ gone up for game and shoes rental
Great food and service!
Great place, good times.
Outdated. Open bowl on a saturday is a joke. There isnt a set time its open because of leagues and a little over priced for an outdated alley.
Very nice bowling place. Whether you come with friends or family it is always a good old time fun time. We have been returning for years.
Good customer service. Enjoyed my Sunday evening there.
Great place to bowl. Lanes in good shape most of the time. Staff is always helpful and the drinks are on point.
Great place to bowl but the alcohol is a little pricey.
It's a typical chain Brunswick alley with arcade, pro shop, snack shop and bar. Prices and lane availability can vary greatly so make sure to check ahead. Nothing major wrong with the place but the occasional rude employee, slow service at the snack shop, or inconsistent lane conditions keep me from giving it 5 stars.
They charge us for games that we haven’t play, they charged us 340$ for games , 7 persons , when we asked for what, they calculated again and said they committed a mistake, and they charged 304 , but still nit right , they keep saying that the computer calculatet like this , all the times did complain thag our kids where missing to someone calling them team players, for us like regular costumers , maybe with even worst luck in bowling then one time bowling players , so guys ask in the beginning all the charges that they will ask from you before starting playing, we felt like we were screwed, we would give them negative honestly, but they don’t have the option.
So I have only had the turkey burger here but it was so deliciously juicy and packed with flavor. Drinks are pretty good too for a bowling alley.
Good service
It was fun clean and the staff was friendly and very attentive to all my needs
Good food great atmosphere. Little pricy with the games on a Saturday night but all in all good fun.
Needs to be upgraded
Good place to go. I enjoyed it
Its a little pricey but the bowling balls there are a good fit for anyone and they usually always have a lane open during the afternoon
A bit pricey for midday bowling but the lanes were well maintained and the shot was consistent. 6 games plus 1 pair of shoes cost $37. The staff was friendly. The waitress at the bar was very helpful but the bar wasn't stocked with much more than liquor and bud light. Overall pretty good but we'll definitely be going back on Sunday morning for cheaper rates.
For 2 people playing 2 games we were told we would have enough time but they started coming around and cleaning and basically rushed us bc they wanted to wax the lanes for leagues. I felt rushed and inconvenienced. Did not enjoy my time with staff standing there when we we're halfway through our second game and they were basically tapping thier toes. The leagues weren't even there by the time we left. I have bowled in a league before and I know they don't start promptly so I didnt appreciate the rush for no reason.
Decent lanes, provided balls are pretty thrashed, food was better than expected, and good service.
I read the reviews some were positive and some negative. I'm glad I pick this location to bowl. I had a two hour bowl with shoe rental included from Groupon. Prompt service, absolutely no waiting. The staff was friendly, maintenance was well kept, and my kids and me had a great time. I would definitely go again despite the distance, it was worth the drive.
Nice Bowling establishment.
Evening went fine, until they started packing people together. There were tons of open lanes but they decided to pack everyone next to each other in a few lanes. Normally I don't mind, but most of the patrons have no bowling etiquette so they will all bowl at the same time as you. For two hours & two people they charged us $100, pretty ridiculous considering they can't even open up lanes and give us breathing room.
The service is awful especially at the bar. You stand in line for so long because there's only 1 bartender serving, even on a busy Saturday night with leagues. For food, it's a hit or miss bc there is no rhyme or reason to when they'll send you back to your lane and have a server come take your order which is incredibly silly because nobody is in the food line to begin with and it takes forever for someone to come back and take your order. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because their sliders are one of the best ones I've ever had.
Had 5yr old b'day party 6 kids & 10 adults - FANTASTIC! Super reasonable cost for 2 hours bowling, pizza, chic tenders, fries, pop & beer. Server was great.
Great place. Nice staff.
BLACKLIGHT BOWLING... for less... great environment and staff!!! Honestly impressed. I've been to many private bowling alleys that are straight dumps. This place is deceiving from the outside but the actual bowling area is pretty decent. They offered to order pizza from Aurelios next door without any extra charges. I really got to give it to the staff though... They're super responsive and kind. Will be back.
Great lanes and really friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
Disappointing. When you hear that an upscale franchise bought out a Brunswick, you would think there would have been upgrades. The place smells old and dirty, the kitchen is still a joke, and the staff is low class and lazy. Front desk lady was nice. That's about it though. They missed some of our order and never got back to us with it. So when I followed up they dragged their feet and acted as though I was interrupting something more important, which was literally leaning on the counter chewing ice and talking. The place is fine if it was the neighborhood hole in the wall vibe, but when you put the brand name on it, you expect a much higher standard. Or at least SOME improvements to the place. Glasses and plates were everywhere with staff doing nothing and exceptionally poorly dressed. It has down graded to a dump. Don't waste your time or money.
It's a very good and private place. We celebrated our daughter's birthday with our family members today. Staff is very professional too.
Usually not super busy except at night. I always have fun bowling. The staff seems nice.
Good deals on Wednesday. Service a bit slow, but decent place overall
Not too bad, not enough lighter balls for small kids but staff are friendly and seemed like a well kept place. Was quite pricey though so won't be a regular thing.
Not the same as other Bowlero's across the states. Not the same drinks and experience. This place is literally Brunswickzone reskined as bowlero. At least bring the usual vibes and experience to this location. Also the sound system was not good.
Clean bowling area, great place for hanging out as a family, prices are reasonable.
Love it love it love it, customer service was great, food was hot, the adult drinks was nice the bowling was fun fun and more fun.
Had a party for my kids there. The atmosphere was great and the kids loved it! The staff was friendly and customer focused and the manager was incredibly funny and made sure we had a blast! I would recommend this to anyone who loves bowling and wants to have a great time with their family :)
This is a great facility in an even great area. It s very clean, very friendly staff, and even has an arcade with prizes for the kids. They also provide great birthday parties, lot s of fun. I highly recommend it!
Great staff, so friendly and welcoming. Had a fantastic time here for an adult birthday bash.
Decent bowling alley, nothing special. I went there with my family over the weekend attempting to give my baby brother the best possible bowling experience and was immensely let down. There was no music of any kind, there was a complete lack of assistance when requested, the bowling shoes were a whole new level of deteriorated, etc. Quite disappointed.
Great people working there. Drinks, food and bowling a bit overpriced.
Old school bowling alley. It was decent.
Massively improved from where it was the last time I visited (about 2 years ago). Arcade is hugely improved, bar, food, alleys, billiards. Prices are sooo much more affordable. At time of review, it runs just under $6/game/person. Charging process is much better now, too. You pay once you've had your fill rather than pay beforehand for X-number of games. Awesome alley.
My family got a great experience. They love it
Great looking place...lots of lanes (40)...equipment worked well .....shoes were horrible as there was absolutely No slide, which creates issues for bowlers safety wise....trying to understand why a place with 40 lanes and no one bowling but 2 families we were put right next to each other. We, a couple only, were put right next to a family of 5 and being hillbillies from Kentucky we were using our best bowling etiquette, which seemingly this family had no clue. Customer services was sadly lacking by the managed at front desk as well....we stood at the counter for several minutes before one of 3 workers even looked at us and then there was no greeting, just kind of looked at us as if we were interrupting or eavesdropping. Not my fault write place.
Spend ur weekend here with a small group of friends/ family.... play slowly and spend maximum time in a single game
Good sliders.
Good place with lots of specials, so far if you go there any day exept Friday or Saturday you get a good bowling deal.
They have a great summer special 3 games a day for 3 months with shoes. $30 for kids $35 for adults. That covers you all summer! Cant beat that deal.
Had great time for my son's birthday
Great place for the whole family! Lots to do, and they have a great, friendly staff, too. Would highly recommend!
Great guys at this location! Corrected any issues with the lane and ball being stuck in a timely fashion. Everyone was very happy to help us enjoy a fun game of bowling. Thank you!
Always clean friendly and very helpful employees when needed until this point never had a problem with anybody just keep up with the great custom services and friendly smiles
Came here using a 2 hr Groupon for bowling. Excellent experience! Noticed on the way out they have great late night bowling prices during the week.
Good location a bit loud but that is to be expected.
My son's practice & games place
Great fun for the whole family! We had a blast!
This place needs to have an adult with good management skills running it. The service is terrible. It is way over priced. This place is ran by a bunch of kids who have no idea what there doing. I can't even begin to explain everything wrong with the staff. It was my 1st time there and I won't be back.
Nice bowling alley. Has arcade, pool table and pro shop.
Who doesn't like bowling? Make sure you visit the pro shop to pick up your gear. This place also has a small game room and snack bar.
Had a lot of fun. Did not like paying $4.50 for a large lemonade, but I guess that's indoor pricing. Next time, I will enjoy a pitcher of water. It's free.
Ok center Had a good time Ty
My family and I were warmly greeted by the employee working that night. He was very friendly and patiently answered all our questions. The facility was nicely kept and modern. We had a wonderful time and plan on going back again.
Really good and had a awesome time
A great environment and staff us very helpful.
Nice place
Went here on a Saturday evening and it wasn't crowded. A nice place to enjoy bowling.
pretty good place, only issue is the last time we went it was semi full and instead of putting us where there was space we were crammed in between 2 large groups of people. The bowling wasn't as fun. Hopefully next time will be better.
They front desk is so nice!!! I had an issue and she handled it so well. First time I had an issue ever in last 3 years. I go here all the time.
Had a ball and the prices are not expensive
Very clean bowling alley, been going her for 20+ years. Good place to go as family.
Cheap bowling. Machines and lanes run smoothly most of the time. Food is decent for a bowling alley. Bathrooms could be cleaner and use soap more consistently.
We received a warm welcome and prompt service. This place has 40 lanes, so, although there seemed to be league bowling, we were still able to play. Four stars because bowling seems to have gotten so expensive these days. Two games, two shoe rentals, and two drinks will set you back $35, and the two games go by so quick. I do not exactly consider it a good value, but I will definitely return to this location in the future. I would return more often if it were more cost effective.
Simple and basic bowling place, if that's what your looking for
Can use updating. But staff very keepful and friendly staff.
Rude place
Dry conditions for bowling, limited menu for eating, good helpful pro shop!!
Friendly staff and good food. They also have mini golf out back.
My family and I went here for their new years celebration bowling. It was nice. Very well done. The staff was friendly. The food was good. We had s great time. I would highly recommend them.
Nice place but food and drinks are to high even with league discount
Bowling was a good time ..food was trash..but it's a bowling alley so I didn't expect much.
Food is very very good. Staff is a little bland but that ok. We really like this place
Very nice bowling alley. The Lanes are good, nice shoes if you do not have your own.
Nice place for a family outing, we were there for birthday party and it was decent, though limited on choice the food was delicious and staff was friendly.
40 lanes, clean and fresh.
The bar as well as the concessions wasn't even open at 5pm so couldnt snack on anything unless its a pretzel or a pizza :(
I enjoy bowling with my crew.
Old School bowling alley. Great for leagues and families. After 10pm they pump up the music and turn on the black lights for the younger crowd.
Approachs on lanes sticky could hurt yourself you start bowling at 7pm but drink specials start a hour later if you start at 7pm specials should start at 7pm. No other bowling center i have bowled in 40 years at charges tax unless you are out for money only sitting areas dirty. Bathrooms dirty and hand dryer did not work. Jennett our waitress was great only bright spot
Nice lanes and facilities. Expensive alcohol.
Great place for a family get together to have fun
Line next to us was paid by our friends for 30 more min. And they let us play for the remaining time and left. One of their employees came and said that we can not use it .( ok) Then he shut off our line in the midle of the game.
The video games were in need of better maintenance... Maybe a little more generous with the game prize tickets...
Overpriced drinks, and they wouldn't put on the NBA FINALS even though several people asked for it. Seems rediclious for a bowling alley
Really enjoyed there last week!
It was better when it was Brunswick Zone
Fun
A little pricey for a Saturday shoe rental and 1 game
Reasonable price. They have plenty of 8-9 lb bowling balls that fit your fingers
Good for small office day out
A great place to bring the kids & family! The staff was wonderful & super helpful, and everything was very clean! I will definitely be coming back here again :)
Don't like the cosmic bowling Can get a lane pretty quickly Lanes seem too oiled at times Clean
we liked it there but lower scores than normal. the girl gave us a good discount. we shared the nacho cheese they were great!!!! velveeta cheese sauce instead of jalepeno. would recomend for families or bowlers.
Friendly staff and good deals
The staff is very nice and helpful.
A bit pricy at the buisy times, but staff was courteous and the lanes well maintained.
My daughter decided she wanted a bowling birthday party this year. Normally we have two separate parties, one for family and one for school friends. I decided to just have everyone this year at one party and everyone had a blast. Even my ninety year old grandmother took a few rolls and loved it
Lindsay the manager needs to be trained in customer service. There was a issue when I put my winning ticket in to be redeemed and the screen went black when I asked a employee what to do she came back and said Lindsay said the numbers on the wall call it. I said I'm pretty sure the establishment has to call I was told nope and the employee walked away. I called the number and was told the establishment is suppose to call when I asked Lindsay about this she was very rude and told me to call myself I said I have the lady on speaker phone and she said it's your responsibility to call. Bottom line she was of no help at all! The lady on the phone was was very helpful. Lindsay is very rude
Not bad prices a little steep for food and drinks but overall decent place
Brunswick has sure gone downhill since purchased by Bowlero. I attempt to call to find out about lane availability, and prices. Automated system doesn't work, even when I request to be transferred to front desk. Fast forward to when I show up. It was cosmic bowling (I didn't want cosmic), hence the reason for my call. They also wanted $6 per game on a Monday at 3. Please. I now realize I probably should have looked for some coupons beforehand. Summary - If you are looking for a classic bowling alley experience with fair prices and good customer service, look for one of the few remaining privately owned bowling alleys. If you want flashing lights, sticky floors, and overpriced everything... do yourself a favor and at least look for some coupons first. There are much better options out there, even if they are a little bit further away. I will not be giving Brunswick/Bowlero any more of my money.
We had our sons 7th bday here. The Manager Tom was great and very customer service oriented. We will definitely come back again.
Just like all the other bowleros'
Clean and decent. Food was ok.
It's a bowling alley what can I say
I took my kids here with a voucher I Purchased on Groupon. We had a blast on a Friday night late in the evening, no crowds, staff very respectful.
Nice place to play bowling and weekend getaway
Good location and lanes conditioned well for league and open bowling. Staff are great!
Planned a party, but I probably won't choose this location again. It's a pretty basic bowling alley. The bowling itself was good, and my daughter really enjoyed the arcade. But the menu wasn't friendly to anyone who's gf, and I thought paying $17 for non-bowlers to have pizza & chips/salsa (soft drinks sold separately) was kind of crazy. I was also told that we'd have a server and could open a tab for misc food/drink, but instead we were constantly up at the counter asking for things, even forks and napkins. The party packages are pretty inflexible and I would argue impractical unless every person is paying his/her own way. Our party was smaller, too. I wish I would have sent my husband to hold a lane or two at one of the nicer alleys near I88. We would have paid more for food, but had a more stress-free experience.
Very fun place, great beer selection.
Great place I just wish taco Tuesday started earlier.
Unlimited bowling for $8 on Wednesday
A couple of lane problems and very poor service seemed under staffed
I went with some friends recently and we had a great time! Friendly staff, nice lanes, clean. Def recommend for a fun night out
Fun place to go but they need more than one pool table
Even though there were leagues bowling they had open lanes so bowling was fun
Excellent services and good facility upkeep
Good lanes but pricey
nice and entertaining place, service is very good.....we book as a group and they provide us a good deal and excellent service
Great house for true league bowlers.
Great service
The bar was kinda slow but the alley was cool.
I like the ambient, staff need some training for applicable coupon’s especially from Groupon. Less spacious as compare to other branch.
Fun family night!
The lanes had a lot of glitches
Always a good time
Fun, kind of pricey for everything though.
I've been going to Paul for my bowling equipment for years and he's always provided great service.
For bowling it is a good establishment. For billiards not so. They have one pool table, it is in the bar. They charge $19.80 per hour for it. And it is not a full size table.
